It is that time again WIN METHOD fans. The 2019 baseball season has concluded. The best teams and the best players made it to the playoffs and after advancing through the playoffs by winning each series and eliminating each team they played, the Washington Nationals won the World Series and are the best baseball team and the best baseball players in the world. Congratulations to the Nationals for all you have accomplished. There is only one way for a team and for players to become the best of the best, and that is with wins and winning. No individual stat matters. Only wins and winning make you the best. Sorry stat frauds, when you learn this you will learn real baseball.
Yes, the 2019 season is over. The YANKEES did their best and it was not good enough as they lost to the Houston Astros in the American League Championship Series. However, it looked like the YANKEES took enough out of the Astros that it may have cost them winning the World Series. The YANKEES will need some work to do this winter to find and to put together the last few pieces they need to become the best of the best. Considering the massive amounts of crippling injuries our YANKEE team had to endure over the season, making the playoffs was a fine achievement in itself. But that was the past. Now we look to the future.
There are likely as many opinions as there are YANKEE fans on what the team needs to do over the winter to '"win it all" in 2020. There is the free agent route with several pieces available, there are our own pieces available who if healthy for an entire season will help, and then there are own in house pieces available that are blooming and growing in the minors. Several of which may contribute greatly in 2020. There are also trade possibilities that may become on option.
YANKEE management will be busy this winter. How much money to spend on talent. Is the money spent worth the investment? Paying players very high salaries for multiple years is seldom a remedy, and in fact has hurt teams who have gone that route more than it has helped them, The trade route is a possibility, but it takes two parties to make a deal that each party feels is good for their team. Then there is the bloom and grow route. Spring training will provide some answers, but the hot stove will be only ashes before spring training provides some answers. We will just have to see what happens and how things shake out this winter and spring. Each decision made by management determines how and what the next decision may be. Throwing money at big contracts is up to management. You WIN METHOD fans know my opinion on big long term contracts, 'just say no'. We said no to Harper and Machado last year and it paid dividends over the season as the YANKEES made the playoffs even with all the injuries. Harper and Machado each cost their team a lot of dollars and neither team made the playoffs and are saddled with many years of an overpaid single piece of talent.
Lets all have a fun hot stove season, keep offering your opinions, thoughts, and ideas, and be happy you are not the one making the decisions. Remember fans, the YANKEE management team has more knowledge and information than you (we) do. There must be financial limits and that is one thing everyone should remember. So, here we go, let's turn on the stove and see what we can cook up. LETS GO YANKEES.

«Oldest ‹Older 601 – 800 of 1666 Newer› Newest»Phil, I posted the above on a couple of Yankee forums and was viciously attacked. I asked them to explain their views, they did, and I explained mine. I without a shred of doubt proved my views were infallible while showing all the holes in theirs. I used common sense and logic. I was then banned from the forums with no reason given by the moderators who are only there as shills and cover for the clique of fools.
10 more days, closer and closer we get to baseball.
Steve, over the years here, the topic has come up several times. Once or twice a stat fraud or two will defend their opinions, but they get frustrated quickly when overwhelmed with common sense and real opinions which show how wrong they are. Worse for them is they don't get banned from here and they leave with their tail between their legs.
Biggest issue Yankee may face this season is at catcher because Sanchez will not have Romine to cover his slack and be the man Sanchez isn't.
The Yankees overcame monumental obstacles last season, this season should be a walk in the park, a cake walk, and or both.
Can only hope Sanchez steps up, produces when it matters most, and minimizes the loss of Romine.
Paco Duran, I hope so also, but don't count on it.
Baseball, I want baseball. Lets go Yankees.
Single digits, down to nine (9) days and Yankee spring camp opens and the fun begins.
Date by the numbers. 02/02/2020 02022020 February 2nd 2020
It all comes down to numbers. Which player had the most home runs, rbi's, saves, wins, singles, doubles, triples, walks, strikeouts by a hitter, strikeouts by a pitcher, etc, etc.
