We are a week into spring training and I am in Tampa now for a few days before heading out to the colleges across America looking for the best potential WIN METHOD players out there and available.
Everything is looking good so far this spring, but for the loss of Greg Bird for the season with shoulder surgery. Bird is one of several YANKEE youngsters on the cusp of contributing to helping the YANKEES earn playoffs, win pennants, and win World Series in the coming years. Louie Louie Severino is here and looking for a very strong 2016 as a starting pitcher, Dellin Betances is here and one of the top relief pitchers in all of Major League Baseball. Gary Sanchez may make the team this spring and/or if not this spring, sometime this season. Also right fielder Aaron Judge and shortstop Jorge Mateo are making a very strong impression right now this spring and either one or both while still going to start in the minor leagues this season, could be seeing action with the YANKEES this year. There is also Rob Refsyder contending for a utility infield position. Plus any of several youngsters may come north with the YANKEES as middle relievers. Don't forget pitchers Lindgren and Kaprielian. The ones who do not, could also quickly develop and prove themselves with more development in the minors and be ready at a moments notice to help in the YANKEES drive for the pennant this season.
WIN METHOD fans, remember it is not what a player does for themselves that defines the best players, but what they contribute to help their team make the playoffs and advance through the playoffs. A sacrifice fly or advancing a runner, a single, a stolen base, a bunt can contribute to a win in any game, while a grand slam home run in a game you are winning 8-0 can be utterly meaningless to the team. Any team whose pitchers earn the most WINS, will make the playoffs, no other pitching stat can do that, no other pitching stat is more important than WINS. We all know it takes a team of players to help pitchers earn those wins and that is what determines the best teams and players in baseball. Players contributing to help each other win games. What you do for yourself means nothing if you do not help your team win by producing when it counts the most.
An issue was brought up by a poster a few months back regarding dating on blogger posts. After contacting Google representatives it was discovered that Google allows the false dating of posts, however the false dating of a blog will be discovered when Google actually dates the publishing date of the post in its search engine. In other words, a blogger falsely can post a blog post right now with a date of October 1, 2015, but when Googles search engine publishes the thread in its search engine it will have todays date as to when it was actually published. The blog date can be altered but the actual publishing date cannot.
The real baseball season, when the games count, and producing when it matters is just about a month away and baseball, Americas greatest sport will begin its 2016 season. Good luck to all the teams, but as always LETS GO YANKEES. The YANKEE team is getting younger and farm system is starting to produce players more consistently. Then there is always the possible WIN METHOD free agent when needed and available.
The views of the WIN METHOD blog will break the two hundred seventy million mark in the next week. The WIN METHOD blog is viewed by people from all over the world and continues to be the best baseball blog in existence with the smartest most intelligent posters in the sports world. WIN METHOD posters and followers continue to bury the stat frauds and fantasy game players on the baseball forums. WIN METHOD players know baseball and what it takes to win and be a winner. The best teams and players win.

«Oldest ‹Older 401 – 600 of 650 Newer› Newest»If winning at a .525 percentage is not considered dominant for an individual team, then why is it considered dominant for a league winning percentage? You're 15-4 record is fake and meaningless and ignores the ACTUAL on field wins that occurred.
Look it's my opinion. I just don't see the point at looking at it so narrowly as you are. I'm looking at the full scope of the wins. I don't see what's crazy about that at all.
And for the record, everyone, I understand what your saying "uh duh well 15-4 is so obviously dominant" is not adding anything at all to the conversation. Obviously 15-4 is dominant, but why in the world are we ignoring all the actual wins and losses?
The facts are that the AL wins 52.5% of the games they play against the NL. My opinion is that that is not dominant. A team winning at that rate isn't dominant, and in my opinion neither is the AL winning at the rate. That's my opinion.
Nova goes this afternoon against the O's.
Nine days for real baseball.
Roy, from what you are saying """"" You're 15-4 record is fake and meaningless and ignores the ACTUAL on field wins that occurred.""""" Would you think that if a league wins 15 of 19 WS over a 19 year stretch? Very dominant. Sure you have your opinion and sure you can try to defend it. But others have opinions also and they try to defend theirs. In any case winning 15 of 19 is dominant.
Victor
Is there a prize for the fact that the AL won more games than the NL in those years? There's no on-field significance to that. By doing that your not looking at the full picture, and that isn't really debatable.
Nova can make it hard for Girardi with another strong effort this afternoon.
