Hello WIN METHOD fans. This season, as so many youngsters bloom and grow, has had far too many downs. To be contending for the division title with all the injuries our players and team have sustained is remarkable and displays the character of our players and team. We will overcome no matter what is thrown at us.
The 2017 disabled list (DL) has included Gary Sanchez, Greg Bird, Tyler Austin, Starlin Castro, Didi Gregorius, Aaron Hicks, Jacoby Ellsbury, Matt Holiday, CC Sabathia, Adam Warren, Aroldis Chapman, James Kaprielian, Gleyber Torres, Clarke Schmidt, and Dustin Fowler. Several of these players have had their season ended. For a few of these men recovery will take many months and they can only look forward to 2018. The others can still contribute this season. I just want to give a special shout out to Dustin Fowler whose injury may be the most devastating. I have had a special liking for Dustin for a long time now and I will pray for his healing, full recovery, and return to the YANKEES in 2018.
It is truly hard to believe, that with all the injuries, this team is still right in the thick of the pennant race. The character of these WIN METHOD players is their crutch, the attitude they display when challenged with adversity is magnificent.
They play with one goal, for the TEAM to WIN. Everyone contributes, and they win or lose as a team. The goal is always the playoffs and beyond, in the past, now, and in the future. These WIN METHOD men will fight to the end.
With every setback, the door of opportunity opens for another player. Hopefully another youngster will race through the door and seize the chance before they expected.
As WIN METHOD fans, unquestionably the smartest and most knowledgeable baseball fans in the world, we support or team, ownership, management, players, and coaches. We don't whine and cry, and we don't criticize and blame.
We leave that to, yes you guessed it, the stat fraud losers of the world.
There is most of the season left to play and we will persevere, playing the best we can. We will continue to bloom and grow. The draft was wonderful and the WIN METHOD got what it wanted in several draftees. Our number one selection will be something to look forward to. LETS GO YANKEES.

«Oldest ‹Older 2201 – 2379 of 2379Frazier two out RBI double ties game at one in 5th.
Kahnle comes out for Louie Louie in fifth. Possible injury likely maybe, hope not bad.
1-1 after 6.
Robertson in for 7th.
1-1 going to the 8th. Lets go Yankees, lets get some runs.
Louie Louie was hit by a comebacker in the 4th on his left non throwing arm pretty hard. That is likely why he was taken out. At least I hope so.
1-1 after 8.
Chapman on for the ninth.
Yankees lose 2-1 as Sanchez drops throw at plate where runner would be out by ten feet.
Final another one run loss 2-1 again. Down in the series 2-0. But we are as good as any team. We will come back just as we did against Cleveland.
At least we don't have to win three in a row like against the Indians.
The kids are gaining experience and learning on the fly. Let them make their mistakes now and bloom and grow next season.
Ain't giving up until the last out is made. Lets go Yankees.
CC to the rescue again?
We got two very well pitched games, but the bats have been horrendous from top to bottom. Everyone has been swinging at garbage. Learn guys, learn.
Off day today after two very tough losses where the bats lost their way. Need to win four before losing two more. Yes we can.
Odd as it may seem, we still have a better chance at this series than we had at the Indian series, and we won that one.
These past two games could have been won, two of the very best teams in baseball are playing their hearts out.
- The difference being the Astros executed similar plays, where the Yankees didn't.
- Relay throws from OF- Astros nailed Gardner, Altuve scored winning run on poorly aligned relay.
- Play at plate - Astros handle short hop to tag Bird, Yankees fumble short hop - allow winning run to score.
- RF fence - Headley just misses HR at fence, Correa just sneaks it over maybe.
These razor thin examples are magnified because the results have swung a possible 2-0 Yankees lead to being down 0-2. Realistically they had a great shot at a split...
No need to panic and this group is resilient, they will find a way to send the series back to Houston.
I have seen a lot of baseball over many decades and I can't fathom the way today's players swing at so many pitches out of the strike zone. Far to many wild hard swings instead of seeing the ball and hitting the ball over the plate by just meeting it and driving it to where it is pitched. When you try to pull and outside pitch your at bat will not fair well. You go with it and drive it to the opposite field and you will be a hitter to reckon with.
Home plate is there for a reason. To differentiate pitches as either strikes or balls. If a batter cannot differentiate he will have problems.
Steve, Victor Grandozi, Excellent observations.
CC in yet another big game when it counts.
