WIN METHOD YANKEE BASEBALL SEASON 2020 shortened

Finally, it looks like we will have some semblance of a Major League Baseball season in 2020.  Baseball for 2020 was halted by a Chinese oriented deadly virus that is traveling the world and killing massive amounts of innocent people.  In March baseball was shut down as was most of America.  As most of America regains its footing and is starting to recover, so is baseball.

The MLB owners and the MLBPA (players association) yesterday have agreed to play a partial 2020 season commencing around July 23-24.   A second spring training will open July 1st, and each team will get in shape in their own home ballparks all across the nation.  There is tentatively a 60 game season that will be played.  There is always a probability what I post here may be amended by the owners, players, and baseball commissioner.  Each division will play 40 games in their own division.  That would make for 40 games, 10 with each rival in their division.  Each team would also play 4 games against each team in their opposite division for 20 games making for the total of a 60 game season.  The divisions will play each other geographically limiting travel.  East vs east, central vs central, and west vs west.  The regular season will end the last week of September.  As of now each division winner and two wild cards in each league will make the playoffs.  That is the same as the 162 game season.  The inferior AAAA national league will use the designated hitter for their games for the first time in baseball history.  The American League has used the designated hitter since April 6, 1973 when Ron Blomberg of the New York Yankees became the league's first ever designated hitter.  Also extra inning games will be started with a runner on second base which makes a mockery of the game and is a sham that demeans the game of baseball.  Not all changes are bad, however this change is bad.

The playoffs will conclude the season as usual hopefully ending in October.  In the end as it always has and hopefully always will the best players and best teams will reach the playoffs and then advance to the final series, the world's greatest sports event the WORLD SERIES.

The season without question will be shorter and different.  Look at it this way, every one of the sixty games becomes far more important and losing streaks will eliminate teams fast, while a big winning streak can carry a team right into the playoffs.  The players will need to get their heads fully into the season from the first game on.   The fun part is the WIN METHOD becomes even more important.  The players who produce when it matters most and do it the most often will lead their team through the season and into the playoffs.   Hopefully all goes well healthwise and the season can be completed.

No matter what, happens and as always, LETS GO YANKEES!

PS....thank you all, WIN METHOD fans from all over the world for your unwavering support, your comments, and for being the most intelligent baseball fans in the world.   The ignorance of the stat frauds  doesn't exist here.  They have no game.  They are  losers who love losing players.

Final. Yankees win 6-0. Cole complete game two hitter. LeMahieu, Gardner, Higashioka each with home runs. Notable achievement in futility, meatball 0 for 2 but failed to score from third base on a passed ball that went all the way to the backstop with no rebound. The catcher had to go all the way to the backstop to get it. Sad, no offence, no defense and no speed. Game two in 45 minutes.

Final. Yankees win 10-1. Tanaka five innings allowing the one run and he earns the win. Voit with two 3 run home runs. Andujar a big 2 RBI double early in game when it mattered most. All good but for the 7 hole where the meathead meatball occupies again. So the team has to play around the black hole yet again. On the other hand meatball may be hot, he did get a hit last night when the Yankees were leading 10-1 and only one inning left in the game.

NJYANKEE, no question. Using Torres at DH gives him a day off in the field and there is an off day tomorrow to boot. No way a very good hitter should sit for your worst hitter. Boone can give me any reason he wishes I would call Barbra Streisand on it.

Breaking the tension of todays game, here is a fun fact.....///.....For the first time in MLB history Luke Voit became the only batter to lead off any game with a sacrifice fly. And as I dotted the sentence with a period Gleyber Torres hits a two out two RBI double to put the Yankees in front 3-1 in the eighth. Meatball concludes the inning with his second K of the game going 0 for 2 but did have two walks.

will-i-am said...

Final. Yankees win 3-1. Happ five innings allowing just one run. Otavino 2 outs, Holder 1 out, Green 3 outs, Britton 3 outs, and Chapman 3 outs go the final four innings of scoreless ball. Wade win a game tying HR and Torres a pinch hit game winning double for the win.

Steve(winstheonlystat) said...

How about this for second guessing. If Boone had started Torres today the Yankees could have won the game earlier and not had to gone thru the histrionics of a late inning pinch hit win.
OR
Boone is a genius keeping Torres out and using him just when he needed a big when it matters most game winning hit.

I think you have to keep Higashioka catching Cole for the rest of the year. Three home runs or not. Cole looks much more comfortable throwing to him. Add on that Higashioka is a better catcher offensively and defensively and he at least runs out his at bats. Meatball is just a futile tub of lard.

With all the bigger name players back or even at half back, WHY would Boone ever use Meatball the cesspool, (the worst player on the team), as a designated hitter EVER, EVER, EVER!!!
Heck, Kratz came in to play first base for Voit last night late in the game, got an at bat and lined a single into left field. And Kratz is make a lot of contact and is hitting over .300 albeit in limited playing time. Also Kratz is a better catcher defensively than Meatball, and he hustles.

Cory said...

First time in baseball history. The record for the most home runs by one team in three consecutive games since baseball began a very long time ago was 16 and it was held by five teams. Coming into this game the Yankees had 13 home runs in the last two games. So far in this game the Yankees have hit 5 home runs and have set a new three consecutive game home run record of at least 18 and still playing. Another baseball record that may never be broken???

NJYANKEE said...

Tanaka goes seven. Allows 3 runs. Yanks lead 9-3.

Jimmy Thanes said...

Meatball hits HR in 7th and that gives Yankees 19 over three games and extends all time MLB record to 19.

will-i-am said...

