This season we appear to have improved the roster in all areas. Adding Stanton, Walker, Drury, etc. will surely make this team better. Having Robertson, Kahnle, and Gray for the entire season should also improve the team. The only injury of consequence is Greg Birds bone spur, the surgery he just underwent, and him being out for about two months. As usual we will play the hand we are dealt and overcome all roadblocks and obstacles.
We have several players at AAA Scranton chomping at the bit while blooming and growing that will be heard from and make their presence felt this season. You know their names, Torres, Andujar, German, and others. This 2018 Yankee team is deep, has gained confidence and experience, and has backups close at hand.
As I started to write this post I noticed a post by Cory. I thought his post was very insightful and positive and I didn't want it to get bypassed because of being posted in a past blog, so I am reposting it right here now. Thank you for your post Cory.
----- I will be doing the ten game sets and posting them here as I did last season.
Here is the sets from last season.
10. 6-4
20. 7-3 = 13-7
30. 8-2 = 21-9
40. 3-7 = 24-16
50. 6-4 = 30-20
60. 7-3 = 37-23
70. 2-8 = 39-31
80. 4-6 = 43-37
90. 4-6 = 47-43
100. 7-3 = 54-46
110. 5-5 = 59-51
120. 6-4 = 65-55
130. 5-5 = 70-60
140. 5-5 = 75-65
150. 8-2 = 83-67
160. 7-3 = 90-70
Note the sets from games 61-90. We were 10-20. That is awful baseball. Still finished 91-71. With everything else staying the same if that 30 game skid could be bettered this season to just 15-15 that would mean this season could wind up 96-66. If we improve the three 5-5 sets from last season by one game that would take this season to 99-63. And if we raise the 3-7 set to 4-6 that could take this season to 100 wins.
It will be up to the players on the field producing when it matters most, but it is surely possible.-----
It is not only Cory with great posts, it is all of your posts, every single one of you from all over the world who post your comments and views here. And all of the readers of the WIN METHOD blog from all over the world, even if you do not post. We have surpassed 320 million views and are getting bigger and bigger every day. Yes, we still get some stat frauds, but they are good for us and also and serve a purpose. The stat frauds give us a guidepost and remind us of just how meaningless and useless their individual stats are. There is no doubt to anyone here who is a WIN METHOD fan that only wins can take a team to the playoffs. Only wins and winning as always, do now, and always will in the future, determine the best players and teams. THANK YOU ALL WIN METHOD FANS.
Now it is just about that time where we all stand up and cheer our team for the 2018 season!
LETS GO YANKEES

«Oldest ‹Older 1401 – 1600 of 2301 Newer› Newest»Continuing the suspended game tomorrow the Nats will be at bat in the bottom of the sixth.
We don't know who is going to pitch the 6th inning for the Yankees in the suspended game because Boone could use Tanaka who was the starting pitcher and still in the game. However, Tanaka is injured and on the DL. So Boone can name anyone to come in to pitch and go from there.
Would be great if we could win two tonight.
At some point this Yankee team has just got to put their offense together by playing WIN METHOD baseball to the ultimate degree and ravage the competition.
Lets go Yankees.
Chad Green is picking up where Tanaka left off in suspended game in 6th inning.
Yanks down right away 5-3 after 6 as Green gives up 2 run HR.
Final, Yankees lose suspended game 5-3 as they continue to fail to produce with men on base time after time.
Monday 6/18 6:45pm
Sonny Gray (R)
@ Nationals - Erick Fedde (R)
1. Aaron Hicks (S) CF
2. Aaron Judge (R) RF
3. Didi Gregorius (L) SS
4. Giancarlo Stanton (R) LF
5. Gleyber Torres (R) 2B
6. Greg Bird (L) 1B
7. Miguel Andujar (R) 3B
8. Austin Romine (R) C
9. Sonny Gray (R) P
Bush league rules by the inferior AAAA league again.
1-1 thru 3.
3-2 Yankees after five.
