WIN METHOD --- END OF 2017 --- BUILD FOR 2018 --- BLOOM AND GROW

The YANKEES have reached the end of their fantastic 2017 season.  And a great season it was, accomplishing more than any pundits and most fans expected.  But not here at the WIN METHOD, where it was stated the YANKEES would make the playoffs and beyond, and where likely every WIN METHOD fan believed would happen.  The YANKEES not only reached the playoffs, but they won the wild card game against the Minnesota Twins to advance to the American League Division Series (ALDS).  In the ALDS the YANKEES had the Cleveland Indians waiting for them to play a best of five game series.  The Indians won 102 games during the season and were looking to go back to the World Series where they lost in seven games last season. The Indians won the first two games and the YANKEES had their backs to the wall.  You WIN METHOD fans, the smartest most intelligent baseball fans never gave up, you rooted your team on, never gave up, and the YANKEES themselves never game up as they went on to defeat the Indians in the next three games.  An amazing comeback for the YANKEES.  By winning the ALDS the YANKEES moved on to the American League Championship Series (ALCS) where they had the Houston Astros waiting for them.  Houston won 101 games over the season and are a young developing great team.  The ALCS is a best of seven game series and the winner goes to the World Series and the losing team ends their season.  The Astros won the first two games of the series and the YANKEES again had their backs to the wall.  The YANKEES never gave up and neither did you WIN METHOD fans.  The YANKEES came back to win the next three games of the series.  The YANKEES just needed to win one of the next two games in Houston to go to the World Series.  The Astros had other thoughts in mend and they also never gave up and the Astros came back to win the two games in Houston and move on to the World Series.  The YANKEE season was over.  But the blooming and growing was just beginning.  The 2017 YANKEES achieved more than the baseball world expected.  The WIN METHOD fans were not surprised, WIN METHOD fans being the most intelligent and knowledgeable in baseball were well aware of what their YANKEE team could achieve as the youngsters started to bloom and grow.
Congratulations to the YANKEE players, coaches, management, front office, and ownership for allowing the YANKEE team to bloom and grow.

The off season has arrived for the YANKEES.  Time to kick back, rest, relax, and do the things you want to do and the things that you don't have time to do during the season.  Enjoy guys, you made you proud and your run is just beginning.  During the off season the YANKEE front office will have many decisions to make regarding player personnel.  No question the roster for 2018 will change, some new players will come and some will go.  The YANKEES are in a position of great power having the best minor league system in baseball and many many players blooming and growing trying to make the 2018 roster and challenge veteran players.  The front office has work to do, hard decisions to make, and make them they will.

On a side note, you the WIN METHOD fans, fans from all over the world have made it possible for the WIN METHOD  blog, the greatest Yankee and baseball blog/forum in the world to surpass a quarter of a billion views.  Thank you fans for your devotion and passion, for being smartest baseball fans that exist, and for standing up against stat frauds  and their misguided fools view of baseball.  This blog will continue without advertisements and clutter that fills every other site you may visit.  I know, you visit them for laughs.

Have fun everyone in the off season.  I will go out and find a few more WIN METHOD players to bloom and grow down the road.  Spring training 2018 is going to be a lot of fun as the kids make their push for the majors, the brightest lights and the biggest stage in baseball, the New York YANKEES.  Yes they can, and they will.  Lets go Yankees.

To go back to the player and owner pay discussion. I wonder how much the steroid cheating druggies inflated the pay scale with their inflated ill gained stats?

Xavier Young said...

Doug Shoen...Likely a few million or more to the higher priced players and the trickle down effect to everyone else.

Jill Byrnes said...

The steroid era was a black mark on baseball. The players that cheated, the owners, the commissioner were all culpable for allowing it to occur. Worst is some people want the cheaters allowed into the HOF.

Norm Jackson said...

The voters who want the cheats in the HOF I would think are very aligned with stat frauds. Birds of a feather flock together.

Here is something I thought many here would like. It shows a convoluted man created formula to tory to judge pitchers. I find it as meaningless claptrap.
FIP. Fielding Independent Pitching converts a pitcher's three true outcomes into an earned run average-like number. The formula is (13*HR+3*(HBP+BB)-2*K)/IP, plus a constant (usually around 3.2). These stat frauds are unbelievably stupid.

jimbo said...

coryankee, I think you are giving the stat frauds to much credit when you call them 'unbelievably stupid'.

