THE 2026 BASEBALL SEASON -- 162 GAMES TO PLAYOFFS
Here we are 23 games into the 2026 season with a 14-9 record. At this point I feel very comfortable in saying the Yankees will make the playoffs, and win the AL East division. The YANKEE win total for the regular season should be about 101 wins. I broke the season into thirds, with 54 games in each third. Because the YANKEE starting pitching is just getting better and better with disabled list pitchers returning. Cole and Rodon will be back very soon, and I am not counting on Schmidt at this point in time. I am also looking forward for Volpe's return, returning as an improved hitter and fielder. Watch and see for yourself.
Now let me break down the three 54 game thirds into actual win/loss numbers. Remember WIN METHOD fans, wins are the only number in baseball that determines the best players and teams. Frist third, I went with a low 27-27 record. For the middle third, with Cole and Rodon's return, with Fried, Schlittler, Warren, Gil, and Weathers available, look for the bullpen being better also, with Cruz, Bednar, Headrick, and Hill being the top holdovers. I am not even mentioning Schmidt's return. Middle third record 36-18. Then we come to the final third of games. With the strength of the roster and the strength of the YANKEE minor leaguers, look for the YANKEES to make deals, if needed, to upgrade the lineup. The final third is the race to the finish line and the playoffs. Record 38-16. That will make for a 101-61 won/loss record. Not to shabby.
This blog, your blog, the fans blog is moving slowing but surely to the three billion views level. You, the most intelligent and knowledgeable baseball fans in the world are making this all happen. All you politicians who wrote and supported the legislation and half the people who voted for it are criminals, corrupt, and the scum of America. Judge rbi single for 4-2 lead. Yes, guys, that is WIN METHOD baseball. Rice intentionally walked, bases loaded again. Stanton, who has been terrible tonight, strikes out for the fourth time tonight.
Schlittler goes 8th full innings in dominant fashion allowing 2 runs, 1 completely unearned and a solo HR. 4-2 Yanks.
Bednar in to try for the save. 1,2,3, 9th for a no drama save. Theeee Yankeeees Winnn.
Final. Yankees win 4-2. Schlittler goes 8 innings, allowing 2 runs, 1 unearned, 4 hits, 1 walk, 5 Ks for the win. Bednar throws a clean 9th for an easy save. Chisholm solo HR, Bellinger 2 rbi single, and Judge rbi single for all the runs. Yankees sweep the sux, 4-0, 4-1, and 4-2.

Warren finishes six innings, worked hard and got the job done. Leaves leading 8-2 plus 4 more runs in top of 7th for a 12-2 lead. A lot of help from his teammates for the win unless something really crazy happens.
Final. Yankees win 12-4. Warren goes six innings and leaves game up 12-2. Yankees scored 4 runs in each third of the game, taking no prisoners. Cruz pitched the 7th and struck out the side, while giving up two solo home runs. Yarborough pitched a scoreless 8th and 9th. Everyone contributed offensively.

Final. Yankees win 8-3. Weathers went 5 1/3 competitive innings, kept Yanks in game only giving up 2 runs and earned a no decision. Cruz got the win in relief. Hill gave up a meaningless HR in 9th for only run bullpen gave up, with bullpen going 3 2/3 innings. Everyone in the lineup, again contributed to the win in a myriad of ways. Good win, with a chance for a series sweep tomorrow.
Considering Weathers wife had a baby a few days ago, between his last start and this one, he pitched very well in both games and should be proud of what he has accomplished this week.
Gil will start Sunday afternoons game in Houston and will be pitching for a Yankee sweep of the series. A repeat of his last start should do the trick.
Sunday is not a day of rest guys. You have all been working hard this week, one more day, and another win is good for the soul. Lets go Yankees.

I guess a game like this was due. Gil, crashes and burns struggling for five bad innings. Yankee bats dead as a door nail until the 9th inning, scoring 3 meaningless runs to lose 7-4. Game was never close until it ended.
Final. Yankees lose 7-4. But game was never close. The Yanks did not score until they were behind 7-0. Judge a solo HR in 7th and then 3 runs in 9th after 2 outs. Gil takes the loss with a discouraging start.

Some pitcher's duel tonight between Schlittler and DeGrom. Both went six innings. Schlittler gave up 0 runs and earned the win, DeGrom gave up 1 run and took the loss. Yankee bullpen a nightmare tonight, bent, cracked, split, but held on for a 3-2 win.
Yankees call up Elmer Rodriquez from AAA Scraton, and he will start final game of Ranger series. Rodriquez, 22 years old, will make his first MLB appearance. WOWSER!

