The 2022 season is over. Another solid winning season making the playoffs. Sadly another season of getting knocked out of the playoffs and not making the World Series. A good season, yes, to make the playoffs, but not good enough to make the World Series.
The hot stove has been hot and is burning strong. Many big names have changed uniforms so far. The YANKEES re-signed free agent Aaron Judge and signed a top of the rotation starter in free agent Carlos Rodon.
As I told all the WIN METHOD fans in my July 5, 2022 blogpost, Aaron Judge was not going to sign with any other team but the YANKEES. Attaining Rodon is a fine upgrade to the starting rotation. With the addition of Rodon, the rotation is more balanced with three right handed starters and two left handed starters. Cole, Cortes, Rodon, Louie Louie, and Montas.
With Benintendi lost to free agency there is an opening in left field, I would think and hope the YANKEES will give Oswaldo Cabrera every chance to earn and then hold the left field position. Then there is the infield to deal with. First base as of now is the only infield position set in stone. Anthony Rizzo has first base locked up. There may or may not be a deal coming this winter to help decide the infield spots at second base, third base, and shortstop. But the YANKEES have an abundance of bodies in LeMahieu, Torres, Peraza, Kiner-Falefa, Donaldson, and possible even Volpe to fill the three positions. How things shake out during the winter break and then spring training will eventually tell the story.
The bullpen has many arms and should be no issue throughout the 2023 season, There are a couple of youngsters in the minors who are still developing and who knows just when the light bulb goes off for them and they are ready to make an impact at the major league level.
At the catcher position. Personally, I am looking forward to seeing what left handed hitting catcher Ben Rortvedt will bring to the team. Rortvedt may provide a big surprise. I would think the YANKEES will not carry three catchers and either Trevino or Higashioka will be gone.
In the minor leagues the YANKEES have a bunch of fine looking youngsters at all positions, as WIN METHOD as they can be, how they bloom and grow over time will determine their ultimate value.
WIN METHOD fans, I can't say this often enough. You are the smartest and most knowledgeable baseball fans in the world. You make fans at all the other blogs, sites, forums, or whatever look silly. «Oldest ‹Older 1801 – 2000 of 2034 Newer› Newest»German on tap for tomorrow series finale as Yanks go for the three game sweep.
Calhoun running to first on his last at bat injures quadriceps. Likely headed for the DL. Cabrera to be called back up? Gives Yanks an excuse to play Stanton some more, UGH.
Some inclement weather in nyc tomorrow.
Need German to rebound from his poor performance in last start. Still need to produce more runs and support starters more authoratively.
Todays Yankee lineup.
Domingo German (R) P
1. DJ LeMahieu (R) 2B
2. Gleyber Torres (R) DH
3. Anthony Rizzo (L) 1B

7. Harrison Bader (R) CF
8. Kyle Higashioka (R) C
9. Anthony Volpe (R) SS
Double down whammy, not only is Stanton in the lineup he is also in right field.
So a better hitting and fielding left handed bat sits so Stanton can make a fool of himself over and over.
German worse this start than his lousy last start. Leave after only going 3 1/3 innings and allowing 10 runs. Yankee defense with 3 errors. Yankee lineup with 0 hits.
Final. Yankees lose 10-2. German and Yankees humiliated.
The Stanton/Donaldson failure watch. Both 0-3 tonight. Stanton with a and double play grounder. Donaldson with a fielding error.
Texas Rangers come to Stadium for a three game weekend series. Schmidt, Louie Louie and Cole Yankee starters.
Rain likely to interfere with game tonight.
Todays Yankee lineup.
Clarke Schmidt (R) P
1. Jake Bauers (L) RF
2. Gleyber Torres (R) 2B
3. Giancarlo Stanton (R) DH

6. Isiah Kiner-Falefa (R) CF
7. Billy McKinney (L) LF

Stanton play again, Donaldson out. Boone by playing Stanton is hurting the team. Any other player on the bench can do better than Stanton.
As of now the rain is skirting the city on the western side and looks as if it will not cause any issues with tonight's game,
1-1 after 4.
Seven innings in the books. 1-1. Schmidt went 5 1/3 innings giving up the 1 Texas run which was unearned scoring on an error by IKF.
2-2 after nine. On to little league extra innings fools baseball.
Extra inning tied at two. Well we are playing one of the best teams in baseball with a strong solid lineup and have matched them for nine innings and we are playing with a crippled team.
Final. Yankees lose 4-2 in ten innings. Schmidt was solid going 5 1/3 innings giving up 1 unearned run. Holmes and King fail in 8th and 10th innings to lose the game. King takes the loss. Lineup fail again, Stanton 0-4 and no solid contact and a K. A major black hole in the lineup.
Yanks bite the dust in ten innings 4-0. OK, time to use the hatchet, Stanton 0-4 again. Donaldson pinch hits and strikeouts. They both do not belong in the lineup. Neither is an asset and neither helps the team. I lean to burning at the stake. 🔥😊🔥
Another tough loss 4-2 in ten innings. A game that could have been won, but when you are playing hurt and short things don't seem to go your way.
Can someone explain why Boone would use Donaldson who is hitting .127 on the season to pinch hit for McKinney in the tenth inning who is hitting .319 is 1-3 in this game with an rbi, and who has hit home runs in the last two games. Plus being left handed McKinney has the advantage of the short porch???????
Donaldson struck out and as usual looked terrible, old, and over matched.
Laura Koehler, I will answer your question with a comment. If Boone felt or thought Donaldson was a better option than McKinney in that situation, then Boone should not be managing this team.
Louie Louie tomorrow to even series. If he doesn't sharply improve over his last few starts, tomorrow will be a nightmare for the Yankees.
