Hello WIN METHOD fans. This season, as so many youngsters bloom and grow, has had far too many downs. To be contending for the division title with all the injuries our players and team have sustained is remarkable and displays the character of our players and team. We will overcome no matter what is thrown at us.
The 2017 disabled list (DL) has included Gary Sanchez, Greg Bird, Tyler Austin, Starlin Castro, Didi Gregorius, Aaron Hicks, Jacoby Ellsbury, Matt Holiday, CC Sabathia, Adam Warren, Aroldis Chapman, James Kaprielian, Gleyber Torres, Clarke Schmidt, and Dustin Fowler. Several of these players have had their season ended. For a few of these men recovery will take many months and they can only look forward to 2018. The others can still contribute this season. I just want to give a special shout out to Dustin Fowler whose injury may be the most devastating. I have had a special liking for Dustin for a long time now and I will pray for his healing, full recovery, and return to the YANKEES in 2018.
It is truly hard to believe, that with all the injuries, this team is still right in the thick of the pennant race. The character of these WIN METHOD players is their crutch, the attitude they display when challenged with adversity is magnificent.
They play with one goal, for the TEAM to WIN. Everyone contributes, and they win or lose as a team. The goal is always the playoffs and beyond, in the past, now, and in the future. These WIN METHOD men will fight to the end.
With every setback, the door of opportunity opens for another player. Hopefully another youngster will race through the door and seize the chance before they expected.
As WIN METHOD fans, unquestionably the smartest and most knowledgeable baseball fans in the world, we support or team, ownership, management, players, and coaches. We don't whine and cry, and we don't criticize and blame.
We leave that to, yes you guessed it, the stat fraud losers of the world.
There is most of the season left to play and we will persevere, playing the best we can. We will continue to bloom and grow. The draft was wonderful and the WIN METHOD got what it wanted in several draftees. Our number one selection will be something to look forward to. LETS GO YANKEES.

Observation, MLB umpires are not very bright nor are they very good at logic, common sense, and the rules.
will-i-am... If you are talking about the play a few minutes ago, you are totally correct. The runner interfered with play and broke several rules which any sane umpire would have easily called. He deliberately ran out of the baseball trying to interfere with a throw to a fielder and then he slid into second base illegally by not sliding to the base but at the fielder. Then the umpires throw Girardi out of the game for pointing out how stupid they are.
Yanks up 7-1 after 4.
Yanks up 8-1 after 6.
Tanaka still in starting the 7th up 8-1. After tough 1st inning has looked pretty good.
To you stat frauds who hate Joe Girardi and his lineups. Castro at DH today goes 4-4 and gets pinch hit for in the 7th with the bases loaded and 1 out. Bird singles when it counts and knocks in 2 runs for a 10-1 lead. Now, we as WIN METHOD fans know better. It was not technically when it counts because being up 8-1 in the 7th the runs are just icing on the cake. The stat frauds don't know that because they con't know baseball.
Looks like Girardi is a genius today. He even got himself kicked out of the game to go have early dinner with his family. Now that is great managing.
Steve, that is really funny. But in a sad way because it is true.
Yankees get the laugher and lead 10-1 after 8.
Yanks up 10-1 after 8.
Caleb Smith pitches the 8th and 9th innings today and that gives the rest of the bullpen the day off and well rested going into the new week. Smith, by the way goes 6 up 6 down.
Final 10-1 win handed to Yanks in first inning. And a series win.
We needed a game like this today. Now the Indians for 3 and the sux for 4. Big week has be enter the home stretch run.
Steve, you seem bitter regarding stat frauds. You are just one of who knows how many here banned by the fake baseball forums who can't stand nor accept the truth. Good post guy.
Hobbs, no question about being bitter. You go to their forums, present your opinion and they ban you for expressing your opinion because they can't defend their garbage stats in a debate and they can't defeat wins in a debate. They are asked to post here where they will not get banned, but don't because of the same reasons as above. They have nothing but lies and convoluted made up formulas that mean nothing.
Three with Cleveland in the Bronx starting tomorrow. Louie Louie, Garcia, and CC projected Yankee starters.
Been there done that Steve.
Silence is golden Yankee fans.
Sharon/NC --- Agree, let the men on the field do the talking.
This is the most honest most fairest forum/blog I have ever posted at bar none.
Keep playing one game at a time. Louie Louie hopefully can get us a win tomorrow with some help from his friends.
No word yet on when Romine and Sanchez suspensions will happen.
I won't bore you with the obvious. Everyone here knows what needs to b e done and how it can be accomplished. ----- LETS GO YANKEES -----
In any case, the pennant race will be solid building block for the youngsters.
How about going lefty tonight against Kluber and maybe a couple of guys hit the seats.

