        WIN METHOD - YANKEE BASEBALL

2025 SEASON - RACE TO THE PLAYOFFS

Perfect timing YANKEE fans.  Here we are just a quarter into the 2025 season, just won a three game series from the Mets, and are leading the American League East Division by five games.  A nice start to the season, and without our "ace" starter Gerrit Cole, who is out for the season after under going Tommy John surgery.

The good news from the 2024-2025 hot stove season is, no, make it great news, the YANKEES did not sign Juan Soto. 😊.  The YANKEES and Brian Cashman had to go with Plan B.  The result being, the YANKEES signed Max Fried, who has stepped right into the 'ace' position as starting pitcher. Signed Cory Bellinger, who has settled in as a left handed force in the lineup, as an everyday outfielder with spectacular defense. Signed Paul Goldschmidt who has been a gem offensively and defensively at first base.  Allowed Jason 'Martian' Dominguez to be an everyday left fielder, who at 22 years of age, is still learning and developing as a hitter and outfielder and doing it at the Major League Baseball level.

Then there is Aaron Judge, there is nothing I can say that you all can't see for yourself, what Aaron Judge brings to this team and MLB baseball, both on and off the field, his character and his integrity.  A true Most Valuable Player.

In other good news, the YANKEES have just had DJ LeMahieu return to the lineup after suffering several odd injuries which have kept DJ on the disabled list (DL), more on than off for over a year. Initial results, albeit just a few games have been positive.  The on-going development of Will Warren, a young starting pitcher who has pitched his way onto the rotation and seems to be improving with each start, building confidence and acumen.  Luis Gil, who suffered a high-grade lat strain in late February at spring training camp is on the mend, and we may see him join the starting rotation in late June.  Jonathan Loaisiga has returned to the bullpen relief staff after a year on the disabled list with major elbow surgery.  He has made three appearances so far, and has looked very dominant.

YANKEE youngsters, first baseman/catcher Ben Rice, and catcher Austin Wells are still blooming and growing, getting regular playing time at the MLB  level while contributing to YANKEE wins.  A sad note, Oswaldo Cabrera who had won the starting third base position, broke his ankle at home plate this past week, scoring a run.  He will be out for at least three months, but should be back by September.

Once more, thank you WIN METHOD baseball fans. This blog will break two billion two hundred million views in a couple of weeks.  That will happen because of your unwavering belief, viewership, and comments on this blog.  You are the most knowledgeable and intelligent baseball fans in the world.  You all know how to judge baseball talent using the WIN METHOD philosophy of producing when it counts and matters the most.

Let's all enjoy this season, the run to the playoffs, and beyond.  The best is yet to come.    LETS GO YANKEES, LETS GO.

Scorecards, scorecards, get your scorecards here, you can't tell the players without a scorecard. If Fried pitches a shutout the Yankees win, for sure.😊

Guy, I read the lineup and thought, what the ****! Then I read your comment and couldn't stop laughing.

Steve(winstheonlystat) said...

Yanks score 3 in the first two innings to stake Fried to a 3-0 lead, but they also came to bat three times with the bases loaded and did not score a run when it mattered most. Worse, Fried crashes and burns horrible in the bottom of the second allowing 4 runs. Yankees trail 4-3.

candycane said...

Yanks up 5-4 after 4.

Tommy Lee said...

Williams blows another save in 9th giving up game trying HR. 5-5 going to extra innings as the ghosts enter the game and we play little league Rob Manfred baseball.

Tony Manchu said...

Boone blows another one. Bottom of 10th, ghost runner on second with 2 outs, Boone intentionally walks batter to pitch to the next batter who is pretty good, and the guy hits a 3 run HR. Yankees lose in 10, 8-5.

Diane Stahl said...

Yanks lose in ten, 8-5 and are slowing dropping out of the playoffs.

Zach Norris said...

Reason 1,000,000 why Boone is the worst manager in Yankees history. Look at how this team has responded to horrible losses. Friday was brutal, so how does a team with a friend as manager respond? Shutout Saturday, lifeless effort Sunday, walked off again on Monday, 0-4. Maybe just maybe the team doesn’t want to play for him anymore. Most of the time, in all sports, players actually want structure and accountability, keeps them focused, when you lose focus you need a manager, not a friend, that can snap you out of it.

Air bender fails miserably again, giving up the first runs of the game in 8th inning 2-0 before being taking out with two men on and two out. Yankees have only one hit in game, it doesn't look promising.

Boy o' boy, we needed todays win. Off day tomorrow. The new guys will start settling in, Judge is back, the five-man rotation is set, the bullpen is stronger. Now to get rolling and everyone on the same page, and most importantly, play WIN METHOD baseball the rest of the season.

Yankees heading home for a three game weekend series with the Astros. Off day tomorrow. Schlittler, Gil, and Fried will pitch this weekend. Need wins.

OFF DAY. Time to regroup, time for the new acquisitions to bond with their new teammates. Time to set priorities to enable the team to WIN the most games for the rest of the season. Time for every player to do some soul, searching and looking back to see where they have failed, and then looking forward to be the best they can be and help lead the entire team to the playoffs and beyond. In other words, just play WIN METHOD baseball.

Victor Grandozi said...

I wish Cabrera wasn't lost for the season. He was a spark so often, with the glove and with the bat. I don't think the Yankees would be in this bad a shape if they didn't lose him when they did. Can't do anything about it. Just hope they jell and exceed present expectations. Judge catching fire would help and correcting my pet peeve would be great, Yankee pitchers walking so many hitters.

Seven left handed bats for Yankees. Fried needs to come up "ace" big.

Seven left-handed bats, I just hope they all play WIN METHOD baseball.

0-0 after 3.

Fried goes six innings, gives up nothing. Yankee lineup goes six innings, produces nothing. All goose eggs on the score board, 0-0.

Leiter gives up the only run of the game in the 7th and Yankee bats respond with a goose egg. Trail 1-0 after 7

Eighth inning and Yankee lineup goes down 1,2,3 and looks futile. One more chance. They haven't even had a man reach second base yet.

Robert Mandel said...

Yanks down haplessly, 1,2,3 in nineth. Lose 1-0.

Final. Yankees lose 1-0. Leiter takes loss. Yankee bats take vacation.

Jimmy Thames said...

Yankees never had a scoring chance in the game. The sux had a few and produced on one and that was the game. 1-0 Yankee loss. And Boone will do nothing.

Sonja Henderson said...

I have to see a team win a game without scoring a run.

Steven Sands said...

If Volpe is in the lineup tonight, Boone should be fired immediately for incompetence.

Todays Yankee Lineup

Will Warren RHP

P Goldschmidt (R) 1B
A Judge (R) DH
C Bellinger (L) LF
G Stanton (R) RF
A Rosario (R) 3B
T Grisham (L) CF
A Volpe (R) SS

Yes, Volpe is in lineup. Not smart, not good, nothing to say.

Yankees trailing 5-1 after six innings. Yankees lone run, HR by Stanton.

You don't want to know. Yankees lose 12-1. Lose first three games of this series and have lost eight in a row to the sux this season. How do you spell P A T H E T I C?

Linda Pardo said...

Yankees are like the cell phone commercial on tv, you are embarrassing yourself.

will-i-am said...

Final. Yankees lose 12-1. Warren the loss, Stanton HR only Yankee run.
