WIN METHOD - YANKEE BASEBALL HOT STOVE 2024 - 2025
The 2024 season has concluded, not in the way YANKEE fans were looking for. Playing the 162-game regular season and making the playoffs was really good. Winning two playoff series against two of the best teams in baseball and earning the right to be one of only two teams in the World Series was great. Losing the World Series, even maybe the way the YANKEES lost the World Series was a big letdown, and a sad way to end the 2024 season. Bad things can happen at bad times, and vice versa, it is part of baseball.
The 2024 season is now part of the past. We are now between seasons, and the hot stove is lit, as the stove is warming up. There are some big names in free agency who teams will be wooing and bidding on. None bigger than Juan Soto.
The YANKEES will do everything they can to keep Soto in pinstripes and teamed with Aaron Judge, keeping intact the most formidable one-two offensive punch in baseball. The YANKEES will also be in the market, either through free agency, trade, or from their minor league system a first baseman, second baseman, third baseman, starting pitcher, high pressure relief pitcher, and an outfielder.
From the horse's mouth, the YANKEES will be all in on reaching and winning the World Series in 2025. It's up to the YANKEE brass to put the pieces in place to make it happen, and then for the pieces to make happen on the field. Watch for a couple of internal options this season. WIN METHOD baseball will be the battle cry. Hal Steinbrenner and company will do their best; however, it always takes two parties to make a deal happen.
For you, the fans of the WIN METHOD blog and concept, this blog will hit the two billion view mark over the next two weeks. That is simply amazing. Fans read and post on this blog from all over the world, you all have made the WIN METHOD blog the number one YANKEE baseball blog in existence, bar none. Thank you for being here and all your comments. Isn't it great to have no advertisements, no sign up nonsense, no popups, and no ignorant moderators telling you what you can and can't say.
Thank you all again, for being an integral part of this blog. LETS GO YANKEES.

«Oldest ‹Older 801 – 999 of 999Yanks hold 4-1 after six innings. Game shouldn't be this close. Rodon with another solid game.
Yanks win 5-1. Off day tomorrow.
Final. Yankees win 5-1. Rodon earns the win going 7 innings 1 run 4 hits and in total control. Cruz 8th inning 2 K's. Weaver 9th inning 1 hit and three hard hit fly ball outs, one to RF and two to CF. Judge rbi triple, Goldschmidt rbi single both in first inning. Second inning Rice rbi single, Goldschmidt rbi single. Wells rbi double in seventh inning.
Yanks win 5-1 should have been 10-1.
Seriously, I think Volpe may need to talk to a sports psychiatrist and/or work with a capable competent hitting professional. He is so screwed up right now. Wild swings, poor pitch recognition, swinging from the heels, and nothing is going right. Today was a four strikeout no contact game. I am seeing this as a fan of the team I love. He needs help.
Volpe is not right. How about just trying to put the bat on the ball. How about swinging only at pitches in the strike zone. How about not swinging from the heels.
Yankees at home this weekend for a three game homestand, yes just three games. More of Manfred's incompetence and crapola. Anyways, the Yanks will play Toronto, with the Yankee starters being Carrasco, Fried, and Schmidt.
How sweet would it be to win this series with our #2 ace, our #4/5 starter and temporary #6/7 starter pitching this weekend.
Off day is over. Back to baseball tonight with a three game series against the Blue Jays. Lets go Yankees.

Grisham back. How about the Yankee bats exploding.
Same old formula to win a baseball game. A well pitched game to give the lineup a chance. The lineup to produce when it matters most to win the game.
0-0 after 3.
Scoreless thru five. No one on has produced when it mattered most except Carrasco who has not allowed a run to score thru five strong innings.
Cabrera rbi single to tie game at one in seventh. Yes, when it mattered most.
Wells sacfly for 2-1 lead in 8th. 2-1 Yankees after 8.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, Williams coming in for the save.
Williams faces three batters, gets no one out, all three score, 4-2 Toronto. Yankees last chance in 9th. Come to bat demoralized and go down meakedly 1,2,3. Another game given away by Williams. His next appearance should be in a blow out game. But Boone does not have the guts to do that.
Doesn't look like Williams is WIN METHOD. He has nothing that hitters need to fear.
A vote for any person running under the democrat logo is a vote for Despair, Depravity, and Death. Your choice voters.
Todays Yankee game has been called off due to inclement weather. Double header tomorrow. Wheeeeeeeeee!
Game rained out today, two games tomorrow.
Loaisiga pitched one inning for class 'A' Tampa Tarpons today in a rehab assignment. Threw 10 pitches, 8 were strikes, ground out to 3b, strike out, popup to ss, in recording a 3 up 3 down inning.

