We are halfway thru the 2019 baseball season and the YANKEES are in first place, playing great WIN METHOD baseball while overcoming countless injuries to so many vital players, some of which who haven't played an inning so far this season. Players have stepped up with almost everyone producing when it counts most and winning games. We all know wins and winning are the only stats that matter. We here laud and praise winning players and teams while the stat frauds and talking heads laud losing players for what the losers accomplish for themselves. Then to defend their adoration of the high stat losers, the frauds blame the players teammates. As the YANKEES enter the second half of the 2019 season the team just needs to keep winning and keep playing WIN METHOD baseball.
YANKEE management is on the prowl for an acceptable starting pitcher to sign before the July 31st deadline. There are only a couple WIN METHOD qualified pitchers available so many of the names being thrown around will not be a Yankee. Hopefully things will work out and the Yankees will get what they want. It takes two parties to make a deal, unless you are foolish and overpay and wind up not getting a decent deal.
The other great news is, this morning the YANKEES have signed a sixteen year old named Jasson Dominguez from the Dominican Republic. All I can say is WIN METHOD, WIN METHOD, WIN METHOD. Jasson's father is a lifelong YANKEE fan. The YANKEES had to pay a pretty penny for Jasson. Somewhere around a five million dollar signing bonus because he was coveted by many other MLB teams. Jasson reminds me of Mickey Mantle. For you younger fans here, look up what Mickey Mantle did over his career to help lead the YANKEES to great success for many seasons. I am very pleased with this signing and hoping Jasson blooms and grows achieving greatness in helping lead the YANKEES in future years.
Thank you WIN METHOD fans for your never ending support on this blog. You all live in reality, and you all know baseball, and you all know wins and winning determines the best players and the best teams. As the YANKEES play these final three months of the regular season, lets all root for and support our NY YANKEES. LETS GO YANKEES.

«Oldest ‹Older 801 – 1000 of 1269 Newer› Newest»Paxton starts today in final game of nine game western states road trip. A Yankee win means a sweep of the Mariner series, a winning road trip, and at least a 10 1/2 game division lead.
We can end the trip the way it started. One sweep deserves another.

Wade at SS and Torres a DH. Lets get the sweep and have a sweet flight home.
Seattle has batted in 18 innings against the Yankees these last two games and have scored in only 1 inning, a 3 run home run, and been shutout in the other 17 innings.
Sanchez 2 run Ballantyne blast in first puts Yankees up 2-0.
Still 2-0 after 3.
Ford and Judge 5th inning home runs give Yankees 6-2 lead after 5.
That was some inning Paxton had in the 4h. Walked four men and allowed the only hit he gave up in the game after five innings. He lost all control but only gave up 2 runs. It could have been much worse.
Paxton went five innings 2 runs on 1 hit. One rotten inning and four great innings. Green in for 2 innings and both were uneventful zeroes.
Final. Yankees win 7-3. Paxton the win. Sanchez, Ford, Judge, LeMahieu all with home runs.
Sweep this series and a winning 5-4 road trip after losing the first three games.
A fine road trip. Increased our division lead. Off day tomorrow and then weekend series with the A's who will be taken down.
CC, German, and Happ have been named for the Oakland visit.
From now to the end of the regular season, it will all about who will get roster spots for the playoffs, getting players back, and getting those who make the playoff roster in the right mindset.
The fat lady is warming up her vocal chords and will officially be ready to sing shortly as the Yankees have opened an 11 1/2 game lead on the second place Tampa Bay Rays. Off day today for Yankees, and well deserved. Enjoy guys, you have given Yankee fans a season to remember and a season for the ages.
Yes Teena. How sweet it has been this year. Yes they can and yes they did. Lets go Yankees.
For the ignorant stat doubters, with a little over a month before the playoffs, all the Yankee injured pitchers have more than enough time to fully ready for the playoffs. Louie Louie, Monty, Betances. All of which we WIN METHOD fans knew weeks ago.
If the Yankees only play .500 ball the rest of the games they will still win over 100 games.
No team in baseball over the past 25 years has accomplished what the Yankees have accomplished. Thank you WIN METHOD.
Win or lose I am looking forward to the playoffs this season and the experience and seasoning our youngsters will gain. Then looking forward to what next season will bring for this powerhouse team. Just hope the Yanks front office doesn't throw much money for a long term high dollar contract. We have everything we need in house.
Friday night game, then 3 day games Sat, Sun, and Mon.
Take this series and move on to the next one. Will Voit start Friday game?
If Voit is activated and plays 1B, Urshela can rest his groin for a game or two. LeMahieu plays 3B, Torres 2B, and Didi SS,
Everyone will get rested for this final month, and everyone will play to stay sharp. Louie Louie will be eased into the rotation and the playoff roster will be named and then it's off to the races of the second season.
Can you imagine the live arm Louie Louie will have. He could be the oppositions worst nightmare.
Lets go Yankees Win it all.

