WIN METHOD --- 2019 SEASON --- 162 GAMES TO THE DIVISION CROWN

Winter is over, the hot stove is off.  Spring training games are finished, now the season begins.  Over the next 162 games the ten best teams will go on to the playoffs.  This is the time when producing when it counts matters most and over the next 162 games the best players in the game will go to the playoffs.  Wins and winning is all that matters and only wins and winning will get the best players and the best teams to the playoffs.

The NEW YORK YANKEES completed a banner off season obtaining several players who will play for the team to win and who know that winning as a team and doing all the little things that can help the team win is what matters most in the end.  Paxton, Happ, Britton, Tulowitzki, Lemahieu, Voit, and others know that only wins, and not individual stats, are what gets a team to the playoffs.  The YANKEE hierarchy was brilliant by not signing either Manny Machado or Bryce Harper to ten and thirteen year contracts for the amount of money each is getting that neither player is worth, and would have crippled the YANKEES for the decade ahead.   Look for the YANKEES to win more World Series than the Padres and Phillies combined over the next decade.

With the blossoming of the YANKEES own core of youngsters who have bloomed and are now growing in the major leagues at the nucleus of this 2019 team, the YANKEES are set to recapture the division title in the American League East.  The YANKEES will start this season with a handful of key players on the disabled list (DL), however the YANKEES as every other team will have to play the hand they are dealt and overcome obstacles put in front of them.  Yes, the YANKEES can and the YANKEES will.

What is most promising is the future ahead.  The YANKEES have been able to obtain many WIN METHOD youngsters with a bright future and an unlimited ceiling.  Keep an eye out for Estevan Florial who has the tools to be the YANKEE center fielder of the future.   There are also several starting pitchers in the minors that will step forward to be major league impact starters for the YANKEES.

Thank you, to all the readers and posters of the WIN METHOD blog.  You all have contributed to this blog surpassing 548 million views and you all have made this baseball blog the best in the world.
The season starts in a couple of days and a great season it will be for the YANKEES.  Thank you all again for you support, your comments, and your opinions.  All of which are posted with intelligence and wisdom far beyond any other site, blog, or forum in existence.    LETS GO YANKEES.

Use the same formula as last night, well pitched game from German, timely hits when it counts, and a shut down bullpen for the win.

coryankee said...

Stat frauds, here is another clear cut example of why the WIN METHOD rules and your formulated man made meaningless stats fail over and over.
Yankees/Toronto last night. Each team hit a two run and a solo home run for 3 runs each.
The Yankees went 0 for 11 with runners in scoring position. The Blue Jays went 1 for 4. That one hit went it counted won the game for the Jays while the Yankees failed time and again all game.
The most embarrassing failure was in the ninth inning and the Yankees had a man on first with Aaron Hicks up, Hicks was walked and that moved the tying run into scoring position. Toronto wanted to pitch to Gleyber Torres who would only need a single to toe the game. Torres futilely struck out on three pitches swinging as hard as he could and making a fool of himself. Torres was the last out of the game and Toronto won 4-3 by producing when it counted and not by how much or how many stats they accumulated.

okiened said...

coryankee, the stat fraud are too stupid to understand what you posted, or they will just make up fake stories to try to smear WIN METHOD.

reinvaldez said...

Torres should be completely embarrassed with what happened last night. To have the hitter in front of you walked and move the tying run into scoring position to face you shows what little regard other teams hold for Torres. To top it off he flails at three pitches, striking out and ending the game. I wouldn't feel so bad if he at least hit the ball, and I wouldn't feel bad at all if he hit the ball with authority even if it was an out.

Doug Shoen said...

Paxton tonight for his second start after DL stint. Lets get back on track and win guys. Gleyber, a single at certain times can change a game, wake up guy, play baseball and not for your fake (Baltimore Oriole inflated stats).

Ernie Hassel said...

We have to win today and tomorrow to take this series. Winning the first game gives you some leeway.

Vinny Ferrero said...

Hopefully Torres will get his head out of the ground and produce when it counts and not just against the Orioles.

Bud Light said...

I came across this, how is Urshela's dwar -0.3? Just more proof beyond doubt how fake stats are so meaningless and more important, so wrong.

Yankeeforever said...

Tanaka seems to have that one really bad inning bug. I behooves to think he can't figure things out real quick and adapt to what is happening to him. Four really good inning, his blowup inning, and another good inning. I can live with an error, bloop hit/infield roller hit, and a walk or any combination then making one bad pitch and giving up a grand slam for four runs.