The best team and the best players also comes down to numbers. The teams led by the players with most wins earn the playoffs, the teams led by the players who advance thru each round of the playoffs do it with wins. Until the team led by their playoffs win the World Series, the best team and players in baseball.
Lets go Yankees.
If the Yankees can get through to Sanchez and straighten his head so it's not screwed on backwards, and he stops swinging wildly trying to hit 500 foot home runs on every swing, then he will be an asset to the team and not the black hole he all to often resembles.
YankeeBob, many have been saying that on this blog for the past two years.
8 days left. Eight days and Yankee spring training camp opens.
What is amazing about the success and the volume of readers of the WIN METHOD blog all over the world is the blogs non-presence on social media sights. It is fantastic and a feather in the cap of all fans who come here. The real world is still grinding along.
All hail the WIN METHOD and WIN METHOD himself.
If the Yankees have another 100 game winning season this year they will become the only MLB franchise in baseball history to have achieved this feat twice.
They have a great chance to do it. Lets go Yankees.
I don't see any reason why the Yanks shouldn't win 100 games again. I think they have improved and will continue to improve for another few years.
Winning 100 games is all well and good as long as we make the playoffs. I am hoping for anther World Series title.
When Yankee camp fully opens later next week there should be somewhere around 60 players involved. Only 26 will start the season and go north with the team.
Please WIN METHOD fans allow me to diverse from baseball for this post.
I have just learned that a great man that I admire immensely, RUSH LIMBAUGH, has been diagnosed with advanced lung cancer. He will continue to do his show as much as possible as he undergoes treatment. Let's all say a prayer for a great American, who loves this country. RUSH has done and is doing all he can to help make America great and spread the great word of conservatism to all who have the common sense to listen. God bless.
Hang in there WIN METHOD. I will pray for Rush and for his recovery and I know he can get through this battle. Yes he can.
WIN METHOD, you made me cry and I love Rush Limbaugh as I do you. Prayer is what we can do. Love ya,
You are who you are by the people you admire. I have listened to Rush on the radio from the beginning in the late 80's. He is a hero of mine and a speaker of truth. Pray is all I can do for him.
WIN METHOD, hear hear. Pray.
Being younger, I was told to listen to Rush whenever I could. I did and I haven't stopped. Rush is a great man and has done much to save this country from some very corrupt and sick people. Pray I will do.
Rush won't give up. He has been fighting for over 30 years of the radio.
Wishing Rush a speedy recovery and yes you can and yes you will.
Hang in there Rush. Take it easy and do what the doctors tell you.
Get well Rush.
My prayers are with you Rush.
On some of the social media sites there have been some very horrible and disgusting comments expressed by some people about Rush Limbaugh. Sad.
Laura Koehler, it is a shame. There are people who I may despise for their beliefs, but they have the right to their beliefs and should not be demeaned in the worst possible ways.
Fight Rush, fight. Fight the cancer like you fight for the people. I will pray for you.
Stay strong Rush. Yes you can.
7 more days, one more week.
My prayers for Rush Limbaugh. He upsets the right people and lifts the spirits of right people.
Rush is a winner. He saved radio, he has the number one radio broadcast in the world with over 30 million listeners, and Rush is right approximately 99% of the time. Rush will beat this and win again.
Andujar has been getting a lot of help with playing left field and first base. If he hits, he will play somewhere.
Andujar is just one part of all the fun that will happen during spring training right around the corner.
Mark Steyn is covering for Rush today. Steyn is fine but there is nobody like Rush Limbaugh, the best of the best. Get well Rush.
FYI....Don't forget to watch President Trumps state of the union speech tonight at 9:00PM.
I have never missed a state of the union speech. Tonights may become the best of all.
Andujar will be a player to reckon with this season.
Six (6) days until the Yankees open spring training camp 2020 in Tampa, Florida.
It looks like the bosux are giving up on the 2020 season before it even starts. Likely the sux won't even be a contender for the playoffs.
What a pleasure to listen to the state of the union speech last night. Uplifting and positive. The downer was the disrespectful display by the democrats.
Yeah, the AL East will be Yankee then Rays/Blue Jays battling for second.