Tommy Stenchion said...

Stat frauds are unable to define the best players because they do not believe wins and winning define the best players. So they must try to prove their point with formulas they create. The main problem thy run into is their formulas are meaningless for many reasons.

Sarah Long said...

"average-like number" and "usually around" are very suspicious in a "formula".

White Knight said...

I am sure there are many more fake formulas that can be listed.

FranktheTANK said...

Do you go look up things for the sole purpose to ridicule them? How much free time do you have?

Hobbs said...

Here is another useless stat fraud concoction. BABIP, or batting average on balls in play, was originally designed to measure a pitcher's ability to prevent hits on balls in play. ... The formula: Hits minus home runs, divided by at-bats minus home runs minus strikeouts plus sacrifice flies (H - HR)/(AB - HR - K + SF). Totally useless and meaningless.

coryankee said...

FrantheTANK, To ridicule a formula, I think it wise to find out what the formula is trying to accomplish. Therein lies my opinion of meaningless claptrap. You can use it if you like it.

Steve said...

No matter what any formula or whatever the stat frauds wish to believe only wins and winning determines the best. We have said it a thousand times all throughout this blog.

This is interesting blog

How has Winmethod avoided the New York and national media for all these years? I’ve literally never heard mention of him outside this blog. To me that calls to question his validity...

yankeeclipper said...

I was perusing several minor league player lists and was pleased to see the Yankees very close to the top of the lists which are subjective. It continues to be a feather in the cap of WIN METHOD who has so successfully help guide the Yankees for going on three decades now.

bigbadwolf said...

Shelly, WIN METHOD has proprietary rights.

Wilsonsway said...

yankeeclipper, And think of the young highly rated players they traded away the past year.

Shelly said...

Wolf
Care to elaborate on that and how he has avoided any mention in media outlets? I’m very interested.

bigbadwolf said...

Shelly, you can do yourself a favor if you read up on proprietary contracts. You can look up (NDA). I do not have specifics, only WIN METHOD does.

William Mensom said...

Shelly, A proprietary contract depending on how it is written should have a clause where one or both of the parties must keep whatever is defined in the contract secret.

Cory said...

yankeeclipper and Wilsonsway....Not to mention all the youngsters that the rating services miss.

Shelly said...

I’m aware of what a proprietary contract entails- it just isn’t a logical explanation for how a man who has apparently been so instrumental to this franchise has gotten no mention from any media outlet in his entire 30 year career, that’s what I was seeking elaboration o.

Thanks!

bigbadwolf said...

Shelly, why don't you ask the media why they don't talk about the WIN METHOD.

Shelly said...

Ok I shall, I’ll let you know what they say. Thanks wolf man!

yankeeclipper said...

bigbadwolf, the WIN METHOD has been mentioned on several talk forums, it was mentioned on the Mike and Mad Dog radio show, it has been mentioned on several baseball forums. Chad Copely said...

Phil Jenkins. I agree, there is no way Machado or Harper are worth 30-40 million dollars per year. They are franchise killers in the same mold as afraud. I don't mean cheaters nor liars. No player is worth 30 million dollars per year.

Lori Kelly said...

Steven, every player in baseball never played for a MLB team before until they were given their chance. I think Machado plays for Machado and not his team. Individual stats are not what wins games.

The risk with Andujar at third base is less than the risk of Machado if you take cost into th equation in my opinion. Andujar won't cost a fortune.

Walt Belamy said...

It seems as if another work week is gone and no big signings.

Steven said...

Lori,
Yes but the Yankees are presumably starting two rookies, so it wouldn't be the worst idea to get veteran depth in case one of them falters. I'm just playing devil's advocate - it's very reasonable that some people could still want the Yankees to sign some veteran depth as insurance.

Stan - 19 at-bats from his rookie season? That's not a very convincing argument against him.

At the end of the day, based on the theory of this blog - only winmethod can know if he's winmethod and none of his stats or our thoughts about him matter :-).