Tony Manchu said...

Bud Light, defensive metrics are nothing but garbage, total garbage, utter garbage. Which also defines the people who created them, espouse them, use them, and live by them.

Linda Rice said...

Bud Light, just say no to stat frauds and their meaningless stats. I detest home run distances and their descriptions by the fake media reps. Mammoth home run, gigantic blast, etc. Can any stat fraud tell me if there is any more value to a 450 foot home run than a 335 foot home run. I don't think so.

Billygoats, Bullpen, particularly Britton and Cessa among others. Torres for error opening the floodgates in the seventh. Three consecutive losses. Not good. Need Didi back at shortstop so Torres can ride the pine.

Cory said...

The 2019 season in ten game segments.
Games:
01- 10 ...... 5 - 5
11- 20 ...... 5 - 5 = 10-10
21- 30 ...... 7 - 3 = 17-13
31- 40 ...... 7 - 3 = 24-16
41- 50 ...... 9 - 1 = 33-17
51- 60 ...... 5 - 5 = 38-22

No a fall or stumble, but surely a misstep this ten game segment. Were 5-2 and lost last 3 to finish 5-5. .500 ball is not good enough to be the best. Lets go Yankees.

Torres game changing error last night was created by him. He turned a very easy play that a grade schooler could handle into a fake prima-donna play, was out of position when he fielded the ball and then off balance when he threw the ball. Very poor effort that the infield coach should rip him for. Can't get Didi back soon enough.

With Didi back giving Morales the heave ho would alleviate help the team. LeMahieu can play 1B o spell Voit. It keeps Estrada around who can hit, field, and run, none of which Morales can do. But I am sure the Yankees decision makers will look a it their way for reasons only they will know.

Wilsonsway said...

Yankees score in 10th for 7-6 lead. Who do we have left to save it? Kahnle failed, Ottavino, failed, Britton did his job, and Chapman failed. It's Tarpley.

Hobbs said...

Tarpley does it, what not one of the Yankee top for relievers could do. A 1,2,3 tenth striking out all 3 batters he faced. Earns the save and a win for the Yankees.

will-i-am said...

Final. Yankees win 7-6 in 10 innings. Where do I start. Green 2 shutout innings, Cortes 3 shutout perfect innings. Kahnle 1 nightmare inning giving up 4 runs and putting Cleveland back in the game. Ottavino 1 inning giving up the tying run. Britton a shutout inning. Chapman could have had the save if it wasn't for Didi's error allowing the tying run. Tarpley was golden, 3 batters 3 K's for the save.

So, we played ten innings, Green, Cortes, ritton, and Tarpley pitched seven of those innings and gave up nothing. Kahnle, Ottavino, and Chapman pitched three innings and gave up six runs and did everything possible to lose the game for the Yankees.

Proves, just how much baseball is a team game with interdependence between pitching, hitting, offence and defence. The only superstars are the fake one built on fake numbers from fake fans.

The traffic on this blog is amazing. I bet much of it has to do with no advertising, selling blurbs, and garbage add-ons clogging and covering the pertinent information.

Hour time difference in Chicago. 8PM game tonight.

Pia Annunzio said...

Stanton and Judge likely back by the end of this month, barring any other setbacks.

Morales put on DL. Tarpley sen back to AAA. Cortes up to replace Tarpley and Tauchman up to replace Morales.

Ivan Noriokos said...

Morales is absolutely no loss. Likely Cortes is part of Saturdays game.

Get game one guys. One game a night for four nights. Yes you can.

Yanks up 2-0 after 2.

yankeedoodledandy said...

4-4 after 5. Happ gives up 4 runs in 5th giving away a 4-0 Yankees lead.

will-i-am said...

Final. Yankees lose 5-4. Worse, they blew 4-0 lead thru three innings and never threatened again.

Yanks23245 said...

Couldn't even tack on a run or two last night. Talking much failure when it counts costing he team wins.

CC tonight to try to even series.

Xavier Young said...

We are facing another top winning pitcher tonight. We seem to do better against these type of starters for some reason. We need a win to even series.

James Doyle said...

You don't pitch when it matters or you don't hit when it matters, you will usually lose. It isn't rocket science, it's common sense. False fake misleading stats are just that, false, fake, and misleading. You don't win more than the competition you go nowhere.
