WIN METHOD....bringing out the best

Here it is the last month of the 2013 MLB regular season and the drive to the playoffs is on.   And yes, this YANKEE team is in the hunt and could still reach the playoffs this season.  WIN METHOD fans, and all baseball fans, think of the playing time lost by so many YANKEES this season.  I bet we couldn't name everyone, but lets try.   We lost regulars, then we lost replacements for the regulars, then we lost subs for the replacement players.

Jeter, Teixeira, Granderson, Cervelli, Youkilis, Hafner, Phelps, Nix, Almonte, Nunez, and you can throw in sad to say Afraud.  Add in the smaller injuries to several others for various amounts of time and you have more games missed than you can shake a stick at.

Through all the injuries the WIN METHOD has selected enough quality players producing just enough and at the right time to help keep this years YANKEE team in the playoff dog fight.  The YANKEE season isn't over yet.

It is as it always has been a matter of WINS.  Only WINS can take a team and a player to the second season.  Nothing else matters, no stat of any kind, be it an actual reality based stat or a convoluted misleading man made stat used and relied upon only by the most foolish of baseball fans.
A question that that the stat frauds can't handle and refuse to answer is....would you rather go to the playoffs because you won enough games, or would you rather lead the league in stats and not make the playoffs???

The interesting story of this season and what we need to take away from this season, is just how well the WIN METHOD can produce, even in the worst of times, and then just how great a season 2014 will look to be.  First things first, lets all root for this YANKEE team to reach the playoffs this season.  No matter what happens the rest of the year, this 2013 YANKEE team has done the WIN METHOD and Joe Girardi proud.  Lets roll.

It is being reported by afrauds band of phoneys, crooks, thugs, and liars that afraud would accept a shortened ban of less than 100 games and not fight it in the courts. What a crook. I guess he knows he is not innocent of anything. Hang him forever.

Dan Evans said...

Afraud....I lied and cheated my entire baseball career. I lied and cheated to obtain the highest baseball contract. I lied and cheated on my wife and family. Please give me a short suspension.

ME.....Kick afraud out of baseball.

Just in.....NEW YORK (AP) — Alex Rodriguez's drug suspension was cut to 162 games from 211 by arbitrator Fredric Horowitz, a decision that sidelines the New York Yankees third baseman the entire 2014 season.

Rodriguez also would be sidelined for any postseason games under the decision announced Saturday.

The three-time AL MVP was given the 211-game penalty on Aug. 5 following Major League Baseball's investigation of the Biogenesis of America anti-aging clinic, which was accused of distributing banned performance-enhancing drugs.

A-Rod was disciplined by Commissioner Bud Selig under both baseball's drug agreement and its labor contract.

The Major League Baseball Players Association filed a grievance saying the discipline was without "just cause"

Horowitz, who became the sport's independent arbitrator in 2012, heard the case over 12 sessions from Sept. 30 until Nov. 20. Technically, he chaired a three-man arbitration panel that included MLB Chief Operating Officer Rob Manfred and union General Counsel Dave Prouty.

The 38-year-old Rodriguez could challenge the ruling in federal court, but judges rarely overturn arbitrators' decisions.

Despite the ban, baseball's drug rules allow Rodriguez to participate in spring training and play in exhibition games

Is it at all possible that afrauds banishment is grounds for the Yankees to be able to void the rest of his contract???? I guess that will be up to the lawyers to figure out.

Victor Grandozi said...

With the arbitrators decision the Yankees instantly become a better team. YES!

The signing of Tanaka will be the coup de gras.

Jack Bauer said...

Jeter the face of baseball and baseball greatest player for the past two decades will make the difference for Tanaka signing with the Yankees.

Deb F said...

Tanaka has said he wants to be in a big market because of his wifes career.

Benny Pake said...

What is Tanakas wifes career?

Dawn Henning said...

Tanakas wife is a pop singer, this LA or NY would be the logical choice for them.

Mike Smith said...

I have not much problem with Nunez at 3b this season. Jeter can cover most of the ground anyway. Jeter still has all the defensive tools and at worst may have lost a little step in his overwhelming range.
But baseball smarts and experience can make up some of that.

Victor Bruno said...

Just having Jetes back at short solidifies the defense enormously.

johnsondc said...

12 more days for Tanaka.

Dan Evans said...

Dodgers or Yankees, which will Tanaka choose?

Saul Irving said...

Tanaka would be nice, but he is really unproven and there will always be other options. Think positive.

sid greenberg,nyc said...

The glass half empty fans are really under estimating this 2014 Yankee team.

Agree sid. The Yankees are going to have a very big year, particularly with afraud out of sight.

I think he may not want NY. But it is anyones guess. We will find out soon.

Gus Papa said...

Dodgers sign Krenshaw for 7 years at 30M per, does anyone think they will go really big for Tanaka also.

Lou Lis said...

I'd pay Tanaka 20M before I'd pay Kershaw 30M.

johnsondc said...

9 more days for Tanaka.

Nick Polito said...

Will Kershaws 30M/year come back to haunt the Dodgers?

bigbadwolf said...

It seems like when these guys who are supposedly so dominant for a season or two and get the big bucks, quickly go south with some kind of injury.

Stan the Man said...

Exactly, and that is why you must be cautious with how much you lay out and for how long. More fore shorter time frames is more logical.

Gene A said...

Does Kershaws 30M make Tanakas pay day higher?

Linda Pardo said...

Tanaka to play the string out until the last day. Might as well I guess. You never know when someone may do something rash.

Fred Slube said...

CC changes agents. ????

johnsondc said...

8 more days for Tanaka.

RLA said...

Officially for Tanaka as of this post, 7 days, 8 hours, and 13 minutes for Tanaka.

Vladmir Tinzik said...

i think the Yankees will sign Tanaka just for the ancillary income.

Serg Golsch said...

This season is going to be a good one for Yankee fans.

Carl Hooks said...

""""""" Fred Slube said...

really means little to the Yankees. Yankees have CC for three more years and he either produces or he is gone.

John Hartnett said...

Jeter will never have to play with the cancer afraud again.

Glen Casey said...

May Jeter close out his career with a winning season. That is what he plays for and should be why the game of baseball should be played.
