WIN METHOD - YANKEE BASEBALL
2025 SEASON - RACE TO THE PLAYOFFS
Perfect timing YANKEE fans. Here we are just a quarter into the 2025 season, just won a three game series from the Mets, and are leading the American League East Division by five games. A nice start to the season, and without our "ace" starter Gerrit Cole, who is out for the season after under going Tommy John surgery.
The good news from the 2024-2025 hot stove season is, no, make it great news, the YANKEES did not sign Juan Soto. 😊. The YANKEES and Brian Cashman had to go with Plan B. The result being, the YANKEES signed Max Fried, who has stepped right into the 'ace' position as starting pitcher. Signed Cory Bellinger, who has settled in as a left handed force in the lineup, as an everyday outfielder with spectacular defense. Signed Paul Goldschmidt who has been a gem offensively and defensively at first base. Allowed Jason 'Martian' Dominguez to be an everyday left fielder, who at 22 years of age, is still learning and developing as a hitter and outfielder and doing it at the Major League Baseball level.
Then there is Aaron Judge, there is nothing I can say that you all can't see for yourself, what Aaron Judge brings to this team and MLB baseball, both on and off the field, his character and his integrity. A true Most Valuable Player.
In other good news, the YANKEES have just had DJ LeMahieu return to the lineup after suffering several odd injuries which have kept DJ on the disabled list (DL), more on than off for over a year. Initial results, albeit just a few games have been positive. The on-going development of Will Warren, a young starting pitcher who has pitched his way onto the rotation and seems to be improving with each start, building confidence and acumen. Luis Gil, who suffered a high-grade lat strain in late February at spring training camp is on the mend, and we may see him join the starting rotation in late June. Jonathan Loaisiga has returned to the bullpen relief staff after a year on the disabled list with major elbow surgery. He has made three appearances so far, and has looked very dominant.
YANKEE youngsters, first baseman/catcher Ben Rice, and catcher Austin Wells are still blooming and growing, getting regular playing time at the MLB level while contributing to YANKEE wins. A sad note, Oswaldo Cabrera who had won the starting third base position, broke his ankle at home plate this past week, scoring a run. He will be out for at least three months, but should be back by September.
Once more, thank you WIN METHOD baseball fans. This blog will break two billion two hundred million views in a couple of weeks. That will happen because of your unwavering belief, viewership, and comments on this blog. You are the most knowledgeable and intelligent baseball fans in the world. You all know how to judge baseball talent using the WIN METHOD philosophy of producing when it counts and matters the most.
Let's all enjoy this season, the run to the playoffs, and beyond. The best is yet to come. LETS GO YANKEES, LETS GO.

Interesting lineup > more left-handed bats the right against a left-hander. Hope it works out.
Maybe the analysists think left handed bats do better than right handed bats. I guess we will find out. No matter, it still comes down to producing when it matters most, no matter who does it.
Yankees score first, putting up a five spot. Lead 5-0 mid second.
Yanks up 5-0 after 4.
Judge HR added a run, 6-0 after seven.
Final. Yankees win 6-3. 6-0 going into the bottom of ninth. Leiter gives up 3 runs and 4 hits putting the Yanks in danger of losing. Williams comes in, gets the final two outs and earns a save. Yankees scored 5 runs in second inning and Judge HR in seventh for their six runs. Schmidt went six scoreless inning for the win. Yankees clinch series and play for the sweep tomorrow,
Theeeeeeeeeeeeeee Yankeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Winnnnnnnnnn, 6-3.
Warren starts tomorrow's game with Yanks looking for a sweep.
When playing the third game of a series, it is so much better playing for a series sweep than playing for a series win.

OK, yesterday the lineup worked, again today? Without Judge, Chisholm, Wells. We will find out.
Let the bench players shine tonight, WIN, Lets go Yankees.
With Judge, Wells, Chisholm and LeMahieu on the bench we have pitchers due. No score after five.
Yankees batting in top of sixth >>> rain delay.
Rain over. Scoreless after six. Both starters out of game, both pitched gems.
Theeeeeeeeee Yankeeeeeeeeeeeeeees Winnnnnnnnnnnnnnn, 1-0.
Yanks win another 1-0 nailbiter. Reyes scores winning run on a single from Goldschmidt in 8th inning. Williams closes out game with a 1,2,3 ninth.
Final. Yankees win 1-0. Warren goes 5 2/3 innings. Hill 1, Leiter 1/3, Loaisiga 1, and Williams 1 go the final 3 1/3 innings. No one allowed a run. Leiter gets the win. Loaisiga gets a hold, and Williams gets the save. Reyes scores winning run on a Goldschmidt with winning single in eighth inning.
The win tonight was a sweep of the series with the Royals. Hop on a jet plane and fly to Boston for a three-game series with the sux.
Yarbrough, Rodon, and Fried starters for the sux series in Boston this weekend. Yes three left-handed pitchers in Fenway.

