Greetings WIN METHOD baseball fans and those of you trying to save America from being destroyed by the people presently running/ruining America right now. Eight months is a long time between blog posts, but once this season got rolling, I didn't want to upset the applecart.
The 2022 season, what can I say? So far so good. This team seems to be on a mission and their goal is the World Series. The mid-point of the season seemed to be a good time to chime in. Having a thirteen-game lead on your closest competitor is a pretty good place to be in.
The YANKEE minor league teams have a great amount of up-and-coming talent developing through the system and should make for a consistent playoff team for many years to come. The loser fans who are not happy with making the playoffs consistently have issues to deal with in their thought process. Since the onset of the WIN METHOD, the YANKEES have been the winningest team in all of baseball and have never had a losing season. Unfortunately, no team can win the big prize all the time, and no team can even play for the big prize all the time, however, no team comes close to playing for and winning the World Series more than the YANKEES.
Here is a bit of information all WIN METHOD YANKEE fans should love hearing, here it is, Aaron Judge will finish his career in a New York YANKEE uniform.
Now, as the YANKEES continue through this season, it appears apparent to most YANKEE fans, the YANKEES need to do some tinkering with player personnel to upgrade the team in certain positions. Let me tell you, YANKEE management is well aware of these concerns and are addressing them. I cannot divulge who, how, where, when, and what will be done, because it is an ongoing process with many variables that must be considered and accounted for. Please remember fans, the YANKEES management makes the final decisions after hearing all input from many sources. Then after all is concluded, it always comes down to the performance of the players on the field when it matters and counts most. No individual stat of any player is more important than the team winning. Wins and winning are in the final analysis the determining factor in the best players and teams are every season.
The YANKEES have been playing .700 baseball so far this season and that is outstanding. Just playing .600 baseball for the rest of the season will carry them to the playoffs.
WIN METHOD fans, you all know when this blog started, how it has grown, and number of views that it has received over the past fourteen years. It is the number one YANKEE baseball blog, forum, site, message board in the world. WIN METHOD fans, you did that. Many of you have come from other sites that have either failed or folded, are struggling with minimal views, or are still in operation, but are of poor quality where posters are not really allowed to speak freely. You WIN METHOD fans have this blog on track to reach one billion four hundred million views this year. THANK YOU ALL, THE GREATEST AND MOST INTELLIGENT BASEBALL FANS ON EARTH.

«Oldest ‹Older 1001 – 1200 of 1751 Newer› Newest»Judge next home runs breaks Ruth's record and ties Maris's record. Unbelievable history before our eyes.
Worked till midnight. Watched replay of ninth inning on YES app on my phone. Thrilling to say the least.
I may be older than anyone on this great blog, and I have seen oh so many games in my life. Every time I think I've seen the greatest game, down the road there is another one that tops the list. I have seen so much winning with the Yankees in my life, I am very lucky to be a life long Yankees fan, born in 1933.
No matter what happens for the rest of the season. 1.The Yankees have had another winning season. 2.The Yankees are going to the playoffs again. 3.The Yankees (Judge) have had a season for the record books. Will there be more.
What a win last night, just watched the ninth inning three times in a row to believe it actually happened!
With Bader in the centerfield and Cabrera and Judge in the corners, logically going forward it eliminates the need and use of Hicks making his value to the Yankees nil. Adios amigo.

Back to back identical lineups. Get another win and all is fine. Everyone contributed last night. Then again, Gallo is gone, and Hicks never got into the game. Think positive.
Bader compared to Hicks.
Bader is better offensively, batting average, contact hitter, power hitter, situational hitter. Better defensively, coming in on ball, going back on ball, going into gaps for ball, better arm, situational defense. Better base runner, base stealer, faster, situational. More baseball acumen, common sense, situational.
Hicks is better at striking out. swinging at pitches in the dirt, high, and wide.
Four or five innings from Louie Louie tonight. He was really pumped in the dugout last night when Judge hit his 60th. Schmidt, Weissert, Luetge, Peralta, etcetera.
Lets go Yankees.
Cabrera with a first inning grand slam for a 4-0 Yankee lead.
WIN METHOD fans, you have just taken the WIN METHOD blog over the one billion four million total views mark. You are the most knowledgeable and most intelligent baseball fans in the world.
Yanks up 4-1 after 4.
Louie Louie goes five very strong innings and leaves with a 6-1 lead. He threw just 64 pitches. Hope Cole was watching and learned something.
Yanks score 8 runs in 8th inning for a 14-2 lead in a routing of the Pirates completing a two game sweep of the series.
Final. Yankees win 14-2. Louie Louie with the win going five innings allowing 1 run and 2 hits and was in control all the way. Luetge went two innings allowing 1 run. Marinaccio and Weissert one inning each with no runs. Cabrera won game in first inning with a grand slam. In the history of baseball yesterday and today was the first time the same team hit a grand slam walk off home run to win a game and then in their next game hit a first inning grand slam home run. Torres had two home runs and both came in the 8 run eighth inning. Again, everyone in the lineup contributed. And yes, Hicks did not get into the game.
