Greetings WIN METHOD baseball fans and those of you trying to save America from being destroyed by the people presently running/ruining America right now. Eight months is a long time between blog posts, but once this season got rolling, I didn't want to upset the applecart.
The 2022 season, what can I say? So far so good. This team seems to be on a mission and their goal is the World Series. The mid-point of the season seemed to be a good time to chime in. Having a thirteen-game lead on your closest competitor is a pretty good place to be in.
The YANKEE minor league teams have a great amount of up-and-coming talent developing through the system and should make for a consistent playoff team for many years to come. The loser fans who are not happy with making the playoffs consistently have issues to deal with in their thought process. Since the onset of the WIN METHOD, the YANKEES have been the winningest team in all of baseball and have never had a losing season. Unfortunately, no team can win the big prize all the time, and no team can even play for the big prize all the time, however, no team comes close to playing for and winning the World Series more than the YANKEES.
Here is a bit of information all WIN METHOD YANKEE fans should love hearing, here it is, Aaron Judge will finish his career in a New York YANKEE uniform.
Now, as the YANKEES continue through this season, it appears apparent to most YANKEE fans, the YANKEES need to do some tinkering with player personnel to upgrade the team in certain positions. Let me tell you, YANKEE management is well aware of these concerns and are addressing them. I cannot divulge who, how, where, when, and what will be done, because it is an ongoing process with many variables that must be considered and accounted for. Please remember fans, the YANKEES management makes the final decisions after hearing all input from many sources. Then after all is concluded, it always comes down to the performance of the players on the field when it matters and counts most. No individual stat of any player is more important than the team winning. Wins and winning are in the final analysis the determining factor in the best players and teams are every season.
The YANKEES have been playing .700 baseball so far this season and that is outstanding. Just playing .600 baseball for the rest of the season will carry them to the playoffs.

We know Boone/Yankees have more information than we do regarding players condition, etc. I just hope what I see as the decrease in defense, and hope it is not a factor in the game. If we follow the formula, starter keeps us in the game, the offense scores several runs, and bullpen does its job, we can win game one.
A possible seven game series with one scheduled off day. Manfred/MLB are imbeciles. You only have to look at the great post season extra inning games to see what we missed throughout the entire regular season.
So many people think the Yankees can't win this series, why? Because they are losers of life's lottery, quitters, under achievers, and people you don't want to work for you. The thing is, they have a 50/50 chance of being right.

Taillon goes 4 1/3 and leaves at 1-1. Schmidt in and crack in sixth giving up 2 home runs. Yanks down 3-1 after six.
Final. Yankee lose 4-2. Schmidt takes the loss giving up 2 solo home runs. Taillon started and allowed 1 run over 4 1/3 innings. Montas gave up a solo home run in one inning of work. Castro worked a 1,2,3 eighth inning and looked good. Yankee runs on solo home runs by Bader and Rizzo. Try again tomorrow.
Yankees lose it 4-2. Two big ifs. What if Stanton double hit like a bullet cleared the wall and the Yankees score the 2 runs. What if after Stanton's double putting men on 2nd and 3rd with one out, Donaldson doesn't strike out but gets the run n from 3rd even with an out, or better yet, gets a hit and they both score. Another if, what if Taillon with two out and a runner in scoring position in the second inning produces when it counts and get the third out instead of allowing the rbi hit. Would have been a much different game. That is why producing when it matters most defines who wins and who loses. Game after game.
Hope we come home with a split in Houston.
Carpenter struck all four at bats.
In my opinion, and this is easy to say after the game, but I thought the same before the game started. To me it seems extremely difficult for a player to come back from and injury and face ML pitchers. I would think it would take quite a few at bats, maybe 20 or more to even come close to being able to compete at that level. I have seen many players come back from injuries, and game announcers and ex MLB color announcers say repeatedly how the batters timing is off. Carpenter should not be playing. I saw it when DJ tried to play in the last week of the regular season. He looked awful hitting and didn't do well. Carpenter came up with two men on in the eighth inning and looked feeble striking out with the game on the line. As a matter of fact he never hit the ball in four at bats, striking out every time. I think Cabrera would have made a difference over Carpenter. Sorry for the rant, but sometimes the decisions by managers befuddle me.
Verlander pitched some game, but we had our chances and failed when it mattered most.