Urshela placed on the 10 day DL.
Through this entire season this Yankee team hasn't missed a beat, a minor misstep here and there, but they have been great.
Yanks down 1-0 after 2.
CC out after 3 innings. Knee acting up. Cessa in for the 4th.
Yanks up 2-1 after 4.
Kahnle in for the 6th and blows the 2-1 lead giving up 3 runs putting Yankees down 4-2.
Yanks down 4-2 after 6.
Yankee bullpen pathetic tonight as they turn a 2-1 five inning lead to being down 8-2 coming to bat in the ninth. Kahnle will take the loss as he set the stage for the likely defeat.
Final. Yankees lose 8-2. Billygoats, Kahnle and Gearrin. Not a good game for the Yankees.
Production when i matters could easily have determined a different outcome for last nights game. The Yankees led 2-1 after five innings, BUT they had a chance o open a 3,4,5 run lead or more. With the bases loaded and no outs the Yankees scored just one run. Tauchman hit into a double play, one run scored and two outs were made. One play can change the direction on a game. Another, Kahnle comes in to pitch the sixth inning with the Yankees leading 2-1. The usually very reliable and competent Kahnle gives up 3 runs, all of his own doing, and Yankees fall behind 4-2. Two Yankee failures when it mattered = loss.

Need a win to get even today. German going for 18th win. Lets do it guys.
It really doesn't matter what the Yankee lineup is, all that matters is producing when it matters. More important, it doesn't matter who produces, all that matters is producing when it matters.
Yanks up 1-0 after 2.
Sanchez HR gives Yankees 1-0 lead after 2.
Yanks down 2-1 after 4.
Sanchez second HR of game ties it at 2 after five innings.
2-2 after 6.
Ottavino gives up a run in 7h. Yanks down 3-2. Kahnle yesterday and Ottavino today.
Britton starts the 8th, gets 2 out and then calls to dugout and is taken out with some issue.
Judge home run in 8th ties game 3-3.
3-3 after 8.
Chance for a walk off win as Chapman goes a scoreless 9th.
Extra innings. Gardner lines into a double play with runner on first running and is doubled off. Ball would have been in left field corner and likely won the game with runner going.
Gearrin in for 10h and likely we are doomed.
Final. Yankees win 4-3 in 11. LeMahieu hit the first pitch in the 11th inning and walked off with a game winning HR. Series tied with rubber game tomorrow.
Great example of failure when it mattered. Yankees 0-1 with RISP today, but got four HR's, one to tie the game in the 8th when it mattered and one in the 11th to win the game when it mattered most. The A's went 1-10 with RISP and lost the game because just one hit in one of the nine failures would have won the game for them. That is WIN METHOD not fake individual meaningless stats.
I guess Gearrin was the 'next man up' today. Pitched scoreless 10th and 11th to earn the win.
Rubber game tomorrow with Happ starting and he may be pitching in September trying to make the playoff roster.

C Frazier (R) DH
M Tauchman (L) LF
Rubber game. Hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend.
0-0 after 2.
Happ works five scoreless innings. A sixth?
Happ pitches 6th and has a 1,2,3 inning. Goes six scoreless and should be done for the day.
0-0 after 6.
Yanks down 4-3 after 8. Minor league roster filler Dull gives up 3 runs in 7th and Adams 1 in 8th putting Yankees down 4-0, but Yanks score 3 in bottom of 8th.
Unbelievable, ninth inning Gardner leads off with HR to tie game at 4. Ford pinch hits for Frazier and hits game winning walk off HR for a 5-4 win. SAVAGES! WIN METHOD!
Final. Yankees win 5-4 on another walk off victory. Gardner and Ford hit back to back game tying and game winning home runs in bottom of ninth.
What a great never give up win. What fun this team is.
Here is the garbage the nyy forum loser ignorant posters posted when the Yankee fell behind 4-0 in todays game.