Four home games with the sux up next. When Maris hit his 61st home run it was against the sux. Judge will do the same and maybe more. The sux, the cellar dwelling patsies of the AL East.
Taillon, Cole, German, and Cortes for the sux series.
So Bader has played two games for the Yankees and has five RBI's. It's amazing what you can do when you put the ball in play.
Raining in city now but will be gone before game time.

Third day in a row, wins the first two days. Keep it going. Just kick Hicks out already, make room for another good player, and out with the trash.
Britton put on Yankee roster, Andujar has been DFA'd and sent packing, and in the meantime, Hicks the stain on the team is staying wearing pinstripes.
Scoreless thru three innings. Judge has walked twice.
Yanks score first in the fifth, Higashioka with a sac fly for a 1-0 lead. Judge strikes out with runners on 1st and 2nd one out on a 3-2 pitch.
Yanks up 3-0 after 6.
Taillon goes six shutout innings, was totally dominant, and leaves with a 3-0 lead.
Stanton 2 run homer in 6th gives Yanks 3-0 lead after 6.
Schmidt in for the seventh and instantly makes the first six innings moot. First four batters, home run, single, walk home run. Then he gets the next three batters. Yankees down 4-3. Just have to come back to win it.
Judge walks for third time in game in 7th inning, but Yankees don't score. Trail 4-3.
Bader does it all, everything Hicks can't do. Gets runner in from 3rd with less than 2 out with a sac fly. 4-4 game going to the 9th.
Judge flies out to centerfield fence in 9th. A 400+ foot out. On to extra innings.
Final. Yankees win 5-4 in ten innings. Donaldson walk off RBI single wins it on second pitch of inning. No drama. Holmes who pitched a scoreless 9th and 10th gets the win. Stanton with a 2 run home run, Higashioka and Bader each with a sacrifice fly for all the runs. Downer of game was Schmidt's one inning of work allowing 4 runs in the 7th inning blowing a Yankee 3-0 lead.
Theeeeeeeeeeee Yankeeeeeeeeeeeeeees Winnnnnnnnnnnn. 5-4 in 10. The win guarantees the Yankees are in the playoffs. But we all knew that six months ago.
Cole tomorrow night. Can he match Taillon's six scoreless innings? Of course he is able to, but will he do it?
Don't overlook Judge's play on the sux leadoff batter in the ninth. Judge played the ball off the rightfield wall and threw the batter out at second base with a perfect throw, and I mean perfect.
Judge just missed the winning HR in the 9th. The FOX announcer thought it was gone. After it was caught he did say it on the air, that he thought it was gone.
Bader, three games with the Yankees, when it matters most rbi's every game, great base running, and exceptional defense.
This is from a poster on the nyyfan forum site that is dying a slow death about there aite.

Most people don't even know this board still exists any longer. Our best days are long gone. The WIN METHOD site is number one now. They promote free talk there and have never banned anyone. When someone posts something really stupid like so many posts here, you can really call the poster out on it freely with real expressions and thoughts. I post there now.
http://winmethod.blogspot.com/
Bader has three games under his belt with the Yankees. In those three games he has 6 RBI's. That is more than Hicks has since July.
John Hartnett, that is why there are double digit posters here who left that cesspool forum. It is mostly the moderators fault. They are known as the three stooges across Yankee baseball websites. Their second problem is the poor quality of the posters. So much baloney and nonsense posted over and over. Third issue is the abhorrent use of fake stats. They have earned the name stat frauds.

Lefty starting for sux. Rizzo out. Bader out, who knows why. Garbage in LF, who knows why.
Bader is probably out because of his foot issue. He may need a day here and there. Peraza or Locastro before Hicks every time.
Tonight's lineup does have 9 right handed bats. Three have them can also bat right handed if the opportunity arises.
How meaningless are stats.....Duh, 🤡🤡🤡🤡 use them. Judge fly out to centerfield wall was the hardest hit ball of the game and traveled the furthest. Yet, there were three home runs in the game. A solo HR a two run HR and a three run HR. Two runs of the nine scored came on outs. Six on HR's and one, the game winning hit a single. The pitcher who pitched worst in the game was on the winning team. A batter was hit by a pitch (HBP) but wasn't scored that way. In the end only one stat mattered. The win.
Cole does it again. Gives up a first inning home run. Cole doesn't fool many hitters but he does over power them. Unfortunately he keeps showing he is not an ace.
Hicks homers in first at bat to tie game at 1 in third inning. Baseball is a funny game. And sometimes not so funny. Judge flies out to left. 1-1 after 3.
Hicks again. RBI single in fifth makes it 2-1 Yankees. After Judge and Stanton make outs, Torres with a two out when it matters most 2 RBI double makes it a 4-1 lead after five.