Rebound start from Yarbrough? Bats come alive after one run last night? Lets go Yankees.
Yanks down 1-0 after 2.
Failure when it matters most alert. 1-0 game, runners on 1st and 3rd, do not score. Massive failure.
Yankee bats failing for six innings and trail 1-0.
Judge HR in 9th ties game at one each. Extra innings.
Yanks lose it in 10th 2-1. Yankees top of 10th an abomination of garbage umpiring. Volpe called out at third base on a steal attempt, but he was safe. LeMahieu line drive down right field line called foul, but ball clearly hit foul line and was fair. And that is even with replays showing both calls were wrong.
Final. Yankees lose 2-1 in ten innings. Pathetic umpiring likely cost Yanks the game in10th inning. Runner called out on a clear steal of third base. And a line drive that hit the foul line called foul. Hill takes the loss. That's baseball.
Last two game Yanks scored one run in each game, yet won one and lost one. Two more games in Boston to play this weekend. Score runs, many, in both games and win both games. LETS GO YANKEES.

I would think the Yankees are overdue for an explosion of runs. Add in a bounce back start from Rodon and we should get a win tonight. But it is baseball.
OK just about time to play Yankee WIN METHOD baseball. Lets go Yankees.
Yanks down 1-0 after 2.
Yankee bats ice cold. Five innings tonight 0 runs. Down 2-0.
Rodon has failed three times tonight to get out of an inning without giving up a run with two outs and a runner in scoring position. In other words, the opposite is that the sux produced three times with a runner in scoring position scoring three times. Down 3-0.
Final. A flop. Yankees lose 4-3. After being down 4-0 after six innings, scored 2 in seventh and 1 in ninth, but alas too little too late for another series loss to the sux. Will need a win tomorrow to avoid a sweep.
One run loss, haha, Yankees played a pathetic game. I was fuming all game and most when they made it close.

My thought, the Yankees win today and score several runs. Meaning the Yanks will have outscore the sux in the series but lost the series. Conclusion, the WIN METHOD is the gold standard of baseball.
Four innings in, Yankees playing extremely poorly again. Base running⬇️producing when it matters most⬇️. Still five innings to go.
Final. Yankees lose 2-0. Get swept in Boston. They looked bad this series. Need to come home and sweep the Angles starting tomorrow.
will-i-am, it was a disaster. This three game series was the worse the Yankees have had for 103 years. Now that's bad. Also, I would think it was the worse threes game series that Judge has ever had, considering who they were playing. So many strikeouts then culminating the series with a double play with two runners on and a chance to win. One of the worse if not the worse.
Boston has traded Devers to the SF Giants. Really.

Dominguez sits as Stanton makes his return. Dominguez failed to produce enough. He is young and still growing. Schmidt another quality start, and with Yankee bats so overdue to wake up, should carry the day,
Two innings in, no score, and Yankees are 0 for 5 when it matters most. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot.
0-0 after 2.
WAKE UP GUYS, WAKE UP. It's time to put some runs on the board.
What is going on with the Yanks. Scoreless thru five innings again.
0-0 after 7.
Clarke goes 7 2/3 innings of shutout ball and leaves game with a no decision.
Bottom of ninth 0-0. Walk off??? Stanton first up. Double down the left field line. Dominguez in to pinch run. Chisholm up. Strikes out on three pitches. Failure when it counts most. Volpe up. Ground out to third baseman who tags Dominguez out. Wells up. Wells strikes out. Extra innings.
After nine innings 0-0. Failed when it mattered most. Angels 0-4. Yankees 0-11. Loaisiga in for 10th.
Going to the 11th. Yankees fail 3 more times when it mattered most, now 0-14 in game. One productive hit just once wins the game, but nooooooooo. Loaisiga staying in for 11th.
Yankees lose 1-0 in 11. Loaisiga gets the loss. Yankees go 0-17 when it mattered most in one their most pathetic games of all time.
Final. Yankees lose 1-0 in eleven innings. The Yankees had seventeen opportunities to produce when it mattered most to win the game and failed every time. Schmidt's best pitched game of his career is wasted. The bats are dead for the last five games. Loaisiga takes the loss he did not deserve.

Yanks down 3-0 after four, the beat goes on and on and on. Score some runs and win already.
Warren pitches a fine game, a quality start, six innings runs and K's 11. But leaves down 3-0 as Yankees are being stifled again.
Final. Yanks do it again, don't score a run, and this game not even close. Lose 4-0. Warren had a great outing, going six innings with 11 strikeouts, giving up 3 runs. Judge looks to be in a funk, has looked horrendous for about a week now, and his batting average has plummeted 30 points.
Theeeeeeeeeeeeeee Yankeeeeeeeeeeeees Losssssssssssssssssse 4-0. Ugh!
Will the Yankees drop out of the division lead before they get their act together?