Yanks up 4-2 after seven.
Yanks lead 4-2 after 8.
4-2 Yankees after 8.
If the Yankees win this game, Holder deserves all the credit in the world when he came in to relieve Gray in the sixth win men on 1st and 3rd with no outs, and pitched brilliantly to prevent the Nats from scoring.
Final, Yankees win 4-2. Chapman struggled mightily but saves it.
Right down to the last pitch. Come on guys, lets win a little easier sometimes.
Back home for three game series with Seattle. German, Loaisiga, and Louie Louie the starters.
Should be a good series with the Mariners. They are throwing their 1,2,3 pitchers. We are going with our 4,5,6.
coryankee, You erred, Louie Louie is not a 6, he is a 1. So it should be 5,6,1.
German will try to win the second game of his major league career tonight building on his first win last start.
Stanton knocked in 2 runs last night with a single and a double. Now if all the other Yankees can do the same and get on the same page and just not swing for the seats all the time.
This would be another big series to win. Playing a quality team.
It would be very nice to see more production when it counts from more guys. There is the old saying, "keep the line moving". Meaning get on base anyway you can, HBP, walk, bunt, bloop, line drive. Lets go guys.
Tuesday 6/19 7:05pm
Domingo German (R)
vs. Mariners - Marco Gonzales (L)
1. Aaron Hicks (S) CF
2. Aaron Judge (R) RF
3. Giancarlo Stanton (R) DH
4. Didi Gregorius (L) SS
5. Gary Sanchez (R) C
6. Gleyber Torres (R) 2B
7. Greg Bird (L) 1B
8. Miguel Andujar (R) 3B
9. Clint Frazier (R) LF
Frazier in at LF with Stanton DH. Lets go Yankees.
Frazier gets another opportunity. This lineup has six, yes 6, guys who were all minor leaguers two seasons ago.
Just keep winning. Wins are all that counts not how you get them.
Tanaka should be able to go again within a week.
Final, Yankees win 7-2. German with a gem.
1-10 5-5
11-20 6-4 = 11-9
21-30 9-1 = 20-10
31-40 8-2 = 28-12
41-50 5-5 = 33-17
51-60 9-1 = 42-18
61-70 6-4 = 48-22
A small step forward this ten game set. Next ten game set concludes first half of season.
Six of our seven runs tonight came via four home runs. The final result is all that counts.
It's always great to win the first game of a series. Now we can talk about winning this series with a win either today or tomorrow. Even a sweep with wins both days.
German is slowly blooming and growing has he gains experience and confidence. Now it is Loaisiga's turn.
Great if Loaisiga does today what he did last start.
With German's seven innings and Cole's two last night the bullpen is full bore.
Cory, 26 over .500 is not bad. Staying away from any negative ten game sets and all should be fine.
Win again Loaisiga. Make the most of your chance at the big leagues.
Wednesday 6/20 7:05pm
Jonathan Loaisiga (R)
vs. Mariners - Felix Hernandez (R)
1. Aaron Hicks (S) CF
2. Aaron Judge (R) RF

5. Gleyber Torres (R) 2B
6. Gary Sanchez (R) C
7. Greg Bird (L) 1B
8. Miguel Andujar (R) 3B
9. Clint Frazier (R) LF
Sanchez dropped to 6 hole and Bird to 7 hole. Frazier in LF again. Lets go Yankees.
I see our old friend the 'dancing queen' is pitching against us tonight.
Why trade for some other teams dumping of a pitcher when we bloom and grown better on our own.
Lets go Yankees. Win this series tonight.
Yankees down 3-0 thru four.
Yankees come back from a 5-0 hole to tie game at 5 after 8.
Stanton walk-off 2 run HR for a 7-5 comeback win.
Final, an amazing 7-5 walk-off win. Down 5-0 after 5, the Yankees chipped away at the Mariner lead and won the game and this series.
Louie Louie today for a try to sweep the Mariners.