Cole does it again. Gives up three run home run in sixth blowing the Yankee 4-1 lead tying the score at 4-4. Cole gets the last out and then screams at the home plate ump and gets thrown out of the game. Now it's up to the bullpen.
Cole is not taking charge. He's a six inning struggling pitcher. Again 103 pitches. That is not sustainable when you give up as many home runs and runs as he does.
Final. Yankees win 5-4. Cole gives up 4 runs in six innings. Yankee bullpen, Marinaccio scoreless 7th and Loaisiga a scoreless 8th and 9th and earns the win. Hicks 2 rbi's, and Torre's 2 rbi's. The game winning rbi by Trevino single. Bader scores the winning run by pinch hitting in the 8th inning with 2 outs and nobody on base. Works a 4 pitch walk. Steals 2nd and goes to third on a throwing error setting up Trevino's two out when it matters most game winning single. Cole is his own worst enemy.
Sweet win tonight. Bader brings life to this team. Now the Yankees pay Judge some decent bucks. Four games, four wins, and he was a factor in each game.
Cole is pitching like a good middle of the rotation guy. Keeps you in the game, gives you a chance to win. He is like the other Yankee starters who have been doing that all season. That is why the Yankees are where they are, on top of the division. In games like tonight's if the lineup gets that big hit when it matters most, the team wins. And if the bullpen throws their shutout innings the team wins. This team is so very dependent on everyone contributing.
German starts tomorrow for a chance to win this series.

Just twelve more games left in the regular season. Yanks are in the playoffs. Judge is trying for the single season home run record.
Yankees leading 5-3 after five. Torres solo home run and Cabrera two run home run only Yankee homers so far. German went five innings giving up 3 runs. Britton in game making his first appearance since last years surgery. A tryout for the post season.
Britton fails first test. Did get a strikeout, but allowed single and walked three before being taken out.
Rizzo two run homerun in seventh gives Yanks 7-5 lead after seven.
Final. Yankees win 7-5 Luetge gets the win. Schmidt a hold and Effross the save. Torres, Cabrera and Rizzo with home runs. Bader with a head long diving catch in centerfield. Yankees take this series with the third win over the sux and have chance for a sweep tomorrow.
Playing good ball.
Cortes tomorrow for the sweep try on the despised espn Sunday night game.
Remember baseball fans. Only the best teams and players help get their team to the playoffs each season. The best teams and the best players help get their team to the playoffs the most.
johnsondc, but there are no individual stats in wins. Wins are only a team stat. Individual stats are all that matters and are the only stats that matter. The heck with wins. Who cares.
The above is what the general stat fraud believes. They do not know baseball, and they do not know what it takes to play baseball, the greatest sport in the world.
Every pitch to a batter is a head to head battle in every game for every inning, for every at bat, since the beginning of the game. That has never changed.
WIN METHOD has shown the way, and has turned on the lights for so many fans for a long time now. If you don't know the WIN METHOD, you more than likely don't know baseball and how to win.
BIGTIMEYANKEE, that was one heck of a fine comment. Hear hear.
Democrats are crooked, corrupt cheats that don't accept the will of the people in elections, and they've been that way since their inception.
Rizzo's left handed bat does make a difference in the lineup. LeMahieu and Benintendi and Carpenter back next year, with Bader in centerfield give the Yankees a lot to look forward to.
Add Rortvedt to catcher also.

No Stanton as Judge is DH. No Donaldson nor IKF. Gonzalez and Peraza in.
Steve(winstheonlystat), when I look at the names you have at each position as a possibility for next season, I like tonight's lineup thinking ahead.
0-0 after 3.
Trevino two out RBI single when it matters most scores first run of game. Yankees lead 1-0 after four.
Cortes goes six scoreless innings. Heavy rain storm a short way out. Yanks coming to bat in sixth leading 1-0.
Yanks up 2-0 after 6.
Yanks a a free run in 6th as sux right fielder drops fly ball. Peraza called out on strikes for third out, none of the balls were in the K-zone strike box. Pathetic umpire to say the least in the nicest way.
Rain delay.
Final. Yankees win 2-0. Game called after six innings. Heavy rains continuing. Cortes goes the six innings allowing 0 runs an just 1 hit. Cabrera double and Trevino 2 out when it counts most rbi single wins it. Yankees sweep sux in four game series.
Yankees in Toronto tonight for a three game series. No starting pitchers have been named by either team as of now. Both teams have made the playoffs.
We have no way of knowing what the Yankee manager and his coaches are thinking or planning, but the rotation could be Louie Louie, Taillon, and Cole.
Louie Louie is starting tonight.

Been a solid run producing and most important, winning lineup. Do it again?
Yankees lead 2-0 thru three. IKF has Yankee home run. Judge a single and a walk.
2-2 after 4.
2-2 after 7.
