WIN METHOD YANKEE BASEBALL 2021 SEASON -- FULL SEASON

Hello WIN METHOD Yankee fans, the smartest baseball fans on the face of the earth.  It has been a long time since I last blog posted.  However, there have been comments within the blog from me.  So here we go for 2021.

First, the Yankees will be in the playoffs again this season, but they also will play in the World Series.  In talking with players, they are not happy with what they have achieved the past few seasons.  They feel they have something to prove and want to do it now.  Most of the players have undertaken a new or modified training program instituted by the training staff.  Look for less injuries and less severe injuries this season.  That will be a step forward and a plus for the team as a whole.

Second, Corey Kluber and Jameson Taillon both feel very optimistic with what each will contribute to the Yankees success this season.  Both players believe their injuries are behind them.  As of now, the Yankee starting rotation looks like it will have four men in the first four spots right now.  Cole, Kluber, Taillon, and Montgomery.  The fifth spot will be determined in March.  The guys who do not make the fifth spot will either be sent to AAA Scranton or long relievers on the big team.  Then the big guy Louie Louie Severino will make his return to the Bronx in June.  The pitching staff looks solid and has many fall back arms to rely on.  The bullpen remains solid and strong, also with several young arms looking to make an impact.

Third, the lineup will be solid again, more important, will be healthier.  Runs will be put on the board.  The biggest question mark will be at catcher.  Catcher Gary Sanchez has been a black hole in the Yankee lineup recently, ala afraud in the past.  Gary Sanchez is being mentored and talked to by coaches and trainers.  Sanchez feels it is helping him,  As the season starts, we will all see if it has.  Sanchez himself is the only person who can really make it happen.  It is up to him.  A big WIN METHOD season from Sanchez would be a big help to the lineup and the team.  If he does what he has been doing the last couple of seasons, Gary's days could be short lived.

As you all know I always read all posts by all of you who post here.  Looking at the numbers of views recorded on the WIN METHOD blog there are also an enormous number of fans who read the blog consistently.  You fans will take this blog, the number one Yankee baseball blog in the world over the one billion mark somewhere around June 1st this year.  You are the people who take this blog in the direction you want it to go on a daily, weekly, monthly, or whatever time frame basis.  This past year, we saw a very shortened baseball season, we saw a disgusting Chinese created virus, spread throughout the world by the most foul Chinese government, killing millions of people from all countries across the globe.  We had a presidential election here in America.  The election was the most corrupt election in the history of America stolen by the most corrupt politicians in America's history.  We now have the most corrupt politicians in America's history running our country.  They will do their best to destroy America.  Hopefully, you the people will do whatever you need to do to stop the destruction.

It is now back to baseball and a great Yankee season.  Thank all of you for reading and posting your views and opinions in this blog.  You are the people who have made the WIN METHOD blog the best and greatest Yankee baseball blog, forum, or site in the world.  We here are WIN METHOD will continue to have no signups, no ask for no personal information from you, no advertisements, and no bans of anyone.  You, your views, and your opinions do not get canceled here.  Unlike big tech, other baseball forums or sites which control you by banning or canceling you, here, that will never happen.

One more thing before I conclude.  I would like to recognize the life and pay my respects to RUSH HUDSON LIMBAUGH III who passed away February 17th.  Rush was the greatest radio and political commentator of all time.  Rush's radio career spanned over thirty years.  Rush's show was three hours a day, five days week, fifty-two weeks a year.  Rush was right 99.8% of the time and one of the finest American patriots who believed in freedom and pursuit of happiness of every single American.   Rest in peace, you will never be forgotten.

It is baseball time again.  Lets look forward to a great season and as always LETS GO YANKEES.

Yankees battling, a good sign, tie game at four thru seven.

Boone gets thrown out of game. He blew up at the home plate ump who missed to strike calls. This is visually the most energy and commitment to his players and team he has shown.

Final. Yankees win 7-5. Come all the way back from being down 4-1. A lot of heroes and big hits, but the biggest star was Nestor Cortes who pitched 2 1/3 innings of shutout ball. Cortes saved the game in the fifth inning when he came in with runners on 1st and 3rd with no one out and got the next three batters without giving up a run.

Steve(winstheonlystat) said...