Rebound and revenge starts tomorrow.
Cold front coming thru tonight as CC tries to get Yanks a win. In the cold the Yankee bats need to get hot.
Not a must win game tonight, however a really big game. Anything is possible, but coming back from down 3-0 and having to win four straight over the Astros would not be easy task.
So lets win tonight. LETS GO YANKEES.
Need to get back to basics tonight. The pitching has been fine and hope it stays that way. The hitting has fallen into a pit. The hitters need to adjust.
Monday 10/16 8:00pm
CC Sabathia (L)
vs. Astros - Charlie Morton (R)
1. Brett Gardner (L) LF
2. Aaron Judge (R) RF
3. Didi Gregorius (L) SS
4. Gary Sanchez (R) C
5. Greg Bird (L) 1B
6. Starlin Castro (R) 2B
7. Aaron Hicks (S) CF
8. Todd Frazier (R) 3B
9. Chase Headley (S) DH
Left right lineup. Just need to produce when it counts and earn a win. The second win is easier than the first win. Lets go Yankees.
Nice if we could score early and put up a couple of crooked numbers.
Play with confidence. You have earned the right to be here and you earned it with wins. Now go out there and earn some more wins. Yes you can.
Lets go Yankees.
Lets get a win and move forward. Everyone contributes.
Lets win at home.
Bottom of second two out, Castro single, Hicks single, Frazier three run home run.
Yanks lead 3-0 after 2.
What good are replays if they get the real result wrong half the time?????
Two out fourth inning RBI single for Headley makes it 4-0. Wild pitch makes it 5-0. Judge three run HR makes it 8-0 all with two outs.
WHEN WHEN WHEN
Yanks23245...You called a couple of crooked numbers early. Nice. The brains of posters on this blog are unbelievable.
Yankees up 8-0 thru 5. CC still in for 6th. Hopefully CC can get through 1 or 2 more innings and give bullpen big break.
Adam Warren throws a scoreless 7th. Still up 8-0.
Warren with another scoreless inning. Yanks up 8-0 after 8.
Likely Girardi will use Betances in ninth with this big a lead. That would save all the arms for tomorrow if needed.
Gray skies starts tomorrow and that scares me.
Betances is coming if for the ninth. Remember, this is a no pressure situation. Lets see how he does.
Betanaces walks first batter on 4 pitches. Betances walks second batter but does get two strikes on him. Betances out of the game. How sad. I think everything may go back to Betances embarrassing himself in his arbitration battle with the Yankees. He lost big time and still is getting overpaid.
Kahnle coming in. Gives up single, bases loaded no one out, top of lineup coming up.
Kahnle closes it out for 8-1 win. Betances in no mans land.
Final 8-1 win. CC brilliant again and some life from some bats carry the game. Eight runs scored with two outs.
That is one win, need three more. Lets do it again tomorrow.
Sonny Gray can make everyone forget how bad he has been with a big game win tomorrow. We will find out what he has. Take command Gray.
As each game passes the Yankees are showing they can play with anyone. Bloom and grow.
Hey There. I found your weblog the usage of msn. That
is an extremely smartly written article. I'll be sure to bookmark it and come back
to learn more of your useful info. Thank you for the post.
I'll definitely return.
Easy win last night, how sweet it would be if we won just one of the first 2-1 losses. A win today would be great. Gray steps up or crashes and burns. The ball is in his hand.
Gray has never pitched in big game situations nor with a big game team, he may not have the intestinal fortitude to be able to perform at this high a level. That is my opinion. However Gray will be given the opportunity to prove me wrong and it would be great for the Yankees if he does. Go out and win today Sonny and maybe you will start playing down the name Gray skies. Lets go Yankees.
Today's game is 5:00PM fans. I think it stinks that networks control game times for their own profit and to hell with the fans.
If we score runs like yesterday hopefully even Gray can win. The best scenario is Gray goes six shutout innings.
Judge had a very nice game defensively last night, going back and coming in for catches.
The biggest hit last night was Frazier's 3 run home run going to the opposite field.
Likely lineup today is same or very close to what Girardi has been using.
Tuesday 10/17 5:00pm

2. Aaron Judge (R) RF
3. Didi Gregorius (L) SS
4. Gary Sanchez (R) DH
5. Greg Bird (L) 1B
6. Starlin Castro (R) 2B
7. Aaron Hicks (S) CF
8. Todd Frazier (R) 3B
9. Austin Romine (R) C
Romine in for first time and catching. Sanchez DH.
