Yes WIN METHOD fans the 2018 YANKEES have won enough games to reach the playoffs, also known as the second season. Only ten teams make it to the playoffs and the only determining factor that allows these ten teams into the playoffs is WINS. Only WINS and winning define the best players and teams. Nothing else matters no matter what the phony fake stat frauds try to tell you, only wins get teams into the playoffs. We all know what the stat frauds can do with their meaningless stats. That's right, the frauds are going home to watch the teams with enough WINS play in the second season.
This years YANKEES again have reached the playoffs as a wild card team and they did so with 100 wins. Three superior American League teams won over 100 games this season, none in the inferior national league. Being a wild card team means the Yankees to advance to the next round of playoffs will have to defeat a strong Oakland Athletics team in a one game win or go home game at YANKEE Stadium on Wednesday night.
Considering the astounding amount of injuries that kept many of the Yankee star players out of the lineup for so many games this season, winning 100 games and making the playoffs was a very solid result for this team. I must give special recognition to Miguel Andujar who will be named rookie of the year and will become one of the great names in baseball over the next decade. A very special player.
No matter the outcome of this seasons playoffs, I am already looking forward to the 2019 season. Yes WIN METHOD fans I will be around for another season. There is still much blooming and growing going on with the YANKEE youngsters with more to come.
Now, on to the second season and hope it is more than one game. LETS GO YANKEES!!!

Great job WIN METHOD. Another winning season and another playoff team. Love ya,
I just want to play the bosux one more series this season. To do that we will have to beat the A's in the wild card game.
Yes we can. Yes we will.
The next series, the wild card playoff, is a one game series. As of Wednesday it will be the Yankees biggest game of the year. You know what, only the win matters.
As we look forward to the playoffs, isn't it so true and a fact that the only reason these players and teams are here in the playoffs because of wins. There is absolutely no other stat that matters and there is no other stat that determines the best players and the best teams.
Wins are all that counts and WIN METHOD fans know this. The sabermetricians are fakes, liars and fools who are followed by some of the most ignorant fans in the baseball world.
Wins are what determines the best and wins are the only thing that determines the best.
Just have to win the first elimination game. If we don't we won't have to worry about the possibility over another.
Win or go home games are tension filled and usually very exciting. Great when your team wins. Lets go Yankees.
Simple game to win if the lineup produces when it counts and out pitchers produce when it counts.
Lets go Yankees.
We need to play one game at a time. You can't and you don't move forward unless you win.
Whether be it fo a game, a series, or whatever, you have to win to be the best. Just so happens this is a one game event and thus a must win to be the best and not go home.
We win the wild card game, we play more baseball. We lose, we wait to next year and have even more to play for and prove.
I can't wait for Wednesday game. Win or lose we have had a great season.
Lets go Yankees.
Wonder exactly how Boone will set the lineup.
Baseball is an amazing game and is the finest sport in the world in my opinion.
Elimination games are the most fun games in sports. Wednesday night will be great. Greater if we win.
Another day and a half and we play to win and move forward or lose and go home.
We will overcome another obstacle and we will win tomorrows game.
Lets go Yankees. Lets do it.
Lets go Yankees. Win a World Series for me.
Just hit the ball where it is pitched. Pound what is given to you and don't chase what isn't. Think WIN METHOD and play WIN METHOD.
I would have to think that the Yankee lineup for tomorrow night's wild card game would be the one Boone thinks is best. Can't wait to see what it looks like.
Mine: Judge, Stanton, Hicks, Andujar, Torres, Voit, Gregorius, Sanchez, McCutchen.
NJYANKEE, that would likely leave Gardner, Walker, Bird, Romine, on bench if Yankees go with 12 pitchers which they do not need to do. Go down to 10 pitchers and you can carry two more bench players. Pinch runner and third catcher?
Louie Louie has been named starting pitcher for the wild card game.
It is my supposition that Boone is already playing the sux series. That may be fine if the Yankees win the wild card game. The caveat is he should know his players than us and thinks he is doing the right thing. It's on Louie Louie to perform when it counts.
Well, Louie Louie is our ace. An ace should pitch an elimination game if he is available.
Lets just win tomorrow.