Four oclock game today. A loss means another series loss, making the hole a little bit deeper. We need an infusion of our injured bodies, Judge, Rodon, Cortes, etc. Then cut bait on the black holes Stanton and Donaldson.
Todays Yankee lineup.
Luis Severino (R)
1. Jake Bauers (L) RF
2. Gleyber Torres (R) 2B
3. Harrison Bader (R) CF
4. Anthony Rizzo (L) 1B
5. Giancarlo Stanton (R) DH
6. Billy McKinney (L) LF
7. Isiah Kiner-Falefa (R) 3B
8. Kyle Higashioka (R) C
9. Anthony Volpe (R) SS
Luis Luis is the key. Six innings one run is needed. Stanton still plays, and for no good reason. He is cooked physically and mentally.
WIN METHOD had said that Judge could be out for a very long time. Being a right handed hitter, when he swings the bat he pivots on his right foot. His injured right toe would be taking punishment on every swing. If the toe is not completely healed he could end his career. His injury might be the worst there can be for a hitter and if the damage changes his swing, could be devastating.
0-0 after 2.
Louie Louie does his job and some. Comes up BIG! Goes six scoreless innings and leaves with the Yankees up 1-0.
Yankees pull a cat out of the hat. Win 1-0 in a edge of your seat nail biter.
Final. Yankees win 1-0. German goes six scoreless innings and earns the win. Kahnle, Peralta, Holmes work scoreless 7th and 8th innings and each gets a hold. Marinaccio a scoreless 9th for the save. McKinney home run the only run of the game for the win. Last night Boone pinch hit for McKinney with Donaldson, how foolish.
Only two games, it sure looks as if the Yankees can compete with any team. Despite having lost the most players missing the most games with injury.
With the win today, gives Yanks a chance to take series against the Rangers. Cole on the mound, and needs to do what an ace does.
The eighth and ninth innings from the bullpen surely made your heart race. In both innings the bullpen put the first two batters on base. First and second, no outs, in both innings, and got out of trouble both times with no runs scoring.
What BIGTIMEYANKEE posted above is fact. Do not doubt WIN METHOD. Pick up a bat and take a swing, you will finish the swing pivoting on your back foot and ending on your toe that is pivoting. Big toe ligament injuries can be devastating for baseball players.
No one mentioned Bauers throwing out a runner at home plate throwing a strike on the fly from right filed to nail the runner at home. Bauers and McKinney need to be in the lineup everyday. With maybe one or the other getting a game off against a left handed pitcher.
Todays Yankee lineup.
Gerrit Cole (R) P
1. Gleyber Torres (R) 2B
2. Harrison Bader (R) CF
3. Anthony Rizzo (L) 1B
4. Giancarlo Stanton (R) DH
5. Jake Bauers (L) RF
6. DJ LeMahieu (R) 3B
7. Billy McKinney (L) LF
8. Anthony Volpe (R) SS
9. Jose Trevino (R) C
If Cole and the bullpen do what Louie Louie and the bullpen did yesterday, we win. Now for Stanton, he did get a seeing eye groundball through the infield for a single, while grounding out and striking out. So Boone keeps playing him. Whether Stanton goes on a hot streak or not for a few weeks, he is washed up.
If Boone had an original thought, how about this lineup today.
1. Torres 2B
2. McKinney LF
3. Bader CF
4. Rizzo 1B
5. LeMahieu 3B
6. Bauers RF
7, Volpe SS
8. Rortvedt C
9. IKF DH
A roster move would need to be made to move Rortvedt up -OR- you could chuck DFA Donaldson. WIN WIN. Bings up another lefty bat and cleans up the infield by getting rid of the most worthless piece.
Jill Byrnes, your lineup is better than what Boone has been using. Plus, your roster move is common sense and logical. That goes against the Cashman grain and would not be acceptable by Cashman. He is running the show.
Jill Byrnes for manager. Good thought process.
AMERICAN AI - artificial intelligence. What you will get from it? How great the joe-bame/commie MALADY administration is. How great the radical leftwing liberal democrats are. In other words, lies, deceit, corruption, and criminal behavior. Communism and socialism are great and China is great.
CHINESE AI - artificial intelligence. What you will get from it? How great the joe-bame/commie MALADY administration is. How great the radical leftwing liberal democrats are. In other words, lies, deceit, corruption, and criminal behavior. Communism and socialism are great and China is great.
It took Cole just two batters to give up a run. Leadoff double followed by rbi single. Hope that's it for the game.
Torres does it again. After a leadoff double, he has another base running blunder, getting doubled up off second on an infield popup he thought would fall in.
As I write Cole gives up a top of second lead off home run. Yanks down 2-0.
Yanks down 3-2 after 4.
Cole with 107 pitches only goes 4 2/3 innings. Gives up 3 runs on 9 hits, struggled and grinded all game. Leaves down 3-2.
Yankee 3 run 8th sparked by Bader 2 RBI double puts Yankees up 5-3. Need 3 outs.
Theeeeeeeee Yankeeeeeeeeeeeeeees Winnnnnnnnnnn. 5-3. Needed that. Taking 2 of 3 from one of the best teams in baseball.
Final. Yankees win 5-3 and take Ranger series 2 games to 1. Cole gave up all 3 Ranger runs in 4 2/3 innings that he grinded thru. Cordero worked an inning of scoreless relief followed by Ramirez who went 1 1/3 innings. Marinaccio worked a scoreless 8th inning to earn the win after earning the save in yesterday's game. King with a scoreless 9th for the save. LeMahieu 2 RBI double and Bader game winning RBI double were the biggest hits. Stanton showing a small semblance of life with a walk and RBI insurance single. These guys are hanging in there and the team is not giving up. Off day tomorrow. Hard worked bullpen can regroup.