A thought, what may have happened last night if you had Cabrera and Peraza in the lineup instead of Carpenter and Donaldson?? There is no way possible it could have been worse offensively. Donaldson struck out three times and had a walk. Carpenter struck out four times.
Neither put a ball in play and each left four men on base for a total of eight.
YankeeBob, based on present conditions as of now, Peraza and Cabrera should play every day and Donaldson and Carpenter should not.
YankeeBob, Cabrera and Peraza, they bring more to the table, More contact, more energy, more speed. I think they just give the team a better chance of winning.
Carpenter may have been fine if he had a couple of weeks to get his eye, timing, and swing back before the playoffs started. However, to just be thrown into a high leverage game is not wise. He pinched hit in the Cleveland series and struck out also. And Donaldson total failure with men an second and third with one out may have been the biggest out (failure) of the game.
I guess you get my drift, both Peraza and Cabrera offer more positives.

Sit Donaldson. He's cooked. Start Cabrera at 3B, Peraza at SS. Go with Carpenter at DH if you want more power, or put IKF at DH if you want more contact and less strikeouts.
Cabrera and Peraza should be playing every game. It can only help make them better.
Carpenter story was a great one, fantastic comeback season and really helped the Yankees. The injury was a freak one, Carpenter lost his edge during recovery. He is older and did not have enough time to return to who he was when playing regularly. He is not an asset now, but could be again next year for some team. Donaldson is past his prime and nowhere near the hitter he once was. That lead to using Cabrera and Peraza NOW.
A win would really be big tonight.

The first ball hit by the Astros tonight was a hard grounder to short. Peraza made a great play and throwing the runner out at first. The only other Yankee shortstop who would have made that play over the last 25 years was Derek Jeter.

Judge just missed a two run home run in the eighth as his line shot was caught at the very top of the right field wall. Yankees down 2 games to 0.
Oh well. Lose 3-2. Off day tomorrow. Games three and four in NY. Maybe a game five. Then maybe back to Houston. Can't say much negative about tonight's game. I saw nothing to whine and snivel about. But I know some will.

Looking back at the end of last night's game. After Donaldson walked, and Locastro was used as a pinch runner. Would it have been a good idea to use IKF as the pinch hitter and have Locastro try to steal second during the first pitch or two. If Locastro steals the base, a single could tie the game. Just saying, it was a way to go instead of Carpenter.
Don't want to be a 'debbie downer', but I've come to expect disappointment in October over the past few seasons. I've come to the reality that this is no longer the team I followed as a young person. "Win at all costs" - that no longer exists. The modern directive of the team is "Stay in the black". A generation of fans will never understand the dominant franchise the Yankees once were.
If LeMahieu was 100% he’d be playing third base every day right now, add Benintendi and there is a good chance we leave Houston with a split.
Cole needs to be at his best tomorrow. So far in the post season he has done what was needed and expected.

Another rotten loss. Need to clean house. Torres and Donaldson need to go and the young infielders need to play in 2023. I don't care how much Donaldson gets paid. Just pay him and DFA him. Try to trade Torres for something decent. There is so much more than can be done.

Houston Astros and Philadelphia Phillies will play in the World Series. The best team and players of each league will meet to determine the best of the best.
Another could've, should've game by the Yankees. Cortes left with an injury in third inning when he walked first two batters and the surrendered a three run home run. He tried to gut out the injury but it helped set up the Yankee downfall.

Rough ending to the season, but the stars did not align for the Yankees. Just too many negatives, roadblocks, and obstacles to overcome with no time to prepare.
If the next season holds the promise of Cabrera, Peraza, Volpe, and maybe a left handed hitting catcher the outlook is very bright. The dead wood needs to be jettisoned. Upgrade the weak spots and it's off to the races.
There is a lot of blame that could be spread around, but that is the easy way out. Just take into account the injuries, and some big ones right at the end of the season. Particularly loses the two left handed bats.
I wonder if the Dodgers would be interested in Stanton. He could easily hit 40-60 home runs in LA/national league. We need athletic youth speed and dexterity in the lineup.
Will Judge want to stay a Yankee or lower his stature by playing for every last dollar. --- I don't think so.
I wonder what the off season hot stove will bring for the Yankee organization. Personally I think Boone needs to go. If you go that route the man who hired him, Cashman, should also go. I am going to say a prayer now hoping for Jeter or someone like him to take over the operation and make the team the greatest again.
We have to say it again. Wait until next year. It almost has to be better, and this year with so many crippling injuries, a coddling manager, and a general manager who has been around to long.
The party's over, it's time to go home for the winter, soon it will be spring, and we will have a new season of baseball. A new roster to look forward to and find out who the players will be.
As bad as losing in the ALCS to Houston was, keep in mind, the Yankees were one of the four best teams in baseball in 2022.