2-2 thru nine. Extra innings of little league baseball. Yankee bullpen has thrown five scoreless innings so far.
Final. Yankees lose 3-2 in ten. Explanation of Manfred MLB little league rules. Schmidt in to pitch the 10th. Fake runner on second base. Schmidt gets the first two outs and then gives up a single and loses game. In real baseball there would have been two outs and a runner on first base. Schmidt would be pitching to get the third out.
The regular season games the Yankees are playing until the season ends are meaningless games. The Yankees are trying to get healthy, trying to get Judge a few more home runs, finding the right combination of players for the post season, and so on.
Newly released polling data shows a significant number of Americans believe Joe Biden should be impeached.
Rasmussen Reports released the data, which found that about half of Independents are ready to oust the criminal Biden. Republicans voters overwhelmingly believe Biden should be impeached.

That alone is sad and shows just how bad things are in this country when that many utter fools think things are going well. I hope you make some inroads and even changing the minds of a few percent of people can make a big difference.
Yanks up 2-1 after 3.
Yankees producing when it matters most tonight so far. Lead 5-2 after six. Rizzo rbi single, Torres three rbi singles, Hicks rbi double. Taillon with a strong six innings.
Theeeeeeeeeeeee Yankeeeeeeeeeeeeeees Winnnnnnnnnnnn. 5-2. AMERICAN LEAGUE EAST DIVISIONAL CHAMPIONS.
Final. Yankees win 5-2. Taillon goes 7 1/3 innings giving up 2 runs for the win. Trivino goes the last 1 2/3 giving up 0 runs for the save. Torres 3 rbi's, Rizzo and Hicks 1 rbi each. Tonight's win gave the Yankees the AL East Division title.
Next up the second season, also know as the playoffs, were only the best teams and players play. All the other teams and players go home to watch or do whatever they do.
Tomorrows game in Toronto should be fun. The Yankees have clinched the division crown making the rest of the regular season games meaningless. Cole starts, no pressure, nothing to play for but Judge home runs. I wonder if the Yanks and Jays could work out a one day deal where Judge could play for the Jays and face Cole the AL give up home run king.
Cole starts tomorrow.
Congratulations to the entire Yankee family from top to bottom for winning the American League East Division title. Wishing you all the best in the playoffs. In the end the best of the best team and players will win the World Series. They will accomplish that feat in only one way, winning. The team and the players who produce the most when it matters the most will win the most and the team and players who win the most will be the champions. WINS and WINNING always defines the best team and players. In every game, series, week, month, season. It ain't luck.
Division Champions. First round bye. Great job guys. Keep on winning.
A short respite from every game deciding your fate. AL East Division Championship has been won and the New York Yankees have won it.
Think positive, be positive, the best is yet to come.
HerecomestheJudge, that is funny. Judge who has hit the most home runs batting against Cole the pitcher who has given up the most home runs. I just wish it would happen soon, Judge doesn't need all those eyes watching him every moment. It has to be tense and even annoying to some degree. The media has to be the biggest garbage to put up with.
Re, Joe Biden and joe-bama/commie MALADY administration
Contrary to media propaganda, there’s no economic comeback. The policy victories are destructive, but limited. Biden’s comeback consists of openly going to war on Republicans. From the Mar-a-Lago raid to denouncing half the country as “semi-fascists” and threatening them with F-15s, Biden is using the rhetoric of civil war to stay in power.
Biden, a corrupt senile nothing, has clung to various forms of government power since 1971 because it paid better than managing a swimming pool. Even barely able to assemble a sentence, he’s not about to abandon that 50-year legacy without a fight. Unable and unwilling to save America, he’s ready to destroy it and unleash a civil war if it will keep him in power.
History makes us think of dictators as big men, but they were often little men in big costumes. Their hunger for power came from inferiority complexes, chips on their shoulders, and a creeping sense of inadequacy. The only reason people stopped thinking of them as comical is because they wielded absolute power and unleashed a bloody tide of destruction.
And then no one was laughing anymore.
The difference between pathetic and evil lies in the successful use of power. School shooters are pathetic until they manage to kill a dozen kids. The underwear bomber was a joke, but if he had taken down a passenger jet, no one would be laughing. People have been laughing at Biden his entire life. And his inflated ego is tired of it. He may not have much of a brain left, but when you’re already the president, you don’t need much of one to destroy America.
I would think after today's game the Yankees will try to set up their rotation to how they want it for the playoffs. Also give some guys rest, and see who of the injured they get back and are fir enough to contribute when it matters most.
When you watch Bo Bishitte play shortstop he makes IKF look like a defensive wiz.

Just kidding Yankee fans, maybe.
Tonight's game is big for Toronto and means nothing for Yankees. Would love to kick infield sand in their eyes and trounce them.
I live on west coast of Florida and evacuated with family to my sisters place in western Georgia.
Maybe the Blue Jay pitchers make a few mistakes tonight and Judge doesn't miss them. A multi HR game would put a lot of people out of their angst.