At least the sux got Betts out of the AL east and dropped him into the AAAA league.
The Dodgers got a winner and Betts will help them a lot. The Dodgers also got rid of a cancer and dumped him on the sux. It was a big win win for them and a bigger loss loss for the sux.
I believe Verdugo was involved in a sexual assault case on a minor when he was in the Dodger organization and disliked by teammates.
Headed into camp this Yankee team is loaded and getting better down the road.
'''''''''' N O T Q U I L T Y ''''''''''
Now the bad news..... James Paxton will be sidelined for an expected three to four months after undergoing a microscopic lumbar discectomy operation with the removal of a peridiscal cyst. Paxton likely will be sidelined until at least early May and possibly into June.
That opens the door wide for Montgomery, King, Schmidt, and Deivi this spring. WIDE, I say.
Okie dokie, that's number 2.
1.Hick still out from last years surgery.
2.Paxton out from this years surgery.
Both extensively, likely over 150 games between both combined.
Good thing is when you know this early, you can set a plan in place. And I am sure the young pitchers will be chomping at the bit.
Hope the Yankees are not trying to break last years MLB all time one year record for injuries and time lost.
You know what WIN METHOD fans. We will do what we always do. Play over, under, and around all obstacles. Players will step up and embrace their opportunity and we will win, because, YES WE CAN.
coryankee, nice.
Come June the Yankees will have two top notch pitchers fresh to roll as the heart of the season is beginning. Paxton and German will both be fresh and ready to go.
Five more days. 5 more days. Baseball will be back. The Yankees will be back.
WIN METHOD fans are positive. The Yankee team is deeper than any other team in baseball and just as last season the Yankees will overcome injuries this year. If you are not positive you will lose games you could have won. That may be the difference between a team making the playoffs or not.
Superb site. Wish I came here long ago. Millennial Yankee fan and Donald Trump supporter. I have smart parents who taught me right from wrong.
Jacob Stiller, welcome to our blog, the best Yankee baseball blog in the world. Really liked you initial post. Post as often as you wish.
Jacob Stiller, everything you support is right on target. Keep going forward and win.
Which pitchers will make the opening season rotation? Let the competition begin.
Lets go Yankees.
Dodger, Twins, sux trade in limbo as sux try to get more from Twins because sux screwed up their evaluation of pitcher from Twins. Rumor said trade still can go thru, but with adjustments.
Four (4) more days fans. Right around the last corner.
I wouldn't be surprised that even if Deivi excels in camp he will still be sent to AAA because of his age. That is a Yankee decision and only theirs. They do know best no matter what the stat frauds think.
You never want to see any player go down with an injury. Nonetheless, when on does, like Paxton has, it only opens the door and gives youngsters a better chance to make their case and earn recognition. There are always positives if you look for them. WIN METHOD has loaded the Yankee organization with pitching talent.
Strong competition for spots is always good for everybody involved.
Even the Yankee outfield positions may turn out to be a battle. Likely Judge is the only lock at this moment.
I bet Andujar will get a lot of time in the outfield when spring training games start.
Three more days, yes down to 3 and the hot stove is pretty much out of here.
Better yet, first spring training GAME two weeks from today. Let the competition begin for in real time action.
The Yankees are scheduled to play 33 games in 32 days this spring. 2 off days but 3 days of split squad games.
Albeit a spring training exhibition game in two weeks, it is baseball and it will be back ending a dull sportsless winter.
Everyone will get a chance to impress this spring. Lets go guys, step up or step aside.
Paxton's absence opens the door for someone or two.
Yankees are clearly the best team in the AL.
Two more days to go...then on Wednesday Yankee pitchers and catchers report for the opening of spring training camp...then on Thursday the Yankees will have their first official workout...then the hills will be alive with the sound of baseballs, bats, and gloves.
If we stay healthy and if Sanchez does better than he has we need nothing. If Sanchez keeps digging the hole he has been digging we need a catcher.
If Gary Sanchez wakes up and produces when it matters most without swinging like a jerk, the Yankees may well be the most dominant team in baseball.