Game two final. Yankees win 5-1 sweeping double header and taking series 2 game to 1. Schmidt went 5 innings allowing 1 run and left game with a no decision. Hill 1 inning allowed 1 run and earned the win. Leiter 1 scoreless inning for the hold, followed by Cruz 1 scoreless inning for the hold, and Weaver with a 1,2,3 final inning for the closeout. Grisham, Judge, and Escarra each a solo HR plus Escarra an rbi single and Dominguez rbi double.
Good day for Yanks. Take two games 11-2 and 5-1 over Blue Jays.

Peraza in for Cabrera. If Warren repeats last start and Yankee bats keep producing when it matters most, a win should be the outcome.
Yankees trailing 1-0 after 2nd inning and Warren has been struggling.
Yanks lose game one of series to Baltimore 4-3. Warren takes the loss and struggled. Yanks bat failed several times in the first six innings. Left bags full in the first inning.
Final. Yankees lose 4-3. Tough loss, a game they could have, should have won. Warren gave up all the runs in first three innings. Bullpen shutout ball for five innings. Yanks scored 1 in 7th and 2 in 8th to fall short. Left far too many men on base and failed far too many times early in game.
Starter last night put Yankees in hole. Bullpen stopped the bleeding completely. Lineup failed repeatedly early in game, came to life with too little too late. Result 4-3 loss. Ugh!

Need a better result than what we got last night.
Yankee first inning tonight. -- Grisham solo HR, Judge solo HR, Rice solo HR, Goldschmidt ground out, Bellinger solo HR, Chisholm triple, Volpe rbi double, Wells ground out, Cabrera single, Grisham lineout to center. 5 runs 7 hits. Chisholm out of game after triple-Peraza pinch runs for him. Hope it's minor.
Only 1 run in second inning. Another solo HR by Rice.
Yanks up 6-0 after 2.
12-0 Yankees thru fifth inning. Back off guys, tomorrow is the rubber game.
After five perfect innings Rodon, cracks, walks a .000 hitter to start the 6th inning, then a double, ground out rbi, infield popup, strikeout. Perfect inning, not for individual stats, but for the team. Perfect game ended, no-hitter ended, shutout ended. 12-1 after six. Hope he doesn't come out for the seventh. Has thrown 87 pitches.
Boone allows Rodon to come out for seventh inning. First hitter, HR. Rodon then taken out. Use common sense and think, sending Rodon out and then taking him out after one batter is utter stupidity. The run means nothing, sending him out means nothing. The choice made was stupidity.
When the WIN METHOD talks of a meaningless hit or rbi, you had that happen big team tonight. After Wells went 0-5 over eight innings and building a 14-2 lead, Wells came to bat in the 9th inning with 2 outs and hit a solo HR to make the score 15-2. Great for him and his personal stats, HR, rbi, who doesn't like that. Only, it came with no pressure, the game was in the bank after just a few innings. That is what is meant by a meaningless HR and rbi to the N'th degree.
Final. Yankees win 15-3. Even series with rubber game tomorrow. Yanks hit 6 HR's, all solo blasts. Rodon was perfect thru five innings. Gave up a run, a hit, and that ended any worry how far he would go before losing the perfect game and or no-hitter.
Lets see how long Chisholm may be out. He says it's minor. Likely won't play today, off day tomorrow and he is getting an MRI. Results to come as to duration.
Todays Yankee lineup.

It is what it is and that's what it will be.
Two innings complete. Carrasco throwing batting practice. 6 outs, 7 hits, 4 runs. Yankees trail 4-2.
Carrasco gives up 4 runs and gets the loss 5-4. Yankee bats again failed repeatedly when it mattered the most. Bullpen gave them a chance, offense didn't do it.
Yankees lose 5-4. Lose series 2 game to 1. Both losses were almost identical. In both game the Yankee starter gave up 4 early runs, the bullpen was superb in keeping the Yankees in each game. The offense had their chances in both games but did not produce when they had their chances and lost both games by one run. But in the middle game that the Yankees won they score 15 runs. That is the opposite of WIN METHOD.
Off day today, tomorrow Yanks host three game weekend series with Tampa and on Monday a three game series with San Diego.
Fried, Schmidt, Warren, listed for the Tampa series.
Political Update: Everyone knows, if you do not know you have a problem, that the democrat party does not exist any longer. The old democrat party has been taken over by the communists, liberals, and progressives, best known has the scum of America. They are the 'demoncrats'. also best know as the scum of America. They still call themselves democrats, but they are not democrats, they are the scum of America.
If you support and/or vote for any politician or organization that runs under the name democrat, you are supporting the scum of America. They will lie to you, they will denigrate and demean the great people of America, they will support terrorists, illegal criminal aliens, and in general all criminals and people who hate America. They will do this while they lie to you, me, and the good people of America. They want your vote, and they can't get your vote unless they lie to you, deceive you, scare you, intimidate you, and make a fool of you. NEVER EVER VOTE FOR A DEMOCRAT EVER AGAIN.
The people who hate America will vote for the democrat ticket. Very sad.