Great call Domenic. They sit Judge and use Frazier 3b (for defense) and he is hitting just as well as Judge.
Domenic, great thinking on your part. Almost identical with the professionals. You make my point of smart knowledgeable fans posting here, while I am sure on the fake stat fraud forums they will whine about the lineup and demean the manager.
Just have to produce when it matters, get solid pitching, and win as many games as we can.
Louie Louie hopefully gives us a gem tonight.
To my team. I am proud of you and what you have accomplished this season no matter the outcome. Play the best you can. Lets go Yankees.
Teena/Bronx, That is sweet.
Lets go Louie Louie, lets go Yankees.
Stay in control, don't over throw Louie Louie.
1-1 thru 4. HR for each team.
Frazier with a big when it matters RBI single for a 2-1 lead after 5.
2-2 after 6.
Yanks go down 3-2 in 7th as Louie Louie gives up 3rd solo HR.
Yanks down 5-2 after 8. Louie Louie out pitched tonight.
Bullpen gives up a couple of runs late putting Yanks down 6-2 mid 9th.
Final 6-2 loss. Recoup tomorrow.
Today is another day. Move forward don't look back.
Garcia starts tonight. Hope the bats are alive with the sound of music.
Rain moving into the city and it looks like an all dayer.
I agree with Teena. Lokking at radar and it looks to be an extensive rain. Pouring right now. I would cancel game and not reschedule if I were Yankees. Also skip Garcia in the rotation. Win win.
And don't play two games tomorrow. Only play the canceled game 'if necessary'.

Tonights game canceled, doubleheader tomorrow.
Hopefully we get some innings out of our starters and long relievers. There is not much reason to hold back anyone. Friday we can bring up whatever is deemed necessary.
Hope the Yankees can win two today.
Garcia and Monty slated for today.
Can we win two today. That would be enormous.
Today is not a day/night double header. One admission lets you see both games. There is usually about a half hour break or so between game one ending and the start of game two.

Same lineup as last nights canceled game which is now this game.
The bats need to come to the rescue. There are nine bats and only one pitcher. We need runs and and good pitching to create wins.
Garcia instantly puts the Yankees down by 2 in first inning.
Yankees down 2-1 after 4.
Today is the ninth anniversary of the WIN METHOD blog, the best Yankee and baseball discussion forum/blog in the world with now over 226 million views.
Six complete. Garcia goes five innings and gives up two runs. Yanks down 2-1.
Down 2-1 after 7 and have failed every time when it mattered including a runner on 3rd with less than 2 outs early in the game.
I am going to try to change our luck. Here we go. Bottom of 9th, down 2-1 facing Indian closer Cody Allen. Castro leading off. Castro strikes out swinging. Ellsbury grounds out to third base. Two out Judge pinch hitting strikes out swinging, swinging at the last two pitches there were both balls. Oh well, I tried.
Final, loss 2-1, yet another one run loss. The bats are again impotent.
Yet another one run loss. 2-1.

Second game lineup and we really need a win of this game.
If the lineup doesn't produce runs it may make no difference how well Monty pitches. Just have to win this game.
On the positive side we don't have to worry about Monty pitching a good game as he gives up four first inning runs and the Yanks are playing from a hole again.
Yanks down 4-1 after 2 but continue to fail when it matters.
Yanks down 4-1 after 4. No ones hitting.
Down 6-1 after six. If we lose tonight we MUST take 3 of 4 from the sux.
Yankees embarrassing themselves, down 9-1 after 8. One run in each game is not good by any means. If they play like this against the sux the division race is over and they are jeopardizing their playoff chances.
Happy anniversary to the best blog in baseball.
Bird hits a meaningless 3 run HR in the bottom of the 9th when it doesn't matter and Yankees go down 9-4 instead of 9-1.
Final, another loss, but at least it wasn't by 1 run. 9-4.
The Yankee pitchers announced for the four game sux series starting tomorrow night at Yankee Stadium are CC, Gray, Tanaka, and Louie Louie.
The big series starts tonight, we need to win it.
Can we pull out a miracle and win all four games. One at a time.