Thursday 6/21 1:05pm
Luis Severino (R)
vs. Mariners - James Paxton (L)
1. Clint Frazier (R) CF
2. Aaron Judge (R) RF

4. Didi Gregorius (L) SS
5. Gleyber Torres (R) 2B
6. Miguel Andujar (R) DH
7. Greg Bird (L) 1B
8. Austin Romine (R) C
9. Neil Walker (S) 3B
Walker at 3B and Andujar DH. Sweeeeeeeeeeeeep!
Yanks up 4-2 after 2.
Yanks clinging to lead 4-3 after six. Louie Louie had to work very hard. Out after 5 2/3.
Final, Yanks win 4-3. Robertson, Betances hold, Chapman save.
We swept a good team that came in hot. Sweet.
Off to Tampa for a three game weekend series. CC, Gray, German the listed starters.
Another game today and the only way we score is by a home run. We do keep winning.
Amazing, you guys just win every way possible.
Goal in Tampa. Win another series. Yes we can. Lets go Yankees. WIN METHOD baseball.
MAWRY, Wins and winning are why the games should be played for. Individual stats and losing are for the losers.
When teams win and go to the playoffs they are the best. Only the stat frauds go on to claim the high stat losers are the best and then blame his teammates for the losses.
Friday 6/22 7:10pm
CC Sabathia (L)
@ Rays - Ryne Stanek (R)
1. Brett Gardner (L) LF
2. Aaron Judge (R) RF
3. Giancarlo Stanton (R) DH
4. Didi Gregorius (L) SS
5. Gary Sanchez (R) C
6. Aaron Hicks (S) CF
7. Greg Bird (L) 1B
8. Miguel Andujar (R) 3B
9. Gleyber Torres (R) 2B
Gardner back in. Four left handed bats. Full power lineup.
Lets go Yankees, win game one.
Yankees down 2-0 after 5.
Yankees trailing 2-1 thru 7.
Final, Yankees go down 2-1 in a very lackluster effort. Sanchez swinging for the seats eery at bat and goes 0-4.
Gray today to try to even series. Bats need to wake up.
Yesterday we got just 5 hits and scored 1 run against 6 bullpen pitchers of a sub .500 team. It is just one loss, but when you are as good as the Yankees are these kind of losses should be unacceptable.
Ben Rosen/Israel...I agree, you lose a game like last nights to a Houston, sux, Indians, etc you live with it. Should never lose to a bullpen pitched game.
Final, nightmare on Elm Street, Yankees don't score a run and lose 4-0 to the hapless Rays.
German starts tomorrow to try to prevent the Yankees from getting swept.
When teams, players, fans, start taking games for granted and expect to win they (we) are all in big trouble. Every player on every team is out to take down the Yankees every game. If the Yankees do not come to play and go only go through the motions they will get what they got these past two games. Humiliation. Defeat. Wake you games, producing when it counts wins, not just home runs.
johnsondc, I am an oldtimer who remembers the great Yankee teams of the fifties. Power from a few players in the heart of the order led by one of the greatest players in the history of baseball, Mickey Mantle. Then surrounded by other players who produced hits when it counted, moved runners when it counted, bunted when it mattered, hit the sacrifice fly when it mattered, and all struck out far less than any of today's free swingers.
Just chew on this fact about today strike out leaders, the Yankees have played a little over 70 games so far and just Judge and Stanton alone have struck out enough times this season already that they both have struck out enough times to have each played 25 complete games and never hit the ball. As Mel Allen used to say "how about that".
Baseball is changing, and I hate to say it, but not for the better. The commissioner is an idiot and far too many fans are idiots. Most of this led by sabermetrics, the tool of the idiots.
Sunday 6/24 1:10pm
Domingo German (R)
@ Rays - Matt Andriese (R)
1. Brett Gardner (L) LF
2. Aaron Judge (R) RF
3. Didi Gregorius (L) SS
4. Giancarlo Stanton (R) DH
5. Gary Sanchez (R) C
6. Aaron Hicks (S) CF
7. Miguel Andujar (R) 3B
8. Neil Walker (S) 1B
9. Gleyber Torres (R) 2B
Bird sitting against a right handed pitcher. Have to win to avoid a sweep.