Yankees give Cole three first inning runs, what will he do with them?
Brutal: Biden repeatedly asks if representative Walorski, who was killed in a car crash last month, is in attendance at White House speech today. How in God's name can this continued incompetence/ignorance/dementia/senility be acceptable by anyone with half a brain.
Hicks with a major base running error in second getting thrown out for a force out at second base on what should have been a line single. Prevented the Yanks from scoring at least another run.
Yanks up 3-0 after 4.
Cole has a perfect game going into the sixth inning with the Yankees leading 3-0 and he cracks again. Gets hammered, loses his poise, allows three runs tying the game at three all after six innings. Not what you want from your likely post season first game starting pitcher.
Top of seventh, Aaron Judge hits his 61st home run for the highest single season home run total in American League history. With it he puts Yankees back in front 5-3.
Judge hit 61st home run. Judge hits 61st home run. 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Judge does it. Hits home run number sixty-one. Gives Yankees 5-3 lead. Ball lands in Blue Jay bullpen. No bonanza for any fan.
Judge does. Number 61 goes in the record books, number 62 not far away. When it comes Judge will be alone at the top of the record book.
Britton in for the 7th. Gets two easy outs and then walks next two. Effross brought in. Gets third out on easy grounder. Yankees lead 6-3 thru seven.
Congratulations Aaron Judge. The best home run hitter I have ever seen.
Final. Judge hits 61st home run. Yankees win 8-3. Cole gets win thanks to Judge 7th inning 2 run home run. Britton, Effross, Schmidt, Chapman combine for three scoreless innings from the bullpen to close out the win. Seven games left in the regular season.
We just took 2 of 3 from a possible playoff opponent.
Judge did it. Homer 61. Cole was perfect for five innings then was horrid in sixth inning, getting hit hard and allowing Jays 3 runs to tie the game. He keeps giving up multiple run innings each start.
Off day tomorrow. Great season for Aaron Judge. Most important, he helped his team get into the playoffs again.
Congratulations Aaron Judge. You are the man, and you did it without drug enhancement the cheaters used while the MLB hierarchy looked the other way and condoned.
Yanks are off today and then host the Orioles for a three game series over the weekend. Yanks have name their starters for the series, German, Cortes, and Louie Louie.
Aaron Judge will resume his march of setting new single season home run totals in the American League, the superior league.
Here it is, short and sweet.
Any vote for a liberal, progressive, democrat, or any combination of the three is a vote for an imbecile.
Former Congressman Michael Myers ( D-PA ) sentenced to 30 months in prison for voter fraud.
But, but there was no fraud, what a joke these democrats are.
Argy M, any vote for a democrat is a vote to destroy America, freedom, equality, and humanity. Sadly, some voters are unable to understand or just don't care. Scary.
To all our posters affected by hurricane Ian. Prayers are with you and your families. Hope all of you are OK and make it through the devastation as best you can. More prayers.
Natures fury can make everything else seem very secondary. Man can not stop nature and evolution. What will be will be.
Congratulations to Aaron Judge for his great season. You have cemented your name into Yankee lore and the great Yankee chain of heroes and greats of all time.
I bet the team had a very pleasant day off today. Back in action tomorrow for the weekend. All the relievers will see action over the final seven games of the season. LeMahieu will likely see some action also. Let's see it all shakes out.
Getting back to Cole and yesterday's collapse. How does a pitcher with his 'stature' and 'stuff' pitch five perfect innings and then fold like a cheap accordion in one inning? It was a little uncanny, unless giving up the home run to start the inning, lose the perfect game, lose the no hitter, and give up a run shook him up that badly.
Rain in NY over weekend. Tonight looks fine, Sat and Sun could be very iffy.

8. Isiah Kiner-Falefa (R) SS
9. Jose Trevino (R) C
LeMahieu back, first time in a long time.
Nice to see DJ back. If he can play the way he usually plays he will help the team.
Yanks down 1-0 after 2.
Cabrera home run ties game at 1 all after five innings.
Britton makes his third relief appearance and fails again. 0 for 3. Not earning a post season spot.
Yankees trailing 2-1 after seven innings. Cabrera home run only Yankee run.
Final. Yankees lose 2-1. German takes the loss with a lot of help from Britton failing again in relief. Yankees only four hits. Judge single plus he walked twice, Kiner-Falefa single, and Cabrera single and the lone Yankee run a home run. Well, it was a so what game.
Cortes tomorrow, weather permitting.
Todays Yankee Lineup
Nestor Cortes (L) P
1. Aaron Judge (R) RF
2. Anthony Rizzo (L) 1B
3. Gleyber Torres (R) 2B
4. Josh Donaldson (R) 3B
5. Giancarlo Stanton (R) DH
6. Oswaldo Cabrera (S) LF
7. Harrison Bader (R) CF
8. Kyle Higashioka (R) C
9. Oswald Peraza (R) SS
Perazza get in again. Judge HR day?