6. Aaron Judge (R) RF
7. Chase Headley (S) DH
8. Greg Bird (L) 1B
9. Todd Frazier (R) 3B
Judge and Bird batting 6th and 8th. The bats need to produce when it counts, today, tomorrow, and the rest of the season.
Lets go guys, step up, never give in.
Guy Padikian, your comment is so correct. Lets hope they do what you said.
If Jeter was leading this team they would be in first place. Leading by example. He lived it and produced more than any other player in baseball over the last 25 years. Produced more WINS. WINS determines the best players and the best teams.
Weird first inning. It took 30 minutes to play. Five men were left on base (sux-3, Yanks-2).
Only one man on each team put a ball in play (sux-bunt to pitcher, Yanks short fly to left). Neither team scored. 0-0 after one.
0-0 after 2.
1-1 after 4.
Yankees fail again to score runner from third with less than two outs striking out on a ball that bounced before home plate.
CC goes six gritty innings allowing just one run and leaves leading 2-1 with the Yankees coming to bat in the sixth. A lot of character from CC.
First pitch to Headley in bottom of 6th, double off of the right center field wall. First pitch to Bird 2 run HR into right center field bleachers. 4-1 Yanks. Finally! we hit.
Yanks up 5-1 after 6.
Yanks take 6-1 lead after 7. However the bad is that MLB umpires are doing their best and no question they cannot get every call right. BUT, MLB has replay and what is sad the replay umpires with several conclusive views and all the time they need to get a call right, are unable to be right. Which should NEVER be the case. They missed one last night that was very obvious to the world, but them in their world of MLB incompetence. Still waiting for the home plate umpire in the Detroit brawl to be fired for gross incompetence and failure to control the game.
Yanks up 6-1 after 8.
After Robertson pitches two scoreless innings and Yankees build lead Betances in for the 9th and starts off with a walk and then HBP the next two batters. Bases loaded no outs. What the heck is going on? Some of our guys need to get their head in the game. K's next batter, one out. Walk, score now 6-2 and the tying run for the sux comes to the plate. Infield popup, two out. Fly out to left. Yankees win 6-2.
Final 6-2 win. Need more wins.
CC gave us a good start to this series. It matters and each pitcher must do his job and earn the win. Glad to see some production from the bats. If Bird is truly back that will be a big shot in the arm.
Sabathia set the bar last night. One run over six innings. Sonny Gray has his turn tonight.
Should be lefty lineup tonight again. Ellsbury, Gardner, Hicks in outfield. Bird, Castro, Didi, Torreyes or Frazier in infield. Sanchez catcher, Judge dh.
Wade a possibility? I would not think so to answer my own question. The roster is now open to 40 today.
Expanding the roster might turn out to be an advantage for the Yankees since we have the best bloom and grow kids in baseball.
I find it interesting that when we come into the last month of the baseball season and teams are competing for a playoff spot the stat frauds start talking of wins. Wins is the only thing that ever counts in baseball from game 1 thru game 162.
Friday 9/1 7:05pm
Sonny Gray (R)
vs. Red Sox - Doug Fister (R)
1. Brett Gardner (L) LF
2. Aaron Judge (R) RF
3. Gary Sanchez (R) C
4. Didi Gregorius (L) SS
5. Starlin Castro (R) 2B
6. Greg Bird (L) 1B
7. Chase Headley (S) DH
8. Jacoby Ellsbury (L) CF
9. Todd Frazier (R) 3B
Hicks out and Headley in as designated hitter. The lineup is very strong again but it up to the players to produce when it matters that will win the game.
After winning last night this becomes a very important game to win for the obvious reasons.
Yanks trail 2-1 after three.
Yankees down 3-1 after 5 as Gray can't come close to matching yesterdays Sabathia effort.
The Yankees scored a run in the first inning on Gardner lead off double followed by Judge RBI double. From then on they have down absolutely nothing and trail 4-1 after seven complete.
Final 4-1 lifeless loss.
Tanaka goes today as our wild card lead is slip sliding away.
There is the possibility of precipitation issues today.
Saturday 9/2 1:05pm
Masahiro Tanaka (R)
vs. Red Sox - Drew Pomeranz (L)
1. Brett Gardner (L) LF
2. Aaron Hicks (S) CF
3. Gary Sanchez (R) C
4. Aaron Judge (R) RF
5. Didi Gregorius (L) SS
6. Chase Headley (S) 3B
7. Matt Holliday (R) DH
8. Greg Bird (L) 1B
9. Ronald Torreyes (R) 2B
Holliday is back and Castro is out with Torreyes in at 2b.
Headley home run gives Yankees early 1-0 lead after two.
Holiday 3 run HR in 6th puts Yanks up 4-1 after 6.
Yankees lead 4-1 after 6.
Tanaka has gone 7 innings and has given up 1 run. CC went 6 innings giving up 1 run and Gray went 7 innings giving up 4 runs. Louie Louie gets his chance tomorrow.
CC and Tanaka > Gray.
Final 5-1. Still breathing. And still in front for the wild card. Only losses can hurt us.
Strong outings from CC and Tanaka for wins. Mediocre outing from Gray for the loss.
WINS are all that matters.
The win today guarantees the season series with the sux. We are 10-8 with only one more game to go.
We now have a chance to win this series after having guaranteed a split at minimum. Never give up and never give in. Yes we can.
Almost every game in baseball comes down to which team produces the most when it matters. Runaway games really don't matter.
Izy, you mean when it matters hits once the game is a rout don't matter?
Louie Louie goes tonight for the series.
It was sure nice to see Holiday come up with the game defining hit yesterday. I wonder if he would have been in the lineup if Castro did not have his tooth issue.
The espn Sunday night game is a cancer on MLB baseball, one of many stains on a poorly run organization with the best game in sports.
Sunday 9/3 7:35pm
Luis Severino (R)
vs. Red Sox - Chris Sale (L)
1. Brett Gardner (L) LF
2. Chase Headley (S) 1B
3. Gary Sanchez (R) C
4. Starlin Castro (R) 2B
5. Aaron Judge (R) RF
6. Didi Gregorius (L) SS
7. Matt Holliday (R) DH
8. Todd Frazier (R) 3B
9. Jacoby Ellsbury (L) CF
Hicks out with an injury. Need Louie Louie to shut the sux down like CC and Tanaka.
Hicks likely out for the rest of the season with oblique strain again.
Lets go Yankees.
0-0 after 2.
Headley Ballantine blast for 1-0 lead after three.
Headley solo HR in 3rd puts Yanks up 1-0.
Holiday and Frazier with back to back homers in 4th give Yanks 3-0 lead and still batting. Yanks making Sale work, up to 90 pitches.
Yanks up 3-0 after 4.
Yanks up 9-1 after 6.
Yankees load the bases and score 6 runs with 2 outs when Sanchez beats out an infield RBI single, Castro hits 3 RBI base clearing double, and Judge hits 2 run HR. Take 9-1 lead.
Severino goes six complete allowing one unearned run. Leaves leading 9-1.
Kahnle in for the seventh.
Kahnle and Shreve with six consecutive outs in 7th and 8th.
Galegos in for the 9th.
Galegos with a shaky 9th inning allowing a run but closes it out for a 9-2 win.
Final 9-2 win which allows the bullpen a good rest. Keep it going guys.
Take 3 of 4 from the sux and on to Baltimore.
The lineup may have come alive and maybe at just the right time. Hope it lasts for a while.
Monty starts today in Baltimore. Hope it does what CC, Tanaka, and Louie Louie did in their last starts.
Last nights game ended at 11:30PM. Shower, grab a bite to eat, bus to airport, fly to Baltimore, bus to hotel. In bed by maybe 5:00AM? Back to ballpark by noon? for a 2:00PM game. Yes we can.

