        WIN METHOD - YANKEE BASEBALL

2025 SEASON - RACE TO THE PLAYOFFS

Perfect timing YANKEE fans.  Here we are just a quarter into the 2025 season, just won a three game series from the Mets, and are leading the American League East Division by five games.  A nice start to the season, and without our "ace" starter Gerrit Cole, who is out for the season after under going Tommy John surgery.

The good news from the 2024-2025 hot stove season is, no, make it great news, the YANKEES did not sign Juan Soto. 😊.  The YANKEES and Brian Cashman had to go with Plan B.  The result being, the YANKEES signed Max Fried, who has stepped right into the 'ace' position as starting pitcher. Signed Cory Bellinger, who has settled in as a left handed force in the lineup, as an everyday outfielder with spectacular defense. Signed Paul Goldschmidt who has been a gem offensively and defensively at first base.  Allowed Jason 'Martian' Dominguez to be an everyday left fielder, who at 22 years of age, is still learning and developing as a hitter and outfielder and doing it at the Major League Baseball level.

Then there is Aaron Judge, there is nothing I can say that you all can't see for yourself, what Aaron Judge brings to this team and MLB baseball, both on and off the field, his character and his integrity.  A true Most Valuable Player.

In other good news, the YANKEES have just had DJ LeMahieu return to the lineup after suffering several odd injuries which have kept DJ on the disabled list (DL), more on than off for over a year. Initial results, albeit just a few games have been positive.  The on-going development of Will Warren, a young starting pitcher who has pitched his way onto the rotation and seems to be improving with each start, building confidence and acumen.  Luis Gil, who suffered a high-grade lat strain in late February at spring training camp is on the mend, and we may see him join the starting rotation in late June.  Jonathan Loaisiga has returned to the bullpen relief staff after a year on the disabled list with major elbow surgery.  He has made three appearances so far, and has looked very dominant.

YANKEE youngsters, first baseman/catcher Ben Rice, and catcher Austin Wells are still blooming and growing, getting regular playing time at the MLB  level while contributing to YANKEE wins.  A sad note, Oswaldo Cabrera who had won the starting third base position, broke his ankle at home plate this past week, scoring a run.  He will be out for at least three months, but should be back by September.

Once more, thank you WIN METHOD baseball fans. This blog will break two billion two hundred million views in a couple of weeks.  That will happen because of your unwavering belief, viewership, and comments on this blog.  You are the most knowledgeable and intelligent baseball fans in the world.  You all know how to judge baseball talent using the WIN METHOD philosophy of producing when it counts and matters the most.

Let's all enjoy this season, the run to the playoffs, and beyond.  The best is yet to come.    LETS GO YANKEES, LETS GO.

Final. Yankees win 3-2 on a walk off single by Jose Caballeros. Clinch a playoff spot. Weaver gets the win in relief of Gil who pitched a great game but for one pitch. giving up a two run home run in sixth inning.

I love the WIN METHOD, it makes baseball exciting. I have learned when it is "when it matters most time' and that any player on the team can make the difference in any game. I never look at stats anymore. Next week, it is going to be playoff time for out YANKEES.

yankeeclipper said...

White Sox gave it everything they had, played a great game, Yanks just played a speck better for the win. Do it again tomorrow.

Nathan Riley said...

Beautiful win last night. The winning hit from Caballeros who did not try to hit the ball out of the ballpark, a nine pitch at bat, fouling off tough pitches until he got one he could handle and looped a game winning walk hit to centerfield.

Fried with a quality start tonight, the bullpen does its job again, and the lineup doubles up or more yesterdays menial output should make for another the YANKEES WIN METHOD win. Lets go YANKEES!

Just play WIN METHOD baseball. Producing when it matters most equals wins. Nothing else matters.

Zack Norris said...

I guess we just saw the most massive failure of when it matters most in the Yankee first inning tonight. Grisham, Judge, Bellinger all walk, Stanton goes to 3-0 count and on a 3-2 pitch pops out to very short right field, Rice and Goldsmidt then strike out. 34 pitches only 1 was put in play. Hope it does not protend the rest of the game for the Yankees.

Judge two out three run home run in second for 3-1 Yankee lead.

Fried goes seven innings giving up one run. Wasn't really sharp, but was good enough. Leaves game on top 5-1. Yankee bats ho-hum, Judge three run homer the big hit. Bullpen time.

Final. Yankees win 8-4. Warren went five rough innings giving up all 4 runs, but got the win because the Yankee lineup produced 8 runs when it mattered, took and early lead and added on. Bullpen went four scoreless innings. Leiter, Hill, Cruz, Doval, and Bednar.