Final, a horrendous 7-6 12 inning loss. Yes, Chasen Shreve did it again. He threw just one pitch and lost the game. The Yankees got swept in Tampa. Wake up guys.
Headed to Philadelphia with a three game set with the Phillies. Hope we have a better showing there.
Can't blame everything on Shreve. German had nothing today and gave up six runs putting the Yanks in a big hole.
Some of you or maybe many of you will think this is evil of me, but Mr. Interstate, Gary Sanchez may be going on the DL for a while with a groin/hip injury. He is staying in Tampa to get an MRI as the team heads to Philly for a three game series.
Loaisiga, Louie Louie, and Cessa listed to start the Philly series.
Yankeeforever, you are not being evil. Sanchez has helped this team win games and he has helped lose games. Every player on the team has done the same thru out this season. Sanchez just seems much like an afraud player. Me first. It seems to me their have been many situations where he could have done much more to help the team by just grounding a ball thru the right side of the infield instead of trying to hit home runs and be the big man every time up. When you are hitting below the Mendoza line you are failing at an alarming high rate. Considering how many men the Yankees put on base in front of him, that costs the team many tuns and many games.
Hopefully playing a AAAA team and with inferior national league rules will let us get back on track and win a series. Losses do not help us, ever.
Monday 6/25 7:05pm
Jonathan Loaisiga (R)
@ Phillies - Vince Velasquez (R)
1. Brett Gardner (L) CF
2. Aaron Judge (R) RF
3. Didi Gregorius (L) SS
4. Giancarlo Stanton (R) LF
5. Miguel Andujar (R) 3B
6. Greg Bird (L) 1B
7. Gleyber Torres (R) 2B
8. Austin Romine (R) C
9. Jonathan Loaisiga (R) P
Got a catcher who can hit in tonight. Lets get back to winning and wins.
Yanks up 1-0 after 2.
2-0 Yankees after 6.
Loaisiga goes 5 1/3. 0 runs 1 hit. Leaves leading 2-0.
Louie Louie starts tonight to try to take the Phillie series.
Stanton 2 RBI butcher boy single was a ground ball that was bounced hard into the ground in front of home plate and bounced over the infielders out to the outfield. Old time good baseball that wins games. The Stanton hit is the definition of a Baltimore chop.
Lets go Yankees.
sid, also Torres reaching out with 2 strikes on him and blooping an opposite field rbi hit to right field. 3 of the 4 runs were the best of baseball.
Tuesday 6/26 7:05pm
Luis Severino (R)
@ Phillies - Jake Arrieta (R)
1. Aaron Hicks (S) CF
2. Aaron Judge (R) RF
3. Didi Gregorius (L) SS
4. Giancarlo Stanton (R) LF
5. Gleyber Torres (R) 2B
6. Greg Bird (L) 1B
7. Miguel Andujar (R) 3B
8. Austin Romine (R) C
9. Luis Severino (R) P
Lets go guys, only wins take you to the playoffs. Play WIN METHOD baseball.
4-0 Yankees thru 3.
Looks like an easy game for a change. 6-0 Yanks thru six.
Final 6-0 Yankee win.
Cessa starts tomorrow and we have a chance for a series sweep.
This would be a big win for us, hope Cessa and/or the bats carry us.
Hope Cessa comes up big.
Sanchez looks to be out about a month. No problem, we have Romine.
Romine is having a far better season than Sanchez and by no means is Romine any kind of downgrade.
Wednesday 6/27 7:05pm
Luis Cessa (R)
@ Phillies - Zach Eflin (R)
1. Brett Gardner (L) LF
2. Giancarlo Stanton (R) RF
3. Aaron Hicks (S) CF
4. Didi Gregorius (L) SS
5. Gleyber Torres (R) 2B
6. Miguel Andujar (R) 3B
7. Neil Walker (S) 1B
8. Kyle Higashioka (R) C
9. Luis Cessa (R) P
Judge and Bird both out. Higashioka up from Scranton to catch.
