WIN METHOD --- MID SEASON 2019 --- GREAT NEWS TWO TIMES

We are halfway thru the 2019 baseball season and the YANKEES are in first place, playing great WIN METHOD baseball while overcoming countless injuries to so many vital players, some of which who haven't played an inning so far this season.  Players have stepped up with almost everyone producing when it counts most and winning games.  We all know wins and winning are the only stats that matter.   We here laud and praise winning players and teams while the stat frauds and talking heads laud losing players for what the losers accomplish for themselves.  Then to defend their adoration of the high stat losers, the frauds blame the players teammates.   As the YANKEES enter the second half of the 2019 season the team just needs to keep winning and keep playing WIN METHOD baseball.

YANKEE management is on the prowl for an acceptable starting pitcher to sign before the July 31st deadline.  There are only a couple WIN METHOD qualified pitchers available so many of the names being thrown around will not be a Yankee.  Hopefully things will work out and the Yankees will get what they want.  It takes two parties to make a deal, unless you are foolish and overpay and wind up not getting a decent deal.

The other great news is, this morning the YANKEES  have signed a sixteen year old named Jasson Dominguez from the Dominican Republic.   All I can say is WIN METHOD, WIN METHOD, WIN METHOD.  Jasson's father is a lifelong YANKEE fan.  The YANKEES had to pay a pretty penny for Jasson.  Somewhere around a five million dollar signing bonus because he was coveted by many other MLB teams.   Jasson reminds me of Mickey Mantle.  For you younger fans here, look up what Mickey Mantle did over his career to help lead the YANKEES to great success for many seasons.  I am very pleased with this signing and hoping Jasson blooms and grows achieving greatness in helping lead the YANKEES in future years.

Thank you WIN METHOD fans for your never ending support on this blog.   You all live in reality, and you all know baseball, and you all know wins and winning determines the best players and the best teams.  As the YANKEES play these final three months of the regular season, lets all root for and support our NY YANKEES.    LETS GO YANKEES.

With all the talent the Yankees have in the pipeline, I hope don't don't overpay for any FA pitcher on the market. You'll love this guys:::Shows how meaningless and useless individual stats and convoluted man mad stats are.

Read on,

""""""We all know DJL is in the hunt for batting title but I didn't realize how two other Yankees are top 20.
11th is Torres (.286), and Voit (.279) is 13th.

Of course, the Sox have 4 of the top 6 and #20 as well. They also have two of the top 5 RBI guys in the AL and 4 of the top 10 Runs Created per 27 Inning (Yankees have 3- DJL, Voit and Torres). It's really amazing they are only 77-70. The are the #4 offense in all of baseball and their pitching is #22. Wild.

Also while I'm doing the stats nerd thing, Mike Trout is at 10.4 runs created/27 innings. The next three closest are Bogarts (7.67), Betts (7.59), JD Martinez (7.45) Meadows of the Rays (7.28) and then Boston again with Devers (7.28). DJL is #7 with 6.99.

Takeaways: Trout is on another planet
Our best hitter, DJL, is the 5th best hitter on the Red Sox.

Based on WAR:

The best yankee pitcher, including starters, is Ottavino and then Britton (both about 2.2). They are #68 and 70 respectively.

Paxton and German are tied for the highest WAR for Yankees starters at 1.8, #85/86 in baseball. Tanaka is #117 (1.4). Happ is #176 with 0.9. CC has 0.4 ERA. That means CC and Happ could basically be replaced by a average AAA callup and it wouldn't be that big of a deal.

In terms of QS%, the best starter is Tanaka (47%), which is good for #54 in MLB. Happ is the next best with .28, then #75 Paxton (46%) and #76 German (45%).

That's a really bad rotation.""""""

Perfect documentation of the ignorance of stat frauds.

Steve, according to what the stat fraud posted, if the Yankees 2 best WAR pitchers were 2.2 wins above average, then there is no possible way for the Yankees to be in first place because they also did not have enough hitting to compensate since the Yankees best hitter is only 5th best if on the sux. Man oh man what garbage WAR is.