One more day, tomorrow is the last day of a sportsless 3 1/2 months since the final World Series game in October 2019. Wednesday, Yankee camp will officially open and baseball spring training will begin. The first spring game for the Yankees is scheduled for Saturday February 22nd. It is going to be a very good year for the Yankees and Yankee fans. Let go Yankees.
Jill Byrnes, that is an awfully big IF, but it would be fantastic if Sanchez finally see the light. Maybe someone can get through to him.
The most fun of this camp may be the young pitchers competition. Just as long as they don't overdo it and hurt themselves.
Not only do the young pitchers compete but so does Happ. Happ has the experience and could easily be a dominant pitcher. Glad the Yankee held on to him. Now, it will be interesting to see what happens if a couple of the young arms have great springs. Lets go Deivi.
Juan Pablo Garcia...I am really rooting for Deivi. It would be great for the Yankees if he is as good as he has shown so far.
I still believe that no matter what Deivi does this spring, even if it's exceptional, he will start the season in AAA, just so he can mature with less pressure.
Maturity in pitching comes with experience and learning what pitch to throw in different situations and where to throw it. Learning the hitters and what pitches they tend to swing it and not make hard contact.
Montgomery has MLB experience compared to King, Schnidt, and Deivi also, albeit far far less than Happ.
All we need is someone to hold the fort until Paxton gets back.
okiened, After Paxton, German comes back also. Then we may have seven or eight starters.
Linda Rice, and they all will be good.
Yes we can and yes we will. And we won't have to cheat.
Only the stat frauds cheat.
Zero, none, nada, 0. It's over, the respite from baseball has concluded. Yankee camp opens tomorrow and the sports world comes alive.
MLB commissioner Rob Manfred is at it again. His newest proposal is to try to screw up the playoffs beyond belief. I won't go into the specifics here but go read about it for yourselves. Manfred is grossly incompetent on almost all fronts. Just look how he has handled the cheating scandal by the Astros and sux. Not one player has been punished at all. Not one, every player involved whos cheated and not one get any punishment at all. Manfred is a joke and disgrace to baseball.
The playoff proposal is cartoonish and silly. MLB continues to try to cater to the lowbrow, limited attention stat fraud fan, who doesn't really care all that much about baseball anyway, and is playing fantasy games.
More playoffs teams, not good. Teams pick who they want to play, not good. Rob Manfred, an ignorant atrocious fool.
Got to give the stat frauds some credit on this latest MLB fiasco by Manfred. They don't like the idea either.
Keep in mind, Manfred is a foil for the owners, and all he is trying to do is increase revenue so the franchises make more money and become more valuable. Doesn't make what he is trying to do good however.
Baseball is back, that is all that matters. They have been changing rules, changing ballparks, adding lights, changing equipment, changing the ground played on, etc for decades now. Baseball will survive.
Another issue we have no control over. The powers that be have all the say. So don't worry be happy.
Mike Ford a positive arriving at camp looking very svelte.
Ford making a statement? Can he be a catcher?
Let's keep building on good news and positive results. Yes we can.
Spring camp is open, baseball is back. First spring game Saturday 2/22. Lets roll.
So. This winter we have MLB led by Rob Manfred allowing baseball players to cheat and receive no punishment whatsoever, trying to eliminate numerous minor league teams, and changing playoff rules. Oh well.
Looking down the road a bit. 1 1/2 months, 6 weeks, to opening day game.
The following are the former Yankees that the team has invited to spring training to mentor our blooming and growing youngsters.
Alfonso Soriano, Stump Merrill, Lee Mazzilli, Tino Martinez, Willie Randolph, Nick Swisher,
Mariano Rivera, Reggie Jackson, Andy Pettitte, Ron Guidry, CC Sabathia, Bernie Williams and
Hideki Matsui.
How likely is it that the Yankees will use the cheating by the Astros and sux as inspiration to win this year and do it without cheating?
Gary Shrieber, if you had unbridled inspiration to the overwhelming talent on this Yankee team, the 'savages' may leave the land barren.