Yankees come to bat in bottom of 9th trailing 3-1. Goldschmidt, judge, and Bellinger with three consecutive singles loading the bases with no outs. Stanton strike outs, Chisholm pops out to short right field, and Grisham strikes out to end the game, his 4th strikeout of the game. Yankees in a must win game tomorrow with Rodon starting. Fried's 6 1/3 shutout innings to start the game goes down the drain as lineup and bullpen both fail when it mattered most.

Deb F said...

Horrid start to the post season for Yankees. Lose 3-1 as lineup failed in every scoring opportunity they had. With the bullpen also failing with Weaver taking the loss.

will-i-am said...

Final. Yankees lose 3-1. Lone Yankee run a home run from Volpe. The Yankee lineup failed to produce when it mattered most every chance they had to score. Bullpen gave up all 3 sux runs in last three innings with Weaver the biggest failure taking the loss. Fried went 6 1/3 scoreless innings giving the Yanks the chance to win the game leaving the game leading 1-0. Must win game tomorrow.

Jeff Miller said...

Let me get this straight, the Yankees lost tonight's game with our hottest hitter, Ben Rice, sitting on the bench all night and never getting into the game. I wonder whose fault that is. Final. Yankees lose 5-1. Their season is over. What you saw tonight was doctorial of the WIN METHOD. The failure to produce when it mattered most, over and over, especially the offense in the last three innings, leaving seven men on base. The failure to turn a double play that gave the Blue Jays two runs late in the game. While on the winning side you saw the Blue Jay produce when it mattered most getting the Yankee batters out over and over. While the Blue Jay offense produced when it mattered most to take the lead and score add-on runs late in the game. Schlittler took the loss, he was not his best, but the loss was by no means his fault. Yankee fans, our season is over. For too long now we have been saying, wait till next year. Unfortunately that's all we can do. Cole will be back early next season, the starting rotation should be fine in 2026. As soon as the playoffs conclude the 'hot stove' will get lit and we all will see what maneuvers the Yankee front office will make.

KevMac said...

People, the final score was 5-2.

Nathan Riley said...

They lost because of poor decisions.

Pitching to Vlad all series when Judge gets walked all season.

Multiple Jazz & Volpe mis plays

Them not deviating from swinging at first pitches in big moments

Schlittler not going for that pitch that was 2 inches from his glove.

Putting in Weaver 2 times in big spots when he ended the season with a 9+ ERA.

Not playing Dominguez until it’s too late

Pitchers & hitters not able to deviate from the plan, making them look silly on both sides until the JAYS make a change lol. (Horrible Yesavage game)

Again, it was a winnable series, just like the WS last year. Only one of these games was a blowout. Made the Jays look like an elite lineup. Springer was ass and no bichette and you still get stomped, horrible.

The people who are protesting today are communists, progressives, anti-Americans, who are the people, millions of them, who are responsible for destroying the United States of America. Our freedom of speech has given them the right to do and say what they are doing and saying. It this is not stopped now, we are going to destroy ourselves from within.

There is voting in many states this November, with positions in state government being contested. All I can ask is for all voters to use common sense and see the light. Remember the democrat party does not exist any longer as the true democrat party. It has been hi-jacked and stolen by the liberals, progressives, and communists, who are the scum of the world. The party is now known as the demonrat party. If you vote for any of these people running you are voting to destroy America and your freedom. When these people speak, they lie, lie, and lie again. America is being made great again under the leadership of the conservatives and republicans running under the republican name and banner. In just seven months of conservative republicans taking charge of the government, the border has been sealed and there are no more criminals entering America. Millions of illegals who the demonrats, progressives, and liberals who welcomed these criminals into American and gave them sanctuary in so many of our cities, paying for their drugs, paying them and encouraging their criminal behavior, such as murder, rape, drug distribution, burning, lotting, robbing, pedophilia, stealing, and other crimes, while giving them free medical coverage, all paid with your hard earned tax dollars. These tax dollars, your tax dollars are going to evil people, not to you and your families. Under the present Trump, conservative, republican administration, the criminals are being caught and deported, prices for almost everything are down, gas, home fuel prices, food, and taxes. Things are getting better and better, do not let this opportunity slip away from America the best and greatest country in the world. VOTE, AND VOTE FOR ONLY CONSERVATIVES AND REPUBLICANS. Together, we can all help to make us all healthier and wealthier.

Love games like this one tonight. Just wish the Yankees were in it. This is even magnified to a degree, the game will determine which team goes to the World Series and which one does not.

I do not like this long delay between the league championship series and WS. No reason for it.

Phil Jenkins said...

Dodgers are massive betting favorites to win the World Series. However, do not be surprised if they lose. Both teams do a lot of producing when it matters most, and on paper the stat frauds use, it says the Dodgers can't lose. But the WIN METHOD will decide the winner by who produces the most when it matters most.