Would love to see Romine come up big today. I have a fondness for backup catchers.
How sweet it is when you put up a couple of crooked numbers especially a big crooked number. Lets do it again today and get even.
This is the last paragraph from WIN METHODS April 1, 2017 blog post. Dead on called it right while 99% of the pundits and stat frauds predicted maybe .500 season for the Yankees.
"""""Now, as the 2017 season begins, we are looking for a winning season, the playoffs and beyond, as the team keeps getting better and more youngster keep getting better and becoming good enough to make the big league team. Thank you, to all you fans from all over the world, baseballs brightest and most knowledgeable. Lets all get ready for a great season. LETS GO YANKEES."""""
A winning season, the playoffs and beyond. That is exactly what is happening. No wonder this blog is the greatest baseball blog in the world.
Jill Byrnes>>>>No question. I know more about baseball, and enjoy the game more since coming here to the WIN METHOD blog. I love the upbeat attitudes, the great insight from so many posters, even enjoy the posts of the occasional fool stat frauds posts.
All I can say is LETS GO YANKEES.
Take a deep breath, hold it, relax, let it out. LETS GO YANKEES.
0-0 after 2.
0-0 after 2.
Yanks down 3-0 after 6.
After Yanks fall behind 4-0 in 7th Judge leads off bottom of 7th with HR knocking Astro's starter out of game.
Didi triple, Sanchez sac fly cuts lead to 4-2. Astro's bring in second reliever of inning.
Lets go guys, keep grinding.
Yanks down 4-2 thru 7. Need a late rally.
Frazier single, Headley double, Gardner ground out to second for RBI and runner to 3rd. Now down 4-3. Judge RBI double ties it at 4. Didi infield single, men on 1st and 3rd. Sanchez double clears bases Yankees 6-4. Bird intentional walk, men on 1st and 2nd. Castro walks to load bases. Hicks ground force out first baseman to catcher. Frazier who started it all grounds out to end inning. Chapman coming in with a 6-4 lead and needs three outs.
What a comeback, don't fail us now Chapman.
K one out. KK two out. Pop fly to left three out.
Final, the Yankeeeeeeeeeeeeees Winnnnnnnnnnn. 6-4 coming back from 4-0 down.
Series tied at two games each. One more game at the Stadium.
Big win tonight by WIN METHODS team.
Have to give Gray credit for last nights effort. He did go four scoreless innings and if the Yankees had scored first and were up 6-0 in the fifth maybe Girardi would have left Gray in longer for the fifth inning after the first two batters reached base. ???? Robertson just got beat by a good hitter and that can happen to any pitcher. But we won, that is the only thing that counts.
Every time I watch Gray pitch I feel he is going to implode at any time. He has some movement of pitches but he doesn't seem to go long into games, throws many pitches, and is not in charge. Lets see how he progresses into next season. As a fifth starter he would likely be fine. But he is nowhere at top of the line starter.
Tanaka starts today. Hope he does again what he has done the last few starts. If the hitters get to Keuchel the worm may turn in our favor. What this Yankee team has accomplished this season was seen only by WIN METHOD the greatest baseball talent evaluator in the world.
If we can only score early against the Astros today and put big pressure on them to come back.
Like anything, things tend to even out to some degree. Not scoring a run off Keuchel is due to change for some runs to eventually be scored off him. Maybe today?
Keuchel and Verlander both won in this series, if we beat even one of them in the next two games this series goes to a seventh game.
We have scored crooked numbers the past two games and won them both. The previous two games we did not score any crooked numbers and lost them get. I love crooked numbers, that is what we need today.
Wednesday 10/18 5:00pm
Masahiro Tanaka (R)
vs. Astros - Dallas Keuchel (L)
1. Brett Gardner (L) LF
2. Aaron Judge (R) RF
3. Gary Sanchez (R) C
4. Didi Gregorius (L) SS
5. Aaron Hicks (S) CF
6. Starlin Castro (R) 2B
7. Greg Bird (L) 1B
8. Todd Frazier (R) 3B
9. Chase Headley (S) DH
Hicks moved up to a key spot. Lets produce when we get the chances. Lets go Yankees.
I can give several reasons why this blog has so many viewers from all over the world. Number one is the very minimal posts by the stat fraud community, the most ignorant fans in baseball. I rest my case.