First day done and no one got hurt.
As players from all teams are reporting to their training sites several are now being asked by media about their thoughts on the foul Astro and sux cheating scandal at the highest level of the game. The players have voiced dismay and disdain for the cheating players and the meaningless penalties being handed out by the inept MLB commissioner. And no penalties for none, not one, of the cheating players who get off scot free and earn higher salaries as a benefit for their cheating.
Fine each player on the cheating teams 25% of their salary for the season of cheating and take all playoff money earned by each player back and then give it to the players retirement fund.
I agree, players involved should pay a perty price.
It may also look as if Carlos Beltran was the prime culprit in the cheating.
25% of their salary is chicken feed, take 90% and set an example of the low life Astro and sux cheats.
Manfred looks to be a gutless wonder. Sadly, he is doing well at corrupting the game. Forcing a manager to have to use a pitcher to pitch to a batter he may not want him to face is a direct attack on the purity of the game itself.
If the players are allowed to get away with cheating with absolutely no punishment (and it needs to be severe enough where it hurts the players) then how can MLB punish any other players in the future.
Lloyd Fuller, I didn't think about what you pointed out. That really is a corruption of the game and I am surprised it was passed. That is a shame. Much of the fun of a close game is the back and forth between each manager trying to out maneuver his counterpart. No more. Just not right. Manfred is probably catering to the brain dead young fans who do not know their A from their E.
No games yet...Andujar has been moving very well in the outfield.
Manfred pitcher rule is stupid.
Who will be the first team to cheat the utter fool Rob Manfred rule that a pitcher must pitch to three batters, by using an upchuck pill on their pitcher to feign sickness.
We will play by the rules whatever they may be.
No question in my mind. If you cheat you should pay some kind of price. Particularly the people who actually did the cheating, the PLAYERS. Wake up Manfred!
It appears that Beltran and Cora were the originators and mainstream violators. Do the right thing and ban both from baseball for life. Hinch for the year is fine, but also fine him 90% of his salary.
If there is no punishment for the players involved then the cheating will continue. Then how can you justify punishing future cheaters. A can of ugly worms is being opened by an incompetent commissioner of baseball.
Zhaire....hear hear.
Gary Sanchez looked good in batting practice, but it was batting practice. Lob balls.
This is how the dumb stat fraud clowns think....""The Dodgers won 106 games and just added a 7-10 win player"". He was referring to Mookie Betts. Ignorance abounds on the stat fraud sites.
Look for JA Happ to at least match his .600% w/l record from last season. Winning at a 60% clip makes for a very solid starter and for a bottom of the rotation guy that is exceptional. The Yankees even with Paxton and German both out for a couple of months the Yankees have the best pitching staff in baseball for 2020.
Rumor has Alex Rodriguez (afraud) and Jennifer Lopez interested in buying Mets. From Beltran to afraud, one cheat to another.
LOL...That would be interesting if it comes about.
""""""" Steve said...

How laughable is the notion that there are any man made convoluted predictive formulas that define how many wins a team SHOULD have, or that any one player should add or subtract a certain amount of wins. And if you deviate from the formula that it is "fluky". Thank goodness baseball is still played on the field. With human beings.
Hope everyone and a very nice Valentines Day. It was quiet here on the blog.
YES will be televising Yankee first spring training game next Saturday Feb 22 at 1 PM.
It appears the new staffing changes made by the Yankees in several on field baseball positions is making inroads.
Knock on wood, no injuries of any note.
After the stat frauds were all in lock sync wanting the Yankees to acquire losers Machado and Harper, now the fools want the Yankees to get Arenado, another whining loser. What fools these stat frauds be.
Happy Presidents Day everyone. And God bless our great President Donald Trump.
KevMac, the stat frauds seem to love to pay out big dollars to high individual stat players who play for themselves, gain their free agency and then sign only for as much money as they can get. In the mean time the dumb fans keep praising them as they don't make their team better. I guess they do well in their meaningless brain dead fantasy leagues.