Roy, each and every win is the prize. The more wins you earn the better your chance of reaching the playoffs.
Victor
That is literally exactly what I'm saying, that's why I'm looking at the full picture and looking at EVERY win.
The 15-4 thing is not looking at each and every win.
I wonder if anyone thought of both CC or Nova as the 5th starter depending on each pitchers propensity to do well against the team they would be pitching against when their turn is due. You know the schedule you are playing, so you can slot whichever one you need and the other is a bullpen option until he starts. You make be happy to get five or six innings out of either per start.
Roy, wins are always the goal and always determine the best. A team can win the WS and have had less wins during the regular season than any other playoff team. The wins they earned during the season qualified them for the playoffs. The wins during the playoffs determine the WS winner. The same for inter league play. One more win over the season means the league won the season. It goes to the stat fraud scenario of how meaningless stats can be and be manipulated. Example, the NL wins 5 inter league seasons by 10 games each equals +50. They lose the other 14 seasons by 3 games each season. -42 wins. Over the 19 seasons they are +8 games over the AL but lost the seasons with a record of 5-14.
What determines dominant. 52-48, 53-47, 54-46, 55-45, etc. It is for each to decide.
Alright Victor, the whole point I've been making is that the AL is better than the NL, but they aren't dominating the matchups day in and day out. They've been consistently better, but when you're only winning 52.5% of your matchups, you're not dominating. Considering the point I'm making is based on a game by game aspect, then it only makes sense to look at the full picture of all games.
You rambled on about a lot of things that aren't related to this discussion.
Maybe you're not getting the point I'm making, I don't know...but I'm sort of done talking about it seeing that your clearly not getting my point..
Pete H - agreed on that, 52.5% could be dominant to some, it's not to me seeing as a team winning 52.5% isn't dominant. That's that.
Yanks lead 3-1 after 2.
Roy, I realize you do not want to accept the point of fact I made, as you called it rambling on. You have made it abundantly clear that you cannot accept 14-5 is overwhelming. Fortunately, most posters here do.
Ok victor now I'm going to kindly ask you to shut up because you're just beating a dead horse and not even listening to what I'm saying:
"Obviously 15-4 is dominant" - that's a quote from me.
I'm looking at the full picture of all wins-losses, and I'm done repeating that to you.
5-3 Yankees after 3.
Nova has given up 2 home runs in 3 innings so far.
5-5 after 4. Nova gives up 3rd HR of game.
7-7 after 7.
Roy, I don't think you are a dead horse. Just not a very smart horse. And I am certainly not beating you physically, but I am beating you with common sense. If you earn enough wins each season to win 15 seasons and lose only 4, you are dominant.
Victor
You're clearly an admin posting under another name as both our posts were posted at the same time. Pretty sad.
We're arguing different points, insomuch I'm looking at games and your looking at seasons. Do you see that?
Now that is funny Victor.
8-8 after 9. Teams will play a 10th inning.
Ahahahah busted. Win Method posting under a different name all along!!!
That's awesome, caught red handed.
WIN METHOD GOT CAUGHT AND REMOVED HIS POST!!!
Wow, what a joke....
Victor IS Win Method. WHAT A PHONY!
Roy, I am discussing dominant. You win enough games in a season to win the season and then win 15 of 19 season, that is dominant.
Victor - I saw you post under winmethod google account. delete the message, and then repost.
Don't deny it. If you do, that's really sad.
Yanks get one in 10th for a 9-8 lead. O's up.
10-8 candycane. The Yanks are scoring faster than you can keep score. Also giving them up. Now 10-9 with bags full and no outs for Orioles.
Roy, you are delirious. I've been moderating the past few hours.
Yanks go down 11-10.
Haha so pathetic, I know what I saw, and when I refreshed the page it was gone, and when I refreshed again it was reposted under Victors name.
You're really sad, a real man would own up to the truth.
Roy, there were several posts over a couple of hours in between your comment and Victors response to you. I guess they either magically appeared and disappeared. You may be hallucinating.
Or you may want to refresh more often. You may easily miss posts that have been posted and then they appear when you refresh.
Haha bigbadwolf, I'm not hallucinating anything. I now know for sure that WinMethod posts under different names, you're probably winmethod in reality. What a joke.
I'm done here, what a pathetic sham. You should honestly be ashamed that you would lie to people like you are.