One heck of an exciting win today. Never give up.
will-i-am and Izy, only the losers give up. Go to the Yankee forum at the nyyfan forum, you will see so called Yankee fans ripping the organization from top to bottom. They are the bottom feeders and lowest type of fans. It is sure great to see the fans packing the Stadium so often.
OPTIMISM -- Carlos Rodon made his second rehab start with the Somerset Patriots this afternoon. All positive news. He went four innings throwing 48 pitches with 36 being strikes. 0 runs, 0 walks, 1 hit. Likely, at least one more start and 60-70 pitches.
Rodon if able to perform at his high level would be a gigantic boost the the rotation and bullpen.
Two weeks to all star break. Yankee schedule, off day tomorrow, then three games in Oakland T,W.H. Travel to St Louis for three games F,S N. Come home for four games with the Orioles M,T,W,H. And finally three games with the Cubs F,S,N. Then all star break.
I would think Rodon will start for the Yankees once or twice before the all star break.
Brito, German, and Schmidt listed for the A's series.
Six road games over two, three game series. Win both series and come on home.
Rotation for post All Star game. Based on health/injury -- In no specific order, Cole, Cortes, German, Rodon, Schmidt, Severino. That is six possibilities. Likely will be five rotation. Then there are Brito and Vasquez, waiting, both showing they can compete at the MLB level. Last, Montas?
Trade/deal maybe for a strong left handed bat??
HerecomestheJudge, trade an infielder, a starter, a reliever and a catcher for a good left handed bat. if there is one out there to be had.
The Yankee starters are always on the hot seat every start they make. Because the lineup does not score many runs as it is not constituted. Judge being sidelined is the issue, he is a massive force in the lineup, Bauers and McKinney have helped a lot. Bader coming back from injury has helped. But then there is the dredge like Donaldson, who when he is in the lineup, hurts the team.
Todays Yankee lineup.
Jhony Brito (R) P
1. DJ LeMahieu (R) 2B
2. Harrison Bader (R) CF
3. Anthony Rizzo (L) 1B
4. Giancarlo Stanton (R) DH
5. Jake Bauers (L) RF
6. Josh Donaldson (R) 3B
7. Billy McKinney (L) LF
8. Anthony Volpe (R) SS
9. Jose Trevino (R) C
Donaldson plays, for absolutely no reason but foolish naivety. Hope he does something positive to help the team.
As always, if Brito keeps it close we can win and hang close in the race.
Yankee bats silent. Trail 2-0 thru four.
Donaldson leads off fifth with HR for Yanks first run of game, and trail 2-1.
Final. Yankees lose 2-1. In an anemic pathetic display by the Yankee lineup tonight , they score one run on a solo home run from Donaldson, but failed at every opportunity to produce anything when it mattered most the entire game. Brito take the loss going 5 1/3 innings and giving up both A's runs. Yankee bullpen went 2 2/3 innings of scoreless pitching. Very sad. Stanton awful again.
So disappointed with last night's game. One stinking run. That will earn you last place. Not one hit when it mattered most. Failure after failure. The game of baseball has deteriorated over the decades. I miss the base hits, the bigger ballparks where there were triples and even inside the park home runs. Players not running, not in shape to run. Muscle bound statues of ineptitude. Gutless commissioners. Overpaid underachievers paid millions for failure. Yet, so many brain-dead brain washed fans call them great players. Players who don't help their teams to success. How hard the ball is hit, exit velocity, launch angle, how far a ball is hit, all Barbara Streisand. Wins are all that matters.
With last night's loss, the Yankees need to win the next two games to win this series against the worst team in baseball. The Yankees need to clean house. Hal Steinbrenner need to get off the pot and put WIN METHOD in charge. -- Sorry for the rant and sorry WIN METHOD for invoking your name. However, it looks as if Hal either doesn't care and/or does not know what he is doing.
In regards to Donaldson -- I've never seen anyone who is such a pure guess hitter. He's going to run into one occasionally. He's not a major league caliber player anymore. He needs to be gone, now. Bring Peraza up, now. Stanton is really close to being in the same sinking boat as Donaldson.
Biden giving a speech in Chicago. He is talking "Bidenomics". He is lying about everything in every way. He is telling people how great he is, all the great things he has done, and great the average American is doing.
He is the most corrupt politician America has ever seen, and his family of living scum is part of his corruption. Biden has corrupted all of America. He is a disgusting human piece of feces. "Bidenomics" means I get rich and you get poorer. If you lie for me, if you cheat for me, if you corrupt for me, you will get rich too. If you fight me, challenge me, go after me, I will destroy you, your family, and your life.
Stop this criminal low life degenerate, his family, his associates, and his supporters.
Wake up America.
Last night still really bums me out. Was hoping for a 5-1 road trip based on a sweep at Oakland and 2 wins at St. Louis. A lackluster pathetic effort last night.
I remember years of double digit .300 plus hitters each season, contact hitters, great hitters.
Right now in 2023 we have 9 .300 hitters.
Three hundred hitters for the entire season.
1953 = 27
1963 = 15
1973 = 16
1983 = 26

MAGA 2024 wake up America, I agree, right on, the leftwing liberal democrat cancer must be cut out.
Todays Yankee lineup.

1. DJ LeMahieu (R) 2B
2. Gleyber Torres (R) DH
3. Anthony Rizzo (L) 1B
4. Giancarlo Stanton (R) RF

7. Isiah Kiner-Falefa (R) LF
8. Kyle Higashioka (R) C
9. Anthony Volpe (R) SS
Oh my. The statue in RF. Done at 3B. Better players and bats sitting on the bench. If German doesn't bounce back with a quality effort Yanks are in trouble. Nonetheless, the game is played on the field where when you produce when it matters most, you can win.