Yanks win 7-5. This is the type of win that goes a long way building character.

Jimmy Thames said...

Fine win today. Need to finish off this series tomorrow with another win. That would be a nice step forward.

Ralph--Yuma said...

What Peralta gave away yesterday, Cortes took back today. Great outing from Cortes, gave the Yankee bats a chance to come alive and win. Teamwork, all players contribute in the outcome of games.

Monty tomorrow, maybe he will stifle the A's left handed power bats.

Harvey Wixman said...

No fake stats here, but isn't it amazing when teams produce when it counts most they ususally win.

Andrew J said...

Montgomery gives a 'quality game' today, the bats produce when it matters most, we will win.

Todays Yankee Lineup

Jordan Montgomery (L) P

1. DJ LeMahieu (R) 2B
2. Aaron Judge (R) CF
3. Gary Sanchez (R) C
4. Giancarlo Stanton (R) DH
5. Gleyber Torres (R) SS
6. Gio Urshela (R) 3B
7. Miguel Andujar (R) LF
8. Chris Gittens (R) 1B
9. Clint Frazier (R) RF

Right handed powerfest lineup. The A's only have one lefty bat in against Monty.

UNBELIEVABLE...Yankees turn another triple play in ninth and win 2-1.

will-i-am said...

Final. Yankees win 2-1. A nerve racking nail biting win. After walking the first two batters in the ninth putting men on 1st and 2nd with no one out. Chapman gets a ground ball triple play, 3rd to 2nd to 1st to end game. Sanchez hitting hero for the Yankees with a 2 rbi double. Monty with another solid outing keeping the Yankees in the game and giving them a chance to win. Monty allowed the only A's run of the game, a solo HR in the 1st inning. The Yankee bullpen did the rest, Loaisiga, Luetge, and Chapman for the win.

Gil McKenzie said...

This series was the first road series the A's have lost this season. The Yankees as a team seem to be much more into the games and not just going through the motions.

Cory said...

Yankees ten game series.

001-010 5-5
010-020 4-6 = 9-11
021-030 7-3 = 16-14
031-040 6-4 = 22-18
041-050 7-3 = 29-21
050-060 2-8 = 31-29
060-070 6-4 = 37-33

It's a winning series, but need to do better than just 6-4 series. Over the last three series only playing .500 ball because of one really rotten series.

Today's win was great beating a really good team and a really good pitcher Good start on the ten game series we are in now.

Off day tomorrow. Then KC comes in for three night games. Cole, King, and Taillon for the Yankees.

Can't let up, have to play hard against every team no matter who they are or where they are.

Ramon Fuentes said...

That makes twice in a month that our closer ended games with triple plays. The end result is what you want, but I would feel much more comfortable getting a 1,2,3 inning the more traditional way with each batter being retired one at a time.

VincentVanGoYankees said...

KC gave the sux fits this weekend. Beware and be ready.

bigbadwolf said...

Funny how the stat frauds think, when a manager makes a decision on a player change, if the player fails the manager is an idiot and does not know what he is doing, and if the same player succeeds the manager still made the wrong decision but got lucky. That in a nutshell describes the posters at the nyy yankee forum. They are dumb as rocks and they post on a forum created for ignorant baseball fans.

Steve(winstheonlystat} said...

If I am not mistaken, Voit will be back with Yankees Tuesday and most likely Gittens will go back to AAA.

Also, bigbadwolf, I second your comment above. The hate there for Hal Steinbrenner, Cashman, Boone, Gardner, Wade and others is over the top cesspool comments. That place is a disgrace.

BostonYankee said...

Guys, I didn't get bounced from the nyy forums, I just walked away. I found it sad to see so many posters get run out for expressing their views and calling out the clique posters and moderators.

Eddie OConnor said...

Cole does start game one of the KC series, a game the Yankees will need to win.

yankeedoodledandy said...

Have to admit, Gary Sanchez has really stepped up, is making his presence felt, and is again a bat to deal with.

okiened said...

Gittens was sent to AAA right after Sunday's win. That makes room on the roster for Voit being added for Tuesday game.

Ron Francis said...

So far it sure looks how meaningless spin rate is and proves again the ignorance of the stat frauds. Pitchers have been doing fine since MLB's edict.