The right move, Vivas in at second base. May the force be with you kid. Blow them away, light a fire.
The youngsters in America were taught to hate in schools by far too many overpaid liberal progressive teachers who warped the minds of the kids they were teaching. They are part of the demonrat party.
If you had to name the 100 most ignorant, criminally corrupt, contemptable, disgraceful, disgusting, lying, hating, degenerate, dumb, bottom feeders, scum, useless, thieves, terrorist loving, blasphemous, stupid politicians in America right now, all one hundred would be DEMONRATS. Bury them all.
0-0 after 2.
Goldschmidt 3 run home run in fifth score first runs of game. 3-0 Yanks.
Yanks 3-0 after 6.
Final. Yankees win 3-0. Yankee runs all on Goldschmidt 3 run home run. Many other failures with runners in scoring position all game. Fried, brilliant again, seven innings one hit. Williams a 1,2,3 8th for the hold. Weaver a 1,2,3 9th for the save.
Yankees win 3-0. Fried was spectacular again. Went seven dominant innings allowing just one single. Williams and Weaver pitched last two innings flawlessly.
Don't want to get ahead of myself, the Yankees will go a long way this season, as Loaisiga comes back, and then Gil comes back.
But, think about this, R-L-R-L-R. In 2026, the Yankee starting rotation could be Cole - Fried - Gil - Rodon - Schmidt. the pen Loaisiga, Cruz, Hill, Hamilton, Warren, Williams, Weaver.
Even worse, demonrat politicians are in general rotten miserable human beings that a normal person would not want to associate with.

Four innings complete, 1-1 game. Yarbrough went four innings. Hamilton in for the fifth. Yankee run a Judge HR, nothing else. Bats need to wake up.
Yankees go down 3-2. Sad game, another could have should have loss.
Final. Yankees lose 3-2. Yankee lineup a dud today. Yankee runs on a Judge and Wells home runs. That was it. Leiter blows game with a horrid 1/3 inning. Gives up 2 runs, 2 hits, a walk and 3 stolen bases. Yarbrough started, went four innings allowing 1 run. Hamilton 1 shutout inning. Cruz two shutout innings. Leiter crash and burn inning for the loss, and let down to the team. It happens.

First, why the hell is Reyes in instead of Vivas? Second, Warren needs to man-up and pitch at least five innings of shutout ball. Third, Lineup needs to produce at least two 3+ run innings.
Rain delay and it's not raining.
Top of third and Warren has given up two runs already.
Warren is writing his own ticket back to AAA. Has given up 5 runs in four innings. Rays are having their way with him. Yanks down 5-0.
Yankees lose to the lowly Rays, game and series. Warren fails and takes the loss. Yankee bats quiet, then woke to make the score close, shut down 1,2,3 in ninth.
Final. Yankees lose 7-5. Another sloppy loss, sloppy defense, Starter, Warren fail putting team in 5-0 hole after four innings. Bats impotent until last couple of innings, but only potent enough to make score close. A loss is a loss and a loss is not good.
Next up three games with the Padres. Rodon, Schmidt, Fried.

2-2 after 6.
Yankees score 10 runs in seventh inning and take 12-3 lead. You never know.
Final. Yankees win 12-3. Schmidt worked hard, grinded out six innings allowing 2 runs and kept the Yankees in the game. Padres scored 1 run in 7th off of Hill, with Cruz coming in to prevent more runs from scoring. Yankee lineup responded with 10 runs in the 7th with everyone contributing with hits and walks for the win. Series even, rubber game tomorrow. Should be playing for a sweep.