Produce when it matters most and you can win. Last night, not one time did the Yankees produce when it mattered most, so they lost. The A's produced once when it mattered most and they won. Baseball is a simple game, when it is played to the right way and for the team to win.
sid greenberg, nyc, you should be happy with tonight's game. An old fashioned baseball inning by the Yankees. Scored six runs, walk, six singles - one a bunt, and a double. Take a 7-0 lead mid fifth.
German has been special thru six innings so far. Pitching a shutout and got run support.
German pitches a perfect game. 27 batters, 27 outs. No Oakland A's hitter reached base. Yankees win 11-0.
Only the 24th perfect game in the history of MLB. Last one in 2012.
Perfect game from German 27 for 27. Yanks win laugher 11-0. Rubber game of series tomorrow.
German throws a perfect game as Yankees win 11-0.
Final. Yankees win 11-0. Yankee starter Domingo German was the only pitcher used by the Yankee. He went all nine innings and not one Oakland batter reached base, in other words, German just pitched a perfect game. It was just the twenty-fourth perfect game in the history of major league baseball. Stanton with a solo HR, the only HR of the game. The other 10 runs came on, as sid greenberg, nyc would say, good old fashioned baseball. As Mel Allen would say, "how about that".
Nice win and a great bounce back win from German after a couple of poor games. Hope he keeps it up.
I'm so excited and happy for German, hope I can fall asleep.
Just what the team needed, an awe inspiring event. A feel-good memory that will go down in the history books of baseball. Now to finish off this series tomorrow.
Something to build on. A positive. Looking forward to the rest of this season and the pennant drive to the finish line. As each body returns and helps.
3:30 game time tomorrow also known as today since the clock turned over. Schmidt starter. Keep the out streak going.
German perfect and no sticky fingers. Some times the stars align just right
No let downs, finish off this series and head to St. Louis.
I likely would have went to bed when the Yankees took a big lead mid game last night, but German not giving up a hit kept me watching. Glad I did, and got to see a perfect game, a very rare feat to say the least.
Ryan Ruocco nailed his call of the final out of Domingo German's Perfect Game.
Last night, New York Yankees pitcher Domingo German, threw a perfect game against the Oakland Athletics. It was only the 24th perfect game in Major League Baseball history and the first since 2012. Ryan Ruocco was filling in for Michael Kay as the play-by-play announce for the YES Network and absolutely killed it on the final out.
It must be impossibly hard to keep one's composure when announcing history as it unfolds before your very eyes. But Ruocco kept it steady, took it slow, and hit peak excitement at just the right time. Just as importantly, he let the viewers bask in the moment by falling silent for nearly 30 seconds while the camera zoomed in on the Yankees going nuts and the crowd cheering for the feat they witnessed. Then, when the time was right, he painted a picture of the historical significance of the moment.
It was a great call and his silence after last out added to the picture of German's Yankee teammates racing to the mound in celebration. A great memory.
Todays Yankee lineup.
Clarke Schmidt (R) P
1. DJ LeMahieu (R) 2B
2. Gleyber Torres (R) DH
3. Anthony Rizzo (L) 1B
4. Giancarlo Stanton (R) RF
5. Harrison Bader (R) CF
6. Josh Donaldson (R) 3B
7. Isiah Kiner-Falefa (R) LF
8. Anthony Volpe (R) SS
9. Jose Trevino (R) C
Lefty starter - righty lineup. Pitch and hit like yesterday, equals a win and a series win. I loved what German did yesterday. An extremely rare event in baseball.
Yanks down 3-2 after 4.
The 'Statue' and 'Done' are showing some signs of life.
Yankees score 8 times in top of sixth to take 10-3 lead. Everyone contributed.
Yanks head to St. Louis for a three game weekend series. It was nice to get Hamilton back into the bullpen today. He tossed a scoreless inning.
Louie Louie and Cole in first two games with Cardinals. Vasquez possible for Sunday.
ex-Yankee starter Montgomery (Monty) will start on Sunday for the Cardinals. Hope the Yankees have two wins in the bank by Sunday.
Todays Yankee lineup.
Luis Severino (R) P
1. DJ LeMahieu (R) 1B
2. Gleyber Torres (R) 2B
3. Giancarlo Stanton (R) DH
4. Harrison Bader (R) CF
5. Josh Donaldson (R) 3B
6. Isiah Kiner-Falefa (R) LF
7. Billy McKinney (L) RF
8. Anthony Volpe (R) SS
9. Kyle Higashioka (R) C
Eight righty bats against a left again. Rizzo out and McKinney in. Produce when it matters most, pitchers and hitters.
Perfect time for Rizzo day off after getting hit by pitch in left elbow yesterday.
Delayed start -- weather --
Game canceled. Two games tomorrow, 2:15 and 7:15.
Play tomorrow one game at a time. Win first game and then play the second game from in front.
Updated Yankee rotation for Cardinal series.... Today, Louie Louie 1st game, Peralta 2nd game. Tomorrow, Cole.
The Supreme Court of the United State of America slams down the criminal and corrupt joe-bama/commie MALADY administration and the radical leftwing liberal democrat scum who support them. God bless America. Everyone have a great fourth of July.
Todays Yankee game one lineup.