The 2019 season in ten game segments.
Games:

21- 30 ...... 7 - 3 = 17-13
31- 40 ...... 7 - 3 = 24-16
41- 50 ...... 9 - 1 = 33-17
51- 60 ...... 5 - 5 = 38-22
61- 70 ...... 5 - 5 = 43-27
71- 80 ...... 9 - 1 = 52-28
81- 90 ...... 6 - 4 = 58-32
91-100 ...... 7 - 3 = 65-35
100-110 ..... 6 - 4 = 71-39
111-120 ..... 8 - 2 = 79-41
121-130 ..... 5 - 5 = 84-46
131-140 ..... 7 - 3 = 91-49
141-150 ----- 7 - 3 = 98-52

Another 7-3 segment. Back to back 7-3 segments. In the final run to the finish when the pressure is its highest the Yankees have played .700 baseball. One more 10 game segment and then the last 2 games before the playoffs begin.

can't win them all.
4. We have this time to see who will be healthy and who we think will contribute the most.
5. The only games that truly mean anything will be played in October.

The Yankees are one of the best teams in baseball after having one of the most injury plagued seasons of all time. WIN METHOD has set us up very well for the future. It’s a good time to be a Yankee fan. Add in not signing those wastes Machado and Harper, each of which who do no make their team better, for long term multimillion dollar contracts.

bigbadwolf said...

Jimmy Thames, The Angels Trout is in the same leaky boat. He posts massive individual stats. Doesn't try free agency. Makes a fortune and only one time in eight full season has helped his team to the playoffs. And the playoffs was one series and done as Trout for the only time in his career playing under playoff pressure went 1 for 12. Undoubtedly one series is also relatively meaningless, but he free to play where he wants and hasn't.

A likely conclusion by me, Trout is not WIN METHOD, and very satisfied being a loser and making mass millions. Which is fine and his choice. But he is not the best of the best, they go to the playoffs and help their team go to the playoffs and win.

Evan Donahue said...

Something is fishy with Trout. But if the Angels are happy with paying what they are and losing, that is their choice. I wouldn't want him on my team and I wouldn't want Machado or Harper.

Hobbs said...

I am sure the stat frauds will disagree but they really do not know baseball but for individual stats and they have no idea what it takes to win.

Yankeeforever said...

Hobbs, that is the key, 'what it takes to win'. There is a world of difference between players with high individual stats and those who produce when it counts. You can have high or low individual stats, but producing when it counts for the most wins is what matters most.

Mike Smith said...

Come on now fans, you know the stat frauds will blame everyone of Machado's, Harper's, and Trout's teammates. Every player they have ever played with is useless and not worthy to be on the same field with any one of them. Their Barbra Streisand is getting old and smelly.

First 3 games of ALDS....Paxton, Tanaka, Louie Louie?

Louie Louie likely somewhere around an 80 pitch count, five innings or more would be fine.

Louie Louie needs to build up velo, arm strength, and innings for the playoffs. His arm is fresh.

Clear minds of meaningless individual stats, during the second season WIN METHOD baseball is paramount and only WINS determine which teams and players move forward. Pressure reaches its highest pinnacle.

Jerry Curcio said...

Could it be that Louie Louie's live no innings arm be a big plus for Yankees in playoffs while other teams pitchers are worn out with a lot of innings on their arms?

Our 3 starters match up with any 3 starters. Our lineup matches any other teams lineup....Who wins will depend, as always, on who produces when it matters most. No individual stats matter for any hitter or pitcher, it is win or go home. Wins alway determine the best players and the best teams.

Raul Vasquez said...

Ben Rosen, hear hear. From God's lips to our ears.

Yankees will face two top pitchers in Tampa and a team playing for a post season berth. So it won't be batting practice games against a losing team, but games to build on. Games to be tested.

Yankees still haven't announced starters for the Rays series.

I would love to see Michael King pitch a few innings. WIN METHOD is high on him.