Today is the day. We play on or we go home. One game will determine our faith and it is all in the hands of the players and their performance when it counts and matters most. Only a win will allow the team to move forward. Yes, it is all about wins and winning.
Baseball is a simple complicated game. You score more runs than the opposing team you win. If we score X amount of runs and our pitchers and our pitchers give up less runs we win.
Lets get ready to rumble. Lets go Yankees.
LF Andrew McCutchen (R)
RF Aaron Judge (R)
CF Aaron Hicks (S)
DH Giancarlo Stanton (R)
1B Luke Voit (R)
SS Didi Gregorius (L)
3B Miguel Andujar (R)
C Gary Sanchez (R)
2B Gleyber Torres (R)
P Luis Severino
Solid lineup. If the players produce when it counts it should be a winning lineup.... if they fail to produce the season is over. Only a WIN moves the team forward.
Sorry for the fans that can't enjoy the exhilaration of having their team play in the second season. Alas! only the best players and teams get this far.
Lets go Yankees, yes you can, yes you will.
Just a few more hours and we play the most crucial game of the season. Hope there are more than just this one.
Stanley Chin, you hit the nail on the head. Best scenario is after tonight's win we play no more elimination games this season.
Win one game at a time. Win tonight then plan for the next game.
LETS GO YANKEES!!!!
After a 162 game season, the playoffs are pretty much one game at a time.
In my opinion, with Andujar being the best hitter and most dangerous free swinger hitting the ball to all fields and the hardest Yankee to pitch to, I would like to see him batting either 3,4, or 5.
Evan Donahue, that is the advantage of having a long deep lineup, you never know who will be the hitter that comes to bat at a crucial time. Maybe never, if everyone hits and contributes and you win by a side margin. In a close one or two run game several guys may come up in a big spot.
There's nothing to it but to do it. Lets WIN.
Lets go Yankees.
It's almost time. Put up or shut up.
Here we go, time for Yankee playoff baseball.
Louie Louie with a ten pitch, 3 up 3 down first innings with 2 K's. Good start.
McCutchen walk and Judge HR. 2-0.
YES!!! Judge two run HR.
Yankees up 2-0 after 1.
Louie Louie second inning, a walk and 3 K's.
Yankees put first two men on in 2nd but meatball rolls into a double play killing the rally.
Yankees up 2-0 after two.
Louie Louie a third shutout inning. A walk and only 1 K in the third.
Yanks up 2-0 after 3.
Louie Louie works hard in fourth. Error and two walks load the bases but he K's third out.
Would be great to score a few more runs about now.
Yanks up 2-0 after 4.
Louie Louie comes out for the 5th and gives up singles to first two batters, then Boone brings Betances in.
Betances goes 3 up 3 down to end the inning.
This is tense.
Yanks up 2-0 after 5.
Boone sends Betances out for the sixth inning.
Betances with another 1,2,3 inning. He really looked good tonight.
Judge double, Hicks RBI double. 3-0. Hicks to third base on passed ball.
Voit 2 RBI double off the right field wall. 5-0. Voit to third on throw to plate. Didi sac fly 6-0.
Yanks up 6-0 after 6.
Robertson on for the 7th and first two batters hit rockets that are caught then K's third.
Yanks up 6-0 after 7.
Britton throws the 8th and is first Yankee pitcher to crack giving up a 2 run homer.
Stanton leads off the 8th with a HR. 7-2.
Yanks up 7-2 after 8.
Chapman on for the ninth.
Chapman with a shutout 9th. Yankees win 7-2 and now head to Boston for the sux series.
Final. Theee Yankeeeeeeeeeeees Winnnnnnnn. 7-2. Boston up next.
Good win.
In all the euphoria after last nights win I will pose two negatives.
One, meatball Sanchez and his failure to perform when it mattered with men on 1st and 3rd and no out he hits into an double play and a routine grounder. He wouldn't seem as bad if he hit a really hard hit ball and good defense turned a possible hit into the double play.
Two, and to a lesser importance Britton giving up two runs in his inning of work.
Glen Corbet, let me throw in another negative. Although he got to every ball hit to him, Andujar made two errant throws to first base. One Voit saved the other he didn't.
The next series is a 3 of 5 starting in Boston tomorrow night. Lets win 3. Let go Yankees.
