WIN METHOD - MID SEASON 2022

Greetings WIN METHOD baseball fans and those of you trying to save America from being destroyed by the people presently running/ruining America right now.  Eight months is a long time between blog posts, but once this season got rolling, I didn't want to upset the applecart.

The 2022 season, what can I say?  So far so good.  This team seems to be on a mission and their goal is the World Series.   The mid-point of the season seemed to be a good time to chime in.  Having a thirteen-game lead on your closest competitor is a pretty good place to be in.

The YANKEE minor league teams have a great amount of up-and-coming talent developing through the system and should make for a consistent playoff team for many years to come.  The loser fans who are not happy with making the playoffs consistently have issues to deal with in their thought process.  Since the onset of the WIN METHOD, the YANKEES have been the winningest team in all of baseball and have never had a losing season.  Unfortunately, no team can win the big prize all the time, and no team can even play for the big prize all the time, however, no team comes close to playing for and winning the World Series more than the YANKEES.

Here is a bit of information all WIN METHOD YANKEE fans should love hearing, here it is, Aaron Judge will finish his career in a New York YANKEE uniform.

Now, as the YANKEES continue through this season, it appears apparent to most YANKEE fans, the YANKEES need to do some tinkering with player personnel to upgrade the team in certain positions.  Let me tell you, YANKEE management is well aware of these concerns and are addressing them.  I cannot divulge who, how, where, when, and what will be done, because it is an ongoing process with many variables that must be considered and accounted for.  Please remember fans, the YANKEES management makes the final decisions after hearing all input from many sources.  Then after all is concluded, it always comes down to the performance of the players on the field when it matters and counts most.  No individual stat of any player is more important than the team winning.  Wins and winning are in the final analysis the determining factor in the best players and teams are every season.

The YANKEES have been playing .700 baseball so far this season and that is outstanding.  Just playing .600 baseball for the rest of the season will carry them to the playoffs.

WIN METHOD fans, you all know when this blog started, how it has grown, and number of views that it has received over the past fourteen years.  It is the number one YANKEE baseball blog, forum, site, message board in the world.  WIN METHOD fans, you did that.  Many of you have come from other sites that have either failed or folded, are struggling with minimal views, or are still in operation, but are of poor quality where posters are not really allowed to speak freely.  You WIN METHOD fans have this blog on track to reach one billion four hundred million views this year.  THANK YOU ALL, THE GREATEST AND MOST INTELLIGENT BASEBALL FANS ON EARTH.

Clarke Schmidt in for the seventh. Three innings from him would be great.

Final. Yankees win 6-0. Cortes six shutout innings for the win and Schmidt three shutout innings for the save. It sure looks like Cortes is the ace of the staff. Good production when it mattered today from the offense made for a comfortable win. Yankees take the series.

coryankee said...

After last nights Cole fiasco, a good and needed win today. Wins are all that matters.

Jason Jarrar said...

Off day tomorrow. Perfect timing to figure out options for the rest of season. Injuries are always a factor and a teams depth becomes all important. Will a deal be forthcoming in the next nine days? OK, as long as you don't sell the farm and stay away of sickening huge dollar contracts which hurt much more often than they help.

Ned Green said...

Mets up next for Yankees. Two game series Tue. and Wed. Monty and German listed for Yanks.

Margo Walley said...

Heads up people. Five months until Christmas Day.

Alex Antonius said...

Off day. Smile, be happy. Vote conservative republican. Yes we can.

yankeeclipper said...

Just say no to the Nationals re Soto unless the deal is well in our favor. The nationals are the ones in the hard place if they want to sell the team. If I am looking to buy the team I tell them right on front, I won't make an offer if Soto is traded. Don't get me wrong, I don't want Soto, I want to be the one dealing him for what I want.

No deals by anybody, yet. Who will fall?

No Stanton again. Subway series. Take NYC subways at your own risk.

Ron Francis said...

Stanton placed on the 10 day DL. Tendonitis in his achilies heel.

Swen Jorgenson said...

Judge and Rizzo with back to back home runs in top of first. Monty says, I can beat that and then gives up four runs in the bottom of the first. Yanks down 4-2.

candycane said...

Yankees down 5-2 after 3.

candycane said...

Yanks down 5-3 after 6.

will-i-am said...

Final. Yankees lose 6-3. Monty dug the hole in the first inning giving up 4 runs. Yankees got back to back HRs in first inning from Judge and Rizzo and eked out just 1 more run the rest of the game. Had a chance or two but never produced when it mattered most. Monty couldn't get thru the third inning and gave up 5 runs. Yankee bullpen gave the offense a chance allowing just 1 run the rest of the game.