Seven game series. One team must win four games to move on. Every game that is played has the exact same value. Just like the 162 game season. Every You must win four games of your season is finished. No complicated formulas, no lies, no deceptions, just fact.
Tom Loughlin.....The WIN METHOD blog will attain a very special milestone shortly. Reaching the milestone likely has much to do with the point of your post.
Lets go Yankees. Lets have some fun winning another game.
This team has come so far this season. I am very excited and am really looking forward to the next couple of games. It would be great to get to the World Series. Even if we get eliminated in this series, the year has been great, fun, and inspiring. There is no down to this season no matter what happens over the next few games.
Castro booming double and Bird 2 out RBI single put Yanks up early 1-0 after two. Not a crooked number.
Headley single, Judge RBI double gives Yankees 2-0 lead after three innings.
Lets go Yankees.
Fans, don't believe for a second that the Astros have given up. This game isn't over by a long shot. We need a crooked number.
Tanaka grinding big time stranding Astro runners in scoring position in at least three innings. He is close to spent.
Headley single, Judge walk, Sanchez two out RBI single makes it 3-0 Yankees. Didi two out RBI single makes it 4-0 and knocks Kuechel out of game and gives Yankees a crooked number.
Four different Yankees have RBIs tonight so far.
Tanaka pitching the seventh inning. Bullpen ready just in case. Three up three down. Seven scoreless innings. A great outing. I guess he wasn't spent. That leaves just two innings for the bullpen.
Sanchez solo HR in 7th makes it 5-0.
Kahnle with a 1,2,3 8th. 5-0 Yankees and just 3 more outs.
Kahnle throws a scoreless ninth. Bullpen will be full bore for Friday in Houston with Louie Louie starting.
Final 5-0 win. On to Houston needing another win.
We finally beat Kuechel. How, producing when it counted. Meanwhile, Houston had several opportunities and converted none of them failing when it counted. Bird got the first RBI which set the tone.
This bloom and grow season is unbelievable. I am so thrilled to be part of the Yankee tradition. This is new for me.
Off day tomorrow. Lets go Yankees.
Verlander threw over 120 pitches last outing. Possibly an older pitcher doesn't come back as strong nor as sharp in a must win game for his team. You never know.
Appreciate the day off today to bask in the glow of what our Yankee team has accomplished this season even if they lose in Houston. Soaking it all in and when this season ends will be waiting for next season and more new faces as we bloom and grow.
I have been spending some time checking all the Yankee forums, talking head blogs, and baseball pundits, I can find and to the best I have yet to find anyone who thought this years Yankee team would be as successful this season as they have, except WIN METHOD and the posters here. This is the only place to be if you know baseball and are a true Yankee fan.
Game is 8 PM EST FS1 tomorrow night. Lets go Yankees.
Louie Louie needs to dominate and then pass the baton to the bullpen. Yes we can.
Love those crooked numbers. Three or four one run innings never hurts. Keep it up guys.
Steve, I believe you are correct...the posters in several forums I have read are posting that no one had projected the Yankees to be where they are. I guess they aren't smart enough to read the WIN METHOD.
Todd Frazier reminds me so much of Scott Brosius. Lets get the same results.
If Louie Louie is good tomorrow and if the lineup produces when it counts we should have a good game. Everyone contributes. It's a WIN METHOD tenet. Lets go Yankees.
Lets go Yankees. Yes we can.
Today is the day. Lets see how we perform when we are on the other end of an elimination game .
Lets go Yankees. You have work to do yet. Not time to go home yet.
Louie Louie should be very strong tonight. He will need to harness his energy and distribute it over at least five to six innings. Shutout innings would be great.
Karl R......Louie Louie has only thrown four plus innings in the last two weeks. Just needs to throw strikes with movement repeatedly tonight.
Lets go Yankees. You are the best.
Produce when it counts and prevent when it counts wins games. Lets go Yankees.
One game at a time. That is only way to play the game. Yes we can.
Look for the gold standard Yankee lineup tonight form Girardi, Likely all L/R.
Play the best baseball you can and let the chips fall where they may. Yes you can.
This could become a special day for two reasons. One for sure is that it is WIN METHODS 75th birthday. The other we all know who we are rooting for tonight.