Rodriquez went four scoreless innings then gave up 2 runs in fifth without getting an out. Not bad for a first MLB start. But Yankee bats have been quiet, still time to explode, only down 2-0.
Yankees getting snookered, down 3-0 after eighth. One more chance.
Final. Yankees lose 3-0. Rodriquez loses his first game in the majors. He looked pretty good, probably nervous excited inside, but his outward demeanor looked under control. Pitch control was a little off and had to work out of some trouble most of the innings he pitched, four plus, allowing two runs. Look at it this way fans, no matter who started for the Yankees they wouldn't have won because the Yankees never scored a run, never even came close. Eovaldi mowed them down, except for Ben Rice who had three hits.
Off day for Yankees tomorrow and then a four game long weekend series with the Orioles Friday thru Monday.

McMahon sets the table with a double and Grisham 2 run home run clears it. Yankees take a 5-1 lead thru fourth inning. Sweet.
Orioles cut Yankee lead to 6-4 in 7th. BUT, Yankees comeback with 3 runs and lead is now 9-4 after 7.
Final. Yankees win 9-4. Weathers goes 5+ innings giving up 3 runs only 1 earned and registers another win. Bird finished off the 6th inning preventing any further Orioles from scoring. Doval worked 2/3 sloppy 7th inning allowing a run. Hill got the final out. Blackburn worked the final two innings without issue. Bellinger was the big bat today going 4-4, 2 singles 2 home runs with 4 rbi's and 3 runs scored.
Another good win, trouncing a division rival 9-4. Weather good again earning the win. Bellinger 4-4 and two home runs with 4 rbi's.
Yankee fans, stay cool and don't take anything for granted. The team won the first two games of this four-game series from the Orioles and the next two games we have Fried and Schlittler starting. Sure wins, automatic? Not on your life and just thinking that it is isn't WIN METHOD. If the players think that way they will lose. Anyone can lose, only the best can win, and only the best of the best will win more often. Nothing else matters, try your best every time no matter what in life you are doing. You are WIN METHOD fans and that is why you are here. There will always be bumps in the road, work a little harder to smooth them out and pave the way. LET GO YANKEES.

I will elaborate on WIN METHOD's post just above. Using today's game as an example. We all look at the way the Yankees have been playing and think and say the Yankees will win today. We are pounding the Orioles pitching, our pitcher will dominate them, the defense has been very good, no way we lose today. Oh yeah, there is a way to lose today if the team goes into the game thinking the way I just stated. Any day you can be beaten, by any team, if you take the game for granted. Or sometimes, nothing goes your way and everything falls into place for the opposing team. It happens.
I really like your baseball insight and common sense. The world could use a lot of it.

Judge 3rd inning 2 run HR for a 3-1 Yankee lead thru three innings. However, Fried is struggling today, not sharp, walks, and hard hit balls.

As o f now the Yankee eighth inning, a sacfly out and seven for seven hits. Five runs in and two men on. Put this game in the win column. 9-3. Bellinger up, walks, bags full. Chisholm sacfly two out 10-3. Dominguez double 11-3, Wells fly out. Yankee hitters went 8 for 9 in inning, 2 sawfly's and fly out.
Tjeeeeeeeeeeeee Yankeeeeeeeeeeees Winnnnnnnnn 11-3. Ensure the series win with a game tomorrow night for a sweep chance.
Final. Yankee win 11-3. It was 4-3 after seven innings It was no rout. The Yankees had nothing go their way for seven innings, the Orioles got the breaks, and Fried pitched his worse game of the season so far. Nonetheless, the Yankees won. Dominguez, Rice, Judge, all with home runs. Everyone else contributed in the 8th inning. An inning for the record books. Check it out. Play for sweep tomorrow.
Considering Fried was not Fried, the lineup hit into some bad luck for seven innings and the team still won, that is a good outcome. Broom day tomorrow if you are going to the game.
Think about this fans, Fried gave up 3 runs in 5 1/3 innings and it was his worst game of the season. Lets not get spoiled. Everyone has a bad game or stretch, even teams have bad stretches. Smile, be happy, and don't snivel and whine when the losses come, because they will. ⬅️

Schlittler was as shaky as Fried was yesterday, men on in every inning, but got out of every jam until the 6th inning when with the bases loaded and 2 outs he walked a run in. He was relieved by Bird who got the K to save the inning. Yanks still up 3-1 and its now up to the bullpen.

Shaky start for Schlittler, bent, and bent, bad did not break. Got his fifth win of the season.
Final. Yankees win 12-1. Schlittler with a rough outting, hit pretty hard, in trouble in every inning, goes 5 2/3 allowing 1 run for the win. The big play of the game was Bird called in to relieve Schlittler in the 6th with the bases loaded and two out. Bird gets the strikeout to shut down the O's biggest chance of the game. Hill, Doval, Blackburn each work a scoreless inning while the Yankee lineup with everyone contributing again add 3 runs in the 6th, and 5 in the 8th for the runaway score, a series sweep, and a John Sterling tribute.
No time to get complacent and no rest. Rangers in for three game series T, W, H, and they have their big three starters lined up for us.