Final. Yankees win 10-7. Tanaka seven innings for the win. Holder with a horrid 9th inning of relief forces Boone to bring Chapman in for the save. Yankees hit six more home runs and nineteen over the three games for an all time MLB record.

Cory said...

Fifth series of 10 games each. One more to go.

01-10 8-2
11-20 6-4 = 14-6
21-30 3-7 = 17-13
31-40 4-6 = 21-19
41-50 8-2 = 29-21

This series is what the Yankees needed and very likely insures a trip to the 2020 playoffs.

Aaron Judge (R) RF
Giancarlo Stanton (R) DH
Luke Voit (R) 1B
Gleyber Torres (R) SS
Aaron Hicks (S) CF
Gio Urshela (R) 3B
Gary Sanchez (R) C
Brett Gardner (L) LF

Boone knows who's playing but doesn't know who's pitching. Top lineup? Not as good as Deb F's.

Thank you all posters and WIN METHOD fans for your comments and support. And I do believe the Yankees will win 10 games in a row in a shorter time span than this 10 game win streak took.

King is Yankee opener.

Sanchez again, kills rally and possible big inning for Yanks in second. One run in, two out and one out, Sanchez on first pitch he sees grounds into a double play. He did run all out to first base and was out by 10-15 feet.

Yanks up 1-0 after 2.

Blue Jays have hit, 2 maybe 3 balls hard and have 9 runs. A lot of ground balls finding holes. Yanks have hit hard about 5 shots and only have 1 run to show for it. Jays all the hits bunched and when it matters.

Yanks down 9-1 after 4.

When Meatball hit into the DP and killed the inning in the second it looks as if the air was taken out of the Yankees. But there is time yet.

Yankees trail 11-2 after 7.

Final. Yankees lose 11-5. King and Loaisiga give up 9 runs in 3rd and 4th innings. That was it. Yankee bats showed little until scoring 3 meaningless runs in the 9th.

Sean Smith said...

Meatball 0-4 again. One thing I noticed he was running out his ground ball outs. His fully running out does not mean much since he is so pathetically slow. Boone or someone had to have gotten his ear. Play Higgy already.

Cole starts tonight to try to even Blue Jay series.

This may be Cole's last start before the playoffs. A week off.

The stat frauds are going crazy whining about who they think the Yankees should and shouldn't play in the playoffs. To put it simply if a team feels it can't beat every other team in the playoffs they aren't the best in baseball and the team that wins every one of the series of games they play will be the best team with the best players in baseball.

BIGTIMEYANKEE said...

Someplace along ant line and hopefully sooner than later Judge and Stanton need to start barreling up the baseball and hitting the ball hard in every direction. When that happens the Yankee lineup will be devastating. Voit and Lemahieu have been carrying the team for far too long by themwelves.

NYY Lineup

DJ LeMahieu (R) 2B
Aaron Judge (R) DH
Aaron Hicks (S) CF
Luke Voit (R) 1B
Gleyber Torres (R) SS
Gio Urshela (R) 3B
Clint Frazier (R) RF
Brett Gardner (L) LF
Kyle Higashioka (R) C

Best is Higashioka catching. Lineup could use some work.

No black hole in lineup + Judge wakes up + Cole solid game = Yankee win.

How smart is Yankee ace Gerrit Cole, he wants Hiroshioka as his personal catcher, so he gets a catcher who can catch pitched balls, call a better game, is not a black hole in the lineup, and a catcher that hustles all the time. It's a win win win win.

Final. Yankees win 12-1. As posted earlier today"""""""""No black hole in lineup + Judge wakes up + Cole solid game = Yankee win.""""""""" Hiroshioka with a great game offensively and defensively + Judge with 3 hits + Cole 1 run over 7 innings = Yankee win.

Judge hit the ball hard four times tonight and had three hits. He is getting to where he needs to be. Now it's Stanton's turn to get on board.

Stanley Chin said...

Tanaka tonight for what should also be his last regular season start and tune up before the playoffs.

Where are all those stat frauds who said they wouldn't shouldn't play baseball this year. The season would never get finished after it started. The playoffs would never be played. And the liberal scum who wanted everything shut down. In other words bury the idiots of this season. Vote TRUMP and save America from the garbage who will destroy it with socialist tyranny.

Dinty Moore said...

There is a good amount of time for Stanton to get his swing and contact right before the playoffs. Agree, Judge is just about there. As with any team, if the key impact players are right it makes a teams chances that much better. The playoffs is where they separate the best from the best.

yankeeclipper said...

Higashioka is hitting the best he has ever hit. There is no way on earth that the meatball Sanchez should start another game. You eliminate Sanchez you eliminate a black hole, a dreg, and a when he is on base a traffic jam. Sanchez can't run, can't take an extra base and is no help to this team compared to either Higgy or Kratz.

MAGA2020, they are hiding in their parents basements planning violent protests, destruction, and harm to civilized Americans. They, like the democrat liberal progressive politicians demean President Trump who has done more good for this country than all the democrat politicians combined. Vote Trump and vote republican.

The Yankees scored 12 runs last night and 0 were on home runs. Winning in the playoffs will be the teams that produce the most when it matters the most in the game defining situations.

Eddie OConnor said...

To go all the way in the playoffs, Happ, Monty, and Deivi will have to perform and produce also.

Hobbs said...

It is what it always has been, the team with the roster of players who produce the most when it matters the most will win the most and that roster of players will be the best in the world and world champions of baseball for 2020.