Yep. They didn’t want to use the big 3 three days in a row. They literally sacrificed a game to keep the bullpen “fresh”."""
None of them had hope, they gave up, they are stat frauds, they are losers of life's lottery.
Yes we can, and yes we did. Take series with two back to back walk off HR wins.
Steve, that is why you, I, and so many other posters here get banned at those garbage forums. We think positive, we don't give up until it's over, and we know WINS are what matters. You called it, they post as losers, mentally challenged losers of life's lottery.
Stay away from Gerrit Cole this winter, we have better blooming and growing. And their arms will be fresh and strong. Several coming back from injuries which drastically shortened each's 2019 season. The 20's will be a golden decade for the Yankees.
Guys, the stat frauds can't even come here and try to defend themselves. There is no defense for no integrity and ignorance.
Texas Rangers come to town for three games, Monday afternoon and Tuesday and Wednesday nights.
Deb F, The negativity, the back stabbing of the entire Yankee organization, and the failure to understand winning baseball defines far too many fans who do not have the mental capacity to understand there is only one thing that determines the best players and teams.
Tanaka tomorrows starter. Keep winning guys.

Gardner and Didi off. Frazier and Wade in. First game of three game series. Lets go Yankees.
Start this series with a win. Who has the better chance of producing when it counts this game, Frazier or Wade?
Boston/Yankee, I hope they both do. Also a few others too. Would be nice to have an easy win.
Yes, the Yankees are in a game delay, but the game will be played.
First pitch announced for 3:55PM.
Yanks down 1-0 after 2.
Tanaka has only given up one thru four innings but he is not sharp, laboring, and is grinding it out.
Tanaka gives up another run in 5th and then Frazier saves him from allowing another run by throwing runner out at the plate.
Interesting, that Tanaka six innings allowing the 2 runs and gets credited with a quality start.
Cortes melts down in 8th giving up 4 runs and Yanks trail 6-0 mid 8th. Not very promising.
Final. Yankees lose 7-0. First shutout in 220 games. Last shutout June 30 of last year. Game takeaway, Frazier still very poor fielder. Lineup was very flat today. Try to get even tomorrow.
Talk about meaningless stats, how about quality starts. When a pitcher starts a game he has three outcomes. One, he earns the win and did his job to help his team win. Two, he gets a no decision and kept his team in the game with a chance to win. Three, he earns the loss and did not help his team.
Paxton tomorrow to try to even series.
What will be will be, we will always play the hand we are dealt and make the best of all situations. Yes we can, yes we will.
I am getting very tired of seeing and hearing about Clint Frazier. Trade him or let him play in AAA. Let him grow out his hair, and play somewhere else, just trade him already.

I know i can't happen, but I have come to expect the Yankees will win every game they play. But alas, the opposition does not feel the same way.
Lets get back to winning.
Yankees score first and lead 2-0 after one inning on Gary Sanchez two run home run.
Yanks up 2-0 after 2.
Yanks up 2-0 after 4.
Yankees break game open in 6th. Didi 3 run HR, Gardner 2 run HR, Sanchez solo HR his second of game for 8-0 lead and still batting.
Yanks up 8-0 after 6.
Paxton out after seven with a 10-0 lead. He gave up one hit in a totally dominate outing. Loaisiga in for the eighth.
Final. Yankees win 10-1. Paxton spectacular. Rubber game tomorrow.
No starter named for Yankees yet for tomorrow.
The 2019 season in ten game segments.
Games:
01- 10 ...... 5 - 5
11- 20 ...... 5 - 5 = 10-10
21- 30 ...... 7 - 3 = 17-13
31- 40 ...... 7 - 3 = 24-16
41- 50 ...... 9 - 1 = 33-17
51- 60 ...... 5 - 5 = 38-22
61- 70 ...... 5 - 5 = 43-27
71- 80 ...... 9 - 1 = 52-28
81- 90 ...... 6 - 4 = 58-32
91-100 ...... 7 - 3 = 65-35
100-110 ..... 6 - 4 = 71-39
111-120 ..... 8 - 2 = 79-41
121-130 ..... 5 - 5 = 84-46
131-140 ..... 7 - 3 = 91-49
Very strong run of ten games which just about guarantees the division crown for the Yankees.
Baseball is truly about wins and winning. You are not the best unless you win. Only wins allow the best teams and best players to make the playoffs.
The Yanks worst combined sets of ten games they played 25-25. The other 90 games they played 66-24. That is .733 baseball.
Cory, great stuff. Seeing the 10 game segments listed like you do is very enlightening.
Chad Green will be opener in tomorrows game.
Tonight is a bullpen game. We have plenty of arms, if we score like yesterday we win easily.
When it counts and when it matters. The past two games the Yankees are 1-1. Our two starters each pitched 'quality starts'. If the Yankees divided the runs they scored in the games they could have won both games, but they over produced in one game and under produced in the other.
The end result is the stat frauds only look at the overall stats of each player and rate their abilities in that manner giving very false results. The WIN METHOD would look at the W/L record and say you have a .500 team and you are not going to the playoffs. Extrapolate the same scenario over the entire season and you will get great results for some players albeit those results would be meaningless and the team would not make the playoffs.
We lost game one of this series and now are in another rubber game to win this series. We will lose one at some point. Maybe not today however. As the DL'd work their way back the momentum keeps building.
Cory. Thanks, love your charts and look forward to them. Fourteen, ten game segments and not one of them negative. Wins are what matters and the only stat that matters.

