After another season of making the playoffs, the YANKEES were eliminated in the playoffs. Once again, during this hot stove winter session, the YANKEES, will try to build a team that can take the team into the World Series for the 2026 season. In reality, it all comes down to Hal Steinbrenner. Hal is not his father, does not have a passion for baseball, his only goal is making money. Yes, the YANKEES make him money, but as long as the YANKEES make him money, he does not feel he has to spend more money to make the team better. In Aaron Judge, the YANKEES have the star power to keep the fans coming to the ball park. With Max Fried, Gerrit Cole, the exciting rise of Cam Schlittler and Ben Rice, the fans will come, support and root for the team. As things now stand, the YANKEES will have a competitive and playoff team for 2026, but will they have enough to make the World Series? I will push the WIN METHOD for another year, explain to him who and why. The execution of the plan is on him. The problem, as I see it, is he has other advisors he listens to, with them telling him what he wants to hear, "the YANKEES can be competitive, and make the playoffs without spending more money."
There are so many routes to take to make the team better in my opinion, it likely will cost more money to invest, but the return could very well be worth the extra investment. There are several planned routes available, with each one acquiring different acquisitions and moving present personnel. Any plan will take a full commitment from Hal. Last point on Hal, and I will say it again, he is not Mr.S.
As you can see, WIN METHOD fans, you are taking this site, the world's number one baseball, blog, forum, site to the three billion view mark, likely in December. You are the smartest, most intelligent and knowledgeable baseball fans there are. The stat frauds don't like the WIN METHOD, because the WIN METHOD makes the stat frauds look stupid. Teams and players are not successful because of individual stats, teams and players are successful because of players producing when it counts and matters most to help their team win. Example: The LA Dodgers do not win the WS this season if not for Miguel Rojas, and his home run in the ninth inning with two outs of the seventh game of the WS this season. If he had made out, the game would have been over and the Blue Jays would have won the WS. Miguel Rojas produced when it mattered most at the highest level there is. The stat frauds explain it as luck, a one-off, an anomaly. Stat frauds will forget and ignore Miguel Rojas, the WIN METHOD will remember him forever.

Yankees lose 2-1 as Blackburn gives up three singles for the Yankees first loss of season. It was also the first run of the season to be given up by the bullpen and Blackburn did it all by himself. Major failure when it mattered most.
Final. Yankees lose 2-1. Blackburn takes the loss, giving up 3 ninth inning hits for the Mariner walk-off win. Tough less. Weathers struggled a bit at the start, would up going 4 1/3 innings allowing 1 run for a no decision. He got better as the game progressed. Bullpen was perfect again until Blackburn got his chance and failed miserably.
A one run loss is the worst loss. There are always some if's, and's, or but's.
The Yankees will atone for their first loss of the season tonight. Watch out below.

Final. Yankees win 5-3. Schlittler goes 6 1/3 scoreless innings to earn the win, but the bullpen turns an easy win into a nail biter win allowing 3 runs in the last two innings. Ben Rice with a rbi double and a solo HR, and Paul Goldschmidt with a 3 run HR for all the Yankee runs. Yanks finish western road trip with 5 wins and 1 loss. Head home for opening day game at the Stadium Friday afternoon.
The five and one Yankees back home from west coast trip. Will have a glad to be back workout today at the cathedral of baseball, Yankee Stadium, and then open the home ballpark with its first game Friday afternoon. Lets go Yankees.

Yankees dome form 4-0 down, take lead, 6-4, Marlins tie it 6-6, finally Yanks win it 9-7. Weathers and Blackburn falter again, but bats produced enough for the win.
How about Stanton effort tonight. Walks, steals 2nd, moves to 3rd on infield ground out, and scores on wild pitch.
Final. Yankees win 9-7. Many guys failed when it mattered an many guys produced when it mattered for the win. Pitching had a bad game and gave up most runs in a game this year. Lineup won the game and that is what matters most. Yankees won series tonight and play for sweep tomorrow with Fried starting.

Rice like ICE is nice, hits 3 run HR in first for 3-1 Yankee lead. Fried gave up first run of season in top of first.

4-2 Yanks thru five innings, but have failed to produce when it matters most too many times. Could easily be 6, 7, or 8-2.
Final. Yankees lose 7-6. A bad loss, with so much failure to produce when it mattered most by the Yankees. The final score doesn't do the failures justice. Fried was off today, but threw over 100 pitches through 6 2/3 innings and left leading 4-3. Could easily have been several runs more lead, but the double digit failures were deadly and cost the game. Bullpen was pathetic, blowing and losing the game. It does happen, but hopefully not to often as the season progresses.
Would've, could've, should've, I hate losing games like today. Score six runs and lose because of double digit failures when it mattered most and the game would, could, and should've been a blowout.
Next up for Yankees, are the Oakland A's for a three game series Tue and Wed nights and Thurs afternoon game. Schlittler, Warren, and Weathers scheduled starters.