Stan the Man said...

Steven, 27 bats over three series which two were lost in 2012 and 2016. The WIN METHOD blog is not theory, it is fact. Everybody's thoughts and opinions matter. However, some opinions matter more than others.

Steven said...

Stan
With almost all coming his rookie season...and again very limited at bats to make any judgement about some one. Gardener, Sanchez and Hicks have bad postseason numbers too...should we cut bait there?

No it’s a theory. The theory that one man who has no mention or evidence of existence outside a free google blog is actually the key to the Yankees success. Fact needs like evidence, which there is very little. The only evidence I’ve seen is reference to blog posts and a picture of a cake.

Guy Padikian said...

TEN, ten, 10, X, Days until spring training.

bigbadwolf said...

Steven, Post season facts: Machado 3 series 1-2 .174 BA. Gardner 12 series 7-5 .215 BA Sanchez 3 series 2-1 .208 BA. Hicks 3 series 2-1 .196 BA.
With the WIN METHOD based on wins and winning, all three players have helped their team win series and advance in the post season. Machado helped his team lose more series and then go home.
Regarding WIN METHOD. I think it is very clear. WIN METHOD seeks no notoriety, that is why there is a proprietary deal. Free blog, where he advertises nothing, he asks for no ID's from anyone to post. WIN METHOD has provided a forum to all fans who do not believe in meaningless stats or convoluted fake stats. A forum where they don't get banned for expressing their opinions. A forum where wins and winning determine the best players and teams. A forum where you, as you did, express your opinions and views without getting banned. But if I went on any of the garbage sites and expressed my views I get banned.
You can't have things the way you want them to be. If you do not believe, that is fine, millions do believe.

Steven said...

bigbadwolf
Still - couldn't Machado be Winmethod for us for all we know? If that's the case why does it matter? Stanton never even made it to the postseason but everyone's on board because he's winmethod.

I wasn't saying anything about the blog, I'm just saying there's little to no evidence he works alongside the Yankee organization...I question these millions for believing in things with so little supporting evidence.

Anonymous said...

Kudos! a very helpful internet site; couldn't make it without ya!

reinvaldez said...

The day countdown to camp goes into single digits tomorrow. Smile and be happy.

Lori Kelly said...

Steven, we have Torreyes who can play three positions. I would just let Andujar start the season at third base no matter what he does this spring training and then bring up Torres after the 2-3 weeks we need to get another year of control. I don't think we need veteran depth. Then there is also Wade. I see no need to spend money when you do not need to.

Steven said...

Lori
I’m perfectly ok with starting with the rooks. Again was Just playing devils advocate, all the players you named have never actually been full time starters over the course of a regular season.

bigbadwolf said...

Steven, yes Machado could be WIN METHOD. Stanton said he wanted to be a Yankee and vetoed trades to two other teams to make his point. Read back and when WIN METHOD started the blog he told the world before it was announced that CC and Teixeira would sign with the Yankees. He told the world that afraud was a dirtbag lying cheat and was not WIN METHOD. He has made his point.
Having a proprietary deal with Mr. Steinbrenner and now Hal, only WIN METHOD himself can reveal anything about the WIN METHOD and he has for years. I can only believe that the penalties on Mr. Steinbrenner and Hal would have been and are overwhelming. The deal is not with the Yankees, that has been made very clear forever.

Lori Kelly said...

Steven, Torreyes has more than proved himself. Save the dollars.

Deb F said...

The Teixeira signing was my defining moment. I think WIN METHOD posted Tex would sign with the Yankees about five days before he did and everyone everywhere thought he was signing with the Orioles. I remember every time he came to bat in Baltimore, he got heartily booed for years. Go back and read my comment on the Teixeira signing.

jimbo said...

I think it amazing how stat frauds demean the WIN METHOD and yet exult meaningless convoluted fraudulent individual stats.

YankeeMike said...

Deb F, amazing, you have been here from the beginning. You know baseball and winning.

Steven said...

Deb F
And he was literally dead wrong about Pettite, Cliff Lee, and Manny Ramirez at the same time. He’s actually been wrong way more than right in those post. Also seems like he’s just guessing.