Very short term but since they were both called up for September Wade has outperformed Frazier so far.
0-0 after 2.
Yanks up 3-0 after 4.
Yanks up 4-0 after 6.
Final. Yankees win 4-1. Judge and Torres home runs. Green 2, Cessa 3, Ottavino 1, Kahnle 1, Britton 1 scoreless innings. Gearrin (scrub) gives up solo home run in 9th. Yanks take series.
Peaceful lackluster win tonight. Yankees used six pitcher with the last one allowing a solo home run in the 9th. Off day tomorrow.
Next series, four games in Boston with the sux, Fri, Sat, Sun, and Mon. German, Happ, Tanaka, and Paxton have been listed as the Yankee starters.
The four games with the sux should be fun. They are desperately trying to make the playoffs and pulling out all stops trying to pull a rabbit out of a hat as the Yankees play fun WIN METHOD baseball.
I know it will be a big thing with he idiot stat frauds, but I will express my opinion right now. There is no way on this God's earth I would sign Gerrit Cole for the money he will be seeking this winter. With Paxton, Louie Louie, German, and Tanaka as four starters barring injuries, we have Montgomery, Schmidt, King, Garcia, etc in the running for the fifth spot and the others ready to fill if injuries occur. Cole would be a tremendous waste of money and absolutely not worth it.
Yankee AAA and AA teams made the second season. And they did so even when the Yankees used many of their playoffs on the MLB level.
reinvaldez, I agree, only a fool would spend massive millions on a player who would not help your team any more than a player you already control, is younger, and likely will do better.
Saul Irving, but the stat frauds love certain high individual stat players who do not help their team to success.
I said it before and I'll say it again. There is no player worth 30 million dollars a year. No one, none, natta, nil, zero, zip, now I sound like I'm quoting stat fraud IQ's.

It wasn't a question of producing when it mattered last, we didn't have any chance to produce.
0-0 after 2.
Overdue, but finally Yankee bats wake up. Score 4 in the top of the 4th.
Yanks up 4-0 after 4.
Yanks up 4-0 after 6.
Happ throws 6 1/3 innings of scoreless ball, 2 hits, 1 walk, 7 K's for a gem dominant outing and is making a playoff statement.
Yanks up 4-0 after 8.
Final. Yankees win 5-1. Happ brilliant. Yanks one strong inning for 4 runs. Chapman gives up meaningless HR with 2 outs in 9th for sux only run.
Tanaka tomorrow in the despised Sunday night game.
I would like to see a little more run production from the Yankees.
Now the stat frauds are worried about home field advantage for the playoffs. If you can't beat a team on their field you are in trouble. We can beat any team anywhere, we are WIN METHOD.
Yankeeforever, the stat frauds don't know baseball. They can have whatever opinions they wish, but they are irrelevant to the real world and usually meaningless displaying no concept of baseball and what it takes to win.