Roy, the only one lying to people is you. You have been posting contrary opinions on every subject yo get involved in. You now make up a story to try to discredit one of the most viewed blogs in world. If we had anything to hide here, do you think for a minute that we would allow your posts to be viewed. Get over yourself, you ignore that there were several posts over several hours between what you claim and what is reality. We don't ban anyone. Have fun making a fool of yourself.
No lie at all.
This is no personal agenda, and I need not get over myself.
My conscience is clear, and I swear on my family's sake that was I saw was true. I think it's a cowardly thing you're doing.
From your lips to our ears wolfie. I thought there was something odd about Roy and his incessant opposite opinion to everyone.
Nova had a bad game. 6 runs in 4 2/3.
Don't forget there is always the kid Bryan Mitchell who has had a better spring than either Nova or Sabathia.
Girardi mentioned Mitchell during todays game.
Stan, You mentioned Mitchell and he is getting the start tomorrow.
Big chance to make a statement for the kid.
What a lift for the team if Mitchell can develop the way WIN METHOD expected.
Let me beat a dead horse for a post and ask a question. Roy, do you think that over all these years, with all these posts at all times of the day, with many timed at the exact same minute, that just one, two, or three posters are doing all these posts all this time? That would be an inane idea on your part. You may deny it all you wish, but do not know what you are talking about and again you may deny it all you wish, you have embarrassed yourself many times. We have posts and views from hundreds of countries. Whine all you wish, but you are wrong.
Thank you johnsondc. Common sense prevails over nonsense. Love ya, WIN METHOD
We are only eight days from when baseball games count. Let go Yankees.
I don't think that at all. I saw a post from WimMethod's google account appear yesterday with the following text
"Roy, I am discussing dominant. You win enough games in a season to win the season and then win 15 of 19 season, that is dominant."
I immediately responded to it because it was clear that Winmethod had been using the Name/URL function to post under the Victor name.
After the page refreshed on my post, the post form Winmethod had disappeared. Minutes later, the same exact post reappeared under Victor's name.
Clearly Winmethod accidently posted from his google account without changing his name, realized he screwed up, deleted the post, and reposted under the Name/URL function. Not that difficult to do. None of this is a lie, I swear on all things holy this is all fact. It wouldn't be the first time WinMethod posted pretending to be some one else - look at an old comment on the "Manny Too?" post from a while back
Blogger WIN METHOD said...
brilliant stuff, i'm telling everyone i know about this site
Make it happen Mitchell.
Roy, you never give up being wrong. If all you say is what you want to believe, then why wouldn't WIN METHOD deleted the Manny page quote. That could be done any time since, but hasn't. Why, because it was his posting. Give us a break from your nonsense.
johnsondc
How am I supposed to know why he didn't delete it? It was years ago. Why was he posting pretending to be some one else in the first place?
I'm not gonna sit here and argue about it anymore with you though, it happened yesterday, I know what happened, I can't make you believe something happened if you don't want to.
I'm not on any personal vendetta to discredit anyone, and I'm certainly not going to make up lies to do so, everything I said happened exactly as I had said it did.
Is what it is, but the fact that it happened means WinMethod lost any and all credibility to me. I would respect it a lot more if he would own up to it.
Yanks up 1-0 after 1.
Mitchell with a very strong 1,2,3 first inning.
Mitchell with a 1,2,3 2nd. Stuff looks stellar. Another gem?
Wow! Mitchell has been strong. Ball is moving all over.
Roy, why do you think WIN METHOD was pretending. Could it be he did exactly what he intended to? You keep stating your view and think everyone should just accept them. Life doesn't work that way Roy.
Because he commented on his own post "brilliant stuff, i'm telling everyone i know about this site".
Pretty strange thing to say about your own website, If he did that purposely then he's the most egotistical person I've ever seen.
9th batter reaches on throwing error by Refsynder. Then Mitchell Ks next man for 3rd out. Mitchell has looked outstanding. If he can pitch like this consistently, start him and put Nova and CC in the bullpen. Mitchell has blown them both away this spring.
Mitchell looks like he found the key.
Mitchell gives up a well struck double off right center wall for first hit by Jays in the 4th with 2 out and then Ks next man for 3rd out.
1-0 Yankees after 4.
Roy, egotistical? maybe. The best baseball evaluater there is? for sure.
Mitchell done for the day. Four brilliant innings of total and utter command.
Thanks for all the info AAA. Great info.
johnsondc
So you don't, based on common sense, think that's an extremely strange thing to comment on one's own post?
Great point Roy, really driving your point home, I'm going to tell everyone I know about this post!