A win a win, my kingdom for a win.
Chisholm solo HR in 2nd for a 1-1 tie and the first Yankee run in as the saying goes, 'a month of Sundays'.
Bellinger solo HR in 4th for a 2-a Yankee lead. That is the first time the Yankees have had a lead in any game since last Thursday in KC. Today is Wednesday, that is a week.
Volpe with an error 'when it mattered most' on double play ball that would have ended the inning, but instead gave the Angels a run and a 3-2 lead.
The Yankee go down the Rangoon receptacle again. Lose 3-2. Volpe error cost them the game. To top it off he ended the game by striking out on a fast ball down the middle, missing it by six inches. Horrendous baseball.
Final. Yankees lose 3-2. Both Yankee runs were solo HR's, Chisholm and Bellinger. The Yankees for another game did not produce when it mattered most (except for the solo home runs) for the entire game. Volpe error gave the game to the Angels. Didn't make the play when it mattered most. Cruz took the loss. Yankees now have the chance of getting swept in a four game series tomorrow afternoon.
Six straight losses. NO ONE is hitting. But still in first place.
Rodon starts todays afternoon game at the Stadium and will try to prevent the Yankees being swept in the four game series with the Angels. If the Yankees lose today they ill have been swept in two consecutive series and have lost their seventh game in a row. This Yankee past week of baseball has been one of the worse, if not the worse, stretches of baseball they have played in a very long time. It has been the most non WIN METHOD stretch of games I can remember.

YANKEES lead 3-0 after two on solo home runs from Grisham, Escarra, and Rice.
Schmidt goes seven innings of no hit ball as Yanks lead 9-0. 103 pitches and he shouldn't come out for the eighth.
Yanks win 9-0. Schmidt gets the win pitching 7 innings of 0 hit ball. Yankee bats come alive, four home runs scoring early and often for a laugher win. Do it again tomorrow for the series win.
GREAT NEWS ----- ALERT ----- GREAT NEWS
President Trump announced Saturday the United States had bombed three Iranian nuclear sites, including the Fordow site that is located in a mountainside. “We have completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan,” Trump posted on Truth Social.
“All planes are now outside of Iran air space. A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordow. All planes are safely on their way home,” Trump added. “Congratulations to our great American Warriors. There is not another military in the World that could have done this. NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE!”
God bless America and God bless President Donald J. Trump.
Trump to address the nation tonight at 10 PM ET
If Iran doesn't surrender, hit them again. Free the Iranian people from their sick demented terrorist madman.

Finally, Jazz with a two rbi double for a 3-2 lead, followed by LeMahieu rbi grounder for a 4-2 lead.
Final. Yankees win 4-2. Chisholm star of game for Yankees, with 2 runs scored and 2 rbi's. Warren went 6 1/3 allowing just 2 runs and kept the Yankees in the game as the bats did nothing failing when it mattered most until the 8th inning when Chisholm came thru with the game winning hit. Cruz got the win and Williams the save.

Yanks up 3-0 after 4.
Rodon goes six solid scoreless innings and leaves leading 3-0. BUT, Loaisiga comes in for seventh and gives up 3 runs taking a possible win away from Rodon and putting the Yankees in jeopardy of losing.
Extra innings tied at three.
3-3 going to the eleventh.
Yankees score 1 in 11th for 4-3 lead but give up 2 in the 11th for a 5-4 loss. There are no words to describe the frustration of tonight's loss.
Final. Yankees lose 5-4 in eleven innings. Leiter takes the loss. Loaisiga created the loss, Yankee bats utter failure again except for one three run inning. Yankees lose another series, and lead in AL East in peril.
Final. Yankees lose 5-4 in eleven innings. Loaisiga blows game. Jazz blows his cool. Rodon six innings of shutout ball wasted.
HORRENDOUS LOSS. Bats are dead.
The Yankees scored 3 runs on 6 hits in the first 5 innings off the Reds rookie pitcher making his first MLB start. In the final 6 innings the Yankees scored 1 run had 1 hit off the Reds bullpen and the run scored was the ghost runner on a wild pitch. The Yankees are creating new recipes for losses.
Fried with a life saver to prevent the sweep. Only if the Yankees score some runs.
If the Yankees only had a Derek Jeter clone, they would win everything this season. Jeter is one of the greatest WIN METHOD players of all time.