Seven innings complete. 1-1. Solo HR for each team. Bullpen game now. Tough no decisions for both starters.
Hamilton gives up 2 runs in 8th, down 3-1.
Grisham 2 run HR ties game at 3 after 8 Innings.
Williams pitches a shutout 10th and earns the win when Escarra hits walk-off sacfly for 4-3 win. Theeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Yankeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees Winnnnnnnnnn!
Final. Yankees win 4-3 in ten innings. Fried was brilliant allowing just 1 run over 7 innings. Williams pitches a shutout 10th inning for the win. Yankees only had 3 hits. Hit one, Bellinger solo HR to tie game at 1 in 7th. Hit two Grisham 2 run HR after Cabrera walk to tie game at 3 in 8th. Hit three a Bellinger single in 9th for naught. Then in 10th, Cabrera sac bunt moves Dominguez the ghost runner to third base with one out. Escarra sacfly wins game 4-3. Yankees take the series with Padres.
A thrilling game from the first pitch to the last batted ball tonight. Playoff quality between two very good teams. Best outcome for Yankees in the 10th inning 4-3 win.
Off day tomorrow as Yanks head west.
Thought on taking two of three games from Padres. Padres came in with 'the best' bullpen in MLB. Hadn't lost a game when they were leading after the seventh inning all season, nineteen games in fact. So the Yankees came from behind in two of the three games to win the series two games to one. In the game the Yankees lost, the Yankee bullpen lost the game 4-3 after the Yankees led 3-0 after seven innings.

Yankee play Oakland A's three game weekend series, in a minor league ballpark this weekend. Warren tonight, Rodon tomorrow, to be announced on Sunday.
Should be no reason for an easy win tonight. Warren will be the key to how easy a win the game will be. Likely, Yanks will score 7++ runs tonight. If Warren can go five innings and only allow two runs, he will earn the win in a laugher.

Yanks up 2-0 after 2.
Breakout night alert >> Dominquez has 3 home runs and 7 rbis >> Warren goes 7 1/3 innings allowing 1 run and 4 hits for the win. 10-1 Yanks after 8.
Final. Yankees win 10-2. Warren has a great night. 7 1/3 innings allowing 1 run and earn the win. Dominguez the overwhelming standout player of the game offensively with 3 home runs and 7 rbi's.
Yankees take series opener 10-2. Warren with his best MLB start gets the win. Dominguez with a great offensive game, 3 home runs and 7 rbis.
Yanks win a 10-2 laugher. Warren for the win pitches his best game of his career giving up one and pitching into the eighth inning. Dominguez comes alive, three home runs, two solo and a grand slam plus a sacfly for eight rbi's. Sweet game.

You woke the Yankees up Billy. Sent 9 batters to the plate in the 5th, producing when it mattered most the entire inning capped by Wells 3 run homer for a 6 run inning and a 7-2 lead, bada bing bada boom.
Yankees lead 8-3 after seven. Schmidt goes six innings allowing 3 runs in good effort.
Cabrera hurt bad sliding into home with 11th run of the game. Leaving on a stretcher. Looks like left leg severely hurt???? being very careful moving him. Say a prayer. Not to be a jerk, but baseball is funny how things happen some times. Opens roster spot for LeMahieu.
First word on injury, looks like completely fractured ankle. Won't show replay because it is too gruesome. Done for season.
Final. Yankees win 11-5. Awful injury to our Oswaldo Cabrera. Pray for him, fans. Lower leg.
A win and a loss last night. Won the game, lost Cabrera. Get well Oswaldo, you will be back.
Judge said when he walked over to talk to Cabrera, Cabrera asked him "did I score". Judge said, "that was the first thing on his mind". WIN METHOD for sure.
Cabrera ankle has been fractured, as most fans realized. No prognosis at this time. Place on the DL. DJ LeMahieu has been reinstated to the active roster and will start in this series tonite, tomorrow, or both. It is what it is and the Yankees will play around another roadblock.

