WIN METHOD - YANKEE BASEBALL
2025 SEASON - RACE TO THE PLAYOFFS
Perfect timing YANKEE fans. Here we are just a quarter into the 2025 season, just won a three game series from the Mets, and are leading the American League East Division by five games. A nice start to the season, and without our "ace" starter Gerrit Cole, who is out for the season after under going Tommy John surgery.
The good news from the 2024-2025 hot stove season is, no, make it great news, the YANKEES did not sign Juan Soto. 😊. The YANKEES and Brian Cashman had to go with Plan B. The result being, the YANKEES signed Max Fried, who has stepped right into the 'ace' position as starting pitcher. Signed Cory Bellinger, who has settled in as a left handed force in the lineup, as an everyday outfielder with spectacular defense. Signed Paul Goldschmidt who has been a gem offensively and defensively at first base. Allowed Jason 'Martian' Dominguez to be an everyday left fielder, who at 22 years of age, is still learning and developing as a hitter and outfielder and doing it at the Major League Baseball level.
Then there is Aaron Judge, there is nothing I can say that you all can't see for yourself, what Aaron Judge brings to this team and MLB baseball, both on and off the field, his character and his integrity. A true Most Valuable Player.
In other good news, the YANKEES have just had DJ LeMahieu return to the lineup after suffering several odd injuries which have kept DJ on the disabled list (DL), more on than off for over a year. Initial results, albeit just a few games have been positive. The on-going development of Will Warren, a young starting pitcher who has pitched his way onto the rotation and seems to be improving with each start, building confidence and acumen. Luis Gil, who suffered a high-grade lat strain in late February at spring training camp is on the mend, and we may see him join the starting rotation in late June. Jonathan Loaisiga has returned to the bullpen relief staff after a year on the disabled list with major elbow surgery. He has made three appearances so far, and has looked very dominant.
YANKEE youngsters, first baseman/catcher Ben Rice, and catcher Austin Wells are still blooming and growing, getting regular playing time at the MLB level while contributing to YANKEE wins. A sad note, Oswaldo Cabrera who had won the starting third base position, broke his ankle at home plate this past week, scoring a run. He will be out for at least three months, but should be back by September.

That will happen because of your unwavering belief, viewership, and comments on this blog. You are the most knowledgeable and intelligent baseball fans in the world. Grisham with the big blast of the game, a grand slam HR to break a 1-1 tie. Volpe with a very late 2 run HR for the 9th and 10th runs.

Schlittler with dominant six innings of one run ball keeps Yankees in game. Williams gives up one run to send game into extra innings. Big win against a tough pitcher tonight. Fried tomorrow and a Yankee win will cap a perfect week of wins.

Yanks bullpen, all for one and one for all tonight. An equal opportunity failure as Williams gives up 4 runs in the 8th and will take the loss unless the Yanks have a big 9th inning rally in them. From leading 4-1 to 8-4 behind.
Final, Yankees lose 8-7 as bullpen blows up. Warren went five innings and left game leading 4-2. Cruz gave up a run in 6th, down 4-3. Weaver gave up a run in 7th, even 4-4. Williams with the help of Doval gives up 4 runs, down 8-4. Yankees score 3 in the 9th on Bellinger 3 run HR to lose 8-7. Home plate umpire was a pathetic joke, but that is commissioner Manfred baseball.
One rotten loss.
Final game with Astros is now a rubber game. Hope the Yankees come out fuming and on fire for a resounding win.
The bullpen better be able to close out the game tonight after their disgrace last night. The games are won by team efforts not individual efforts.

Yankee bats come alive in the 8th. After the flailing Volpe K's with 2 on and 1 out, for the 2nd out of the inning, McMahon with a BIG when it matters most rbi single, for an insurance run 5-3 lead. More, Grisham follows with a 3 run HR for a 8-3 lead. Hope that's enough cushion for the bullpen.

Hard fought 8-4 win, which takes the series 2 games to 1. Yanks head home to host Blue Jays for a three game weekend series.

