Hello WIN METHOD fans. This season, as so many youngsters bloom and grow, has had far too many downs. To be contending for the division title with all the injuries our players and team have sustained is remarkable and displays the character of our players and team. We will overcome no matter what is thrown at us.
The 2017 disabled list (DL) has included Gary Sanchez, Greg Bird, Tyler Austin, Starlin Castro, Didi Gregorius, Aaron Hicks, Jacoby Ellsbury, Matt Holiday, CC Sabathia, Adam Warren, Aroldis Chapman, James Kaprielian, Gleyber Torres, Clarke Schmidt, and Dustin Fowler. Several of these players have had their season ended. For a few of these men recovery will take many months and they can only look forward to 2018. The others can still contribute this season. I just want to give a special shout out to Dustin Fowler whose injury may be the most devastating. I have had a special liking for Dustin for a long time now and I will pray for his healing, full recovery, and return to the YANKEES in 2018.
It is truly hard to believe, that with all the injuries, this team is still right in the thick of the pennant race. The character of these WIN METHOD players is their crutch, the attitude they display when challenged with adversity is magnificent.
They play with one goal, for the TEAM to WIN. Everyone contributes, and they win or lose as a team. The goal is always the playoffs and beyond, in the past, now, and in the future. These WIN METHOD men will fight to the end.
With every setback, the door of opportunity opens for another player. Hopefully another youngster will race through the door and seize the chance before they expected.
As WIN METHOD fans, unquestionably the smartest and most knowledgeable baseball fans in the world, we support or team, ownership, management, players, and coaches. We don't whine and cry, and we don't criticize and blame.
We leave that to, yes you guessed it, the stat fraud losers of the world.
There is most of the season left to play and we will persevere, playing the best we can. We will continue to bloom and grow. The draft was wonderful and the WIN METHOD got what it wanted in several draftees. Our number one selection will be something to look forward to. LETS GO YANKEES.

«Oldest ‹Older 1001 – 1200 of 2379 Newer› Newest»Rotation as of now for sux series. Monty, CC, Gray.
Looking forward to the sux series. Yes we can.
Rain may be an issue in Boston.
Hope Monty can give us five or six dominant innings tonight.
I would like to see Bird hit a couple of HRs in Scranton before he comes back with the Yankees. Maybe would give him some positive reinforcement on top of not having any more pain to deal with.
Yes another one. The reason Tyler Austin was recalled was because Garret Cooper went on the DL.

If Monty is good tonight and we hit when it counts we will win. Lets go Yankees.
I am sure they will try to get the game in tonight, but there is rain in the area, things can change fast as the storms move.
Scoreless after one with light rain falling and an ominous forecast.
White Knight, you got what you were looking for. Bird with a first inning HR at Scranton tonight.
Yanks trail 2-0 after 2 1/2 and have left men in scoring position in all three innings.
Yankees down 2-0 after 4 and have now left runners in scoring position in all four innings.
At Scranton Bird hits his 2nd HR of night, a massive 2 run shot. Soon fans, soon.
Yanks trail 3-0 thru five.
Yanks down 3-2 after six. Frazier with 2 run HR for the runs and the Yanks fail again to hit when it matters leaving the bases loaded.
Sanchez opens 7th with game tying HR. Didi walks, Headley singles, Frazier walks, Torreyes with first hit of game for Yankees with men in scoring position, a 2 RBI single for 5-3 lead.
Romine K's failing to get man in from third with less than two out. sux changing pitcher.
Gardner walks to load bases. One out, Hicks HBP, RBI 6-3. Another pitcher change. Judge up again with bases loaded. Judge K's and fails to bring in man from third with less than two outs. Sanchez who start inning up for second time, bases loaded two out. Sanchez lines out to first. 6-3 Yanks after seven.
7-3 Yanks after 7.
Green and Kahnle give back all four runs Yankees scored in 7th and Yanks trail 7-6 after seven. Hard to believe, but now you see what a team game baseball is.
Chapman comes in to pitch the 8th and gives up two more runs. Yanks down 9-6 after 8.
You can look back in this game as in so many in the past, the failure to produce with runners in scoring position and the dismal failure to score men from third base with less than two outs over and over costs us this game and many others. Youth can be blamed for some, but it was not only the youngsters all the time. We are constantly shooting ourselves in the foot. And through it all we will go to the post season.
Fianl, a 9-6 loss of a game we SHOULD have won.
It is always those who produce when it counts the most often are the ones who win.
So we just go out and beat Sale tomorrow.
Down up down out. Tonights game.
Today is another day and another game. Look forward guys.
Failure to produce when it matters costs games and that is the sole reason we are not in first place and the sux are. That is fact folks.
Sabathia to start tonights game against Sale.
I keep seeing people (not here) but at different forums blaming player after player, coaches, the manager, etc for losing a game. Here we know why we lose. Blowout losses are games you never had a chance at winning. The close games when assorted players fail WHEN IT MATTERS make for losses. The knowledgeable baseball fan does not understand this. They are taught only numbers and that is what they live ave by. In their minds the only good players have high individual stats, the poor players have low individual stats. Very simple view for simple minds. All players create wins and losses by their performance throughout the entire game. The team that usually creates the most positive results wins. The team that fails the most usually losses. The fans who hate the manager always blame the manager anytime he makes a decision and the player fails.
Steve.....All you stated ties in with it is not how much or how many a batter achieves but when he achieves explaining very succinctly how a player with lower individual stats can be better than a player with higher individual stats. And for pitchers it is how many, for wins and saves.
Can we rebound from last night? Would be nice.
Hey people Deter and Hannah Jeter has a baby girl the other day. Congratulations to the Jeters.
Steve, Augie, --- You made a good tutorial for new fans to learn the game correctly.