Come on guys. Get the series sweep and make up for the Tampa fiasco.
Cessa has nothing, never has. Yanks trail 3-0 after 2.
Yankees down 3-0 after 6.
Final, Yanks lose 3-0 going down sheepishly.
Off day today before a three game home bosux series.
The Yankees have not been playing good baseball this past week.
As well as the team is doing, I just have a feeling something is just not quite right. I don't know if it is a player or two, or with the manager.
Walt Belamy, And we may never know one way or the other. Winning tends to quell issues. One thing I feel is I just don't know what to make of Boone.
Walt/Donald...I think Boone may be and or have fallen prey to meaningless stats. The overall hitting by the team, except for the home run power, has been abysmal.
The manager sets the tone for the team. If he doesn't make sure a batter bunts down the third base line every time the defense puts three men on the right side of the infield, that is on him. When the manager accepts batters swinging for the seats, that is on him. When the manager accepts batters striking out swinging wildly at pitches instead of just meeting the ball and scoring runners from third base with less than two outs, that is on him.
Three this weekend with the sux and they have their rotation ready to roll. We need to hit, score, and win.
CC, Gray, and Louie Louie for the Yankees.
Another sux series tonight. Each game has double the value. It is still early but only a sweep by either team means a significant change.
CC tonight in game one. Lets go CC, come up big.
I still say this Yankee team needs to produce much more when the opportunities present themselves.
Winning game one of any series is big. Lets go guys, play and produce.
Considering the talent and power on this team, the Yankees don't seem to dominate and win many games very easily.
Friday 6/29 7:05pm
CC Sabathia (L)
vs. Red Sox - Eduardo Rodriguez (L)
1. Aaron Hicks (S) CF
2. Aaron Judge (R) RF
3. Giancarlo Stanton (R) DH
4. Didi Gregorius (L) SS
5. Gleyber Torres (R) 2B
6. Miguel Andujar (R) 3B
7. Greg Bird (L) 1B
8. Austin Romine (R) C
9. Brett Gardner (L) LF
The old guard batting eight and nine.
Another new lineup. Just need t produce when it counts no matter what the lineup is.
Yankees take a 1-0 lead after two on Torres triple.
Yanks up 5-0 after 4.
CC goes 7 and leaves with Yanks coming to bat leading 5-1 mid 7th.
We are getting what posters here asked for. A great game from CC and some big hits by the Yankees.
Final, a series opener 8-1 win for the Yankees.
Torres and Andujar got the Yankees going early, then the tack on runs created an easy win for a change.
CC set the tone, stepped up, and was brilliant going seven innings to earn the win.
Sonny Gray tomorrow night. I hope we don't get Grayskies.
Here's a tip for tomorrow against Sale. Guys, when Sale pitches to the outside corner against you right handed batters, JUST MEET THE BALL AND HIT IT TO RIGHT FIELD.
Yeah! Just do what WIN METHOD said.
It is always nice to win. We need Gray to be able to do what CC did.
Hello WIN METHOD, more good advice. Love ya,
I read almost everywhere that the stat frauds want the Yankees to get a starting pitcher and have named many names. They don't learn that starting pitchers are a dime a dozen and there is a great chance that none of the many names they throw around will no be a help nor an upgrade to what the Yankees now have in house.
Here is something to think about WIN METHOD fans. Some here have knocked Chasen Shreve for his performance this season. With good reason because he has failed several times to many. But, look at it this way, he is very likely the best or very close to the best 12th or 13th pitcher of all teams in baseball. Compare apples to apples. Just as you would compare the last position player of a team, you must compare him to the last position player of the other teams.
johnsondc, basic common sense. The problem is stat frauds don't have common sense.
Likely to see Drury in the lineup tonight at 1B.