With the rain delay, Gil should be done for the day. Six innings allowing one run. I was very pleased with his pitching today. It looks like he is maturing very nicely. His demeanor, composure, and maturity may be turning the corner. He really looked good, and against a very strong lineup and team. Will still need three innings from the ballpen for the win.
About a 1 and 3/4 hour rain delay. But Yanks score a run for a 3-1 lead after six.

Williams worked a scoreless 8th for a hold. Bednar closed out the 9th for the save. Rice three run first inning home run was the Yankee offense and the winning 4th run a rbi double. Yankees only the 3 hits for the game. The biggest hit of the game was Rice's when it mattered most three run home run.
An edge of your seat, nail biting win by Yankees today, 4-3. Puts Yankees just two games behind Toronto for the division lead. Fried and Rice the two big Yankee stars of the game, with Bellinger, Williams, and Bednar also earning stars for the efforts today.
The Yanks win 4-3, taking a big series from the division leading team and likely assured themselves a playoff spot no matter what happens the rest of the season. Better yet, they still can win the division. Their edge may be that they have five strong starting pitchers. Another plus would be sitting Volpe five or six games a week the rest of the season

Explaining last nights loss using the WIN METHOD, the only tool knowledgeable and intelligent baseball fans use, starting pitcher (Rodon) kept team in game, the bullpen (Weaver) pretty much ended any chance of a comeback, but the lineup was the massive fail that lost all chance of winning game. Nothing else mattered, nothing, not any fake stat, made up stat, or what any stat fraud can say.

Final, Yankees win 10-9, but tried their best to blow a 10-1 lead. Leiter gets the win because Schlittler couldn't finish the 5th inning. Williams gets hold and Bednar gets the save. Every Yankees player in opening lineup contributed at least one hit to the win. Series even with rubber game tomorrow night.
Yanks hang on, from a laugher to a nail biter, but it is a win.

Ted Williams was maybe the first WIN METHOD believer, stating that "every time I come to the plate I am batting .000. After the at bat, I will be either .000 or 1.000". The thought process behind his thinking over 80+ years ago is the following.
"Each time I bat I start at .000": This means that each new attempt or "at-bat" is a clean slate. You don't carry the baggage of past failures with you. It's an emphasis on being fully present and focused on the task at hand, free from past successes or failures.
"After the at bat I am either .000 or 1.000": This simplifies the outcome of a single at-bat to a binary result—either success or failure. In a real game, a batter's average is a cumulative statistic, but for a single at-bat, the batter either gets a hit (success) or does not (failure). The point is that the process of hitting requires a total commitment to achieving a perfect outcome, with the understanding that the result will either be a hit or it won't.
In essence, the Ted Williams quote is the WIN METHOD philosophy:
* A "one-pitch-at-a-time" mentality: You can't change the past, so each new opportunity should be approached with a fresh, focused mind.
* The pursuit of perfection: A hitter's goal on every pitch is to get a hit, which is a "perfect" outcome for that moment.
* Separating process from outcome: The hitter's job is to execute the best possible process, regardless of whether the final outcome is a hit or an out.
Amazing stuff WIN METHOD. That was Ted Williams philosophy and quote. He believed everything else was just numbers.

Yanks take game one of four game Oriole series 7-0. Easy-peasy as Fired in total control and dominant going seven goose-egg innings for the win.
Nice no drama 7-0 win with Fried going seven shutout innings for the win. Warren tomorrow night for the Yankees.

This is going to be one heck of a tough game to win. If the Yankees have intentions of advancing through the playoffs and into the World Series, this the type of game they will need to win during the upcoming MLB second season.
Guy Padikian, biggest produce when it matters most load may fall on Warren keeping the Yankees in the game and not getting blown up.

Final. Yankees lose 4-2. The game went exactly as Guy Padikian said it would. Warren takes the loss although he pitched well, then made a stupid error in the 6th to give up 2 unearned runs because of himself. Chisholm 2 run HR in 7th only Yankee runs.