Between Happ, Monty, King, Schmidt, Cessa, Deivi, etc there will be some battle for rotation spots. Deivi may turn out to be the best, but being the youngest AAA may be in his immediate future.
I am relatively new here and I have read this entire blog. I have noticed that people here consistently invite, what you call 'stat frauds' to post here, but they do not. I have wondered why. I have seen why, this blog uses common sense, facts, and more common sense. The stat frauds use make believe, man made dumb formulas, and ignorance as their soap box.
Tom Wilson, everyone uses stats to some degree. It is how they are used and how to interpret them that shows the difference from winners and losers. An RBI late in the game that you are winning big means nothing. An RBI late in the game that helps your team win is very important. It is not the total RBI's that any player amasses that is important, it is when the RBI is produced that matters. And that goes for every aspect and every stat of the game. We have had stat frauds tell us that ERA is more important in evaluating pitchers than their wins are. They have stated that they rather have five starters with 3.25 ERA's than five starters with 4.25 ERA's. Even if their fives starters with 3.25 ERA's win 75 games and the five starters with 4.25 ERA's win 85 games. They will argue to the death that their starters are better. There is where the common sense that you mentioned comes into play. The key to the WIN METHOD is the players who produce when it matters the most for their team creates more win for their team. The more wins teams earn the higher to go in the standing with the best teams winning the most and going to the playoffs. That is what the WIN METHOD says. The best players and the best teams win the most and advance through the playoffs the most. You have to win to be the best.
As players report to spring training camps in Florida and Arizona they are being asked about the Astro/bosux cheating scandal. Many are very unhappy with the cheating players and feel they should be punished and not get off free. There is much more and you all need to read about it and complain about the inept incompetent commissioner who is allowing and accepting the cheating. Manfred needs to be run out of town on a rail and forfeit his salary.
So many Yankees are coming off many missed games injuries in 2019 and they are all looking for a gigantic bounce back season here in 2020.
If you do not get the YES network you can watch the Yankee first spring training game this Saturday the 22nd on MLBtv via the YES feed. 1:OOPM.
Yankeeforever, thank you.
Everyone in action today as first full workout day is here.
Judge will participate in all drills today but will not take batting practice, right shoulder issue that is being described as nothing to worry about.
I saw a post a couple of weeks ago here that was a quote from a stat fraud about WAR and a player adding 'X' amount of wins to his new team. To make thinks crystal clear to all intelligent baseball fans the convoluted man made stat of WAR is totally, completely, and utterly useless and is only used and believed in by the stupidest of baseball fans. The developers of WAR perpetrated a scam on gullible baseball fans who fell for their garbage. When you talk baseball with anyone and they stat a view or an opinion based on WAR, just walk away and save yourself the futility of talking with an idiot.
Hobbs, perfectly and accurately stated. WAR is nothing.
WAR = waste and regurgertation!
WAR, if you use common sense and logic cannot work nor even be useful in any way, shape, or form. Think about it WIN METHOD fans. Artificial formulas are just that -- artificial.
The most important thing for EVERY baseball fan to remember is that WINS are created with the contributions of every single member of the team contributing in their own way in every way they can. Producing the most at the most important times of each game determines who wins the game. That is the WIN METHOD.
johnsondc, perfectly stated. You hit the nail squarely on the head. Your post destroys each and every point any and all stat frauds can make. Hear, hear.
To put yesterday's discussion in simple terms. If a lower stat player (who gets paid less than the higher stat player) produces more when it matters than the higher stat player (who gets paid more than the lower stat player) and he helps his team win more games, he is the better player. It is not how much or how many, but when you produce that determines the best players and teams. EXCEPT FOR THE TEAMS WHO CHEAT
will-i-am, It seems the younger fans are looking to be led by the nose to the trough of ignorance with those man made formulas. That way they don't have to think for themselves.
Leo Danzinger, I wonder if the frauds ever try to wonder why their high stat players lose so much. It appears they have been brainwashed into just saying it is the high stat teammates fault. None of them are any good so the high stat guy can't win. If he goes to a winning team then he would win too. As we know, that ain't so, the high stat loser far to many times just makes the winning team a loser when he arrives and if he moves to another losing team he doesn't help them win because he is the problem.