Gray needs to step up big time. It is the time to produce for him. He shows a flash here and there but no consistency.
Saturday 6/30 7:15pm
Sonny Gray (R)
vs. Red Sox - Chris Sale (L)
1. Aaron Hicks (S) CF
2. Aaron Judge (R) RF
3. Giancarlo Stanton (R) DH
4. Gleyber Torres (R) 2B
5. Didi Gregorius (L) SS
6. Miguel Andujar (R) 3B
7. Brandon Drury (R) 1B
8. Austin Romine (R) C
9. Brett Gardner (L) LF
Drury is in at 1B. Didi splits Torres and Andujar.
If the guys do what WIN METHOD said, it could be a fun night. It is easier to hit HRs to right. If the guys try to pull everything they could be in for a long hard night.
Our bullpen is ready to roll if needed. Would be great to get goose eggs from Gray and four or five runs from the bats. Lets go Yankees.
Show some class Gray, you are wearing Yankee pinstripes now.
Grayskies, oh grayskies are back again. Gives up grand slam and is pitching like garbage which he does far too many times. 36 pitches in the first inning to throw dirt on his team.
Gray is a natural disaster. Even when he gets an out it tends to be a hard hit ball. In a word and trying to be kind, he seems to be 'gutless'.
I was a Gray denier from the beginning. He is getting hammered in the second inning again. I would make him pitch the whole nine innings. Likely 200 pitches and could easily be 20-30 runs. Then I'd chuck him. Yanks down 6-0 after 2.
Yanks down 6-0 after 2.
Warren has come in to shut the door and save Gray from a few more runs. Yankees down 6-0 after five all on Gray.
Yankees on the wrong side of a laugher tonight trailing 9-0 after seven innings.
The sux have embarrassed the Yankees tonight with countless hits to the opposite field just laying the barrel of the bat on the ball with easy swings. Not swinging for the seats. sux lead 11-0 with Yanks coming to bat in 9th.
The Yankees batters did not follow WIN METHODS advice and made fools of themselves swinging like madmen garnering just two singles, one with two outs in the ninth inning, and go down 11-0. Out hit tonight 17 to 2.
First two game we split routs, tonight determines the series winner.
Louie Louie starts tonight as we counter with our ace.
The sux are throwing another left hander tonight. If the Yankees do what they did last night we lose. If the Yankees realize WIN METHOD knows more about baseball than everyone in the organization put together, and listen to WIN METHOD, they will win.
If Louie Louie dominates we will do well and win tonight.
Need it be said again, we play yet again in the despised espn Sunday night game.
What are the Yankees going to do with Grayskies. He is certainly not a big game pitcher.
Sunday 7/1 8:05pm
Luis Severino (R)
vs. Red Sox - David Price (L)
1. Aaron Hicks (S) CF
2. Aaron Judge (R) RF
3. Giancarlo Stanton (R) DH
4. Didi Gregorius (L) SS
5. Gleyber Torres (R) 2B
6. Miguel Andujar (R) 3B
7. Greg Bird (L) 1B
8. Kyle Higashioka (R) C
9. Brett Gardner (L) LF
Romine out with injury. Bird at 1B against a left hander. We need to win guys.
1-10 5-5
11-20 6-4 = 11-9
21-30 9-1 = 20-10
31-40 8-2 = 28-12
41-50 5-5 = 33-17
51-60 9-1 = 42-18
61-70 6-4 = 48-22
71-80 5-5 = 53-27
Another march in place go nowhere ten game set. But half a season played and no losing sets. We could use another 7-3 or better.
With Higashioka at catcher tonight, who is the backup?
Robert Mandel, it may be Drury.
Lets go Louie Louie, lets go Yankees.
Do I see the Yankee lineup staying inside the baseball and driving the ball to right field tonight. WIN METHOD rules. Yankees pounding Price, lead 6-0 after 2.
Yanks up 6-0 after 2.
Price gets pounded and lasts just 3 1/3 innings and is taken out after given up his 5th home run in the game. One by our AAA catcher Higashioka. Yanks up 8-0 still batting in 4th.