7. Todd Frazier (R) 3B
8. Jacoby Ellsbury (L) CF
9. Austin Romine (R) C
Romine catching. Headley dh. Sanchez out for series serving three game suspension.
Game time fans. Lets go Yankees. A WIN is all that matters.
Yanks down 3-0 after 2. Monty has surrendered 2 HRs.
3-3 after 4.
Monty goes 4 2/3 innings and is relieved by Green with a man of first. Green gets 3rd out to finish inning with Yanks up 5-3 after 5.
Yankees leading 7-3 after six with seven unanswered runs after falling behind early 3-0.
Betances gives up HR with 2 out in 9th to spoil the bullpens shutout, gets final out and Yanks win 7-4.
Final, Yanks win 7-4. Monty kept it close and Green earns the win in relief with 2 1/3 perfect innings.
WINS cures all.....when you win no one can gain on you and each day brings the end of the regular season closer as the finish line nears.
Winning the first game of a series is always good. Now to not let up. CC goes tomorrow and all we need is wins.
The lineup produced against a good pitcher today without Holiday, Sanchez, and Hicks in it.
The one thing about playing in Baltimore, our pitchers may give up a few more runs, but our lineup scores a few more runs. Just need to keep earning wins as a team where everyone contributes.
The Sanchez ban was reduced from 4 to 3 days. Sanchez now will only miss the Oriole series. We have won the game he has missed, just need to win the other two.
I would like to see Bird start hitting the ball hard with more consistency and become a force the opposing pitchers have to deal with.
How about this WIN METHOD fans, all of the Yankee major minor league teams have made the playoffs this season. Scranton, Trenton, Tampa, Charleston, Pulaski. That portends well for the future as so many players are blooming and growing at all levels.
Producing when it counts win games, win enough games and make the playoffs, nothing else matters.
The Yankees with the stealth direction of WIN METHOD have built the best minor league system in baseball.
NJYANKEE, that is without doubt. Plus the team is contending this season.
Not only is the WIN METHOD a great evaluation tool, but the entire philosophy of playing for the team to win rather than for individual statistics is what sets it apart from anything else in baseball. Plus there is nobody better than WIN METHOD at what he does.