Luis Severino (R) P
1. DJ LeMahieu (R) 1B
2. Jake Bauers (L) LF
3. Gleyber Torres (R) 2B
4. Anthony Rizzo (L) DH
5. Isiah Kiner-Falefa (R) CF
6. Billy McKinney (L) RF
7. Anthony Volpe (R) SS
8. Oswaldo Cabrera (S) 3B
9. Kyle Higashioka (R) C
Facing a right handed pitcher in game one. Rizzo at DH. Stanton and Donaldson sit for game one.
Hope everyone has a great long July 4th weekend and more. Eat drink and be merry. Root root root for the Yankees.
Severino crashes and burns giving up 5 runs in third inning, putting Yanks in hole 5-0.
Louie Louie looks like he is throwing batting practice again. Line drive after line drive. Three run HR in 3rd. Two run HR in 4th. Yankees trail 7-0. That is a big hole to climb out of.
No worry, no sweat, no edge of you seat game this afternoon. But it is going to be a loss.
Rain delay mid seventh down 11-1. Just call it and get ready to try for the 7:15 game.
Rodon's start tonight for Hudson Valley, 3 2/3 innings, 58 pitches 38 strikes 0 runs 1 hit 2 walks 8 K's.
The first game is resuming with the Cardinals coming to bat in 8th inning leading 11-1. Pitching for the Yankees, Josh Donaldson. Ground out to second base. Fly out to center. Fly out to center. Perfect inning. As Michael Kay would say, "do the Yankees have a rally in their bones?"
Another Manfred rule? games have to be played to the end? After hours of a rain delay in a rout?
Over Yanks lose 11-4 instead of 11-1. More meaningless stats for the stat frauds to drool over.
Final. Yankees lose 11-4. Louie Louie lambasted and looked terrible giving up 9 runs. Bats silent until scoring 3 totally meaningless runs in the 9th inning. Highlight of game, Donaldson pitching a 1,2,3 eighth inning. Better luck in game two.
Todays Yankee game 2 lineup.
Ian Hamilton (R) P
1. DJ LeMahieu (R) DH
2. Gleyber Torres (R) 2B
3. Giancarlo Stanton (R) LF
4. Anthony Rizzo (L) 1B
5. Harrison Bader (R) CF
6. Josh Donaldson (R) 3B
7. Isiah Kiner-Falefa (R) RF
8. Anthony Volpe (R) SS
9. Jose Trevino (R) C
This lineup has been scoring. Do it again. Bullpen game for Yanks.
Yankees 3-2 thru five.
Final. Yanks win 6-2. Yankees use six pitchers in a bullpen game with King earning the win. Hamilton and Mariinaccio each gave up a run in their 2 2/3 innings. King, Peralta, Kahnle, and Holmes worked the final 6 1/3 innings allowing just in hit and 0 runs. Five Yankees had rbi's. LeMahieu, Trevino, Volpe, Bader, and Torres 2.
The dredge of the game was Donaldson who contributed nothing, going 0-4 and striking out with the bases loaded in the first inning.
Good win but closer than the 6-2 score would indicate. Yanks scored 3 times in the 9th. Cole tomorrow for a chance to take series and finish road trip 4-2.
I guess we will see Yankee right handed lineup against Monty today.
Todays Yankee lineup.
Gerrit Cole (R) P
1. DJ LeMahieu (R) 3B
2. Gleyber Torres (R) 2B
3. Giancarlo Stanton (R) DH
4. Harrison Bader (R) CF
5. Isiah Kiner-Falefa (R) RF
6. Anthony Volpe (R) SS
7. Jake Bauers (L) 1B
8. Jose Trevino (R) C
9. Oswaldo Cabrera (S) LF
Sweet. No Donaldson. Rizzo and Bauers at 1B. Bauers has played 1B while in minors. Take this series, lets go Yankees.
Lets give Monty a big hello with walks, hits, runs and send him off to an early shower. Hope, hope, hope,
0-0 after 2.
Yankees trail 2-0 after five innings and do not have a hit off Monty.
Final. Yankees lose 5-1. Cole loses to Monty. Yankee bats no hits for first five innings. Lose series, split six games on road trip. Both unacceptable.
From game to game you never know what you will get from the Yankee lineup. Yankees need a shot in the arm or a kick in the behind.
Four games with the Orioles coming up. A split means little and takes four games off the schedule. A series loss hurts.
Yankee pitchers for O's series as of now, German, Schmidt, TBD, and Louie Louie.
Happy 4th. Celebrate in peace. Let the democrat liberal radical leftwing scum riot, destroy, and kill.
Todays Yankee lineup.

8. Anthony Volpe (R) SS
9. Kyle Higashioka (R) C
Right handed lineup against a right handed pitcher. A change of tactics?
Contact, you need to make contact, strikeouts are as useless as stat frauds.
Yanks down 3-0 after 4.
Volpe and Higashioka back to back home runs in fifth inning cut into Oriole lead. Yanks down 3-2.
Bader 3 run home run in 8th for a 5-3 lead. First three batters, Stanton single, Rizzo single and Bader's home run.
Theeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Yankeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees Winnnnnnnnnnn. Down 3-0 the Yankees came all the way back for a 6-3 win. Volpe, Higashioka each with a solo HR and Bader the game winning 3 run HR in the eighth.
Final. Yankees win 6-3. It didn't look good early as the Yankee fell behind 3-0, but they came all the way back on Volpe and Higashioka home runs, the tying run on a passed ball, and then the grande fianle, a three run home run from Bader in the bottom of the eighth. German went 4 1/3 allowing all 3 Baltimore runs. Ramirez with 1 2/3 perfect innings. Hamilton a scoreless inning. Kahnle a scoreless inning for the win. Holmes a perfect inning for the save. Nice to win game one of this series. Need more however.