Also for all of you ragging on Darvish - there’s a full winmethod post about him and how he’s fully winmethod, or did we forget?

Deb F said...

Steven, Pettite's and Lee's wives put the kabosh on the signings, not the players. Manny did not get by the Jeter meeting as WIN METHOD stated in his blog post. You neglected Adam Warren who was a special pick by WIN METHOD. Plus, I do not think nor does anyone believe the WIN METHOD is perfect, but it is the best evaluation tool in baseball. The only one dead wrong is you.

yankeeclipper said...

Deb F, if you were in a stat fraud forum, you would have been banned by now.

Deb F said...

Steven, I failed to mention Darvish. That was then, this is now. People change. It surely looks like the Yankees lucked out when the Rangers outbid them for Darvish.

Sammybigdog said...

Deb F, Then again Darvish, being WIN METHOD could have worked out great for the Yankees since this is where he wanted to be. He did not get what he wanted.

Steven said...

Deb F
You’re making excuses, winmethod was incorrect in his blog posts on those players, simple as that. I can’t just ignore that he’s made more errors in his posts than otherwise.

Am I supposed to be amazed by Adam warren? He’s been a decent middle reliever for us. He was barely used in the postseason last year where things matter the most.

As sammy said - he might just not be winmethod for them. I think everyone calling his garbish here forgot about that post.

Deb F said...

Steve, I realize you believe in fantasy and made up issues even if you have to make them up yourself. Fact, Pettite's wife talked hom out of the deal. Fact Lee's wife told him she would not come to NY. Fact, WIN METHOD posted that Jeter would have to OK Manny. Fact, Warren was no highly rated out of UNC and the UNC pitcher taken long before Warren that WIN METHOD did not like was picked in the first round and failed miserably. Warren has been a very big asset for the Yankees. Warren had a brilliant post season in 2017.

Fact, Garbish is earned by his production the past two seasons and his costing his team a World Series championship last season.

KevMac said...

Deb F, you are banging your head against the wall debating with a stat fraud.

I think Steven only posts here to pull out chains. Once in awhile he delves into intelligent conversation, but mostly nonsense. Stat frauds simply fail to see the motivation of real people.

Steven said...

Deb
Fact - winmethod was wrong in his posts about them. And are you saying petite and lee told the organization they were coming here without talking to their wives about it? What world do you live in.

Fact - darvish, per winmethod, is winmethod for the Yankees so he may have success here. Basic tenent if winmethod.

Fact - warren pitched 4 garbage time innings in 2017. That is not brilliant or significant.

You’re not doing a good job debating

Deb F said...

Steven, yes in fact each wife convinced each pitcher not to sign, each for a different reason however. So that makes YOUR fact wrong.

Yes, Darvish was WIN METHOD then. Another team outbid the Yankees. Darvish wanted to be a Yankee.

Warren pitched brilliantly helping keep his team in the game right up to game seven. I guess for a stat fraud pitching well is bad. You are wrong.

You lose another.

Steven said...

Just to be done with this Deb
1- any way you slice it, winmethod was wrong in his posts. He even followed up admitting he was wrong.

2- I think you’re agreeing here? This isn’t really a rebuttle.

3- he appeared in 3 games. We lost 2 of those games. That’s not brilliant.

I’m not losing at all, you’re making sad excuses and have a scewed reality of facts.

Here is the Lee story from SB Nation.

""The main players in the Lee sweepstakes that winter were known to be the Rangers and the Yankees. However, Lee was the clear prize of the offseason, so no team could be counted out. In a stunning development, Lee opted to return to his former team, the Phillies, on a 5 year, $120 million contract (with a sixth year vesting option) despite receiving a higher offer and more years from the Yankees. Maybe he didn't take kindly to New York fans harassing his wife during the 2010 ALCS.""

Why didn't Lee take more from the Yankees, there is the opinion Deb F stated.

RLA said...

This is from an ESPN article.

""But as the Feb. 14 report date for pitchers and catchers drew closer, the 38-year-old left-hander realized that he couldn't commit to playing a 17th season in the major leagues, choosing instead to spend time with his wife and children in Deer Park, Texas.""