Almost. After using the same lineup Friday and Saturday, Boone makes one change today. Same players, but he flip flops Gardner and Voit.
Lets earn another win, lets go Yankees.
Torres 2 run HR puts Yanks up 2-0 in 2nd.
Tauchman two run home run gives Yankees 6-4 lead thru four innings as Tanaka struggles and is getting hit hard.
Yankees bring Green in for fifth. Tanaka gives up 4 runs in four innings, was ineffective and can't win the game. Green is no in line for the win and throws a 1,2,3 fifth.
Final. Yankees win 10-5. One downer of game was Tanaka's performance. Yankees clinch at least a series split and can win series with a win tomorrow. Bats pounded sux pitching. The sux have used 23 pitchers in these three games.
With a split of the four game sux series ensured James Paxton starts tonight for the Yankees to try to win the series three games to one.
Everyone knows Tauchman came out of last nights game with a calf injury. He is getting MRI and specialists opinion in NYC today. Hope for the best.
Gardner should be the only lefty bat in lineup tonight.
Produce like last night and we should win again. After Tanaka's poor effort last night, Paxton may be able to claim the number one starter role.
If Gardner is the only left handed bat tonight, then Didi sits, and infield is Urshela 3b, Torres ss, LeMahieu 2b.

Gardner only left handed bat. Romine in for Sanchez, Adam and Vinny nailed it. Brilliant WIN METHOD posters.
If Paxton pitches the way he has the past several games, he and the Yankees will be tough to beat. They still have to play the game and earn the win.
Tauchman out 6-8 weeks which likely means he is done for the year. Just about time for Stanton to ride in on a white horse.
Likely now with Tauchman down Frazier will get some more playing time to make a fool of himself. He's got to be gone before 2020.
Frazier may very well have a solid career somewhere else, but he will never with the Yankees.
0-0 after 2.
0-0 after 4.
Romine fifth inning home run is first run of game. Yankees lead 1-0 after five in an old fashioned pitchers duel.
Paxton goes six scoreless innings and leads 1-0.
Yanks up 1-0 after 6.
Urshela home run ignites 3 run seventh inning by Yanks who take 3-0 lead.
Sorry, 4-0 lead.
Paxton starts 7th, gets 2 outs, gives up a walk and comes out of the game leading 4-0. Another great outing from him.
Final. Yankees win 5-0. Paxton earns win with dominant 6 2/3 innings of shutout pitching. Romine and Urshela home runs. Yankees take series 3 games to 1 and eliminate the sux from any chance of winning the division.
Yanks head to Detroit for a three game series starting tonight. Yanks haven't named a starting pitcher yet.

Lets hope the Tigers don't hit the ball to left field. Will Frazier produce.
Frazier needs to be gone, but not until he helps us win a few more games.
Lets go Yankees.
Gardner home run in first, Gardner home run in second, Yanks up 6-0 after 1 1/2 innings.
Yanks up 6-0 after 2.
Errors by Torres and Sanchez and poor pitching by Cortes and Cessa give the Tigers 6 runs in 3rd. 6-6 after 3.
Yanks up 7-6 after 4.
Yanks down 10-8 after 6.
Gearrin and Loaisiga give up 3 runs in 6th putting Yankees down 10-8 thru 6 after leading 6-0.
Encarnacion 2 run HR ties it at 10, followed by Didi HR for an 11-10 Yankee lead in 7th. One heck of a wild game.
Now will Boone bring in a pitcher that gives up nothing.
Another Sanchez passed ball costs another run. Ottavino can't throw a scoreless inning. 11-11 after 7.
Clint Frazier is absolutely pathetic.
Chance Adams loses it in 9th. 12-11. An embarrassing loss.
Final. Yankees lose 12-11. Billygoats, on the field, too many to mention. Biggest, in the dugout, the guy that allowed this farce to occur, Aaron Boone. I was sick watching this game and the management of it. I can only hope it was a giant learning experience and something good comes out of it.
Not at all good tonight. In a word, a disgraceful exhibition.
If George Steinbrenner were alive, Boone would be fired for this one game. No excuse.
Saul Irving, hear hear.
I can't come up with a reason for what happened tonight.
Remember fans, Aaron Boone did not throw a pitch, did not swing a bat, and did not field a ball. The players on the field lost the game because of what they did or did not do on the field when their manager gave them a chance to play.
bigbadwolf, you are correct. If we are to blame a manager for a loss we must also give him credit for a win.