Hung in there, didn't give up and the bullpen was golden again with 4 2/3 scoreless innings.
Happy Fourth of July. Lets go Yankees. Do it again.
Happy 4th of July/ GOD bless America. Let's go Yankees.
"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

Todays Yankee lineup. Happy Fourth of July Yankee fans.
Clarke Schmidt (R) P
1. Anthony Rizzo (L) 1B
2. Gleyber Torres (R) 2B
3. Giancarlo Stanton (R) DH
4. Jake Bauers (L) RF
5. Harrison Bader (R) CF
6. Anthony Volpe (R) SS
7. Isiah Kiner-Falefa (R) 3B
8. Oswaldo Cabrera (S) LF
9. Jose Trevino (R) C
Rizzo lead off. Donaldson out.
Rain delay!
Yankees lead 3-0 thru four on the fourth.
Yanks cling to a 4-3 lead after six.
Trevino home run and Bader (again) two out 2 RBI double give Yankees 7-3 lead after seven innings.
What a nice win today. Two more to go would be a cornucopia. One more would be great.
Final. Yankees win 8-4. Schmidt goes 5 innings allowing 3 runs and earns the win. Marinaccio, Peralta, and Kahnle each go 1 inning of scoreless ball. Abreu works the 9th allowing 1 run. Torres 2 run HR. Bader 2 RBI double, Trevino solo HR, Stanton RBI single, IKF RBI sac fly, and Rizzo RBI ground out.
Vasquez starting for Yankees tomorrow.
If you are a Yankee fan, and if you want to learn and know baseball, this is the best site in the world to read and post in.
When you talk baseball with other fans, be very leery of those who quote man made subjective stats which are totally useless.
All you need is the WIN METHOD blog.
Biden likely violated First Amendment during COVID-19 pandemic, federal judge says.
A U.S. District Court judge is temporarily preventing White House officials from meeting with tech companies about social media censorship, arguing that such actions in the past were likely First Amendment violations.
The Tuesday injunction by Louisiana Judge Terry A. Doughty was in response to recent lawsuits from Louisiana and Missouri attorneys general. The suits allege that the White House coerced or "significantly encourage[d]" tech companies to suppress free speech during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Doughty is barring several federal officials and agencies – including some of Biden's Cabinet members and White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre – from contacting social media companies in efforts to suppress speech.
Google, Meta and Twitter were all named in the
The injunction, which was obtained by Fox News, states that the government's actions "likely violate the Free Speech Clause" and that the court "is not persuaded by Defendants’ arguments," dealing a significant blow to the White House.
"During the COVID-19 pandemic, a period perhaps best characterized by widespread doubt and uncertainty, the United States Government seems to have assumed a role similar to an Orwellian ‘Ministry of Truth,’" Doughty wrote.
"If the allegations made by Plaintiffs are true, the present case arguably involves the most massive attack against free speech in United States’ history," the injunction adds. "In their attempts to suppress alleged disinformation, the Federal Government, and particularly the Defendants named here, are alleged to have blatantly ignored the First Amendment’s right to free speech."
The injunction also claims that "the censorship alleged in this case almost exclusively targeted conservative speech," but that issues the case raises are "beyond party lines."
"Viewpoint discrimination is an especially egregious form of content discrimination," Doughty argued. "The government must abstain from regulating speech when the specific motivating ideology or the perspective of the speaker is the rationale for the restriction."

For the life of me I cannot believe the joe-bama/commie MALADY administration is still breathing.
Warren Hammond, the most corrupt and criminal presidential administration in history. Everyone who associates with, believes in, supports or funds any radical leftwing liberal democrat politician or organization is a threat to all hard working Americans of every race, creed and color who believe in personal freedoms, school choice, equal opportunity for all based on merit, the constitution, liberty for all, justice for all.

MORE ON: HUNTER BIDEN
Hunter Biden prosecutor who approved first son’s plea deal worked with ex-FBI chief
Comer blasts Biden’s ‘family values’ talk, says he’s responsible for ‘terrible’ Hunter
Cut through Delaware US Attorney David Weiss’ evasions and Attorney General Merrick Garland’s posturing, and it looks like both of them are to blame for Hunter Biden skating irrevocably on the most serious tax charges he should’ve faced.
Weiss chose the Friday before the long holiday weekend to publicly admit 1) he never had the power to charge Hunter for most of his alleged crimes; 2) the Joe Biden-appointed US attorneys for DC and Southern California (who did have the power) refused, and 3) to get the power, he needed Garland to make him a special prosecutor.
He never said he had asked for it, though.
And Garland has dodged completely, only denouncing all the questions about this blatant miscarriage of justice as unpatriotic attacks on the Justice Department.
Did Weiss ask?
The whistleblowers say he claimed he had, but got turned down.
If so, was that by Garland or some subordinate?
Did Garland know that key US attorneys had refused to indict Hunter?
Or did he not want to know?
We do know that no charges ever got filed in DC before the statute of limitations kicked in, shielding Hunter from prosecution over his nonpayment of taxes on his Burisma windfall.
And the plea deal Weiss offered the first son will keep him out of prison on the rest — unless the courts, as they should, refuse to OK it.
At least as important, whistleblower testimony indicates that one of Weiss’ top aides, Assistant US Attorney Lesley Wolf, during the Trump years repeatedly shut down all lines of investigation that pointed toward Joe Biden’s possible involvement as well as interfering with efforts to gather more evidence on Hunter.
Was Weiss aware of that?
And what’s his explanation for his office’s failure to take up ex-Hunter partner Tony Bobulinski’s offer to provide evidence?
When Garland waxes furious over claims that Justice doesn’t “treat like cases alike,” he must be comparing the Hunter case only to other investigations of top Democrats and their families.
