WIN METHOD - MID SEASON 2022

Greetings WIN METHOD baseball fans and those of you trying to save America from being destroyed by the people presently running/ruining America right now.  Eight months is a long time between blog posts, but once this season got rolling, I didn't want to upset the applecart.

The 2022 season, what can I say?  So far so good.  This team seems to be on a mission and their goal is the World Series.   The mid-point of the season seemed to be a good time to chime in.  Having a thirteen-game lead on your closest competitor is a pretty good place to be in.

The YANKEE minor league teams have a great amount of up-and-coming talent developing through the system and should make for a consistent playoff team for many years to come.  The loser fans who are not happy with making the playoffs consistently have issues to deal with in their thought process.  Since the onset of the WIN METHOD, the YANKEES have been the winningest team in all of baseball and have never had a losing season.  Unfortunately, no team can win the big prize all the time, and no team can even play for the big prize all the time, however, no team comes close to playing for and winning the World Series more than the YANKEES.

Here is a bit of information all WIN METHOD YANKEE fans should love hearing, here it is, Aaron Judge will finish his career in a New York YANKEE uniform.

Now, as the YANKEES continue through this season, it appears apparent to most YANKEE fans, the YANKEES need to do some tinkering with player personnel to upgrade the team in certain positions.  Let me tell you, YANKEE management is well aware of these concerns and are addressing them.  I cannot divulge who, how, where, when, and what will be done, because it is an ongoing process with many variables that must be considered and accounted for.  Please remember fans, the YANKEES management makes the final decisions after hearing all input from many sources.  Then after all is concluded, it always comes down to the performance of the players on the field when it matters and counts most.  No individual stat of any player is more important than the team winning.  Wins and winning are in the final analysis the determining factor in the best players and teams are every season.

The YANKEES have been playing .700 baseball so far this season and that is outstanding.  Just playing .600 baseball for the rest of the season will carry them to the playoffs.

WIN METHOD fans, you all know when this blog started, how it has grown, and number of views that it has received over the past fourteen years.  It is the number one YANKEE baseball blog, forum, site, message board in the world.  WIN METHOD fans, you did that.  Many of you have come from other sites that have either failed or folded, are struggling with minimal views, or are still in operation, but are of poor quality where posters are not really allowed to speak freely.  You WIN METHOD fans have this blog on track to reach one billion four hundred million views this year.  THANK YOU ALL, THE GREATEST AND MOST INTELLIGENT BASEBALL FANS ON EARTH.

Grosner, if you think what we have now under the joe-bama/commie MALADY administration is freedom you are a sicko.

German listed to start first game today.

Grosner, you are wrong, 100% wrong.

Bond007 said...

Grosner, you are patently wrong. The good old days of republican/democrat are gone. Now we have conservatives which believe in America, law and order, small government, freedom, equality, and basically making America great again and keeping America great. On the other hand, we have the liberals/progressives who believe the opposite of conservatives, they believe in destroying American greatness. You only need to look at America today under the joe-bama/commie MALADY administration.

For anyone not familiar with the MALADY acronym -- Make America Last Again Destroy You.

I am 100% wrong about conservatives passing laws to ban abortion and take away FREEDOM from the women of this country? Did I miss something? Are conservatives pro-choice now? Please set me straight.

5. Miguel Andujar (R) LF
6. Isiah Kiner-Falefa (R) 3B
7. Estevan Florial (L) CF
8. Kyle Higashioka (R) C
9. Oswald Peraza (R) SS

I guess we can't complain. A lot of posters here were asking for this. Lets run with it.

Please let the youngsters produce when it matters most and win the game. We went from a 30 something team to a 20 something team overnight.

Grosner, This is what you said, and I quote "I am 100% wrong about conservatives passing laws to ban abortion and take away FREEDOM from the women of this country? Did I miss something? Are conservatives pro-choice now? Please set me straight". September 7, 2022 at 11:04 AM

Conservatives vote on laws as do voters of any party. The Supreme Court voted that Roe v. Wade was unconstitutional. They stated that the decision re abortion will go to each individual state and the voters of each state will decide the laws for their state. The voters, all voters, will do this by voting. Each state will have their own values and laws set by the voters.

