WIN METHOD YANKEE BASEBALL 2021 SEASON -- FULL SEASON

Hello WIN METHOD Yankee fans, the smartest baseball fans on the face of the earth.  It has been a long time since I last blog posted.  However, there have been comments within the blog from me.  So here we go for 2021.

First, the Yankees will be in the playoffs again this season, but they also will play in the World Series.  In talking with players, they are not happy with what they have achieved the past few seasons.  They feel they have something to prove and want to do it now.  Most of the players have undertaken a new or modified training program instituted by the training staff.  Look for less injuries and less severe injuries this season.  That will be a step forward and a plus for the team as a whole.

Second, Corey Kluber and Jameson Taillon both feel very optimistic with what each will contribute to the Yankees success this season.  Both players believe their injuries are behind them.  As of now, the Yankee starting rotation looks like it will have four men in the first four spots right now.  Cole, Kluber, Taillon, and Montgomery.  The fifth spot will be determined in March.  The guys who do not make the fifth spot will either be sent to AAA Scranton or long relievers on the big team.  Then the big guy Louie Louie Severino will make his return to the Bronx in June.  The pitching staff looks solid and has many fall back arms to rely on.  The bullpen remains solid and strong, also with several young arms looking to make an impact.

Third, the lineup will be solid again, more important, will be healthier.  Runs will be put on the board.  The biggest question mark will be at catcher.  Catcher Gary Sanchez has been a black hole in the Yankee lineup recently, ala afraud in the past.  Gary Sanchez is being mentored and talked to by coaches and trainers.  Sanchez feels it is helping him,  As the season starts, we will all see if it has.  Sanchez himself is the only person who can really make it happen.  It is up to him.  A big WIN METHOD season from Sanchez would be a big help to the lineup and the team.  If he does what he has been doing the last couple of seasons, Gary's days could be short lived.

As you all know I always read all posts by all of you who post here.  Looking at the numbers of views recorded on the WIN METHOD blog there are also an enormous number of fans who read the blog consistently.  You fans will take this blog, the number one Yankee baseball blog in the world over the one billion mark somewhere around June 1st this year.  You are the people who take this blog in the direction you want it to go on a daily, weekly, monthly, or whatever time frame basis.  This past year, we saw a very shortened baseball season, we saw a disgusting Chinese created virus, spread throughout the world by the most foul Chinese government, killing millions of people from all countries across the globe.  We had a presidential election here in America.  The election was the most corrupt election in the history of America stolen by the most corrupt politicians in America's history.  We now have the most corrupt politicians in America's history running our country.  They will do their best to destroy America.  Hopefully, you the people will do whatever you need to do to stop the destruction.

It is now back to baseball and a great Yankee season.  Thank all of you for reading and posting your views and opinions in this blog.  You are the people who have made the WIN METHOD blog the best and greatest Yankee baseball blog, forum, or site in the world.  We here are WIN METHOD will continue to have no signups, no ask for no personal information from you, no advertisements, and no bans of anyone.  You, your views, and your opinions do not get canceled here.  Unlike big tech, other baseball forums or sites which control you by banning or canceling you, here, that will never happen.

One more thing before I conclude.  I would like to recognize the life and pay my respects to RUSH HUDSON LIMBAUGH III who passed away February 17th.  Rush was the greatest radio and political commentator of all time.  Rush's radio career spanned over thirty years.  Rush's show was three hours a day, five days week, fifty-two weeks a year.  Rush was right 99.8% of the time and one of the finest American patriots who believed in freedom and pursuit of happiness of every single American.   Rest in peace, you will never be forgotten.

It is baseball time again.  Lets look forward to a great season and as always LETS GO YANKEES.

Think about it. When half of your starting lineup can't hit .200 you are in trouble as a team and you put an un-needed massive burden on your pitching staff from top to bottom.

If Cole does what he does the Yankee inept offense won't need to score a lot of runs. Hope they can put at least three on the board.

Craig Winstead said...

Xavier Young, then the worst could happen, the Yankees score 10 runs as Cole throws a shutout.
Would be a lot of wasted meaningless runs.