Holmes out of action with sore shoulder. Got cortisone shot. Iffy for ALDS.
Britton done for season. Dead arm and it showed in his very poor three outings.
Right now, game delayed, will be played.
Cortes strikes out the side to start game. I wonder what Cole thinks when he sees Cortes out pitch him game after game.
Crazy fact:: Yankees see only 10 pitches in first inning. Six batters in inning.
Fitst batter. Pitch 1. HBP. Runner on first.
Secon batter. Pitch 5. Ground ball force out. One out runner on first. One out.
Third batter. Pitch 7. Double, rbi, moves to third on throw home.
Fourth batter. Pitch 8. Sacrifice fly, rbi. Two out.
Fifth batter. Pitch 9. Home run, rbi.
Sixth batter. Pitch 19. Fly out. Three out.
Inning 3 runs, 2 hits. Yankees lead 3-0 after first inning.
Yankees ice game with 4 runs in 7th inning to take an 8-0 lead. Cortes continues to pitch into the 8th inning. Cortes through seven innings, 0 runs, 1 hit, 2 walks.
Final. Yankees win 8-0. Cortes, the Yankee ace, pitched 7 1/3 innings of totally dominant baseball. Gave up close to nothing as you can get. 0 runs, 1 hit, and 2 walks for the easy win. Pretty much everyone contributed to the win today. Stanton had a solo home run. Judge watch, HBP, 2 walks, 2 K's. Never put the ball in play. Stuck on 61. Downer would be the Yankee baserunning today. Three guys thrown out on the basepaths.
It looks as if it will be hard to get tomorrow's game played. But, you never know.
If game gets played tomorrow the Yankees will start a 30 year old named Chi Chi Gonzalez. MLB career record 9 wins and 24 losses.
There are 30 MLB teams. Only 5 have played .600 baseball and all 5 will be in the 2022 post season playoffs. Congratulations to these 5 teams, their owners, their front offices, their management team, managers, coaches, and players.
Yankees load bases in second with one out, Hicks K's, Judge K's. Yankees trail 1-0.
Chapman in for the 7th and it's a walk in the park for the Orioles. Chapman gives up 2 runs putting the Yanks down 3-1.
Final. Yankees lose 3-1. Another pathetic display of producing when it mattered most. Gonzalez goes 4 1/3 innings allowing just 1 run. Chapman goes 1/3 inning and allows 2 runs for the lost. How can a pitcher with over a decade of pitching not be able to throw the ball over the plate in the strike zone? This was a three game series and the Yankees scored 10 run and gave up 5. Just meaningless stats. The Yankees lost the series 2 games to 1. Failure to produce when it matters most rules stats and makes fools of fans who quote and use meaningless individual stats to rate players. On to Texas for four games to close out the season.
Judge did not look good today, and I got the impression he was pressing.
Four games in Texas. Monday, Louie Louie. Tuesday game one, Taillon. Game two, Cole. Wednesday, German.
Todays Yankee Lineup
Luis Severino (R) P
1. Aaron Judge (R) RF
2. Giancarlo Stanton (R) DH
3. Gleyber Torres (R) 2B
4. Josh Donaldson (R) 3B
5. DJ LeMahieu (R) 1B
6. Aaron Hicks (S) CF
7. Oswald Peraza (R) SS
8. Kyle Higashioka (R) C
9. Marwin Gonzalez (S) LF
LF and CF offensively and defensively a big drop in ability. Judge watch for number 62. Louie Louie looking for a strong six plus innings?
Here comes the Judge!
Pitchers duel in Texas. No score after four innings. Yankees have two hits, Rangers have none.
Yankees score first. Higashioka RBI single in fifth puts Yankees up 1-0 after five.
Watching Stanton bat tonight, I have discerned a very notable difference in his mechanics from what he has been doing since his return from the DL. I am sure of what I see, and if I am right you will see a devastating bat going forward. Watch out.
Yanks up 1-0 after 6.
Louie Louie goes seven innings. 0 runs 0 hits 1 walk erased on a double play. Just 21 batters.
That moves Cole down to either 3 or 4 in the rotation with Tallion. Cortes and Louie Louie being one and two or vice versa.
YankeeMike speaks and in his next at bat Stanton crushes a long long home run. The wisdom on this forum is incomparable. Best in the world.
Final. Yankees win 3-1. Louie Louie, what a game, gets the win. Seven innings, no runs, no hits, 1 walk. Castro, first game back from DL, pitches the eighth and gives up 1 run on 2 hits and gets a hold. Effross closes the ninth, 1,2,3 for the save. Offense, Higashioka rbi single.
Gonzalez and Stanton with eighth innings solo home runs. Judge comes up empty. Downer, Yankees hit into six double plays.
Nice game form Louie Louie. Nice observation and call by YankeeMike. Play two tomorrow.