After 16 years pitching it sure looks like Andy took a year off to spend time with his family. I am sure he and his wife discussed the decision. Petitte then signed the next season.

Looks like Deb F on target again.

Steven said...

Congrats RLA.

bigbadwolf, I noticed how Steven ignored your very compelling and telling post from yesterday but continued his rant repeating the same garbage ad nauseum.

Steven said...

Steve
I'm curious what is compelling about that in your mind. I wonder if you could answer these:
-Why do you believe that this man is so involved with the Yankee organization? What hard evidence have you seen that proves he does what he says he does? Can you please share?
-I presume you will refer to the Teixeria claim. However almost no one was around to see that post made in real-time, and the blog allows you to postdate any post, so it's not really convincing. My second question then is, why have there been no other times over the past decade where he has broken news well ahead of anyone else?

Steven said...

Ultimately, until some one can provide a shred of hard, irrefutable evidence, I'm going to believe that WINMETHOD is in fact a fraud. I'm willing to change my opinion of course, but as the only evidence provided is that he posted a blog about Teixeria signing a few days earlier than others, and this being after being incorrect on Pettitte and Cliff Lee, that isn't exactly irrefutable evidence.

They will hate you when you get attention. They will hate you when people in their life like you. They will hate you if you worship a different version of their God. They will hate you if you are spiritual. They will hate you if you have courage. They will hate you if you have an opinion. They will hate you when people support you. They will hate you when they see you happy. Heck, they will hate you while they post prayers and religious quotes on Pinterest and Facebook. They just hate. However, remember this: They hate you because you represent something they feel they don’t have. It really isn’t about you. It is about the hatred they have for themselves. So smile today because there is something you are doing right that has a lot of people thinking about you.”""""""

I find it much easier to believe in the no nonsense reality based WIN METHOD than the lies and deception based convoluted formulas of stat frauds. All one needs to decide for themselves, do individual stats or wins and winning determine the best players and teams.

Yankeeforever said...

Steven, you are the fraud. You have pretty much proven that since you have started posting here.

Steven said...

Steve
I’m not coming with any hate, I think my questions are fair, and I can only take your refusal to answer them as proof that you don’t have any evidence. Not sure how I can take it any other way.

Yankeeforever
A fraud in what sense? I’ve spoken my opinions, they just don’t jive with yours. You don’t bring much to the table outside of name calling (which by the way I find very childish and not constructive at all).

Sorry I need a shred of evidence to believe in this guy? I don’t really think that’s so extreme.

Warren Hammond said...

Here is my perspective. WIN METHOD has been around for a very long time. The WIN METHOD is either one of the most elaborate long lasting scheme the sports world has ever seen or is in fact real. Since there is no value this being a scheme (no advertising, no money's involved not asked for, selling nothing, no signup of e-mails -which are then sold- to post, I do not see any purpose for this being anything but real and truth.
The fact that so many posters here from all over have been banned from so many talk forums for expressing their opinions and their belief in the WIN METHOD speaks volumes. I have gone back and read countless forums and seen the names of posters here BANNED under their names for over ten plus years. Even the cake from WIN METHODs 70th birthday celebration. No one goes through that much trouble. It is sad when the fake and fantasy world goes to their extremes to silence the real world.
Only two parties in a deal such as exists with the WIN METHOD have positive knowledge of it. One must remain silent because of what I assume are very harsh penalties and the other who can speak of it, does. I understand this blog was started because of all the bannings by the frauds, because they could not accept being challenged and embarrassed by WIN METHOD fans. So they silenced them, and now they are here demanding proof, demeaning the fans who believe, and making themselves look like fools. Yet, they do not get banned or silenced.
That is enough proof for me and proof positive.

That was a very well written and fair opinion.

Ultimately to me though, it just further shows there is truly no evidence. This person claims to be one of the most pivotal to one of the most successful and popular sports teams in the world for the past 20 years, and yet there is no evidence of him actually existing. That, to me, is just too hard to believe. Hey, if you don’t need evidence, to each his own. Still don’t think my opinion is unreasonable.

bigbadwolf said...

If we ban posters and or their opinion we would fall to their level at the bottom of the barrel. We are better than that, we are the best.