Happ to start tomorrow night. Tanaka Saturday. Off day Sunday. New York Monday.
My opinion, but Andujar should not have been removed from the game.
Voit is filling the right handed power void that the failure of Sanchez created. So you bat Sanchez 8th, and then see what he learns over the winter and brings to spring training in 2019. If he rebounds it just makes the Yankee team even better. A left handed hitting catcher would be a nice find for WIN METHOD.
I have read a stat fraud blog or two and the frauds are commending Sanchez on his great game behind the plate. All he did was his job, he caught the ball. He did not have to stop any truly wildly off target pitches. He did block a couple of pitches in the dirt, but they were right in front of him. The frauds did what they do best, they ignored his abysmal at bats. Particularly the first one where just moving the runners or walking or even better yet getting a hit could have broken the game open in the second inning. I get used to expecting nothing from frauds.
At least the next two games are not elimination games. A little less pressure, but good to win anyway.
Steve, I have to hand it to you, you tell it like it is. Facts kill stat frauds.
Most of the bullpen got work in last night and all will be at full strength for the weekend and then another off day.
Same old same old, we hit, we pitch, we win.
Lets whitewash the sux. Then hang them out to dry.
Happ has been solid against the sux, but I believe the law of averages can rear its ugly head. Hopefully not tomorrow.
Linda Pardo, the worst thing about the LAV is that the player doesn't have to do poorly, but bad luck or breaks does him in.
Game one ALDS tonight in Boston Happ vs Sale. Yankees vs bosux.
There is only one thing to say. Lets go Yankees.
meatball Sanchez has disappointed me very much. He swings for HR's too much and by doing so rolls over on outside pitches and he becomes a double play machine when men on base. If he would drive the ball to the opposite field more often he would become a more dangerous and valuable hitter. There is always a chance to change his approach and time to do so. All I can say to him is, do it or you will perish at your own hands.
We need for Sanchez to perform when it counts and help this team score runs. He was a dismal failure in the wild card game and even hurt the teams ability to score runs. It did not make a difference because others did produce. He gets another chance tonight. Come on meatball, erase your nickname and play for the team.

Let win again. Produce when it counts.
As good as it gets. Performance is the key. And we are playing the team that won the most games in MLB this season. They don't give up and they don't quit.
Lets win game one tonight and take the sux edge away.
Lets roll.
Lets score first with a crooked number again.
Lets go Yankees. Time for a win.
Everybody hits tonight, everybody. Go Yankees.
Happ gives up 3 run HR in first inning. The law of averages? Ugh, I never should have said anything.
Yanks trail 3-0 right off the bat.
Yankees in 5-0 hole thru 3.
Yanks down 5-0 after 5.
meatball, put up or shut up time. Yankees have 2 runs on the board, two on, two out and meatball is the tying run at bat. ????????????????? ball 1, ball 2, ball 3, ball 4. Great job by meatball, showing patience and not swinging at ball out of the zone. Torres has his chance now with the bases loaded. ???????????????? swinging strike 1, ball 1, ball 2, ball 3, looking strike 2, swinging strike 3 on a low pitch. Torres with a big fail when it mattered most.
Yankees load bases with no outs in 7th but only get one run on ground out as Stanton and Didi fail when it counted.
Yankees making it interesting but still down 5-3 after 7.
Down 5-3 thru 8. Last chance to produce. Too many failures so far tonight when it mattered. This is why individual stats do not matter. The best produce most when it counts and thus their team wins the most and thus is one of the best.
Judge HR in 9th not enough as Yankees go down 5-4. They had their chances but did not come through at the big moments.
Final 5-4 loss...could have won, but you read this blog, you know why they lost.
Yes, we could 've, but we didn't. Try again tomorrow.
Linda Pardo, the LAV. The LAV was true also for Sale since he never won a playoff game is one of the premier pitchers in baseball. He was do for a win and got it. Happ was do to get hit by the sux and that's what happened. Not your fault for bringing it up. It's just the law.
Tanaka starts tonight and it would bode well if the Yankees could win tonight.
I think the single biggest fail last night was Stanton's when he struck out with the bases loaded and no outs. A 100% total useless at bat at a crucial time. Add in to his poor game his last at bat standing and looking at a third strike from Kimbrel.