Boone and the Yankees may have a few 'aces' up their sleeves. DJ and Effross back. Castro shows up out of nowhere. Louie Louie just coming into peak form. More to come?
Only stat frauds give up. WIN METHOD fans never give up and play to the last mans out.
I really enjoyed the game tonight. So many positives minus the double plays hit into. Very uplifting vibes.
Boone made a good call taking Louie Louie out after seven innings. You could see him talking to Louie Louie about it and explaining why. The playoffs are more important. It made the who thing easier when Gonzalez and Stanton added on two insurance runs in the eighth.
Taillon and Cole tomorrow. I do not think either will match Louie Louie.
Yanks have split double header today, 2PM and 8PM. Lets go Yankees.
IT IS GETTING CLOSER ----- ELECTIONS JUST FIVE WEEKS AWAY ------ ANY VOTE FOR ANY LIBERAL LEFT WING DEMOCRAT IS A VOTE TO DESTROY AMERICA ----
VOTE FOR TRUMP CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICANS OR CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICANS AND MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN ----- BURY THE PROGRESSIVE DEMOCRAT SCUM WITH VOTES ------- WIPE THEM OUT!
I am asking every democrat voter to vote Republican. Do you think things are good for America and the American people. White house lies, inflation, crime, home fuel prices, food prices, investments crashing, illegal immigrants running amok, gas prices? You are intelligent people, you have to see what is happening, you can help save our country from democrat liberal scum politicians, all of them. VOTE FOR TRUMP CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICANS OR CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICANS.
WE THE PEOPLE are done with MAGA performative politics, lies, and incompetence
CONSERVATIVES continue to try to police the personal lives of FREE AMERICANS by pushing national abortion bans and criminalizing personal choice at the state level - this must be stopped
WE THE PEOPLE see that the poorest states with the highest poverty, lowest test scores, highest drug use, and highest crime are RED STATES (Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, West Virginia, Kentucky, etc). Blue states like NY, NJ, Mass, Connecticut, California have the highest paying jobs, lowest crime, most educated people and subsidize red state failures year after year
Vote DEM anywhere and everyone to save this country from ruin
GO YANKEES

8. Marwin Gonzalez (S) RF
9. Kyle Higashioka (R) C
Two games today. Those out for this game likely in for second game.
2-2 after 2.
Cabrera first inning solo home run, Peraza second inning solo home run, Taillon with a bad first inning and a shaky second inning. Scored tied at 2 after two innings.
Yanks down 4-3 after 6.
Top of eighth Yankees trail 4-3. >>> When it matters most. >>> Higashioka home run ties game 4-4. Bader RBI single gives Yankees 5-4 lead. Hicks strike out with a men on 2nd and 3rd and one out.
Final. Yankees win 5-4. Taillon goes six innings allowing 4 runs. Chapman goes scoreless 7th and gets win when Yankees score 2 runs in the 8th. Weissert throws a scoreless 8th and gets a hold. Loaisiga throws a scoreless 9th and gets a save. Yankees get three home runs, all solo's, from Cabrera, Peraza, and Higashioka. RBI singles from Gonzales and the game winner from Bader. Judge comes up empty again and will DH again in night game later.
Cole starts tonight. A win give the Yankees this series and 100 wins on the season. Both, in essence, meaningless stats right now.
Todays Yankee Lineup

2. Giancarlo Stanton (R) DH
3. Oswaldo Cabrera (S) 2B
4. Josh Donaldson (R) 3B
5. DJ LeMahieu (R) 1B
6. Oswald Peraza (R) SS
7. Harrison Bader (R) CF
8. Jose Trevino (R) C
9. Aaron Hicks (S) LF
Here we go again. Stanton, Donaldson, LeMahieu, Trevino all in for game two. Cole out to prove he's numero uno?
Grosner, your post was one of the most despicable disgusting body of lies and America hating rant I have ever read. Pure filth.
Everyone, you see what democrat liberals are in Grosner's post. Put an end to their reign of terror and shame. Vote every one them pieces of garbage out of every office in America.
Three Yankees are one, two, three, spots for the AL single season home run title. That won't change if he hits another home run or not.
If Grosner believes what he wrote, he and others like him are the problem and exacerbate it.
The deed has been done. Judge hits number 62 to lead off game. Congratulations, Aaron Judge.
1-1 after 3.
Judge was taken out of the game after Yanks batted in top of second. Judge went out to right field and then Boone replaced him to a standing ovation from the fans at the game.

You were right YankeeMike. Stanton just hit another HR. Two in two games.
Cole does it again. After Yanks take 2-1 lead in fifth, Cole gives up 2 run HR putting Yankees down 3-2 thru five.
Final. Yankees lose 3-2. Judge and Stanton solo home runs for all the Yankee runs. Cole can't hang and takes the loss. Cole gives up a two tun home run again and it seems he is having major troubles shutting down any team he faces.