Thus, no woman has had their taken from them. There are remedies for women to prevent getting pregnant so as to not have to think about an abortion. There is a point when abortion becomes murder. That will be up to the voters in each state to decide.

To conclude, you missed everything, you could run for office as a lying left wing liberal democrat.

RLA said...

Barry West, I'm with you.

Grosner said...

Carla, women have already had their FREEDOMS stripped away by state legislators in recent months. No government should have a right to do this in AMERICA.

You are right about one thing: voters can help protect basic autonomy and FREEDOM by voting for every pro-choice Dem in every level of office possible.

German struggling. Has given up 3 runs in four innings. Yanks down 3-0.

Carla Sherwin said...

Grosner, no woman's freedoms have been stripped away by a states legislators. No one should have the right to kill a fetus, except in very special and defined circumstances and or instances.

Still 3-3 thru 10. Yankees can't catch break in 10th when umps blindly miss balk call.

Izy Hernandez said...

Bases loaded nobody out for Yanks in 11th and do not score. 3-3 to the 12th.

YankeeMike said...

Cabrera wins it in 12th with 2 out RBI single. 5-4 Yankee win.

will-i-am said...

Final. Yankees win 5-4 in twelve innings. Cabrera walk off two RBI single wins it. Judge solo HR, Torres 2 run HR, IKF RBI single in 12th ties game and Cabrera wins it. Cabrera also threw a runner out at the plate again which likely was a game saving play. German went six innings allowing 3 runs. German was not sharp but did grind out a credible six innings. Peralta, Loaisiga, both with shutout innings, Holmes with two shutout innings. Marinaccio went 1 1/3 innings giving up a run in the 12th. Weissert got Marinaccio out of big jam in the 12th coming in with the bags full and one out. Got an infield popup and a fly out. Weissert earned the win when the Yankees came back in the 12th to score 2 for the win.

Guy Padikian said...

Todays second game lineup

Gerrit Cole (R) P

1. Aaron Hicks (S) LF
2. Aaron Judge (R) DH
3. Gleyber Torres (R) 2B
4. Oswaldo Cabrera (S) RF
5. Jose Trevino (R) C
6. Marwin Gonzalez (S) 1B
7. Isiah Kiner-Falefa (R) 3B
8. Estevan Florial (L) CF
9. Oswald Peraza (R) SS

Gonzalez at 1B for Guzman who had a horrendous first game. Florial gets another chance in CF after a very poor first game. Cole starts and a win gives the Yankees this series.

Yanks23245 said...

That was some wild and edge of your seat win in todays first game. I hope I can make it through another game.

Eddie OConnor said...

The Yankees could use an eight inning effort from Cole tonight since they used five relievers in the first game. Probably only Weissert of the five would go if needed in game two. Let's go guys, and hope for more from the youngsters.

candycane said...

0-0 after 2.

YankeeMike said...

Hicks with a 2 out bases loaded double for 3 rbi's gives Yankees 7-1 lead in the bottom of 8th and ice's game.

will-i-am said...

Final. Yankees win 7-1. Sweep doubleheader and clinch this series with third win of the four game series. Cole goes 6 2/3 allowing 1 run for the win. Luetge goes 2 1/3 allowing 0 runs and earns the save. All the scoring on two bases loaded hits. IKF grand slam and Hicks double. Final game of this series tomorrow.

Nick Polito said...

Cortes back tomorrow and will start for Yankees. Every win matters.

okiened said...

IKF 4 rbi's and Hicks 3 rbi's for all the Yankee runs in the win. Isn't that what the WIN METHOD teaches fans. Every player on the team contributes. For this game you can even throw in Luetge going 2 1/3 innings of shutout ball for the save. Only wins gets a team to the playoffs and every player contributes.

KevMac said...

The biggest problem with Cole is he throws too many pitches. To much nibbling at corners and too many pitches batters know they can take once the pitch leaves his hand.