Yanks up 9-0 after 4.
Three game series and all three games laughers. At least we will win two of the three.
We take the sux series. Good job. Now don't let down for the three game series with the Braves starting tomorrow.
Final, Yankees win 11-1 and take 2 of 3 games to win the series.
Six home runs tonight. Too many wasted runs.
The Yankees host the Atlanta Brave for a three game series starting tonight at Yankee Stadium. The listed Yankee starters are Loaisiga, German, and Sabathia.
Let's keep winning series. Take game one.
I was listening to afraud on espn last night. He disgusts me.
Do it again Loaisiga. Another win. Yes, I am a Yankee fan living in Atlanta.
Monday 7/2 7:05pm
Jonathan Loaisiga (R)
vs. Braves - Anibal Sanchez (R)
1. Brett Gardner (L) LF
2. Aaron Judge (R) RF
3. Didi Gregorius (L) SS
4. Giancarlo Stanton (R) DH
5. Aaron Hicks (S) CF
6. Miguel Andujar (R) 3B
7. Greg Bird (L) 1B
8. Kyle Higashioka (R) C
9. Gleyber Torres (R) 2B
Left/right going on in tonight's lineup.
Lets keep hitting guys. Go Yankees.
International draft time opens and I would bet dollars to doughnuts WIN METHOD has a gem or two up his sleeve for the Yankees.
Score early, put up a crooked number or two and win game one tonight. Lets go Yankees.
We need a solid ten game set as we head to the all star game break.
Lets go Yankees, yes you can, yes you will.
Been quite awhile since we had a stat fraud here. Peaceful as we march towards the playoffs.
Tony Manchu, it wasn't a crooked number, but the Yankees score first and early on a Judge first inning home run and lead 1-0 after the first inning.
Yanks up 1-0 after 2.
Yanks down 3-2 after 4.
All even at 3 after 7.
3-3 as Yanks come to bat in 9th for a chance at a walk off win.
Extra innings. 3-3 after nine.
Yankees leave bases loaded in 10th with one out. 0 for 11 with runners in scoring position tonight. Not good.
We should all be asleep already, dreadful production when he mattered most.
Robertson gives up two run home run in eleventh on ball that could have been caught but Judge did not get back to the wall and ball went into stands off his glove.
Yanks go down in 11th and blow a game that should have been won. Another flat lackluster effort.
Final 5-3 eleven inning loss.
I believe that there is something missing from this team. Be it leadership, killer instinct, drive to be the best, or something else, or a combination.
All the meaningless individual stats in the world don't mean a darn thing when your team goes 0-12 in meaningful situations as the Yankees did last night. The Braves were 2-7 and won the game which is the only meaningful stat that matters.
Have a great Independence Day fans.
Hope German bounces back from his last start.
Tuesday 7/3 7:05pm
Domingo German (R)
vs. Braves - Sean Newcomb (L)

No Torres???
Guy Padikian, maybe just a day off for Torres. Hopefully nothing more than that.
If the guys don't produce when it matters most it won't make any difference who is in the lineup.
I don't think there is any loss worse than a game when not one hitter produces when it counts, particularly when there have been a large number of multiple opportunities where just one hit would have won the game.
johnsondc, when you look at last nights game I think it was an ideal and irrefutable determination on the failure of stats in determining the best players and teams, be it for a game, a week, or a season.
Yanks up 3-0 after 2.
Yanks up 6-0 after 4.
It ain't over yet. Braves score 3 in 5th. Yanks lead cut in half and lead 6-3 after 5.
Yankees lead 6-3 after 5 and it has taken 2 hours and 20 minutes to play 5 innings.
Yanks lead 6-5 after 7 and staggering.
Happy July 4th America.
After going 0-12 when it mattered last night, the Yankees went 1-11 tonight and the hit did not score a run and only moved a runner. The Yankees have scored 8 runs tonight and have not scored any via a base hit.