Austin at DH while Headley plays 1B.
Austin should have fun trying to hit Sale. Austin may fool people because he likes to hit to the opposite field and that is a good way to go with Sale.
We will need to have CC pitch his best game to keep us alive.
Lets go Yankees.
Yanks up 3-0 after 2 on Austin 3 run HR.
In Scranton tonight Bird with a single and double in three at bats. Expect to see him on the roster for the Tiger series Tuesday.
Yankees lead down to 3-2 after five as sux produce when it counts to get their two runs. Walk, a couple of singles, and a ground out getting the runner in from third with less than two outs.
Frazier HR makes it 4-2 Yankees after 6.
Yanks up 4-2 thru 6.
Yanks go to the bullpen in bottom of seventh and go to Warren leading 4-2.
Warren allow HR cutting lead to 4-3. Gets two outs and Robertson called in.
Yanks up 4-3 after 7.
Yanks clinging to 4-3 lead after 8 as Robertson needs to get 4 outs in 8th and leaves the bases loaded. Pitching when it counts. Nothing is easy for us.
Yanks fail to score in 9th with man on 3rd and less than 2 out again. Lead 4-3 going to bottom of 9th and Betances in to try to save this game.
Betances K's Devers on three pitches. One out. Leon Ks but reaches first as Sanchez can't block pitch. Man on first and one out. Sanchez nails runner from first trying to steal. Two outs. Pop up. Three outs. The Yankeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssssssssss Winnnnnnnnnn!!
Final the Yankees win a very big game and beat Sale 4-3.
As young as we are and with all the injuries we have had, we can play with anyone.
A rubber game tomorrow.
Think positive, play positive.
When asked about Bird, Girardi wouldn't commit to Bird coming up for Detroit series. Thinks he may need more time after being out for so long.
We have the opportunity to take this series today. And we can do it with our 3,4, & 5 starters. The positive of this series is with a win we gain a game on the sux, and with a loss we only lose one game in the standings. There will only be three more games with the sux this regular season.
No matter the outcome this season, as a Yankee fan and particularly as a WIN METHOD Yankees fan you have to be proud of this team this season and especially proud of manager Joe Girardi and his self control, protecting his players, and management of all the injuries, roadblocks, and pitfalls that he and his team have had to overcome.