Yankees take first inning lead 1-0 on Urshella 2 out when it matters most rbi single.

Final. Yankees win 10-0. There is nothing for me to say, Craig Winstead said it all perfectly.

Everyone wanted a great start from the Yankees and an easy AL East championship. Just like in a horse race, sometimes a horse wins from start to finish, or wins running from the middle of the pack, makes his move and crosses the finish line first. Then there are races where horses come from far back, even last, make their move later in the race as they gain their stride and momentum and at the end finish first. The only payoff is at the finish line. Remember the old adage, the first shall be last and the last shall be first.

Our DH who never plays the field and is hot right now is on the bench, resting from swinging a bat four or five times a game. How about giving guys a rest from resting and let them play.

Five home runs yesterday when not needed. Really makes no difference, only the win counts and only wins gets players and teams into the playoffs.

Kluber with eight innings of some of the most brilliant and dominating pitching you will ever see. No runs, two hits, one walk, ten strikeouts. Leaves leading 2-0. Chapman in for save try.

Tom Wilson said...

Great win. Great battery does it all. Kluber and Higashioka, winning pitcher throws 9 innings of shutout ball and game winning hit by Yankees number one catcher.

will-i-am said...

Final. Yankees win 2-0. Kluber with 8 innings of dominating pitching. Allows just two hits and one walk with ten K's. Chapman with a 3 up 3 down save. Higashioka with the game winning hit and Gardner with an insurance run sac fly against the right field wall.

sid greenberg,nyc said...

You young people out there, today you witnesses old fashioned baseball. A great talented pitcher throwing strikes and domination the opposing team. A game that was less than 2 1/2 hours even with the extended time for the advertisers. Kluber was the guy who did it. He never came close to 100 mph nor 95 mph. Just "stuff", control with ball movement. Reminded me of Whitey Ford.

Deb F said...

Nice win today, reached .500, now to move on up and never look back. Kluber was something else.

Don't want to rain on the great win parade, however the lineup really didn't do much. Which is fine, why waste runs when your starter pitches a shutout.

WIN METHOD fans, remember, when a player earns an rbi, another player had to get on base and score the run. Also, the player who scored the run may have also moved up a base to be able to score the run because he advanced on yet another players contribution (sac bunt, hitting a grounder behind the man on base to advance him, etc). Contributions from many determines who wins or loses. The greatest individual stat guys who do not help their team win are not as good as their stats and the stat frauds make them out to be.

Yankeeforever said...

Hobbs, you are defining baseball and what it takes to win. By the standards of the stat frauds, the low individual stat players do not contribute, are interchangeable, and mean little to nothing in the outcome of games.

The takeaway from the Yankees at this point in time is the starting pitching looks to be five deep quality starters. You can number them 1 thru 5, but you actually have all five as maybe 1,2,2,3,3. The bullpen is solid and likely one of the top three in baseball. Best part, both the starting rotation and bullpen will likely get better with the return of Louie Louie and Britton. Throw in depth as a positive also.

yankeeclipper said...

Guy, for one game Wade can't do worse than Torres did last night, but Torres is a better player. To add, I do think Wade is better defensively than Torres.

Hicks sac fly in seventh puts Yankees up 1-0 after seven.

One heck of a game tonight. Great one to watch. Cole was brilliant leaving with a 1-0 lead after eight innings. Chappy gets the save in a 1-0 win.

will-i-am said...

Final. Yankees win 1-0. Cole goes 8 innings, 0 runs, 4 hits, 0 walks, 12 K's. Chapman closes it out with a 1,2,3 9th with 1 K. Yankees win series and have a chance for a sweep tomorrow.

Carl Hooks said...

First series win for Yanks in Trop since 2019. 1-0.

Laura Koehler said...

Winning is what matters. Winning 3 or 4 to 0 is a lot easier on everyone.

Gus Papa said...

Taillon tomorrow night. Guys, how about a bunch of runs tomorrow.

Wilsonsway said...