I work for WIN METHOD and I have met him.

Thank you wolfman.

Nancy said...

I work for the Yankee organization and there has been no mention of a person like this working for the organization.

bigbadwolf said...

Nancy, DUH! It looks like you are unable to comprehend a proprietary contract. Also, WIN METHOD does not work for the Yankee organization.

Nancy said...

I work directly with mr Steinbrenner - no such outstanding proprietary contract exists.

Anonymous said...

Hear hear WIN METHOD fans and supporters.

bigbadwolf said...

Nancy, with a proprietary contract, you would have no idea in the world. And it is Mr. not mr

bigbadwolf said...

Nancy, If you ask Hal, he should say he has no idea what you are talking about.

YankeeMike said...

bigbadwolf, so true. Facts get to people one way or the other.

sid greenberg,nyc said...

Sometimes to believe in something it just takes good old fashioned common sense. I am old enough to believe in common sense.

Nancy said...

How convenient for you. However a proprietary contract details confidential information between two parties that cannot be shared with third parties. The existence of the contract itself, however, is not confidential.

Furthermore there would be additional agreements needed in order for the alleged individual to perform work for the purposes of aiding the Yankee organization. Otherwise the work would be circumventing Major League Baseball guidelines and be subject to penalties. I do not believe Mr. Streinbrenner would put this franchise at risk in that fashion.

bigbadwolf said...

Nancy, that is not true.
""""What Is a Non-Disclosure Agreement?
A non-disclosure agreement (NDA) is a legal contract that keeps one party from revealing another party's secrets. An NDA makes a confidential relationship between the parties, are used to protect proprietary or secret information, typically in business relationships. NDAs get more complicated the more information they need to cover, though they can start very simply. NDAs are especially popular in tech fields.'''''
The deal is between two men. MLB is not involved. The Yankee organization is not involved. Nancy, please realize there are smarter people in this world than you. And you can be very very intelligent.

Nancy said...

Bigbadwolf
In that case is the information exchanged between these two men used in anyway within the Yankee organization or with any member of the Yankee organization for the benefit of the team (i.e is Brian Cashman made aware of the information). If so, then, it would by all appearance that MLB is involved and the agreement is being used as a way of circumventing established rules and confines.

I don’t see how you can say MLB is not involved while at the same time suggesting this information has been used to greatly benefit the Yankee organization.

William Mensom said...

bigbadwolf, you are correct.

bigbadwolf said...

Nancy, what you claim is balderdash. I'll leave it at that.

Nancy said...

Why? Your claim is that MLB is not involved yet the information is used for the direct benefit of an MLB team, is it not?

I am very concerned by this and will have to raise it to the attention to the organization. I hope this relationship does not bring harm
to this great franchise.

Stanley Chin said...

Let me throw one thing out there. How in the world could ever prove that there is a proprietary deal between any two people? They can't, end of story.

Stanley Chin said...

I forget the MLB between could and ever.

bigbadwolf said...

Nancy, What relationship? LOL. Do whatever you think necessary. The organization is not involved.

Frank Sergi said...

This has been one heck of a read. Love it. Just more proof WIN METHOD is a little bit smarter than a heck of a lot of people.

Gil McKenzie said...

Hear hear WIN METHOD fans.

Nancy said...

Bigbadwolf
So then, winmethod has in no way shape or form helped or assisted the Yankee organizations?

I was referring to the relationship you claim exists between Mr. Steinbrenner and this winmethod man...

bigbadwolf said...

Nancy, again, and again, WIN METHOD has no relationship with the Yankee organization. He receives no compensation from the Yankee organization.

Nancy said...

Bigbadwolf
I’m sure you understand the monetary compensation is not the only defining factor into having a business relationship between two entities.

But if you say he has no relationship of any kind with them, so be it. So then what he claims on this blog must be false then. Thank you.

Sharon/NC said...

Hear hear bigbadwolf. Hear hear Warren. I wonder where Steven went.

Heading to a super bowl party shortly, but I thought the conversation I had was over at this point? There’s no proof or evidence, and until there is, I’m not a believer. Did I leave off with something unclear to you?