Final. Yankees win 3-2. Warren went five good innings allowing both Seattle runs. Hamilton earned the win in relief, followed by Cruz for a hold and Weaver for the save. Yankee came from behind 2-0 after five innings, one run at a time. Dominguez rbi double in sixth, Goldschmidt pinch hit HR in seventh, and Judge game winning HR in eighth. Yanks take series of road trip. and have off day tomorrow.
Theeeeeeeeeeeee Yankeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees Winnnnnnnnnnnn. 3-2.
Warren has been very impressive the last couple of games. When he harnesses all the stuff he has, he could be a prime starter. 💗
Next up, Yanks host Mets for three game series at the Stadium. Likely starters for Yanks are Rodon, Schmidt, and Fried.
I would love a sweep of the mutts.
Rodon opens weekend series tonight. Lets go Yankees.
DEMONRATS >> Communists, progressives, liberals, left wingers, radicals, racists, criminals, corruption, deceivers, liars, scum of the earth
If you vote for any of the above, you are a fool, and you are a big part of the problem.
Rodon and 'ace' start and the lineup with WIN METHOD 'when it counts most' production for the win tonight.
Todays Yankee Lineup
Carlos Rodon LHP
T Grisham (L) CF
A Judge (R) RF
C Bellinger (L) LF
P Goldschmidt (R) 1B
J Domínguez (S) DH
A Volpe (R) SS
A Wells (L) C
O Peraza (R) 3B
J Vivas (L) 2B
Let the fun begin. Lets go Yankees.
Pretty much standard lineup right now. Unfortunately no way to shoehorn Rice into it.
Yanks score first, four run third inning for a 4-0 lead.
Rodon struggling and grinding. Gets out of a bases loaded jam in fourth inning, and has thrown 78 pitches, allowing one run. 4-1 Yanks after four. Looks like one more inning for him at best.
Yankees lead 6-1 after five.
Welcome back Jonathan Loaisiga, out since April 2024. In for sixth inning.
Theeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Yankeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Winnnnnnnnnnnnn 6-2. Take first game of series with Mets. Rodon earns the win.
Final. Yankees win 6-2. Rodon five innings with 90+ pitches allowing 1 run for the win. Loaisiga 1 inning, Leiter 1 inning, and Williams 1 inning, all scoreless. De los Santo 2/3 giving up 1 run and creating a save situation for Weaver who gets Soto to popup to end game for the save. Yankees with a back to back 4 and 2 run innings with production without a bang, just solid at bats, singles and walks.
Schmidt starts this afternoon in second game of three game series. Let's go Yankees.
Todays Yankee Lineup
Clarke Schmidt RHP
B Rice (L) DH
A Judge (R) RF
C Bellinger (L) CF
P Goldschmidt (R) 1B
J Domínguez (S) LF
A Volpe (R) SS
J Escarra (L) C
D LeMahieu (R) 2B
J Vivas (L) 3B
Would be nice to win this series today. LETS GO YANKEES
Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee's baaaaaaaaaaaaaack, DJ Lemahieu with solo HR in third inning for 1-0 lead.
Yanks down 2-1 after 5.
Bellinger HR for 2-2 tie after six.
2-2 after 6.
Yanks lose a tough one, 3-2. Not one hit with men on base when it mattered most. Scored both runs on solo home runs.
Final. Yankees lose 3-2. Cruz takes the loss in 9th inning. Schmidt a strong six innings allowing 2 runs. Yankee runs on solo HRs from LeMahieu and Bellinger. Yankees had 6 opportunities to score when it mattered most but failed every time. Tough game to lose, but failing when it matters most will make for losses.
OK. series is even, rubber game tomorrow. We win tomorrow and move forward. Today is over, forget about it. Tomorrow is what counts now.
It happens to every player, but Judge was a dud today. Back in form tomorrow for the rubber game.
DJ looked good in the field and more so at the plate.
It's not, but I hope the Yankees play tonight's game as a must win game.
Lets go Yankees.
Todays Yankee Lineup
Max Fried LHP
P Goldschmidt (R) 1B
T Grisham (L) CF
A Judge (R) RF
C Bellinger (L) LF
A Volpe (R) SS
J Domínguez (S) DH
D LeMahieu (R) 2B
A Wells (L) C
O Peraza (R) 3B
All four AL East rivals lost this afternoon. Time to make hay. Lets go DJ. Lets go Yankees.
Yanks up 2-1 after 2.
2-2 after six innings. Both pitchers threw 100+ pitches. Both pitchers kept their team in the game. Both will get a no decision. Now a bullpen game.
Volpe with a massive fail in 7th inning. Bases loaded two outs 3-2 count, swings at 3 pitches that are all balls, 2 fouls and then the miss for the final out. Utter failure. Game still even 2-2.
Yankees produce in the 8th, Vivas ground ball run, Goldschmidt rbi single, Bellinger grand slam for a six-run inning and an 8-2 lead,
Final. Yankees win 8-2 with a 6 run 8th inning. Williams gets the win. Fried went 6 strong innings giving up both runs. Loaisiga with a shutout 7th. Williams with a shutout 8th and earns the win. Hill with a shutout 9th. Bellinger had six rbis for the game going 3-3. Vivas with a big at bat fouling off pitch after pitch, finally hits a ground ball that scored the tie breaking run in the 8th, and Goldschmidt with an rbi single for a 4-2 lead, capped by Bellingers grand slam. Yankee take series and the 765 million dollar, I don't want to play for the Yankees man, Soto goes 1-10 with 3 Ks in the series helping lead his team to defeat.
Great game 2-2 after seven innings, but Yankees broke it open in the 8th with 6 runs for a 8-2 win.
Theeeeeeeeeeeeee Yankeeeeeeeeeeeeees Winnnnnnnnn 6-2.
Off day, hooray. Next up, Texas Rangers for three games, Tue, Wed, Thur. Warren, Yarbrough, Rodon.