Rodriquez give up 3 runs in first inning, then pitches 3 2/3 scoreless innings, Headrick comes in to get the 3rd out in the 5th when it mattered most, and then a scoreless 6th. Hill in for the 7th is ineffective and Cruz comes in to get 2 big outs when it mattered most. Cruz runs into trouble in the 8th and Bednar comes in with one out and 2 men on and gets out of the inning, yes when it mattered most. Then Bednar gives up a meaningless run in the 9th with 2 outs to close out the game. Offensively, the Yankees came to bat down 3-0. Score 1 in the 1st on back-to-back doubles by Judge and Bellinger. McMahon with a 2 run HR for a 3-3 tie in the 2nd. Chisholm with a HR in 6th for 4-3 lead. In the 7th Yanks load bases with 2 out and Bellinger hits a 2 rbi double when it mattered most for a 6-3 lead. Goldschmidt adds a HR in 8th to make it 7-3. A lot of names in this recap, that is WIN METHOD, and it was a win.
Sweet win beating DeGrom. Total team effort from start to finish.

Blackburn is nerve racking to watch pitch. He doesn't have much if anything to fool hitters. Doesn't throw strikes and when he does tends to get hit hard. So far today the Yankee defense has kept the game close.

Yankees bat around and score 6 runs in sixth on a bases loaded base clearing double by Grisham a single by Escarra, a single by Judge, and single by Bellinger who started the inning for a 7-2 lead.

With Weathers being sick and losing nine pounds probably much wiser to let him fully recover than push him. So Rodon steps in a week earlier.

When I heard Jones was called up I made a lineup out last night and it is exactly the one that the Yanks are using tonight.
Fried having a horrid second inning, 2 walks and 4 soft seeing-eye singles for 4 runs. 40 pitches. Yanks in a 4-0 hole.
Yanks down 5-0 after 3.
Yanks being whitewashed, down 6-0 after eight innings. One more inning.
Final. Yankees lose 6-0. Fried gave up 5 early runs and it was over. Yanks 3 hits. That's all folks.

Recently, we have all seen what they did in the state of Virginia trying to wipe the republican party off the map by altering (gerrymandering) the states voting districts. The wiped out a fair and honest voting district map and created one that was corrupt and basically wiped out the republican party but for one district. However, the Supreme Court of Virginia has declared what the corrupt and criminal demonrat party did was UNCONSTITUTIONAL and struck down what they did.
The demonrats are destroying every state they control, and they are killing American citizens like you and me every single day. They are paying activists to foment violence at events they create, and the radical leftwing media is their willing ally supporting what they do and heralding the crimes that are committed.

That's two subpar games in a row from Fried. He didn't help himself in that 4 run inning. Started with a garbage single, but then he threw eights balls in a row and the bags were full with no outs. The next three hits were all cheap singles and that was the game. The Brewers produced when it mattered most.
The American people and people in all countries better wake up because the demonrats and their associates all over the world don't care any more about who they are. They are telling people who they are what and who they want to harm and destroy, and that they will do it by any means. Basically by lies and corruption, death and destruction.

Six innings in the books. Schlittler six scoreless innings. Yankees cling to 2-0 lead.
Yankee bullpen blows 2-0 lead. 2-2 after 8. Yankee bats dead in the water last two games.
On to extra innings tied at two.
McMahon rbi single gives Yanks 3-2 in tenth. Cruz in to pitch. Cruz allows tying run, Hill in with runners on first and second with one out. Hill makes a defensive blunder on a comebacker, bases loaded with one out Sac fly, game over, Yanks lose 4-3. All runs given up by the bullpen.
Final. Yankees lose 4-3 in ten innings. Schlittler six shutout innings wasted as four different Yankee relievers each give up a run to blow the game. Yankee offense missing in action except for Goldschmidt.
Rodon make his first start of the season tomorrow as a stopper?

Rodon with a bad fourth inning with walks and gives up 3 runs on 1 hit. Yanks trail 3-2.
Final. Yankees lose 4-3. Rodon one real bad inning gives up 3 runs. Bednar gives up walk-off HR in ninth and gets the loss. Judge solo HR, Jones rbi single, and Chisholm rbi double all the Yankee runs but not enough. Brewers sweep the Yankees who drop out of first place in the division.

Another one run bullpen loss as the lineup continues to flat line.
Two bad pitches, one by each team. Rice hits a two run HR on one bad pitch for all the Yankee runs in the game. Mayo hits a three run HR on one bad pitch for all the Oriole runs in the game.