I would feel a lot more comfortable coming back to the Stadium with a win tonight.
Yes Augie, a win tonight is needed or we will be down to 3 elimination games.
Hicks likely out, but you never know.

Gardner in for Hicks. Lineup altered foe Hicks absence.
Lets go Yankees.
Lets get to Price and score early and often. Lets win.
Sanchez had good at bats last night. Hope he catches fire and helps carry this team.
Judge HR gives Yanks 1-0 lead in first.
Sanchez leads off 2nd with HR. 2-0
McCucthen RBI single makes it 3-0 in 2nd and knocks Price out of game.
Yanks up 3-0 after 2.
Yanks up 3-1 after 4.
Time for some tack on runs guys. Lets go Yankees.
Yankees leave 2 men on base in the 5th and 6th innings and are not producing. Just keeps the sux alive and kicking.
Betances in for the sixth and get sux 1,2,3. Hope he goes the 7th also. Would still like another run or 2.
Yanks up 3-1 after 6.
FINALLY....Sanchez again with a 3 run HR for a 6-1 lead mid 7th.
Yanks up 6-2 after 7.
Come on guys. We need this win to go home even and take series in New York.
6-2 thru 8. Three more outs.
Lets finish this off. Yes we can.
Chapman close it. Yankees win 6-2. Off day tomorrow.
Final 6-2 Yankees win. Series tied. Next two games in New York, Monday and Tuesday.
Just we needed. Someone wrapped meatball in bacon and we all know bacon makes everything better.
Louie Louie and CC listed starters for the two Stadium games. Wouldn't it be wonderful if CC defeats the sux. He deserves it. He's a class act.
Notice you can't find hide nor hair of any stat frauds as only wins are exalted here in the playoffs. Nothing else matters.
Tonights game the sux starter gave up 3 runs and the sux bullpen game up 3 runs. The Yankee starter gave up 1 run and the bullpen gave up 1 run. Nice.
We really did take care of Price. I'm glad we never signed him.
The team did what it needed to do last night. Judge set the tone in the first inning. In the second inning Sanchez kept it going and McCutchen's shot off the wall for the third run of the game sent Price packing. Boston's bullpen hung in there but finally faltered in the seventh with Sanchez the final nail in the sux coffin on a three run home run. On the pitching side, Tanaka did what was needed, five innings allowing just one run. Then the bullpen did its part to finish the game off allowing just one run over the final four innings.
A day off today and then we pick up tomorrow where we left off with Louie Louie starting and the bullpen rested and all ready to go. Hicks may even be back.
So far so good. We easily could have taken both games in Boston with one timely hit. But, the sux are good and are not a patsy. We do seem to play to our competition.
Everyone just relax. Enjoy your Sunday doing what you want with whom you want. Tomorrow we rise again in support of our team. Yes we can and we will. Chill today, lets go Yankees tomorrow.
Being a baseball and Yankee fan all my life I have found it fascinating how any manager is either revered or chastised depending on the results from the players on the field.
When the players produce the manager is great. When the players fail when it counts the manager is an idiot.
All, yes I said all the managers and coaches are the smartest baseball experienced people in the world. They do not hit or pitch only the men on the field do that.
William Mensom, I agree wholeheartedly with your post. And I think so does every WIN METHOD fan for the most part. Now the stat frauds certainly are a different story.
Just remember everyone. The sux did not win 108 games by luck, they are good. They will come into our house looking to wreak havoc and destroy us. Our guys need to be ready to take them down and ruin their season and tee off their fans. Let go Yankees.
Goal. WIN 2 of the next 3 games. Lets go Yankees.
Louie Louie gives us shutout innings and we score first, the pressure will build on the sux.
One game at a time. Play one game at a time, win one game at a time. If you lose, win the next game. Yes you can.
sux name Eovaldi to start tomorrow nights game. OK guys. Take his fast ball to right. Shortest route to home runs for all bats right handed and left handed. Stay in the zone and do not chase. Yes you can, yes you will, go Yankees.
Take Eovaldi deep in the first inning and hammer him. Make the sux go to their bullpen again. Lets go Yankees. Think and be WIN METHOD.