NJYANKEE said...

Ron Francis, I agree, I haven't seen any difference in the games or the pitchers so far. Monty and Manaea didn't seem to have any problems yesterday, hitters on both team were generally ineffective. Spin rate, exit velocity, defensive zone stats are all meaningless. They exist and are measurable, however nonetheless, meaningless to the outcome of a baseball game.

John Hartnett said...

Voit likely added to the potent Yankee lineup tomorrow and with Sanchez regaining his old form lets see how the team fairs moving forward.

Vince/Brooklyn said...

Rain moving thru city today but radar has it leaving before game time. Really need to play tonight with Cole starting. If we don/t play we won't have Cole against the sux on Sunday.

Gerrit Cole (R) P

1. DJ LeMahieu (R) 2B
2. Aaron Judge (R) RF
3. Luke Voit (R) 1B
4. Giancarlo Stanton (R) DH
5. Gio Urshela (R) 3B
6. Gleyber Torres (R) SS
7. Clint Frazier (R) LF
8. Kyle Higashioka (R) C
9. Brett Gardner (L) CF

I guess Cole has the juice. Frazier in for Andujar. Voit is back and at first base.

Sammybigdog said...

If Sanchez DH'ed tonight Stanton would have to come out of the lineup. If push comes to shove I would rather have Stanton in the lineup. Also, if one of the top pitchers in baseball feels Higashioka should be his catcher, so be it, that's good enough for me.

candycane said...

2-2 after 4.

Giambino said...

2-2 game thru 4. One BIG problem, the Yankees do not have a hit when it mattered most, leaving the bases loaded twice, and two men on once. Could have easily been up by several runs.

will-I-am said...

Final. Yankees lose 6-5. Yanks Do it again, blow a game they should have easily won. Another game with a pathetic display of failure when it mattered most. Torres looked like garbage tonight. Louisa takes the loss with his worst effort of the season.

Deb F said...

I am so disappointed. This seesaw season of ups and downs just can't continue or there will be no playoffs. How many game are we going to keep giving away. KC scores five runs on base hits producing when it mattered most. We didn't score a run except for home runs and a wild pitch.

Yanks23245 said...

will-i-am said it all. You just can't give games away your ace works so hard to set you up to win.

Warren Hammond said...

As we shot ourselves in the foot yet again, we have to play catchup again. Each time we fail to catchup we lose ground. Eventually there will not be enough ground left to catch up.

Kojak said...

It's yesterdays tomorrow now so King will start todays game to try to even the series with KC.

Gordon Gecko said...

With the failure to produce with men on base last night we now need our number four and five starters to win this series.

jimbo said...

People here post all the time about producing when it counts or matters most. What is so hard for stat frauds to understand this concept based on fact and facts. Are stat frauds really that stupid. When a player produces is far more important than how many than how many they produce.

6. Gleyber Torres (R) SS

Urshella not in, why? Sanchez in 3 hole over Voit.

Randy Holt said...

In reality, the lineup truly make little difference because you never now who will have the opportunity to produce when it matters most. Then and only then does the games outcome have the most chance of being decided one way or the other.

There is little to nothing to say, the Yankees, as an organization and team are saying it all.

The New York Yankees announced that today's game between has been postponed due to the forecast of inclement weather. The game has been rescheduled for Monday, Aug. 16, at 7:05 p.m. at Yankee Stadium.

Quigley said...

There is weather moving thru just as it did last night when they did not cancel the game. Maybe the team just didn't FEEL like playing today after last night's debacle. They were booed off the field in disgrace.

Victor Grandozi said...

What a joke this Yankee ownership has become. Game canceled today and nyc is getting just about a quarter of the rain it got last night and played in. And lost in.

Patrick Healy said...

In my opinion this may be the problem with the Yankee players. >>>>> If you hire a passive limp sock puppet with no fire in his belly for a manager, you shouldn't be surprised that the players won't respect him. The players become underperforming, unmotivated, sloppy and otherwise completely lackadaisical with no sense of urgency. I'm not saying they need someone screaming their head off, but the players are only following the same attitude of their manager.

Yankees ten game series.