Derek Jeter has been the best player in baseball over the past 25 years, helping his team to more wins, more playoffs, and more World Series than any other position player in baseball. You know what, he was not a high individual stat player, but he produced more wins for his team than any other player over those 25 years. Production when it matters most, rules over fake made up stats.
Injury update after one week of spring training. Hick--pre-existing injury, surgery, out until July. Paxton--possible pre-existing cyst, surgery, out until June. Judge, shoulder tenderness, no batting practice but ok for other workouts, No out time.
Let's keep any serious injuries to a minimum. Paxton's in really not a baseball related injury. Hicks' is from last year. And Judge's may be minimal.
It's getting closer. Lets go Yankees.
Don't forget fans, we get to see players in action in two days. Saturday 1pm mlbtv.
Louie Louie is having forearm and elbow issues. May not be ready to start season or worse? How do we let guys go all off season and not know any of these issues until camp starts?
The door just keeps opening wider and wider for the young pitchers.
There is nothing we can do about it but hope for the best.
Watch for Clarke Schmidt. He was WIN METHOD's pick for the Yankees two years ago and the Yankee took him first knowing he would miss two years. He is ready now. Watch him this spring.
Deivi Garcia was among the hurlers who shined in live batting practice this afternoon. The 20-year-old right-hander faced a group that included Clint Frazier, Chris Gittens, Giancarlo Stanton and Mike Tauchman.
Montgomery, King, Schmidt, Garcia, Loaisiga, let the good times roll.
I bet the Yankees are 'punking' the stat frauds when they put out the blurbs on 'injured' players just to see all the stupid comments the frauds make.
Ivan Noriokos ---- LOL, the stat frauds believe in make believe, but are unable to understand reality.
First spring game in just over 24 hours. Lets go Yankees. Come on youngins' bloom and grow.
I think Happ and King will pitch in tomorrow's game among others. Where will Andujar be.
Today's the day. The Yankees will play their first spring training game. You will only see a few of the regulars each day in each game until later in spring training. The regulars not in games will be working out at the training complex and all will get their playing time built up slowly but surely.
0-0 after 4.
Final, Yankees lose 2-1. No injuries. Happ, King, Cessa all did well pitching wise.
Loaisiga listed as tomorrows Yankee starter.
Go figure...the Yankees who train in Tampa are playing a road game today with Tampa in Port Charlotte where Tampa trains.
Cole has been named as tomorrows starting pitcher. Should be on TV I would think.
Positive takeaway today so far was Andujar with his great defense turns an around the horn double play and hits opposite field home run. Sweet.
Game two of spring training. Yankees go down 9-7. Typical wild spring training game with many 'right now' bottom level players getting much playing time. As the days go by, the cuts will happen as guys are sent to their minor league camps, the 40 man roster guys will get more time in games and the quality of the games will rise.
Yankee game with Pirates tonight is at 6:30 and as far as I can see there is no TV broadcast. Cole is starting.
Over the first two spring games the Yankees have used only three regulars in their starting lineup while both the Blue Jays and Rays used their full regulars.
First post surgery evaluation of Paxton is very positive. Paxton may be in rotation earlier than June. Think positive WIN MEWTHOD fans. Stat fraud negativity breeds losses.
Cole with a scoreless first and Monty with a scoreless second.
Monty goes another scoreless inning in the third.
Holder pitches a scoreless fourth but allows first hit of game. A two out double.
Holder pitches to one batter in fifth for an out. Otero in and gets the next two outs.
Gil pitches sixth inning and allows first run of game.
Gil pitches the seventh and gives up another run. Yankees down 2-0 mid seventh.
Yankee score three in seventh on singles from four minor leaguers and take 3-2 lead after seven innings.
Rosa pitches eighth for Yankees and strikes out the side.
Otto pitches ninth and gives up tying run. 3-3.
Final 3-3 tie.
Latest word on Judge, he is fine.
Cessa starts today against Toronto on the road in Dunedin. 1 PM