Jill Byrnes said...

Cortes back tonight. Five innings? Keep us in game? Almost the entire bullpen pitched yesterday, who and how many can pitch today? Only wins count!

NJYANKEE said...

I just hope the youngsters get to play everyday. Most people (stat frauds) don't realize how even playing these games now do for their development. Come next spring they will all be much better, less awed, and ready to take over a position on the MLB level. Just let them play. Their youth and enthusiasm will be a refreshing breath of air.

FloridaYankee said...

I can't explain why, but Sonny Gray conjures up for me an immense dislike for the guy. Maybe if the Yankees beat him up tonight, my soul will be cleansed of my evil thoughts.

Grosner said...

Jackson, I don't think there is a question on whether Trump mishandled classified information. The only question is whether he let others see it (punishment= life in prison), tried to sell it (punishment= execution), or just kept it unsecured at a golf resort and obstructed efforts to return it (2-5 years in prison). Either way that turkey is going in the fryer. He can share a bunk with Bannon or his CFO who is also going in the slammer.

Don The Con's handpicked attorney general Bill Barr said the DOJ should appeal and the judge's decision was deeply flawed.

Yankees load bases with one out in bottom of ninth down 4-3. Torres strikes out when it matters most. Torres grounds out. Yankees lose 4-3.

will-i-am said...

Final. Yankees lose 4-3. Peralta take the loss, but Weissert gives up the 2 run home run that lost the game. Torres utter failure in 9th inning. Bases loaded and one out and he can't put the ball in play striking out. The Twins walked Judge to load the bases to face Torres. Sad.

YankeeMike said...

Big, big weekend three game series in the Bronx with the Tampa Bay Rays. The Rays healthy and hot. The Yankees with LeMahieu, Rizzo, Benintendi, unable to play at all. That is three full time starters out of action. Stanton who did pinch hit tonight likely not available. If Donaldson comes back from paternity leave, he would play. Just have to play thru the obstacles and hope a youngster or two step up and shine.

Cal Fuerst said...

Montas to start tomorrows game one, Taillon in game two, and no one named for game three with Rays.

Yankeefan2 said...

Mark my words, if the Yankees win tonight's game with Montas pitching they will win the AL East division.

Guy Padikian said...

Todays Yankee Lineup

Frankie Montas (R) P

1. Aaron Judge (R) CF
2. Gleyber Torres (R) 2B
3. Aaron Hicks (S) LF
4. Isiah Kiner-Falefa (R) 3B
5. Miguel Andujar (R) DH
6. Oswaldo Cabrera (S) RF
7. Oswald Peraza (R) SS
8. Kyle Higashioka (R) C
9. Marwin Gonzalez (S) 1B

In my opinion, Torres should be flip flopped Peraza and then flip flopped with Higashioka.

Yankeefan2 said...

Argy M, Yep, plus six with Houston. Quite possibly they won't play .500 ball over those 15 games. And if they do and the Yankees don't, they deserve the title. Wins are what determines the best, nothing else matters.

okiened said...

Montas gets a chance to prove himself tonight, and could become a hero with a dominant controlling winning effort. Let's go Yankees. Yes you can.

WIN METHOD said...

WIN METHOD fans, a little something for all of you to think about. Do not know what it may be about, but Hal Steinbrenner and Derek Jeter have met privately. Hope it is what I think it is.

RLA said...

Well the shutout went away quickly.

Yanks23245 said...

Yankees trail 1-0 after three. Montas grinding hard and has had runners in scoring position every inning.

Linda Pardo said...

Oh my God. Hicks drops third out fly ball, extends innings and three runs are score, two on the dropped fly ball and the other on a hit right after. Yankee in big hole 4-0. But I am sure Boone will say what a great guy Hicks, tries hard, and feels bad.

Benny Pake said...

Boone pulls Hicks from the game and puts Florial in for him. I wonder what Boone will have to say when asked about it.

Sam Anderson said...

Yankees score a run in 7th on Judge rbi single, trail 4-1 thru 7.

will-i-am said...