001-010 5-5
010-020 4-6 = 9-11
021-030 7-3 = 16-14
031-040 6-4 = 22-18
041-050 7-3 = 29-21
050-060 2-8 = 31-29
060-070 6-4 = 37-33
071-080 4-6 = 41-39

Going backwards is a recipe for disaster and that is where this Yankee team is headed.

82 games left and likely need 55 wins for the playoffs. It can be done. Would mean @ 7-3 baseball each ten games and if the first eight sets are a barometer, it will not happen.

Erica Johnston said...

With the rainout today, the Yankees lost the series. Or do you have to wait for the makeup game to decide? The makeup game could be considered a one game series. 😀

Yanks23245 said...

After MLB umpires screw up another game that could have easily been played today, the Yankee will host the Mets for a three game weekend series tomorrow.

Tom Kelly said...

Cory, I don't believe the Yankee team led by Boone have the fortitude or character to win 2/3's of their remaining games.

NJYANKEE said...

Monty will pitch game one against the Mets tomorrow night. Cole on Saturday.

I wonder how many bullets the Yanks have left, with all the shooting themselves in foot going on.

Stache Colinski said...

Three months left in season, as in a horse race this is where we separate the best ones from the decent ones from the poor ones. Put up or shut up and go home.

Several posters over the past few weeks have posted that the Yankees needed to do something now. There will come a day at some point that there will be no now's left.

Yankees trailing 3-0 after five innings of play and do not have a hit.

YankeeBob said...

Yankees are getting pummeled with ground ball singles, bloop singles, and walks as they fall behind 8-0 in sixth. Yankee hitters as they swing for the seats over and over do not have a hit in game.

Ziggy Mann said...

The Yankees are losing 8-3 after 8 innings. If the Yankees come to bat in the 9th still only trailing by 5 runs, what are the chances they can tie or win today's game? In my opinion, zero, zip, nada, nil, no way, forget about it, 0.

Fred Slube said...

The Yankees are still digging and the hole is getting deeper and deeper.

will-i-am said...

Final. Yankees lose 8-3. Hapless is a good word to define the way the Yankees are playing the game of baseball. What I found discomforting was the celebration of the Yankee players in the dugout as Judge off the field after rounding the bases after his home run, which was the Yankees first hit of the game closing the Met lead to 8-1. What was there to celebrate, a meaningless personal stat. Disgusting. Sorry fans, but I needed to vent.

Playing from behind again. Need to win both games tomorrow to win series this series. So sad so often.

Happy fourth to all.

Cole in first game and Cortes in the second game tomorrow. Need them both.

Eddie OConnor said...

With Cortes starting the second game it will be a full out bullpen game for the Yankees. Hopefully Cole goes seven and wins the first game.

Benny Pake said...

Yanks down 1-0 after one as Cole gives up HR.

Barry West said...

Newbie LoCastro does something odd for a Yankee. In his first at bat when it matters most, with men on 2nd and 3rd and one out, LoCastro makes contact and hits a sac fly for a RBI putting Yankees up 3-1 after 2.

Also the first 2 runs of the inning was on a 2 RBI double with the bases loaded by Higashioka when it mattered most.

candycane said...

Yanks up 3-1 after 2.

Jack Gordon said...

Cole hammered in third and is out after just 3 1/3 innings. Loaisiga in tp try to save inning. Cole final line 3 1/3 innings 4 runs. 4-4 after 4 innings as Cole can't hold 4-1 lead.

candycane said...

4-4 after 4.

will-i-am said...

Final. Yankees lose 10-5. Chapman comes in to close a Yankees 5-4 lead and loses another games for the Yankees. The nightmare continues.

Todays Yankee Lineup

1. DJ LeMahieu (R) 3B
2. Aaron Judge (R) RF
3. Gary Sanchez (R) C

5. Luke Voit (R) 1B
6. Rougned Odor (L) 2B
7. Gio Urshela (R) SS
8. Miguel Andujar (R) LF
9. Brett Gardner (L) CF

What difference does it make. The Yankees seem to find a way to lose.

Final. Yankees win, I repeat the Yankees win 4-2. Urshella 3 run home run and Green final 3 innings of 9 up 9 down pitching gets it done, after Cortes goes first three innings of shutout pitching.