Then again, “You should be used to this reek by now” isn’t much of a defense.
Guys and gals, thank you for your articles. The leftwing democrats must be stopped and stopped forever. They surely are corrupt and criminals as they follow the lead of their tyrannical leaders of the joe-bama/commie MALADY administration.
Wake up America, save yourself, because if you don't you will regret what you will get.
Yankee reliever Jimmy Cordero has been suspended by MLB for the rest of the 2023 baseball season for domestic abuse violations. Cordero will not get paid for the rest of the season.
As an aside, this will open a spot for someone on the 40 man roster. Cordero a decent relief pitcher, albeit possibly the Yankees least reliable, will not hurt the Yankees playoff chances.
One mans failure open an opportunity for another man.
Todays Yankee lineup.
Randy Vasquez (R) P
1. Anthony Rizzo (L) 1B
2. Gleyber Torres (R) DH
3. Giancarlo Stanton (R) RF
4. Jake Bauers (L) LF
5. Josh Donaldson (R) 3B
6. DJ LeMahieu (R) 2B
7. Isiah Kiner-Falefa (R) CF
8. Anthony Volpe (R) SS
9. Kyle Higashioka (R) C
Donaldson in again. Will he produce tonight or fail again? Bader out.
A repeat of last two games would be fine. Vasquez pitches great and leaves with a lead, the bullpen does what it does best, and the lineup produces when it matters most.
WIN METHOD, doing promotions now? Love ya,
Lets go Yankees.
0-0 after 4.
Vasquez goes five scoreless innings and leaves game with a 2-0 lead on Donaldson HR and Higashioka when it matters most RBI single in the fifth inning.
Final. Yankees lose 6-3. Yankee bullpen failed big time and lost game. Vasquez started and went five scoreless innings and left game leading 2-0. Ramirez in and allows 3 runs in 1/3 inning and takes loss. King followed going 2 2/3 innings and allowing 1 run. Hamilton worked final inning giving up 2 runs. So all three Yankee relievers tonight gave up runs. The Yankee three runs came on solo HRs from Donaldson and Volpe with the third run on a Higashioka RBI single. Final game of this four game series and Yankees need to win in order to win the series.
Very disappointing loss, especially after taking a 2-0 lead and Vasquez giving us every chance to win with five scoreless inning. Bullpen blew it big time. Maybe the plus is all three relievers gave up runs in the same game.
Louie Louie tomorrow.
Louie Louie can be a hero today by stepping up and shooting down the Orioles and earning a win for the Yankees.
Cocaine in the White House? No way. Naked women showing their breasts on the White House lawn? No way. A demented corrupt criminal president in the White House? No way. A president in the White House denying his grandchild? No way. A presidential family getting rich by committing treachery, treason, and selling out America in the White House? ::::::::: YES WAY! It's Joe Biden and the Biden family of credent's..
Gloria LaCorte, how many times have so many said it before, the joe-bama/commie MALADY administration is the scum of America, and their goal is to fundamentally destroy America and the American peoples morals.
Todays Yankee lineup.
Luis Severino (R) P
1. Anthony Volpe (R) SS
2. Gleyber Torres (R) 2B
3. Anthony Rizzo (L) DH
4. Harrison Bader (R) CF
5. Josh Donaldson (R) 3B
6. Billy McKinney (L) RF
7. DJ LeMahieu (R) 1B
8. Isiah Kiner-Falefa (R) LF
9. Jose Trevino (R) C
Volpe lead off again. No Stanton. Louie Louie can make or break the game, We need to score.
Winning tonite is big. A win allows to get two games closer to the Orioles. A less means four games played with no movement up or down.
Deivi Garcia called up and Vasquez sent back down after his great five innings last night.
Zhedo, 13+ million more employed under Joltin' Joe plus highest GDP growth and lowest inflation out of ANY G7 country. That is not a MALADY, that is a MIRACLE.
Joltin' Joe Biden
Joe, Joe Biden
We want you on our side
He'll live in USA's Hall of Fame
He got there blow by blow
Our kids will tell their kids his name
Joltin' Joe Biden!
I read a post in this blog several weeks ago about how the Yankees are hanging in the pennant race considering the mass amount of player game time lost this season. It is a tribute to the players contributing when it matters most, the pitching staff and the position players. Kudos.
Regarding Volpe, when he is stealing or trying for an extra base he goes head first to the base. I see the defenders blocking the base with their knee on the ground and their leg blocking the base from knee to foot. Volpe needs to go in feet first with spikes sharpened, and when the defender is blocking the base, go in with his spikes just high enough off the ground to tear into the defender anywhere between his ankle and knee. That will quickly dissuade defenders from blocking the base.
Woody/Atlanta, good old fashioned baseball the way baseball was played the right way, when men were men and women were women. Not anymore.
Yanks down 1-0 after 2.
Louie Louie is toast. He has gotten away lucky in the first two innings. Not in the third. Hard hit balls from the first Oriole batter in the first inning, second inning, and third inning. No outs in third and Yankees down 3-0.
Louie Louie game tonite.. 2 2/3 innings, faced 19 batters, got 8 outs, gave up 10 hits, 1 walk and 7 runs while throwing 77 pitches. He was hammered every inning. There is nothing good to say or to look forward to. He should not start again after the all-star game.
What a disaster tonight is. Positive, this is the best way to lose. At least we played even with a playoff team.
Yanks down 13-0 after 4.
Final. Yankees lose 14-1. Louie Louie was as bad as bad can be and he has been bad to often.. Is he done? It is hard to imagine someone who can throw upper 90's not being able to find a way out of the hole he dug for himself. Oh yeah, the Yankees scored their only run with two outs in the ninth on a fielding error.