Wade did better than Torres. Got a hit, only K'd once, and played perfect defense. I did not have to squirm each time a ball was hit to the left side. Wade looked smooth and every throw he made was right on target. Voit did not have to reach for any one of them.

Xavier Young said...

One win at a time, but please not by one run at a time.

Three game series sweeps are big. Instead of a one game edge in winning a series 2 games to 1, a sweep means a three game edge.

ATTENTION WIN METHOD FANS.....WE MUST INTERUPT BASEBALL FOR THIS IMPRTANT MESSAGE......

Regarding President Donald J Trump....Two matters, first if it not for President Trump and his warp speed Covid vaccination research program, who knows how many more Americans would be dead now and how much more time America and the American people would be locked down. President Trump was the the first and only President who took charge, eliminated the federal and political rules and regulations that allowed the pharmaceutical companies to research, find, develop, and test vaccines that could be used to same millions and millions of lives in only several months. Before Trump it took years, anywhere from five to ten or more.
Second, under President Trump America for the first time in its history became energy independent, producing all the energy Americans needed to drive cars, heat their homes and anything else they needed energy for. America was now producing and selling energy for the first time ever and making America the number one energy producer in the world. The cost for Americans for their energy was the lowest ever accounting for inflation over the decades. The first thing the joe-bama/commie MALADY administration did was close energy production in America driving up costs for all fuels needed to extraordinary high levels and forcing America to buy fuel from terrorist countries thus hurting the American people. The joe-bama MALADY administration is out to destroy America, that is their goal. We must stop them now and forever.

Hi all, happy to join the WIN METHOD blog. I too hate Joe-bama and the liberal establishment's hold on our nation's affairs. I also hate how Big Tech censors people as well, so I'm happy to join with fellow free speech warriors to discuss my two favorite things: the yankees and communism

With Cole and Kluber on the staff, veterans with much pitching savvy, along with pitching coach Jeff Blake, I would think and hope their knowledge and wisdom will help and bolster Montgomery, German, and all the bullpen guys. Then the culture of pitching goes through the entire minor league system. Have to agree with what Grosner posted. Pitching will carry a team much further than hitting. A combination of both will carry a team even further.

Todays Yankee Lineup

Jameson Taillon (R) P

1. DJ LeMahieu (R) 2B
2. Giancarlo Stanton (R) DH
3. Aaron Judge (R) RF
4. Gio Urshela (R) SS
5. Gary Sanchez (R) C
6. Mike Ford (L) 1B
7. Clint Frazier (R) LF
8. Miguel Andujar (R) 3B
9. Brett Gardner (L) CF

I don't know what to say except lets go Yankees.

Steve(winstheonlystat) said...

The Yankees are playing musical chairs with the roster. Andujar back up. Voit plays two games and is off today. Hicks out, in, out. Our second catcher batting in the five hole. Makes no difference when you win, but creates fodder for the stat frauds when you lose.

candycane said...

Yanks down 2-0 after 2.

Lou Moscowitz said...

Taillon goes 4 2/3 sloppy innings and leaves with 2 men on and 2 out and the Yankees down 4-0. Oddly, Taillon has struck out 9 of the 14 outs he got.

Frank Harris said...

Yanks down 7-0 after 7. Good way to lose.

will-i-am said...

Final. Yankees lose 9-1. Yankee pitchers strike out 16 Rays batters. Yanks take series 2 games to 1. Taillon takes the loss.

Meaningless stat fraud alert. We do this every once in awhile to rile up the stat frauds and illustrate how meaningless their stats are.

The Yankees and Rays just concluded a three game series. The Yankees scored just five runs and the Rays score ten runs. The Rays doubled the Yankees runs and won the series?

NO! the Yankees won the series two games to one. As the WIN METHOD states, it is not how many or how much that determines the best, it is when you produce that matters most. The Yankee produced enough in two games when it mattered most, the Rays produced the most in one game when it mattered the least.

Thus, the Yankees won two games and the Rays won one game.

Conclusion, to be the best you need to win the most and it makes no difference how much and how many of any stat is produced. Wins are all that counts and only wins gets the teams and their players to the playoffs.