Same bodies in slightly different order. Looking for same results as yesterday.
CC and Austin kept us alive last night. CC snapping off some great pitches and solid control. Austin with the biggest hit of the game.
Gray in three starts is 1-2 and has been unable to completely shut down the opposition. He has kept the Yankees in games, but the Yankees have many starters on the team and in the minors who have and can do the same. Lets see what we get today.
yankeeclipper, if Gray can keep us in the game like CC did, we only need a few runs, but it would be nice to win big for a change.
Gray puts Yankees in 2-0 hole after 2.
Yanks down 2-0 after 3 and Gray has thrown 70 pitches. Doesn't appear to have a put away pitch. Lots of long counts and foul balls. Not good.
Gardner HR cuts sux lead to 5-1 after 5. Gray goes gritty 5 innings with over 100 pitches and is done for the day leaving down 2-1.
Yanks down 3-1 after 6.
Going to the eighth down 3-1.
Final 5-1 loss.
Our starter struggled. Our bats were non existent. Our bullpen had little to nothing.
Here is something interesting I tracked today.
The Yankees offense created four opportunities to produce when it mattered. The Yankees failed every time.
The sux offense created thirteen opportunities to produce when it mattered. The sux failed nine times, but succeeded four times.
No boxscore, no individual stats, but what I tracked today tells everything you need to know about the outcome of todays game.
Off day tomorrow, then three in Detroit, and then a long home stand. The race is won down the stretch and we are on the final turn headed to the stretch.
Cory, that is good stuff. I bet no one keeps track of things like that, or if someone does they probably officiate it by not using common sense as to when things occur.
I have high hopes for the stretch run. I feel things will get better and better and our best baseball is still ahead of us. Lets go Yankees.
Tanaka, Louie Louie, and Garcia are the starters as of now for the Tiger series.
Hope the off day helped the guys. Can;t wait for Bird to land, he's tearing it up at Scranton.

9. Ronald Torreyes (R) 2B
Judge and Sanchez reversed.
Time to produce. In a very short time everyone will be back. No excuses, it is up to the guys on the field.
Need Tanaka be Tanaka for the rest of the season and not an empty shell of himself.
Yanks take early 3-0 lead thru 2.
Yankees give Tanaka 7-1 lead after 4.
Yankees with a 9-1 lead after five are on the way to a laugher.
Bird to be brought up this weekend as Yankees enter long home stand.
Tanaka goes seven, looked strong, gave up two in seventh and leaves leading 11-3.
Final a 13-4 romp in the park.
I have the produce when they count numbers again. I won't be able to do this for every game, but tonights game score told the story.
The Yankees created 14 opportunities to produce when it mattered and they produced 7 times.
The Tigers had 4 opportunities and produced 1 time.
The Yankees hit the 13 run pool tonight.
Good start in Detroit and Louie Louie starts tomorrow night. Just need to win, win, win.
Just have to win games and not give away any.
Need to win more games like we did last night. Bullpen is now very well rested. Judge broke his consecutive game K streak. Tanaka looked good. Bird and Castro back very soon. Many things to be positive about.
Every win brings us closer to the playoffs.
Win the games we are supposed to win, win more than half the games that are a tossup, and win a couple of games we are supposed to lose. Equals the playoffs.

Judge DH. Best defensive outfield on field. Five left handed bats.
Almost same lineup as yesterday. Get the same results and win another.
Yanks up 1-0 after 2.
The Yankee bats are scoring again tonight with repeated when it counts hits for five 3rd inning runs and 6-0 lead.
Yanks up 6-0 after 4.
Louie Louie with five very dominant shutout innings so far and leads 7-0.
Yankees with second laugher in a row and double digit runs scored. Lead 10-1 after 8.
Final 10-2 win. Two easy wins in a row. Need to win tomorrow.
Have a chance for a sweep tomorrow against a good pitcher.
Hope the bats get hotter and hotter.
Afternoon game tomorrow fans. Then back home for several series.
We have taken two from the Tigers with our two best starters winning and the bats producing big time. HOWEVER, todays game is a big one and the one that means very much after winning the first two. We have what may be our worst starter pitching against one of the Tigers best pitchers.