Cal Fuerst said...

Monty came up short and lost the game pretty much on his own.

German starts tonight with Yankees needing a win to salvage the series.

6. Josh Donaldson (R) 3B

8. Isiah Kiner-Falefa (R) SS
9. Kyle Higashioka (R) C

Same as yesterday except for catcher. Different result?

YankeeMike said...

Yankees trailing 2-0 thru four innings. German not great but is much better than in his last start.

Nick Polito said...

After facing seven innings of brilliant pitching from Scherzer and being shutout, the Yankees see a Met reliever in eighth and the first two batters, Rizzo walks and Torres hits two run home run to tie game at 2-2.

will-i-am said...

Final. Yankees lose 3-2. Peralta loses it in 9th. Torres game tying 2 run HR in 8th Yankees only runs of game. Yankee did hit some rockets off of Scherzer but did not score off him in seven innings. Scherzer made Judge look awful K'ing him three times. Again, the Yankees never produced when it mattered most but for Torres' HR.

BIGTIMEYANKEE said...

Next up a four game long weekend series with the KC Royals at Yankee Stadium. Taillon, Cole, Cortes, and Monty will start. How about winning this series.

yankeeclipper said...

The Yankees have announced an agreement to acquire outfielder Andrew Benintendi from Kansas City in exchange for pitching prospects Beck Way, T.J. Sikkema and Chandler Champlain. Yankees add another left handed bat, high contact, low strike out player. Benintendi can't hurt and the Yankees didn't give up that much, but you never know how the give-a-ways will develop. We got what we needed now.

Gus Papa said...

Benintendi will make an immediate impact and will love Yankee Stadium.

Hopefully Benintendi signals the end of Gallo.

5. Aaron Hicks (S) CF
6. Josh Donaldson (R) 3B
7. Joey Gallo (L) RF
8. Marwin Gonzalez (S) SS
9. Jose Trevino (R) C

Welcone Andrew Benintendi. I can see LeMahieu getting a day off, but why is Gallo in lineup yet again? We need to win tonight for a 5-5 ten game set.

Zhedo Kopeky said...

Hope Benintendi gets off to a good start and even produces when it matters most this weekend. NY can be a tough crowd. Lets go Yankees. DJ not playing and Gallo playing does not help. What is Boone's problem. The world can see Gallo is toast playing for the Yankees.

Roy Shaw said...

Scoreless thru two.

candycane said...

0-0 after 5.

Yanks23245 said...

Taillon goes six shutout innings and leaves with a no decision. Yankee only have one hit and have looked bad at the plate so far. Marinaccio in for the seventh inning.

yankeedoodledandy said...

Still no runs for either team after eight innings. Marinaccio throws two shutout innings and Holmes in for the ninth.

Tom Wilson said...

0 runs and 1 hit thru eight innings may be something you could expect when you have two of your best contact hitters on the bench in DJ and IKF, and a no contact three strikeout hitter in the lineup. Just saying!

reinvaldez said...

Thhhheeeeeeeeeeeeeee YANKEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES win. 1-0.

will-i-am said...

Final. Yankees win 1-0. Yankees get only their second hit of game in bottom of ninth, and it was a big one. Judge hits a walk off game winning home run. Tallion (6), Marinaccio (2), and Holmes (1), pitch nine shutout innings and Holmes gets the win.

Walt Belamy said...

Glad we won tonight. Pitching and one swing of a bat won it. A win is a win. A one run win has the same value as any other win by any amount of runs.

Ten game set log. 2022 Season

Set one----- 01 - 10--- 5-5-- 05-05..Not good. Playing .500 ball means no playoffs.
Set two----- 11 - 20--- 9-1-- 14-06..As good as it gets, almost perfect.
Set three--- 21 - 30--- 8-2-- 22-08..Another great ten game set. So far so good.
Set four---- 31 - 40--- 7-3-- 29-11..Not as good as the last two sets, but still good.
Set five---- 41 - 50--- 6-4-- 35-15..Very good set considering team injuries.
Set six----- 51 - 60--- 9-1-- 44-16..Another dominant set. Very strong.
Set seven--- 61 - 70--- 8-2-- 52-18..Yes, another great ten game set. The beat goes on.
Set eight--- 71 - 80--- 6-4-- 58-22..A good series. Half way home and 14 game lead.
Set nine---- 81 - 90--- 4-6-- 62-28..Due to happen, a losing set. Still 12 game lead.
Set ten----- 91 -100--- 5-5-- 67-33..Just holding our own maintaining a double digit lead.

Sixty-two games to go. Playoffs are in the bag and division title is more than likely.