Here are some interesting numbers.

MLB Hits per strikeout over the past decade...
2012: 1.15
2013: 1.15
2014: 1.11
2015: 1.12
2016: 1.08
2017: 1.05
2018: 1.00
2019: 0.98
2020: 0.93
2021: 0.86

Not a good trend for the game. The game is changing and is not getting better.

Steve(winstheonlystat) said...

Numbers can be manipulated, particularly man made formulas built on man made variables within the formula. These are know as the fake formulas. Defensive stat formulas are totally useless and meaningless. WAR is another useless stat. Like their meaningless stats, stat frauds are useless people.

The Yankees need to get Odor back and quickly. Would also help to bring up a couple of minor leaguers because a couple of guys on the roster now need to be chucked.

Urshella pinch hit 3 run home runs puts Yankees in front 5-4 mid seventh.

will-i-am said...

Final. Yankees win 5-4. Kluber six innings allows all four Oriole runs. Green, Peralta, and Loaisiga one inning each of shutout ball for the hold, hold, and save. Judge two solo HRs and Urshella 3 run HR for all the Yankee runs.

5. Gary Sanchez (R) C

New guy in centerfield today. A win and a sweep is the goal.

Augie Defonce said...

Off and running. Yanks score four in the first today. Big hits from back to back home runs by Sanchez, a 2 run HR and Frazier solo HR.

yankeeclipper said...

5-5 thru three innings. Monty has nothing today and has thrown 76 pitches through three innings and likely will start the fourth inning. Downer game for Monty, no excuse with the Yankees giving him a 4-0 lead before he even threw a pitch.

will-i-am said...

Final. Yankees lose 10-6. After scoring four runs in the first inning the Yankees slept walked through the game likely thinking the game was over. The game may have been over as far as the Yankees were concerned but the Orioles didn't. The Orioles pounded Yankee start Montgomery for five runs in three innings knocking out of the game and then pounded the Yankee bullpen for another five runs in the next five innings and embarrass the Yankees by winning 10-6. The Yankees did win the series but lost the sweep. Oh well, on to Texas for a four game series.

Diane Stahl said...

Very disappointing game today.

Lori Kelly said...

The first word and thought that came to my mind when the Yankees scored four runs in the first inning was sweep.

Yankees ten game series.

010-020 4-6 = 9-11
021-030 7-3 = 16-14
031-040 6-4 = 22-18

A step forward set of ten games.

sid greenberg,nyc said...

As for the Yankees, the manager today goes around and asks players if they feel OK to play each game. Is over cautious with the slightest issue a player may have and adjusts the lineup to the players. In my young days as a fan, the manager wrote your name on the lineup card and the player went out and played, no ifs ands or buts. It is the world today, touchy feely whiney crying snivelers.

5. Gary Sanchez (R) DH
6. Brett Gardner (L) CF

Dag Traweck said...

Cole roughed up for 3 runs in second. Yanks down 3-1.

will-i-am said...

Final. Yankees lose 5-2. Cole gives up 5 runs in a clunker effort. Yank bats dead wood. bad start to four game series.

Jimmy Thames said...

So Monty and Cole throw back to back bad games with both giving up five runs. We need Taillon, Kluber and German to make up for it now and restore some order. Four guys in the lineup every game hitting under .200 is not a good sign for the team. Half the order can't carry a team, everyone needs to produce.

Norm Jackson said...

This is the fraud takeaway from last nights game. ""Cole breaks MLB record with K. Gerrit Cole strikes out Joey Gallo in the 1st inning to break the MLB record with 59 strikeouts since last allowing a walk."" A meaningless individual stat. The only thing that mattered from last nights game was Cole pitched poorly and the Yankees lost the game.

Wake up stat frauds and enjoy the game for the reason it is played.

Swen Jorgenson said...

We need our sparkplug Odor back and in the lineup soon. He was the only guy who had lit a fire under this team. He gave up his body scoring a run at the plate slamming into the catcher and then had to be put on the DL list for ten days. Odor, Odor, Odor.