Final. Yankees lose 4-2. Hicks gives away 3 runs with pathetic fielding for the loss. Montas wasn't sharp but he deserved better than what Hicks gave him. Yankees went down trying, scoring a run on Higashioka's home run in ninth. Judge walked bringing the tying run to bat in Torres who flied out to the right center field wall. Yankee division lead is dwindling.

Ned Green said...

Donaldson should be back for tomorrow and Stanton needs be in lineup at DH.

Jill Byrnes said...

Taillon's turn to be the hero. It would help if the offense produces a bunch of runs.

Victor Grandozi said...

Still two chance to win one game or two.

Guy Padikian said...

Todays Yankee Lineup

1. Aaron Judge (R) CF
2. Giancarlo Stanton (R) DH
3. Gleyber Torres (R) 2B
4. Josh Donaldson (R) 3B
5. Oswaldo Cabrera (S) RF
6. Miguel Andujar (R) LF
7. Isiah Kiner-Falefa (R) SS
8. Kyle Higashioka (R) C
9. Marwin Gonzalez (S) 1B

It may only be me, but I dislike very much see Torres in the middle of any lineup. Need a win.

candycane said...

Yanks up 7-1 after 5.

Lou Lis said...

Stanton and Donaldson both hit home runs today. Yankees lead 10-3 after 8 innings.

will-i-am said...

Final. Yankees win 10-3. Seven consecutive singles to start the game set the tone and the Yankees never looked back scoring 6 first inning runs. Donaldson and Stanton each hit solo home runs for a couple of extra runs. Most important was the performance form starter Taillon who dominated the Rays for 7 1/3 innings. He was charged with 3 earned runs but in reality it was only 1. Official scorer gave a hit to a Rays batter on a ball Forial dropped in centerfield that gave the Rays 2 runs. This was a much needed win by the Yankees. More important, it was nice to see Rizzo on the bench with the team and he should be ready to play again in a few days.

Patrick Healy said...

Any win is good, but it was sure nice not to go through another edge of your seat nail biter. Good to get Donaldson back, Stanton starting again, and Rizzo soon. Louie Louie and Chapman along with Effross and Britton should all help going forward.

Deb F said...

A big win for sure, best was the way it happened. Seven straight hits off Kluber was nice, particularly since he went seven innings of shutout ball and allowing only two hits against us just last week.

Mario/Staten Island said...

German starts tomorrow's rubber game.

Paul Hirschman said...

I guess we can forget Florial in the Yankees future. He is a poor hitter with horrid pitch recognition. His forte was speed and defense. He still has speed but his defense is nowhere near what should be expected at the MLB level. The future Yankee centerfielder will be playing later this coming week and we all will get a chance to see what he looks like. That would mean for next season the Yankee outfield from left to right Benintendi, Bader, Judge.

Jimmy Thames said...

With German starting on short rest, the Yankees may be thinking bullpen game.

Set one------ 01 - 10--- 5-5-- 05-05..Not good. Playing .500 ball means no playoffs.
Set two------ 11 - 20--- 9-1-- 14-06..As good as it gets, almost perfect.
Set three---- 21 - 30--- 8-2-- 22-08..Another great ten game set. So far so good.
Set four----- 31 - 40--- 7-3-- 29-11..Not as good as the last two sets, but still good.
Set five----- 41 - 50--- 6-4-- 35-15..Very good set considering team injuries.
Set six------ 51 - 60--- 9-1-- 44-16..Another dominant set. Very strong.
Set seven---- 61 - 70--- 8-2-- 52-18..Yes, another great ten game set. The beat goes on.
Set eight---- 71 - 80--- 6-4-- 58-22..A good series. Half way home and 14 game lead.
Set nine----- 81 - 90--- 4-6-- 62-28..Due to happen, a losing set. Still 12 game lead.
Set ten------ 91 -100--- 5-5-- 67-33..Just holding our own maintaining a double digit lead.
Set eleven---100 -110--- 4-6-- 71-39..Another losing set. Still hold a double digit lead.
Set twelve---111 -120--- 2-8-- 73-47..This set was a disaster & cut Yankee lead to 8 games.
Set thirteen-121 -130--- 6-4-- 79-51..Better, still lead by 7 games. Time for a 7-3 or 8-2.
Set fourteen-131 -140--- 5-5-- 84-56..Trudging along despite injuries. Still 4 1/2 in front.