7. Todd Frazier (R) 3B
8. Ronald Torreyes (R) 2B
9. Austin Romine (R) C
Romine catching day game after night game. Sanchez DH.
Garcia puts Yankees down 1-0 after one.
In watching Garcia pitch it seems he has very little in the way of controlling dominant stuff.
He seems reluctant to throw pitches in the strike zone, because when he does those pitches seem to be hit hard somewhere. Relies on trickery and deception a great deal.
Three innings complete 1-1.
I think all we can hope for from Garcia is five innings and 2 or less runs and or maybe six innings and 3 or less runs. Anything better would be a bonus and or a miracle.
Garcia pulled in fifth with men on 2nd and 3rd and no outs. Warren in.
Warren can't hold the fort and is relieved by Kahnle with Yanks down 6-3.
Home plate umpire makes farce of game throwing Kahnle out of game for throwing a ball behind batter. Miguel (I'm washed up) Cabrera starts fight with Romine and both get thrown out of game. Only home plate umpire should be suspended for rest of season.
Yanks down 6-3 after 6.
will-i-am, You are right. Umpire caused entire situation and fired immediately after game.
Yanks trying to come back in seventh. Lets go guys.
Yanks tie it in 7th. 6-6.
Betances in for the 7th and beans lead off batter. Benches clear, but no brawl. Half witted umpire does nothing. After everything settles down umps throw Betances out of game. Acting manager Robbie Thompson also thrown out of game. Robertson coming to pitch foe Yanks.
MLB umpiring is getting worse and worse. Far too many garbage umpires in the game nowadays.
Robertson hits his first batter but stays in game, the a walk to load the bases and then a base clearing 3 run double.
Todd Frazier gets HBP in 8th, another brawl ensues. Tiger pitcher thrown out of game. Lousy umpiring created all of todays events.
Final 10-6 loss. A debacle of a game. Now we will see the fallout of who gets suspended and for how long.
As johnsondc posted a few days back, Castro and Bird will be in the lineup tomorrow.
Crazy game, but Garcia should never start another game for this team.
CC, Gray, and Tanaka listed for the Seattle series at the Stadium starting tomorrow.
Now we wait for the announcement of suspensions. Home plate umpire should be banned for life. Gross incompetence on his part. Throw in utter ignorance also.
Many decisions today will involve many Yankees. Stay tuned.
When MLB issues their rulings, I would think depending on what they are and for how long, appeals may be filed.
All suspensions likely will be completed by the sux series in two weeks from now.
Guys need to forget yesterdays garbage sparked by umpire incompetence and concentrate on this series and win it. Move forward the past is history.

9. Todd Frazier (R) 3B
Castro back and at 2B. No word on Bird. Austin at DH.
The Yanks may have held Bird back with a left starting against them tonight.
Need to get this series off on the right foot tonight with a win.
Castro back does add more power to lineup. Torreyes did hold the fort very well. Excellent spare part.
Suspensions announced.
Cabrera 7
Sanchez 4
Wilson 4
Romine 2
Ausmus 1
What about the garbage home plate umpire who was the cause of the entire mess by not taking charge when Fullmer threw at and hit Sanchez.
What a joke.
Four games fcor Sanchez hurts. With Romine and Sanchez both getting suspensions Yanks will have to do some maneuvering with appeals and adding a backup catcher.
I want to see what happens to that joke of an umpire.
Jill Byrnes, knowing MLB, probably nothing.
Some people may be questioning why Betances did not get suspended. It was a question of intent. Intent is the defining of event happening deliberately (planned) or accidentally (not planned).
Lets win tonight and let management figure out how THEY will handle the logistics of the suspensions.
A few games suspension is better than an injury that keeps a player out a few games or worse on the DL.
We need to score runs and produce when it counts. If we do we will be fine.
0-0 after 2.
Yanks down 1-0 after 4.
Not to this again. The Yankees have left the bases loaded in the 3rd and 4th innings and worse failed to score a runner from 3rd with less than 2 outs in both innings. Trail 1-0 and they could easily be in front by 4 or 5 or more with a hit when it mattered. Five more innings to right the ship.
Yanks down 1-0 after 6.
Far too many failures when it counts tonight. Trailing 1-0 thru 6. Three more innings as CC going great and starting the 7th.
Bird was 2-2 in Scranton and pinch hit for in the 3rd at bat. Wonder if he will be in NY tomorrow.
Seven complete, down 1-0, and 0-9 when it mattered.
We've been doing this all season and it is amazing we are in the playoff hunt.
Chad Green in for the 8th and CC deserves much better than what he has gotten tonight.
I hate scoreboard watching but sux are getting hammered by the O's tonight and it would really bother me to lose this game 1-0.
Based on Tyler Austins performance tonight I would think that would make it an easy decision to bring Bird up now.
Didi double scores Judge for 1-1 tie in 8th.
After tying score Yanks leave the bases loaded for the third time tonight. That's a whole lot of failing when it matters.
1-1 after 8.
Betances in for the 9th. Loads the bases, tow outs and Robinson Cano up to pinch hit. Here's your game? Betances K's Cano on three pitches. Time for a walk off win.
1-1 bottom of 9th. YES WE CAN!!!!!!
Yanks fail in 9th. Extra innings and Robertson comes in for the 10th.
Robertson with a scoreless 10th, but Yankees fail to score. On to the 11th and Chapman coming in.
Chapman does it again. Gives up HR putting Yanks down 2-1 coming to bat in 11th.
If the Yanks lose this one I will have a very hard time sleeping tonight.
Yanks don't score leaving the tying run on second and lose 2-1 failing to score again when it matters. Disgusting.
The lineup is really to blame for tonights loss. 0 for 12 when it mattered. Yanks scoring only run on an error.
Final 2-1 11 inning loss. Another horrendous epic failure.
Bird needs to be in lineup tomorrow.
The positive. CC's great seven innings.
The negative. Leaving the bases loaded in three innings.
Bird has been activated for todays game and Austin sent back to AAA.
I couldn't sleep last night and if I got a couple of hours I was lucky. Got up and watched the hurricane reports several times.
Lineups not posted yet, should be any minute.
Maybe trying to figure out a suspension plan.
Prediction: If Bird starts today he has an impact on the outcome and maybe a home run.

