WIN METHOD YANKEE BASEBALL SEASON 2020 shortened

Finally, it looks like we will have some semblance of a Major League Baseball season in 2020.  Baseball for 2020 was halted by a Chinese oriented deadly virus that is traveling the world and killing massive amounts of innocent people.  In March baseball was shut down as was most of America.  As most of America regains its footing and is starting to recover, so is baseball.

The MLB owners and the MLBPA (players association) yesterday have agreed to play a partial 2020 season commencing around July 23-24.   A second spring training will open July 1st, and each team will get in shape in their own home ballparks all across the nation.  There is tentatively a 60 game season that will be played.  There is always a probability what I post here may be amended by the owners, players, and baseball commissioner.  Each division will play 40 games in their own division.  That would make for 40 games, 10 with each rival in their division.  Each team would also play 4 games against each team in their opposite division for 20 games making for the total of a 60 game season.  The divisions will play each other geographically limiting travel.  East vs east, central vs central, and west vs west.  The regular season will end the last week of September.  As of now each division winner and two wild cards in each league will make the playoffs.  That is the same as the 162 game season.  The inferior AAAA national league will use the designated hitter for their games for the first time in baseball history.  The American League has used the designated hitter since April 6, 1973 when Ron Blomberg of the New York Yankees became the league's first ever designated hitter.  Also extra inning games will be started with a runner on second base which makes a mockery of the game and is a sham that demeans the game of baseball.  Not all changes are bad, however this change is bad.

The playoffs will conclude the season as usual hopefully ending in October.  In the end as it always has and hopefully always will the best players and best teams will reach the playoffs and then advance to the final series, the world's greatest sports event the WORLD SERIES.

The season without question will be shorter and different.  Look at it this way, every one of the sixty games becomes far more important and losing streaks will eliminate teams fast, while a big winning streak can carry a team right into the playoffs.  The players will need to get their heads fully into the season from the first game on.   The fun part is the WIN METHOD becomes even more important.  The players who produce when it matters most and do it the most often will lead their team through the season and into the playoffs.   Hopefully all goes well healthwise and the season can be completed.

No matter what, happens and as always, LETS GO YANKEES!

PS....thank you all, WIN METHOD fans from all over the world for your unwavering support, your comments, and for being the most intelligent baseball fans in the world.   The ignorance of the stat frauds  doesn't exist here.  They have no game.  They are  losers who love losing players.

Final. Yankees win 5-2 in extra innings. Garcia six brilliant innings in MLB debut. Meatball hits game winning grand slam homer for the win. Everyone contributes.

What impressed me the most with Deivi was his poise and confidence. I hope he earned his rotation presence for now.

Tampa in Mon, Tue, Wed. Yankees starters, Cole, Tanaka, and Monty.

Cole needs to be Cole and give up nothing. He has allowed to many HRs, runs, and genuinely many hard hit balls.

Steve(winstheonlystat} said...

Remember the standard WIN METHOD tenet, when you are playing your best you are not that good and when you are playing your worst you are not that bad. The Yankees are just coming off a run when they have been playing their worse and they are not that bad.

YankeeMike said...

Think about this fans, Boone sends up Sanchez to pinch hit for Kratz yesterday and hits game winning home run. Brilliant move by Boone, yes or no. When the player produces itis a good move and when the player fails it is a bad move, yes or no. If Sanchez strikes out like he usually does fans would be saying Kratz should have hit. Of course we don't know what Kratz would have done. A walk, a single, a double, a sac fly, we don't know and we will never know.

Tom Wilson, could it be that the cheating in Houston was so deep it involved the pitchers also. Would explain Cole and others. Could be the reason Manfred and MLB white washed the entire issue.

Tanaka tonight to try and even series. Sanchez back to an 0 for 4 last night. Cone said last night about Sanchez, "you know he isn't going to hit .300". I laughed to myself thinking he may never hit .200.

Meatball out. Probably because game is three hours earlier than a regular scheduled night game Boone figures it is a day game after a night game. Nonetheless we get a better catcher and hitter in Higgy. Last 3 1/2 weeks of the regular season. It all comes down to wins and winning. NOTHING else matters.

Unfortunately the lineup is what it is. With 1/3 of the lineup on the sidelines we play with what we have left to play and strive to make the playoffs. The starting pitchers aren't really helping that mutch, particularly on a consistent basis. Too much hot/cold/good/bad.

Wilsonsway said...

A very unique season, no doubt about it.

Cory said...

It irks me when stat frauds say the best team doesn't always win. In any given team the best team in that one game always wins. The same for a series, the best team always wins or if the series is even number of games the teams may split the series.