Last gasp to the finish line for all the contenders. Get as many bodies back as possible and then start the second season. Yes we can.

The true, the real, the authentic MLB home run record was and still is Babe Ruth's 60 home runs in a 154 game season.

Maris hie 61 in a 162 game season.

All records and totals by Barry Bonds, Mark McGwire, and Sammy Sosa were accomplished using drugs and are therefore invalid in comparison to all the players who played 'clean'.

Aaron Judge now has 57 home runs in 142 games and has 12 games left to break Babe Ruth's record and has 20 games left to break Roger Maris's record as the greatest home run hitter in the history of baseball.

Saul Irving said...

bigbadwolf, it is possible Judge breaks both Ruth and Maris records. That would be something.

Diane Stahl said...

Personal records are just that. A players personal record who doesn't help their team to success is relatively meaningless. To put this in perspective regarding the last two topics here. First, I want the Yankees to win, I do not care how it is accomplished. As far as Cortes I hope he does well and the same for Judge and the same for any player who plays tonight. Any combination of which could help the team win. If the team does not win, it makes little difference how any individual did. Personally, I hope Judge breaks both records, Maris's and Ruth's. The other records of the cheaters exist, however are meaningless and should be designated as so, and everyone should know why.

Yanks take 3-1 lead thru five innings on a big two out RBI single by Torres who also scores on throwing error by sux.

muchomachoman said...

Cortes goes five innings. It's the over, he easily outpitched Cole. Cortes gave up 1 run and 3 hits, no home runs. Leaves with a 4-1 lead.

Greg Hale said...

They Yankees win 5-3 and sweep the two game series in Boston. Off day tomorrow.

will-i-am said...

Final. Yankees win 5-3. Cortes goes five innings allowing 1 run for the win. Schmidt goes two perfect innings for a hold. Loaisiga goes one sloppy inning allowing 1 run and gets a hold. Holmes goes the ninth and gives up 1 run and earns the save. Biggest hit of game was two out RBI single by Torres which turned into 3 runs because of sux errors.

Owenstheone said...

Yankees have an off day tomorrow. Travel to Milwaukee for a three game weekend series. Listed starters are Montas, Taillon, and Cole. May see Rizzo and Chapman at some point in that series.

Randy Holt said...

Hicks comes back to Earth after getting a start again. Sad, pathetic at the plate and another bad play in the outfield which allowed the only run Cortes game up to score because he made a bad throw from left field missing the cutoff man and missing the catcher by 20 feet.

Durham Bombshell: Steele Dossier source Igor Danchenko Was a paid FBI informant. The FBI is a disgrace.

Patricia Piper said...

No reason for the Yankees to not take this series with Brewers over the weekend.

Yankeefan2 said...

Nice to have another day off. Then win the three game series this weekend. first place is a nice spot to be with 20 games left in the season.

Domenic said...

Yankeefan2, it looks like the Yankees will go wire to wire from start to finish. And the only time you need to be first through the entire race is at the finish line.

Angel Cordero said...

Several more wins will seal the divison. Will be getting a look see at several players as they return to action over the next week.

Ursala Pei said...

Stay focused guys, stay focused. The race is not over until the finish line.

Alex Antonius said...

Montas starts game one of the series with the Brewers, and he has much to prove. He has got start winning and dominating. So far he has left much to be desired.

Yankeeforever said...

I guess as injured players start returning the next couple of weeks, the Yankees will be in an auditioning mode to see who makes the playoff roster.