One regular season game to go. On to the playoffs.
German start last game of regular season. Yankees conclude another great season, win the AL East Division, earn a first round bye in the second season playoffs and win 100 games.
We still have the playoffs this year, but I am anticipating next season and what it may bring with Peraza and Cabrera for a full season. And hopefully starting 2023 with a fully healthy Benintendi, Carptenter, LeMahieu and more.
deb F and Jackson Dewitt: I 100% believe right wing conservatives want to criminalize and restrict abortion, and so do you. They are literally passing laws now and saying it forever.
I 100% believe that Mississippi, Louisiana, West Virginia, and Kentucky have lowest test scores, highest poverty, etc and that they are run by deep red governments. And so do you, because it is fact. Not sure where the lies are?
Cole will add 2 to 3 mph to his 4 seamer for playoffs. He has been holding himself back to be ready for playoffs. I expect dominance from him.
Todays Yankee Lineup
Domingo German (R) P
1. DJ LeMahieu (R) 2B
2. Anthony Rizzo (L) 1B
3. Oswaldo Cabrera (S) LF
4. Josh Donaldson (R) 3B
5. Oswald Peraza (R) SS
6. Jose Trevino (R) DH
7. Marwin Gonzalez (S) RF
8. Kyle Higashioka (R) C
9. Aaron Hicks (S) CF
Judge out. I would think we may see several bullpen pitchers today.
Grosner, I resent you using the "so do you" phrase trying to make believe I support your lies.
Re abortion. The Supreme Court gave each state the right to decide on how abortion should be handled, rescinding the illegal federal mandate. The people of each state will set the abortion standards of their own state. Yes, the PEOPLE, the VOTERS of each state. Abortion is murder.
Re test scores, highest poverty. Half the states you named are run by deepest darkest bluest democrats.
Re Cole, as a life long Yankee fan and a WIN METHOD fan since day one of this blog, I hope you are right and will be rooting for Cole. However, I do not believe he has been holding back. He is what he is.
Grosner, you brought up topics which over 2/3 of American voters do not find to be of high importance to them. Let's talk about democrat liberal crime...murders in the street daily, inflation, fuel prices...home and automobile, the joe-bama/commie MALADY crime family, open borders with millions illegally storming into America, drugs killing kids daily, etc. All of this because of the scum of America...the democrats, liberals, progressives, communists, and you.
Meaningless, I know, but it would be nice to finish the season with 100 wins.
Under the control and direction of the joe-bama/commie administration, the corrupt FBI is manipulating, covering up, and hiding murder rates across the United States, by not reporting data from certain high rate towns, cities, and states.
Also being reported, OPEC is reducing petroleum production within a month, spitting in the face of the feckless fool Biden, thus raising fuel prices on Americans who just two years ago were energy independent and paying very low prices for gasoline and fuel to heat and cool their homes under President Trump.
The Yankees score a run, German gives up a HR to tie the game, the Yankees score a run, German gives up a HR to tie the game. Four innings in the books, 2-2 score.
Yanks down 4-2 after 6.
Set one------ 01 - 10--- 5-5-- 05-05..Not good. Playing .500 ball means no playoffs.
Set two------ 11 - 20--- 9-1-- 14-06..As good as it gets, almost perfect.
Set three---- 21 - 30--- 8-2-- 22-08..Another great ten game set. So far so good.
Set four----- 31 - 40--- 7-3-- 29-11..Not as good as the last two sets, but still good.
Set five----- 41 - 50--- 6-4-- 35-15..Very good set considering team injuries.
Set six------ 51 - 60--- 9-1-- 44-16..Another dominant set. Very strong.
Set seven---- 61 - 70--- 8-2-- 52-18..Yes, another great ten game set. The beat goes on.
Set eight---- 71 - 80--- 6-4-- 58-22..A good series. Half way home and 14 game lead.
Set nine----- 81 - 90--- 4-6-- 62-28..Due to happen, a losing set. Still 12 game lead.
Set ten------ 91 -100--- 5-5-- 67-33..Just holding our own maintaining a double digit lead.
Set eleven---100 -110--- 4-6-- 71-39..Another losing set. Still hold a double digit lead.
Set twelve---111 -120--- 2-8-- 73-47..This set was a disaster & cut Yankee lead to 8 games.
Set thirteen-121 -130--- 6-4-- 79-51..Better, still lead by 7 games. Time for a 7-3 or 8-2.
Set fourteen-131 -140--- 5-5-- 84-56..Trudging along despite injuries. Still 4 1/2 in front
Set 15/16+2--141 -162---15-7-- 99-63..When challenged in the final run to the wire, the Yankees easily pulled away, and won the race eased up at the end.
The regular season is over. The Yankees won the AL East Division and have earned a bye in the first round of the playoffs. Who they play will be determined on the field in the first round of the playoffs. The team that wins their round will then have to face the Yankees. As always, the best teams and the best players will move forward each round.