I think a big issue with the Yankees is you can strike out Yankee batters in situations when they need to make a contact out to score a runner from third base with less than two outs, known here as when it matters most. Those strikeout failures lead to my frustration watching the team. Those failures led to who knows how many losses that could have been wins.
Tony Manchu, a strikeout is the single worst out a batter can make. And even more so with men on base, and most when a runner is on third base with less than two outs. Just by putting a ball in play, by hitting it hard, medium, or softly allows for the batter to possibly reach base. A batted ball can lead to error and the batter reaching base, or even an out moving a runner forward a base, let alone and rbi.
Stat fraud and strike out are one in the same. Both have no value.

I love the term stat fraud. They play the game on paper with made up subjective formula's that have no merit. When their selected player or team does not win they make excuses and or lie for cover. Winning is only done on the field in every game all the time.

Cory, since the inception of the American League it has been the superior league on a very consistent basis. The past quarter century of interleague play ha confirmed AL superiority even more. I have always looked at the NL as the AAAA league.
As far as I can remember the American League has been better than the National League. Stretches of overwhelming dominance and sometimes just better and once or twice the NL had a small edge. But, using the stat fraud term, that was an anomaly or an outlier.
It's documented thru history, the AL has always been the better league based on WINS, which is what determines who's best.

When you are comparing the two leagues, from 1900 to 1995 all you could compare was the World Series. That was the only time each year that a team from each league played each other. I believe this tell us something but it may not be enough for some people. Using common sense and logic which a hallmark of the WIN METHOD, when you have the best team from each league play each other for 95 years, you do tend to see which league is better when one league wins more times than the other.
Now, since 1996 thru 2022 we have interleague play and teams in both leagues play each other. I believe the two leagues have played each other over 6,000 times not in interleague play during the regular season. That to me is more telling than the play between the leagues for the first 90+ years. Well, the American League has won over 300 more games than the National League. I would think that some's it up very well. The American League has been and is now the better league to some degree more or less for over 100 years.

Anyone with a half a brain can see how corrupt our voting system is when one state can count 7 1/2 million ballots in less than 12 hours and other states count count half as many ballots in several days. I have so many thoughts on the Yankees signing Judge and what Judge may want. What Judge wants to do is what will be the deciding factor. No one knows what is most important to him. Does he want to retire as a Yankee? How much money is enough? Where does he want to live? How many years is enough? They same can be said for the Yankees. The Yankees also have to think of possible revenue loss without Judge and/or gain with Judge. How many years? How much money? Does Judge want to play in a World Series? That can't be guaranteed no matter where he plays.
All of these items are between Judge and his suitors. No fan, no talking head, knows anything.

There is continued massive election cheating going on. Any state that is unable to count all their votes in one day is running, in my opinion, a corrupt election. Grosner, you do not know what you are talking about. The law in Georgia is a candidate needs at least 50% of the vote to win election. Neither Warnock nor Walker achieved 50%. Therefore a runoff will be held. Unfortunately voters will not need to prove who they are to vote and will not need to vote in person, which is a recipe for corruption.

Democrat Anthony “Tony” DeLuca, Pennsylvania’s longest-serving state representative, was the choice in more than 85% of votes cast.
DeLuca, 85, died on 9 October from lymphoma, a disease he had twice previously fended off.

If anyone thinks a decision in any election cannot be called within 24 hours is OK, except in a very close election which may need a recount, then the election process needs to be revamped. Absolutely no mail in ballots ever except for military. In person positive voting only for one entire week through actual election day. Voting permitted from 5am thru 11pm every day.

Unions that operate with common sense and reason and without corruption can be very good for their members. Sadly, most union do not work this way.