Todays Yankee Lineup

Frankie Montas (R) P

1. Aaron Judge (R) CF
2. Giancarlo Stanton (R) DH
3. Gleyber Torres (R) 2B
4. Josh Donaldson (R) 3B
5. Oswaldo Cabrera (S) RF
6. Isiah Kiner-Falefa (R) SS
7. Marwin Gonzalez (S) 1B
8. Jose Trevino (R) C
9. Aaron Hicks (S) LF

Montas pitches well and takes command? The Yankee bats don't take the game off?

Angel Cordero said...

Yankees score three in top of first. RBIs from Donaldson, IKF, and Gonzalez.

Sal Mineo said...

Months is hot garbage. Given a 5-0 lead, he gives up 3 runs in second. Yanks lead 5-3.

Carl Hooks said...

Montas pulled after 3 1/3, ineffective and struggling every inning. Leaves with a no decision.

candycane said...

5-5 after 4.

5-5 thru seven innings. Yankees scored 3 in first and 2 in second, Montas blew the 5 run lead and the Yankees haven't done a thing since the second inning.

candycane said...

5-5 after 7.

FloridaYankee said...

Loaisiga gives up run in 8th putting Yanks down 6-5. Donaldson hits HR in 9th for 6-6 tie. Holmes blows it in the ninth. Yankees lose 7-6.

will-i-am said...

Final. Yankees lose 7-6. Montas was garbage blowing a 5-0 lead. Yankee bats did nothing after taking a 5-0 in in second inning. Loaisiga failed in the 8th inning and Holmes failed in the 9th inning taking the loss. Not a good game for the team.

Linda Rice said...

Hope Yankees do better tonight.

Steve(winstheonlystat) said...

Taillon to try to even series. If Loaisiga and Holmes inning each last night is indicative of their playoffs performance, the Yankee outlook has to look bleak. Both were had little control and both were hit hard, thus a lost game.

Dennis Trovato said...

Sloppy play last night. Didn't drop the hammer, went to sleep after scoring five early runs, and the bullpen did not produce when it mattered most. Add it all up and you get a self inflicted loss.

Vlad Kotenko said...

I liked Montas to this point because I always liked his stuff. I am not sure what is wrong but I will wait another month to see if he hits his stride.

BIGTIMEYANKEE said...

Vlad Kotenko, Montas has been very bad since pitching for the Yankees. On the verge of garbage. He will get a couple or more starts before the post season. Unless he does a complete 180, there is no way in hell he should be on the post season roster. There are no more next time arounds in the post season. It's win or go home.

Guy Padikian said...

Todays Yankee Lineup

Jameson Taillon (R) P

1. Aaron Judge (R) CF
2. Giancarlo Stanton (R) DH
3. Gleyber Torres (R) 2B
4. Josh Donaldson (R) 3B
5. Miguel Andujar (R) LF
6. Oswaldo Cabrera (S) RF
7. Oswald Peraza (R) SS
8. Kyle Higashioka (R) C
9. Marwin Gonzalez (S) 1B

Peraza finally back in and finally Hicks on the bench, better yet kick him off the team.

Yankee bats anemic, down 4-1 after seven.

will-i-am said...

Final. Yankees lose 4-1 and were never in the game. Taillon one pitch for a three run home run was the game. Yankees not one time produced when it mattered most in the entire game. Stanton looked like a little leaguer at bat striking our four times and looking over matched every time. Need to win tomorrow and wake up.

Earl Lennon said...

Bad looking loss tonight. Cole tomorrow to try to prevent the Yankees from getting swept by the Brew Crew.

Deb F said...

If either Cole throws another clunker or bats don't produce tomorrow Yanks could get swept.

RLA said...

Rizzo and Bader in the lineup for tomorrow?

Pepe Gonzales said...

Stanton is making Joey Gallo look good.

Domingo Orengo said...

Stanton needs to sit. No team should have any player in a lineup who does not make contact and put a ball in play nor walk nor bunt nor play the field.

Guy Padikian said...

Todays Yankee Lineup

Gerrit Cole (R) P

1. Aaron Judge (R) CF
2. Anthony Rizzo (L) 1B
3. Gleyber Torres (R) 2B
4. Josh Donaldson (R) 3B
5. Giancarlo Stanton (R) DH
6. Oswaldo Cabrera (S) RF
7. Isiah Kiner-Falefa (R) SS
8. Kyle Higashioka (R) C
9. Aaron Hicks (S) LF

Rizzo back, still no Bader, yet Hicks plays again. Need a win today.