Cole does it again. With a 3-0 lead he allows 5 runs in the fifth inning putting Yanks in the hole 5-3. "Ace", doesn't look like it. Some awfully hard hit balls in inning with the capper being a 3 run homer.

bigbadwolf said...

Baseball fans, when you really think about it, and use your brain, you should easily see why the WIN METHOD is so good. It is not complicated nor convoluted, and it is not made up. It is common sense. You have a player (Juan Soto) refuse a fifteen year 440 million dollar contract to try to suck even more money from any baseball team owner willing to pay him whatever he is striving for. If the Yankee did what the Padres did, I can see why it would have been so devastating to the organization. You get a guy who is only playing for money and would play for anyone who would give him what he wants. You totally deplete your minor league system of its projected best talent at several positions. Nothing would thrill me more than to see the Yankees win the World Series this year or in the immediate future. Obtaining Soto would have prevented that and put a significant dent if not hole in the Yankee franchise financially. The Padres will be the ones suffering the consequences. I would much rather see our youngsters develop and become stars and lead the team very soon.

BIGTIMEYANKEE said...

So much of winning baseball is mental and psyche. Players come and go, up and to from the majors to minors and vice versa, players are traded, player become free agents, etc. When a player is moved for any reason there is logic, a plan, an idea behind it. The Montgomery loss has none of these thoughts to back it up. It is far worse than a boondoggle, it is an offense that in my opinion is immediately fireable.

Getting back to the mental and psyche part. I wonder how the players, coaches, manager, scouts, front office personnel think about this tragic event occurring in their organization.

The Yankees are off tomorrow and then head to St. Louis to play the Cardinals a three game weekend series. The Yankees have named Cortes, German, and Montas to start. Time to regroup and play better baseball.

Cory said...

After reading on forums, sites, blogs, and the Yankee comments regarding the trade deadline deals. I am now going play devil's advocate and present my opinions and thoughts on what the Yankees may be attempting to do going in the post season.

I will start by making an assumption. The Yankees win their division and make the playoffs.

1.The Yankees will start the playoffs with their best players starting.
2.In the outfield, Benintendi LF, Bader CF, Judge RF.
3.In the infield, LeMahieu 3B, Kiner-Falefa SS, Torres 2B, Rizzo, 1B.
4.Catcher, Trevino.
5.Designated hitter, Stanton.
6.Rotation, Cole, Louie Louie, Montas, Cortes.
7.Bullpen, Holmes, Effross, Chapman. Loaisiga, Peralta, Taillon, Trivino, Marinaccio.
8.Bench, Higashioka, Carpenter, Hicks, Donaldson.

That is 25, that means one more name. Britton? Abreu? Locastro?

Hobbs said...

If the Yankees feel they have made the playoffs for sure, isn't it logical that they are trying to build and put the team into the best possible position for a post season playoff run?

If you are using individual stats to look at how the team is performing at any point of time frame during this season, you are an idiot. The only point and goal of the 162 game season is to make the playoffs. How it is done and how a team gets there does not matter and need not to conform to anyone's idea of how it should be done, particularly those of stat frauds.

YankeeMike said...

Hobbs, I think you nailed it. When the playoffs start, the players who perform the best when it matters the most will advance their team. It looks, by what the Yankees did at the trading deadline, they have put in place a plan to compete with any team in the playoffs.

Yankeefan2 said...

Hobbs, I agree. Just like in a horse race, winning by a nose is the same as winning by ten lengths. The payoff is the same. The Yankees making the playoffs is no different, once you make the playoffs that race is over. The playoffs are a new race and getting as best prepared for that race is smart.

Jackson DeWitt-Iowa said...

You don't know who are going to play in the post season, all you can do is start the playoffs with the best team you can. It makes no difference what any stats say, what any stat frauds say, what any talking or writing heads say, or what any fan(s) think or say. You just to have to defeat whoever you are playing one win at a time, and one series at a time. There is only one way in the world to do that, and it is with WINNING and WINS. That is why the WIN METHOD is number one in the world. Everything else in Barbra Streisand.

Montgomery to start Saturdays game for the Cardinals. So we traded Monty and he is starting against us. We got Bader in return and he is on the DL. Seems reasonable.

FloridaYankee said...

Is it possible Cole was making a point to Cashman for trading Monty at the last minute for nothing? Monty was well liked by the other starters. Cole seemed to groove his pitches and they seemed very straight to me with no real break. I believe the Yankee announcers mentioned a couple of times in the inning how Coles pitches were down the middle doing nothing. The next five innings was a different story, five shutout innings, but he made his point, if indeed that was what he was doing.