Some first inning for Warren, faces six batters and no one put the ball in play. He walked three and struck out three. About 40 pitches. Five innings would be about the best he can do tonight.
Called it. Warren goes five innings. Best of all they were scoreless innings. Leaves game with Yanks on top 3-0. Threw 100 pitches. Outstanding and still learning and developing.
Yanks up 3-0 after 6.
Yankees win series opener 3-0.
Final. Yankees win 3-0. Warren five scoreless for the win. Hill, Cruz, Weaver, one scoreless inning each and each a hold. Williams scoreless night for the save. Lineup barely alive. Chisholm a solo HR. Bellinger and LeMahieu rbi singles. Judge massive failure again tonight.

Yankees trail 7-0 after 8. Unless a miracle strikes the Bronx the series will be even, and Yankees have Stroman starting the rubber game tomorrow with the Yankee bats dead.
Easy recap. Yanks lose 7-0. Schmidt the loss giving up 4 runs on a solo HR and 3 run HR. Winans gives up 3 runs closing out the Yankee pitching. Offense, didn't show up for the game.
Wasted afternoon. Yanks ugly game. Lose 7-0.

Leiter in for sixth replacing Rodon with man on second. Leiter has nothing giving up Rodon run and three of his own. Yanks quickly down 5-3.
Yankees give away another one. Lose 5-4 with lousy defense. (Volpe)
Yankees lose 5-4, Leiter takes the loss with ineffective relief not helped by his defense. Volpe mental and physical errors. Bad start to the four game series.
Boone did it again. Sends Rodon out in the sixth with over 90+ pitches instead of the reliever coming in to start the inning.
He has done that repeatedly throughout the season. In my opinion, it is a very stupid idea. I think it is always better to bring in a reliever at the start of an inning and not after there are men on base.

I can only hope the team knows what they have to do. Sadly, with Boone in charge, I wouldn't bet on it.
Need to find a way to win one way or another, by hook or by crook.
One inning played, Yanks down 7-0. Yes, seven. Not a typo.
Yanks 8-0 after 4. Not in first place anymore.
Yankees score 6 in 5th, trail 8-6.
After trailing 8-0 thru 3 innings, Yankees come all the way back to tie game 9-9 in 8th inning and then closer Williams lose it 11-9. Drop out of first place in division for the first time since April 13th.
Funny but not funny. When Yankees started game down 7-0 I expected a loss. When they scored 6 runs in the fifth inning to get to 8-6 down, thought they had a chance but was still expecting a loss. When Judge tied it in the 8th at 9-9 I thought could it happen and thought no. I was right from start to finish as Williams gave up 2 runs in the 8th for 11-9 loss. Writing this now, I feel sadness.
Game four of the series tomorrow, and sadly the Yankees are playing to not get swept. Schmidt on the mound.
The great events of this July 4th holiday and weekend will be etched in the annals of history forever in a most positive way.

Sweep or no sweep, that is the question.
Yanks down 1-0 after 2.
Schmidt out of game after 3 innings. Right forearm tightness. Not good according to Cone.
Yanks down 6-5 after 7.
Yankees go down 8-5. Get swept by Toronto. Toronto tells Yankees, don't let the door hit you on the way out.
Final. Yankees lose 8-5. Every time the Yankees scored to get with a run, the pitchers gave up runs to the Jays to increase the lead. Yankees lose the four game series and head home with their tail between their legs.
Yankees come back to NY tonight and play Mets a three game holiday weekend series in Queens as road games.
Happy INDEPENDENCE DAY, July 4, 2025. The USA is 249 years old.

Today, July 4th, the Yankees need to set off an explosion of fireworks of their own by way of runs and more importantly, WIN.
5-3 Yankees after five innings. Judge and Bellinger solo home runs and Dominguez with a solo and two run home run for all five Yankee runs.
Yankees do it again, find another way to lose. Final 6-5. Bullpen loses it with Weaver taking the loss.
Rodon and Fried need back to back wins.
It's a lot easier playing when you are a few games in front, but now the Yankees are a few games behind. A little over halfway through the season and coming to the All-Star game break. I believe the team has a plan to win it all.

Far overdue for a WIN.
Yankees down 4-0 after one as Rodon gives up a grand slam.
Yankees down 7-4 after six. They are killing themselves, be it hitting, pitching, or fielding. They are in the Bermuda Triangle.
Yankees get hammered by Mets, losing 12-6. Embarrassing.
Forget about it, tomorrow is another day.

There is nothing more to say. Only the Yankee organization can fix their problems. Be it at the top, the corporate system, the internal system, the on field philosophy and play, and everything else that has created this downfall.
Yanks up 3-0 after 4.
Yankee after up 5-0 are now up 5-4 after sixth inning.
Theeeeeeeeeeeeeee Yankeeeeeeeeeeeeeees Winnnnnnnnnnnnnn, 6-4.