7. Chase Headley (S) 3B
8. Jacoby Ellsbury (L) CF
9. Austin Romine (R) C
Bird in at 1B. Judge in 2 hole. Headley at 3B with Frazier out.
I see Hicks is out also. I like the length of the lineup. But it is all for naught if the players do not produce when it counts. Last night still turns my stomach.
Game time.
We are already 0-3 in first inning when it counts.
Ellsbury delivers first Yankee hit in two days when it matters for a 1-0 lead after two.
Ellsbury the only Yankee to produce does it again with 3 run HR for 4-1 lead. Ellsbury has all Yankee RBIs today.
Yankees lead 4-1 after five.
Gray goes seven innings allowing just one run and leaves leading 4-1.
That's two games in a row our starter went seven innings giving up one run. Only CC didn't get any help when it mattered last night from anyone.
Judge looking terrible at plate. 0-4 today and hitting nothing hard. Paul O'Neill says Judge swing is different from before ALL Star game and after. O'Neill thinks All Star game screwed up his swing. They showed clips from before and after and anyone can see how different the swings are.
Judge, Sanchez, fail when it counts in 7th with two men on. Didi walks to load bases. Castro singles in two runs when it counts to likely ice game and make it easy for bullpen.
Yankees up 6-1 after 7.
Yanks up 6-3 after 8.
Final 6-3 win. We needed that.
Todays win is great, but there is still the sour taste from last night in my craw.
Yanks win it 6-3 with Betances going 1,2,3 9th.
We can take this series tomorrow with Tanaka starting.
Bird looked good today. Single and two walks. Swinging well.
It is all about wins. NOTHING else matters. You go to the playoffs with WINS, no other stat counts for anything.
yankeelover, try telling that to the stat frauds. WINS are a curse to the. Particularly for pitchers.
Take a step forward today.
Lets go Yankees.

9. Ronald Torreyes (R) 2B
Girardi gets seven righty bats in lineup. Hicks leadoff is nice. Castro, Sanchez, Judge, 2,3,4. Castro DH and Torreyes 2B. Very smart. Especially if it earns a win.
Bird and Gardner off the bench are enormous assets.
I am going to post a quote here from one of the hapless stat fraud baseball forums by one of the many ignorant frauds there.
"""I see Joe is trying to not take the series today with the bad lineup he put out."""
When you read opinions like that, WIN METHOD fans, you know why this Yankee/baseball talk forum blog is the number one in the world.
Frank Harris, so is Romine at back up catcher.
Steve, stat frauds only think they know baseball, and worse they think they know baseball more than fans who do know baseball, and more worse they think they know baseball than the professionals who make their living knowing baseball.
Lets get back to scoring runs more frequently this coming week.
Rubber game, lets go Yankees, first pitch strike one.
Tanaka with a shaky first inning but only allows one run pitching his way into and out of trouble.
The bad news of Yankee first inning Aaron Hicks makes first and last out of inning. The good news, in between the Yankees score six runs with Ellsbury 2 RBI single the biggest hit of the inning, and very sloppy sloppy play by the Mariners. 6-1 Yankees after one inning.
Yankees up 6-1 after one on a wild and crazy inning aided by many Mariner errors.
I hate to be negative but something needs to be done regarding Judge. Castro and Sanchez single to lead off 2nd and Judge produces absolutely nothing when it counts striking out looking on three pitches.