Carlos Rodon makes his first start as a Yankee against the Cubs tomorrow, then Cole Saturday, and German Sunday. Last three games before the all star break. Need a weekend sweep to erase the memory of Severino tonight/
Drum roll. Rodon is scheduled to start his first game as a Yankee tonight. Then he will have a week to rest before his next start.
Grosner, I just read your latest comment.
What do your think of your hero Joe Biden's adherence to he has six grand children who he loves and adores, while his total failure at acknowledging his seventh grandchild a beautiful four year old little girl?
Tim Hergenraeder, Joe Biden is garbage, he has been garbage all his life. Not caring about your grandchild shows what he is. What he has done as president, economy, immigration, crime, corruption, criminal behavior, disdain and hate for America and the American people show what he is. Garbage! Utter garbage!! Yet people support him, and they are just as dangerous.
Bauers headed to the DL. Rotator cuff injury. Down goes another Yankee, a replacement for the replacement for the replacement.
The entire Biden family is morally corrupt and criminally complicit in crimes against America.
Joe Biden has brought all this to agencies and people in government and the highest government agencies. What is most disastrous is there are so many willing conspirators.
Final result: the end is getting closer and closer every day.
Todays Yankee lineup.
Carlos Rodon (L) P
1. Anthony Volpe (R) SS
2. Gleyber Torres (R) 2B
3. Anthony Rizzo (L) 1B
4. Giancarlo Stanton (R) DH
5. Harrison Bader (R) CF
6. Josh Donaldson (R) 3B
7. Billy McKinney (L) LF
8. Kyle Higashioka (R) C
9. Franchy Cordero (L) RF
Rodon Yankee debut. Franchy is back. Stanton and Donaldson are back.
Patiently waiting to see Rodon pitch tonight.
Yankees down 1-0 after 4.
Yankee bats shotting blanks. Trail 2-0 after five.
Rodon goes 5 1/3 allowing 2 runs and leaves trailing 2-0. Pitched real well but weakened in fifth. Threw 69 pitches. All in all it was a good first start.
Final. Yankees lose 3-0. An embarrassing loss for the offense. Rodon went 5 1/3 innings in his first start of the season. He could have pitched a perfect game and not have won. The Yankee offense produced two singles and two walks. Never had two men on base in any inning and never had a man scoring position. Wow is me.
Sometimes I wonder, do the Yankees hit the ball in batting practice? The Cub starter had a 6+ ERA and hasn't pitched into the 7th inning all season with a 2-6 record. Tonight he went 8 inning 2 hits and 2 walks and never a runner in scoring position. Sad night for the lineup.
After seeing the Yankee offense tonight and them playing through over half the players on the team being on the DL at one time or another this entire season so far, it is astounding that they are even in contention for the playoffs.
Cole today. The Yankees have not produced a run in their last two games. They scored one run over the last two games on an error in the ninth inning with two outs for their only run in a 14-1 loss.
Todays Yankee lineup.
Gerrit Cole (R) P
1. Anthony Volpe (R) SS
2. Gleyber Torres (R) 2B
3. Giancarlo Stanton (R) RF
4. Anthony Rizzo (L) 1B
5. Harrison Bader (R) CF
6. Josh Donaldson (R) DH
7. DJ LeMahieu (R) 3B
8. Isiah Kiner-Falefa (R) LF
9. Jose Trevino (R) C
Will the Yankees score a run, two, three, four? Will Cole win? Will the bullpen produce?
Stanton and Donaldson again. I guess I can accept this because a lefty is starting for the Cubs.
Stanton and Donaldson home runs put Yankees on top 2-0 after two innings.
Stanton second home run of game, with a runner on, gives Yankees 6-1 lead thru five innings.
Final. Yankees win 6-3. Even series with rubber game tomorrow. Cole goes 7 1/3 allowing 3 runs and earns the win. King finishes game off with 1 2/3 innings of scoreless ball and earns the save. Yankee lineup with some life today. Stanton a solo HR and a two run HR, Donaldson a solo HR and Bader a 2 rbi double for the Yankee runs.
German tomorrow with a chance to take the series. Then the All-Star break. Then the rest of the regular season.
Hoping Rodon and Cole feed off each other and also help the rest of the staff. Wins will win the division, and wins will get to the playoffs. Yes we can.
I think the Yankees are holding back on Cortes. Trying in ensure he is completely ready to go in August, with a rejuvenated arm for the pennant drive.
It will be interesting to see what happens to Louie Louie through the break. He hasn't lost velocity, but he sure as heck is getting smacked around.
Now Stanton starts to make contact, voila, one more game and we are into the break. Does he lose contact and or continue contact after the break?
Now if Rodon gets stronger and builds up, he and Cole are one heck of a 1-2 punch.
JUDGE --- at what point if at all does he return to the lineup? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?
Game today, then four off days off, followed by the the final 70 plus or minus games of the regular season. This is real baseball where only wins and winning will determine which players and which teams make the playoffs and play in the second season.
Todays Yankee lineup.
Domingo German (R) P
1. Gleyber Torres (R) 2B
2. Giancarlo Stanton (R) RF
3. Anthony Rizzo (L) 1B
4. Harrison Bader (R) CF
5. Josh Donaldson (R) DH
6. Billy McKinney (L) LF
7. DJ LeMahieu (R) 3B
8. Anthony Volpe (R) SS
9. Kyle Higashioka (R) C
Volpe dropped from leadoff spot after going 0-11 over three games. Stanton in 2 hole. German to keep us in game? Lineup scores multiple runs again?