Friday 10/20 8:00pm
Luis Severino (R)
@ Astros - Justin Verlander (R)
1. Brett Gardner (L) LF
2. Aaron Judge (R) RF
3. Didi Gregorius (L) SS
4. Gary Sanchez (R) C
5. Greg Bird (L) 1B
6. Starlin Castro (R) 2B
7. Aaron Hicks (S) CF
8. Todd Frazier (R) 3B
9. Chase Headley (S) DH
L/R lineup exactly what they used against Verlander last game. LETS GO YANKEES.
Happy Birthday WIN METHOD, Love ya,
Lets earn the win.
Scoreless thru three.
0-0 after four. We need a crooked number.
Louie Louie cracks in fifth giving up 3 runs. Yanks down 3-0 after five.
Yanks down 3-0 after 5.
Six complete, down 3-0.
Frazier, so close but yet so far. Yankees still down 3-0 after 7.
Judge 8th inning HR cuts lead to 3-1.
Houston pounds Robertson in 8th to ice game.
Houston brings in their closer with a 7-1 lead and the Yankee batters are making him work and with a few more pitches may make him not likely to be used tomorrow.
Final, Yankees lose 7-1. Elimination game tomorrow for both teams.
Yanks go down 7-1. Series even.
Final game of season tomorrow night. Winner goes to World Series, loser goes home. No matter what happens it has been one heck of a season for this young blooming and growing Yankee team.
Lets go Yankees.
CC starts tomorrow with everyone else set to go.
It comes down to one game. If Houston woke up last night and move forward we will have a tough time tonight. But each game is a battle in itself. So lets win tonight's battle.
Can CC do it again. The rock of the pitching staff. Yes he can, yes we can. Lets go Yankees.
Louie Louie spit the bit in the fifth inning and it was disappointing.
Just enjoy the game. I will feel great and proud of this team no matter if they win or lose in Game 7. Lets go Yankees.
Severino just lost the strike zone in the 5th inning. Shame as he was dealing before then.
Can't help but wonder if Girardi had take Sevy out, and brought in Green to face Altuve. Could have still been just a 1-0 game.
The Yankees have won four win or go home post season games so far this October. Tonight is game five. Win, yes we can and we will.
Something to remember regarding Louie Louie, he is only 23 and still developing. Bloom and grow.
Tonight will mark the 13th post season game for the Yankees. The youngsters are getting a good dose of high level post season competition. Experiencing the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat each game.
This team has come so far just like WIN METHOD said they would, wouldn't it be great to get to the WS. Just have to win one more game.
Lets earn the win with pitching, hitting, and defense when it counts. Lets go Yankees.
Double elimination games are the most fun, particularly when you win. Yes we will.
Win or lose it has been a great season. But, lets win.
Carl Hooks, If we lose it has been a good season, but I bet if Houston loses many there will not think it was a good season not getting to the WS and losing to a wild card team.
If we win tonight our youngsters get to play four more games and they would be on the biggest stages and brightest lights in baseball. Can't hurt, just have to earn the chance tonight.
Come on Yankees, win it for us. We love you.

7. Aaron Hicks (S) CF
8. Todd Frazier (R) 3B
9. Chase Headley (S) DH
Lets go Yankees.
Lets go Yankees. Do yourselves proud.
Lets go Yankees.
Hold them down CC. Lineup score big time.
Time to produce when it counts or go home.
0-0 after 3. CC has nothing and is grinding.
Houston strikes first with solo HR in 4th for 1-0 lead.
Yanks get first chance to score in fifth with Bird lead off double but fail. Trail 1-0.
Yankees down 4-0 after five.
Yanks down 4-0 after 7. Do we have a rally in us.
Final. Yankees lose 4-0 and end a great season.
will-i-am.....at least it wasn't a one run loss this time.
Time to go home, rest, and enjoy the family and the holidays, then get ready for next year and an even better season.
Great season WIN METHOD fans. Thank you for all your support.
Go Houston, beat the AAAA league.
Great run guys. Take the next step in 2018.
A little down this morning, but I'll get over it and am very proud of the Yankees.
From the Yankees to their fans.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a8hrzuNAc6A
Thanks wolfie >>>>>> It is we who should be thanking the team for their great performance. How about everyone who reads this, stand up, give a few claps, and say aloud 'thank you Yankees'.
Nice video. Lets go Yankees. The ride has just begun and is going to last a long time. How about a decade.
We had a fine run that few, but those here, expected. We KNOW baseball.
Should be a fun winter as we deal and build from power. Watch for more youngsters to bloom and grow next season.
Much more blooming and growing in the Yankee future.