Another solid lineup. All they need to do is produce when it counts.
It is what it is. The WIN METHOD is the greatest evaluation tool baseball has ever known.
Headley gets the day off today. You can't play everyone. Hicks and young Frazier are on the DL. They both could be in the lineup. Sanchez is serving suspension.

FACTOID::::---- The WIN METHOD since its inception has never had a losing season.
Also it has the highest win percentage of all teams in MLB over its tenure.
Anonymous...Mucho bueno.
Just about game time. Lets go Yankees.
Rain delay. Looks like it should be between 1-2 hours.
Taking tarp off field. Projected start time @ 9:15.
Game is starting now. Over two hour delay.
Yankees leading 6-3 after five. For some reason I have bad vibes about this game. Hope it is just the hour of night.
Yankee lead down to 6-5 after 6. CC goes 5 1/3 and allows all 5 runs.
Chapman pitching the 8th in a 1 run game. And gets O's out 1,2,3. Yanks clinging by their fingernails to a 1 run lead as they haven't been able to push over another run with several chances.
Betances blows game in 9th giving up 2 out 2 run HR. I told you I had bad vibes about this game.
Final 7-6 loss after being up 6-1. Another blown game by a closer. And another one run loss.
Another sleepless nightmare filled night last night. But I am at work.
I can't be happy about things for more than a couple of days. As soon as things are seemingly going great the Yanks snatch defeat from the jaws of victory to make things bad again. It's uncanny.
Sonny Gray tonight to win a series we should have already won. This season has been a roller coaster ride.
We gave the game away last night as a team...from CC's poor effort...to the lineup poor production but for one inning that was helped by a dropped fly ball...to Betances utter failure again to save the game.
Yes it is raining in Baltimore. We need to win every time we play.
Every game from the first to the last has the same value. The difference of what creates pressure is in April and May when you are 10 games out of first place you still feel you have time to make them up because you know there are well over 100 games to be played. In September when you are a few games from making the playoffs and there are only 25 games left each one is very important because you either win and make the playoffs or go home because there are no more games of value once you are eliminated.

We need to win and win and win.
The only way we miss the playoffs is by losing. We can't be caught if we win. Nothing else matters.

Same lineup from yesterdays rained out game. Still need to win today.
My personal feeling with baseball is that players are inordinately overpaid. Too many players do not have the passion to win. The worst part of all this is the fans pay through the nose if they want to go to the game, especially with a family.
Yankees take early 3-0 lead in first on Gregorius 2 out RBI double followed by Judge 2 run HR.
Yanks build 7-0 lead after four.
Adam Warren on DL with back pain.
8-1 lead after 6 creates a laugher win for a change. Gives us this series which we should have swept.
9-1 lead after 8. One more inning and one more win.
Final 9-1 win. Wire to wire. Bullpen flawless.
Now on to Texas and win another series.
Tanaka, Louie Louie, and Monty likely for Texas series.
Warren out hurts more than you may think. He and Green do the same job. And in back to back games they complimented each other. Now there is no Warren.
Heller looked great pitching the 9th today and closing out game. BUT, pitching with a 9-1 lead doesn't put pressure on the pitcher as coming in with a 1 or 2 run lead.
All out drive to the finish on now to make the playoffs. Only wins will get a team there.
Tanaka pitches well and the lineup produces when it counts tonight = a win tonight.