Final. Yankees lose 1-0. Weathers pitches his best game, going eight innings, allowing 1 run and takes the loss. Yanks got 1 hit, lost first series of season, and get embarrassed.
Yankees lose another. Get just one hit losing 1-0. Two straight pathetic games from the lineup culminating in two, one run losses.

Forget the past. New series start tomorrow, with divisional rival Tampa. Pitching, Gil on Friday, Fried on Saturday, and Schlittler on Sunday. This needs to be a series win.

Yanks score 2 in top of first, then Gil gives them right back in bottom of first. 2-2. Gil looked pretty bad throwing more than 30 pitches.

Final. Yankees lose 5-3. Third consecutive loss. Gil goes 4 bad innings giving up 3 runs with 80+ pitches and takes the loss. After 2 runs on hits in first inning Yankee lineup played dead for the rest of the game. Rice did pinch hit a HR for Yanks 3rd run. Bullpen gave up the other 2 runs. After a great open to the season, the worm has quickly turned. Fried and Schlittler pitch the next two games and the Yankees need to win both of them. Lineup needs to wake the heck up.

Yankees lose it 5-4 as Bednar can't stop the Rays. Fourth loss in a row for Yankees.
Final. Yankees lose 5-4 in ten innings. Everyone can take some blame for tonight's loss. Fried, the offense in general, failing multiple times early in the game when it mattered most. Throw in a little bad luck and voila, another loss.
Fried failed to be the stopper, Schlittler's turn tomorrow. I can't wait for Rodon and Cole to return. If all goes well, think about this, Cole - Fried - Schlittler - Rodon - Warren.
Two lost series in a row, and playing tomorrow to not get swept in this series.

Optimism WIN METHOD fans, optimism. The Yankees have been in every game they have played, with double digits of our players on the DL and in AAA right now. The best is coming and the Yankees will prevail.
Cory McIlroy has just won his second Masters Golf Championship winning in consecutive years. He is just the fourth man in history to do so. The others in order are Jack Nicklaus 1965-66, Nick Faldo 1989-90, and Tiger Wood 2001-02. Wins and winning determines who is best. No other stat matters, not even in golf.
15 games into the season, 5 straight losses, and still tied for the division lead. So far so good.

Off to a good start. Goldschmidt double followed by Judge HR.
After being given a 4-0 lead after three innings, Warren implodes in the fourth and gives them all back. 4-4 with Yanks coming to bat in fourth.
4-4 after 4.
Grisham with a 3 run home in 5th puts Yanks on top again 7-4.
Bird gives up 3 run HR in 6th, 7-7. This is torture.
Judge leadoff HR in 6th, his 2nd of game for a 8-7 lead.
Yankees trail 10-8 after 8. Pitching blew up big time tonight. One more chance.
Yanks with a 3 run 9th inning rally for an 11-10 win. Chisholm single, Grisham HR, Cabalerros double, Wells walk, Cabalerros steals third, McMahon walks on a wild pitch and Cabalerros scores for the win. One heck of a wild game, almost like a little league game at the major league level.
Final. The Yankees win 11-10 with 3 9th inning runs for the run off win scored without a batted ball on a walk on a wild pitch. Blackburn got the win by being the right pitcher at the right time. Read the box score for more. Too tired to write any more.
One heck of a wild game last night, at least we came out of it on top. Pitching from both teams was atrocious.
Warren wasn't the stopper last night, blowing a 4 run lead. The Yankee lineup won the game. That make's Weathers the next man up to be the stopper tonight.

Amazing, Cabalerro's 2 rbi single for a walk off win 5-4.
Final. Yankees win 5-4 walk off style. Offense, Judge solo HR, Grisham 2 rbi single, for early 3-0 lead. Gil showed little to nothing again, giving up 4 runs in 4 innings. Yankee bullpen goes final five scoreless innings to give Yanks a chance. Finally, in 9th, Cabalerro's delivers a 2 rbi single for the walk-off win. Bednar earns the win pitching a 1,2,3 top of 9th.
I love baseball. No clocks, 27 outs over nine innings, with 3 outs per inning. Two walk off wins over the past three games while scoring less runs over the three games than your opponent.
Fried start this series final game tomorrow afternoon. A win takes the series 3 games to 1. Time to get moving upward again.

Hope we get a dominant effort from Fried today and the lineup produces when it matters most more often for a comfortable win.

We got it all today, in one game. A stopper start from Warren, not giving up a run until the Yankees were in front 10-0. The bats come wide awake. Numerous producing when it mattered most at bats. Yankees leading 12-2 batting in eighth.
Yankees in a romp in the park today with 13-4 win. Lineup produced today except Stanton 0-5, Chisholm 0-4, and Judge 0-2 with 2 walks. Warren with a great seven inning start for the win.
Final. Yankees win 13-4. Warren a dominant and strong seven innings for the easy win. Solid production when it mattered most from most of the lineup. Would be nice to bank some of those runs. Yankee win first two games of series and play for a sweep tomorrow.