Now, let's take this season as an example, 30 teams, 15 in each league, and 5 teams in each division. After the 60 game regular season is concluded the 8 best teams in each league will advance to the playoff. The other 14 teams have been eliminated and a sane person would say those teams were not as good as the 16 teams that advanced to the playoffs.

For the playoffs the teams will all play as follows...Wild Card Series (best-of-three, with all games at the higher seed’s home ballpark): No. 1 seed vs. No. 8; No. 2 vs. No. 7; No. 3 vs. No. 6; No. 4 vs. No. 5.

Division Series (best-of-five, with traditional 2-2-1 home/road format): Winner of 1-8 vs. Winner of 4-5; Winner of 2-7 vs. Winner of 3-6. Home-field advantage goes to the higher seed.

League Championship Series (best-of-seven, with traditional 2-3-2 home/road format): Winner of 1-4-5-8 vs. Winner of 2-3-6-7. Home-field advantage goes to the higher seed.

World Series (best-of-seven, with traditional 2-3-2 home/road format): AL champion vs. NL champion. Home-field advantage goes to the team with the superior regular-season record.

At the conclusion of the playoffs the BEST team and BEST players for the 2020 season will be the team and players that win the World Series. To be the best you have to win. The stat frauds don't like that because it screws up their fraudulent fake stats.

There is still time. Think positive fans. Say it, and say it again, YES WE CAN!

What was lost in the loss was Happ's great start last night. He is putting the other guys to shame. Having a starter like him is golden.

We are in the first year of the new training staff and even when we hired Cressee, it was talked about that we would not see results for at least a season. The Chinese virus is the obvious 800 lb gorilla in the room. It has messed with schedules, we have had a a depleted team try to find time to play 4 doubleheaders a week, who knows what is going on in the players lives personally as well. No fans in seats which negates a truly huge home field advantage doesn't help either. Meatball would be getting unmercifully booed off the field and that could possibly help Boone decide not to play him and the management to kick him off the team. By darn he even dropped a foul popup last night 10 feet from home plate.

Call me a supreme optimist or whatever you will, but I am almost willing to chalk this season up to this bizarre world of democrat hate. Sure, I still want to win and I still want to get to the playoffs and hopefully be healthy enough then to make a run. But right now circumstances have simply robbed us of the team we thought we were getting, and I would be careful making any snap judgements based on this years crazy events. Personally, if I could take nearly the same team into next year and have next year be a normal year with a normal spring training and fans in seats and a full year under Cressee, I would take it and go to battle. If bad things continue to happen next year, then yeah, break out the axe and start cutting off heads.

Boone praised Sanchez meatball meatheads at bats last night. He did make contact. 0-4.

Deivi Garcia RHP

NYYankee lineup

D LeMahieu (R) 3B
L Voit (R) 1B
A Hicks (S) CF
C Frazier (R) RF
G Torres (R) SS
M Andújar (R) DH
B Gardner (L) LF
G Sánchez (R) C
T Wade (L) 2B

Either Boone is stubborn or an idiot. Sanchez in lineup and catching Deivi is foolish.

Guy Padikian, Unless Kratz is hurt there is absolutely no way he should not be catching tonight.

What is so good here is people state opinions before events and do not second guess after the matter. Meathead should be benched for the rest of the season.

Final. Yankees win 7-2. Fantastic seven innings from Deivi allowing just 2 runs and looked great for a 21 year old. Torres solid four RBI game with a HR and a 2 RBI double. Sanchez 0 for 3 but he did walk once.

OK now here we go. Four games in the Bronx with the Orioles. We win all four. Cole, Tanaka, Monty, and Happ. Guys start producing when it counts up and down the lineup.

All we need to do is win each of the final regular season series, get the injured back, get mentally ready for the playoffs and then play with all cylinders firing in October.

Rain likely to have an effect of some type on tonight's game in the Bronx.

Any rain outs just mean more doubleheaders.

Gerrit Cole RHP

NYY Lineup

DJ LeMahieu (R) 3B
Gleyber Torres (R) SS
Aaron Hicks (S) CF
Clint Frazier (R) RF
Miguel Andujar (R) LF
Gary Sanchez (R) DH
Mike Ford (L) 1B
Kyle Higashioka (R) C
Thairo Estrada (R) 2B

Game still on as of now. Meatball still in lineup as his ineptness gets worse every game. But he is do about now to get another hit. Voit gets game off and why anyone would use the meatball as a DH and not Voit is inconceivable. Then again maybe Voit has a minor ailment we are not privy to.

We are still getting rain and I believe the rain will impact the game to some degree tonight.