We are do to put it altogether against Eovaldi. He has to come down to Earth facing the Yankees some time and a playoff game is a no better time. Lets go Yankees.
Lets go Yankees. Win two at home and move forward again.
We can only play one game at a time. We need to win tonight then we have a chance to win two.
Andujar and Torres are about do for some big hits also. That would be another plus in trying for the win tonight. Swing at pitches in the strike zone and don't chase. That goes for everyone.
Lets go Yankees.
Lets take care of business tonight guys. Hit and pitch when it counts. Yes you can.
This is a big game in a three game series that is even after two game. Win it guys, we are with you. Go Yankees.
We can and we will. Make Eovaldi throw strikes.
Everybody contributes, this team is WIN METHOD when they play as a team and not for anyone's own self. Lets go Yankees.
Yankee lineup just came up.

2. A Judge (R) RF
3. L Voit (R) 1B
4. G Stanton (R) DH
5. D Gregorius (L) SS

Gardner in for Hicks again. Lets go Yankees. Lets get it done.
Seven right handed bats against a right handed pitcher. Let the ball travel to the plate and then whack it into the right field seats. Goal: at least four home runs.
I'll be at tonight's game. Lets go Yankees.
Our lucky charm is at the game. Nothing could be better than th
Let's get ready, let's get set, let's win. So, let's go Yankees.
Louie Louie got hit pretty hard in first inning but only gave up a walk. Yankees make Eovaldi throw 18 pitches to get out of the first, but with only one bad swing at a pitch out of the zone. Eovaldi throwing very hard.
Louie Louie struggling and gives up run on infield single that he should have made the play on.
Yanks down 1-0 after 2.
Louie Louie doesn't have it tonight. Getting hit hard. He likely needs to be taken out. Two out in the 3rd, has thrown 60 pitches and down 3-0.
Thru three innings, sux producing, Yanks not.
Boone lets Louie Louie start the 4th. Hard hit singles to first two batters and walks the bags full to the third. Now out of the game with bags full, no outs, and Lynn in to see what he can do to keep us alive.
Yankees getting hammered down 10-1 after four. No loss is good but I rather get slaughtered than lose by a run or two and maybe could have won.
Yanks down 10-1 after 6.
A laugher for the sux, a crier for the Yankees 14-1 mid 8th.
Austin Romine pitches the ninth for the Yankees. Gives up two run home run making the score 16-1. Hope we rebound tomorrow. The sux batters have to be awfully tired.
Final a humiliating 16-1 loss. This means we play an elimination game tomorrow at home and Sabathia looks to be the starter.
Has the vision of last nights game left any fans yet? It is etched in mine and a win tonight would help erase it.
We find ourselves in another elimination game tonight. Only a win will give us a chance to play another elimination game in Boston. We really looked terrible last night and the sux did come to play and did play better than we did.
Do or die tonight WIN METHOD fans.

Andujar out. I am not mad with that because Andujar has not hustled running to first base on ground balls the past few games. In my book if a player doesn't hustle he doesn't play.
It's win or go home time tonight.
Nothing changes. If we hit and pitch we win. If we do what we did last night we go home.
A must win. Backs to the wall and the sux firing squad is locked and leaded. Lets go Yankees, pull a McGiver.
Another day another game, yesterday is history. Let go Yankees.
There must have been some kind of stat frauds in the 19th century because Mark Twain has a famous quote which define stat frauds.....the quote "there are lies, there are damn lies, and there are statistics."
I'll be rooting hard for the veteran pitcher tonight in his twilight.
Four shutout innings from CC. That is my hope. Then the bullpen for five.
0-0 after 2.
sux score three in third started by Benintendi turning into a pitch to get hit and start the inning off.
Yanks down 4-0 after 4.
Yankees score 1 on 5th and trail 4-1 after 5.
Yanks down 4-1 after 6.
Posting is down. I guess there is not much to cheer about or say. But we do have three innings left.
Yanks down 4-1 after 8.
The Yankees give it their all in the 9th scoring two runs, two men on base but Torres grounds out. Yankees lose 4-3. Season is over.
Final Yankees lose 4-3 as a last gasp ninth inning rally falls one run short. The Yankees will have work to do this off season.
The fat lady is singing wait till next year.