Deb F said...

Typical Cole garbage inning. He is no ace, and he is not worth his contract,. Two hard hit fly outs, two walks, a three run home run, and a strike out. All on 29 pitches, half of which were balls.

candycane said...

Yanks down 4-3 after 3.

Hobbs said...

Yankees small ball 4 runs in 5th to take 7-4 lead. How will Cole respond with a 3 run lead?

Hobbs said...

Cole makes it through the 5th allowing a double and walk but no runs. Schmidt comes in for the 6th and works and easy 1,2,3 inning. 7-4 Yankees after six. Need to hold on.

Tony Gigante said...

Yanks got what they needed today, a win. 12-8 slugfest. Judge two home runs, Rizzo, Hicks, and Cabrera.

Sean Smith said...

Yankees head home and will have six games next week. Off day tomorrow, then two games with Pirates Tuesday and Wednesday. Followed by four games with the Boston on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

HerecomestheJudge said...

Here come the judge.

Xavier Young said...

Cortes on Tuesday and Louie Louie on Wednesday against the Pirates.

FloridaYankee said...

Judge will need to hit 15 HRs in 16 games to break the fake and corrupt MLB record for HRs in a season which shows just how ridiculous the cheaters Bonds, McGuire, and Sosa's HRs are. That pretty much makes '73' an unbreakable mark, a reward for cheating and forever removing the thrill of a real HR chase. I'm sure most everyone here considers 60 and 61 the real records. 60 for a 154 game season and 61 for a 162 game season. Just maybe MLB will someday will have the courage, integrity, and common sense to fix this travesty.

Wes Quntrail said...

Florida Yankee, I agree. Records are set and broken only when the same criteria, rules, and regulations are met.

Jill Byrnes said...

If Judge breaks Ruth's record in 152 games and Maris's record in 162 games he will become the greatest single season home run hitter in MLB history.

Tom Kelly said...

The problem is, if baseball does not accept the cheaters drug infused home run totals, baseball would in effect admit they condoned the cheating. It would take a new commissioner who wants to make the record right. That would, on my opinion, also ban the cheaters from the Hall of Fame.

Tim Hergenraeder said...

My lineup for tomorrow's game with Pirates.
1. Judge RF
2. Rizzo 1B
3. Torres 2B
4. Cabrera LF
5. Donaldson 3B
6. Bader CF
7. Kiner-Falefa SS
8. Trevino C
9. Peraza DH

Tim, Boone doesn't have the wherewithal to come up with your lineup

I am really rooting for Judge, he is so Jerteresque.

Yankeefan2 said...

Tim Hergenraeder, I really like your lineup. Stanton needs to figure things our before he plays again. He looks awful, stance, swing, pitch recognition, nothing is right.

Lets take this series with Pirates. Judge has six games to become home run champion in front of home town fans.

yankeeclipper said...

Yankees bullpen give away game tonight. Not ONE reliever did anything you would want from them. Marinaccio, Trivino, Loaisiga, and Holmes all gave up runs. Five in three innings.

Xavier Young said...

Theeeeeeeeeeee Yankeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees Winnnnnnnnnnnn. And what a win. Down four runs coming to bat in the bottom of ninth. Judge lead off with his 60th HR of the season. Rizzo doubles, Torres walk, Donaldson single, Stanton walk off grand slam.

muchomachoman said...

Oh my. That was AMAZING. Best inning of the year by miles. We may not win the WS, but the last 20 minutes have just made 2022.

Doug Parker said...

So let's recap all that happened in the Yankee ninth inning: Yankees down by four runs. Judge leads off inning and hits home run that ties Babe Ruth. Judge takes the lead for the triple crown. Rizzo, Torres, and Donaldson all reach base safely. Stanton hits a walk off grand slam down by three for the 9-8 win.