5. Josh Donaldson (R) 3B
6. Matt Carpenter (L) RF

Three game series opener. Get off to a good start with a win.

Torres batting in the cleanup spot tonight has come up in the first and third innings. Both times there was a runner on third with less than two outs. Torres saw three pitches in both at bats and struck out both times on pitches well out of the strike zone. He is slipping off the cliff. Hitters have up and down streaks, no doubt, but his down streaks seem to last a very long time.

Yankees leading 3-2 after seven. It's down to a bullpen game now.

Final. Yankees lose 4-3. Holmes blows another game giving up 2 runs in 8th inning for the loss. Torre two fails early in the game with runner on third base and less than two outs, failing to even make contact with the ball, striking out on three pitches both times. Donaldson and Carpenter basically the Yankee offense tonight. Still a loss.

Good news. Torres did not strike out tonight with a runner on third and less than two outs tonight. He didn't get the chance. He came to bat with runners on first and second, so he hit into a double play. Sad.

Final. Yankees lose 1-0. German gave up a first inning run, went five innings and takes the loss. The Yankees did get two hits. Yankees lose this series and need a win tomorrow to not get swept. Two one losses. But you have to look at the bright side, the Yankees only played with half a lineup tonight.

Here are some stats that are important and meaningful. Team won loss stats since July 1st for the five American League East Division teams

1 Baltimore 21-8
2 Tampa 17-14
3 Toronto 15-16
4 YANKEES 14-17
5 bosux 11-21

The fact is these games are just a trend. Trends have ups and downs. The defining stat will be at the conclusion of the season, that is when the final regular season won loss record will tell which teams make the playoffs and which teams go home to watch the best of the best players and teams in the post season.

Sorry stat frauds, all your fake formula stats and whatever else you use and claim are what defines players in teams gets flushed down the toilet bowl with everything you say about the meaningless stat you use.

Cory, thanks for your work. Stat frauds don't even know what their formulas and fake stats mean. They are told how to interpret the fake stats and how great they are. It is exactly like the democrat liberal scum and the joe-bama/commie MALADY administration telling those stupid enough to listen to and believe them how great the country is doing. The stat frauds are unable and or unwilling to see and believe what is real. The stat fraud mantra is bah, baah, bahh, bah, baaaahhh.

The Yankee plan the way it looks to me, is to get everyone rested and as healthy as possible for the post season. I believe their lineup for October will be mentally and physically ready to do as much damage as possible. How far they go in the playoffs will be how much they players produce when it matters most to be the best. Let's go Yankees. Yes you can.

Howie Long said...

It never ceases to amaze me just how stupid so many baseball fans are. Baseball for decades was two leagues and only the team with the most wins went to the World Series went to it and only the team who won four games won the World Series. Baseball then started the playoffs and the playoffs have grown and grown. However, there is still just one way to get to the playoffs. Teams must win enough games. As the playoffs grew the number of series you had to win increased and the only way to move on was by winning. Until you reached the World Series and had to win four more games to become the best of the best.

Stat frauds hate the above paragraph. It defeats their narrative of fake statistics, luck, crapshoot, and them lying about why their great individual stat players make a fortune for failing to help lead their team to the playoffs and advance to the end.

Ten game set log. 2022 Season

Set one------- 01 - 10--- 5-5-- 05-05..Not good. Playing .500 ball means no playoffs.
Set two------- 11 - 20--- 9-1-- 14-06..As good as it gets, almost perfect.
Set three----- 21 - 30--- 8-2-- 22-08..Another great ten game set. So far so good.
Set four------ 31 - 40--- 7-3-- 29-11..Not as good as the last two sets, but still good.
Set five------ 41 - 50--- 6-4-- 35-15..Very good set considering team injuries.
Set six------- 51 - 60--- 9-1-- 44-16..Another dominant set. Very strong.
Set seven----- 61 - 70--- 8-2-- 52-18..Yes, another great ten game set. The beat goes on.
Set eight----- 71 - 80--- 6-4-- 58-22..A good series. Half way home and 14 game lead.
Set nine------ 81 - 90--- 4-6-- 62-28..Due to happen, a losing set. Still 12 game lead.
Set ten------- 91 -100--- 5-5-- 67-33..Just holding our own maintaining a double digit lead.
Set eleven----100 -110--- 4-6-- 71-39..Another losing set. Still a double digit lead.

That is now four sets in a row playing totaling 19-21 baseball. To balance and put in perspective the six sets prior were 47-13. General consensus is a team can play .600 baseball over the entire season they will make the playoffs. It does not make any difference when you win or lose as long as you make the playoffs. 52 games left in the regular season.