Swarzak in for Mitchell and gets hit hard. 3 of 4 batters with hits already.
Mitchell did his thing against the best lineup in purported best lineup in baseball. He got Joey rathole twice on popups.
Yanks down 2-1 after 5.
Would Girardi make a bold decision put Mitchell in the rotation?????????
No Roy, you just did and made a point didn't you.
That would be nice Deb. But who knows. I would love to give the kid a full out shot. He can't possibly do worse than Nova or CC right now.
Haha yeah I did that to showcase how bizarre of a thing it is to do.
Not that bizarre Roy. A good way to bring attention to ones self and/or make a point.
I agree Roy, pretty strange thing to do
Yanks take 3-2 lead after 6.
I agree Roy, you are strange.
Ahh good one will-I-am!! Got me good there. Well played.
3-3 after 7.
Final 4-3 Yankee win.
Nice effort today from several Yankee pitchers who likely will not make the roster. Mitchell was a standout and he will make the roster. As a starter?
Come on Joe G, give the 5th spot to Mitchell, he has earned it. Another WIN METHOD jewel blooming and growing.
Louie Louie, Tanaka, Pineda, Eovaldi, Mitchell. That sounds nice.
But, but, Mitchell does not end in a vowel.
Right jimbo, but he can pitch.
Happy Easter WIN METHOD fans.
Eovaldi listed to start tomorrow.
Eovaldi has quietly had a very solid spring training. All eyes seem to be on everyone else.
Young strong arms with good ball movement from so many Yankee kids. Use them and let them win.
Happy Easter everyone.
Girardi is the manager, there usually are reason that lead to the decisions made that none of us know about. He is trying to win. We play by his decisions. No matter what decision he makes, it is always the play on the field of the players that determine winning or losing.
Happy Easter!
Eovaldi has quietly gone through this spring, mostly unnoticed while pitching extremely well start after start. Whould be looking to extend his innings and pitch count today as the 162 game season is just a week away.
The Yankees will be facing former Yankee Phil Hughes today.
Yankees down 1-0 after 3.
1-1 after 5.
Yanks down 5-1 after 6.
Yanks coming to bat in 9th down 5-1.
Yanks go down 5-2.
Eovaldi was rock solid for five innings but appeared to weaken in the sixth and not helped by a couple of bad breaks.
NOTICE......This is a baseball blog. Posts not related to baseball or relevant to topic being discussed will be deleted. Also, foul language is an automatic deletion.
Thanks bigbadwolf. That's what makes this blog so great. Clean and neat. Yankee baseball at its best.
Foul posts do not belong on this blog. Great work by WIN METHOD and his people keeping it that way.
Luis Cessa listed to start tomorrow nights game.
It looks like Girardi may be trying to figure out his rotation to start the season.
Yeah, using Cessa as a spot filler to get to where he wants the rotation to be.
Lets get ready. Baseball season is just a week away.
Yankee opening day, one week from today.
As always, one game at a time, one win at a time.
Update WIN METHOD fans. We are continuing to get posts from people that will not be posted to this site. For those who are posting these posts for various reasons with links to different forums, you posts will not be visible to the WIN METHOD fans.
johnsondc
Are they not baseball related forums? You're post was sort of vague.
Besides the great information on this blog, the elimination of adds and garbage posts is fantastic.
WIN METHOD insight and information can be found on various sites all over the world. Many of those sites, forums, and blogs have different types of information on them. These have advertisements, popups, streaming videos, etc. WIN METHOD stated in the beginning the blog would have none of those things. Just read and state your opinion. No distractions. Anyone who wishes to go to any other site can do so freely. Sad to say most WIN METHOD followers who go to other forums usually get banned. I know of at least 40 posters here who have been banned by garbage moderators.
johnsondc
Can you provide a link to the other sites? Curious to see it.
The roster is close to being finalized.
Roy, absolutely not. That is what we are trying not to do.
Uh, okay. Thanks.
No score after 2.
Cessa goes 3 innings. 1 hit 1 walk 4 Ks 0 runs. 0-0 after 3.
Barbato in for the 4th.
0-0 after 4.
Chapman in for the 5th.
0-0 after 5.
Yankees down 2-0 after 6.
Yanks down 2-1 after 7.
So win method's actual name is Joe K.?
Yankees take 3-2 lead after 8.
Ackley with 2 out 2 on 2 rbi double for 3-2 lead after 8.
Final 3-2 win.
Theeeeeeeeee Yankeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees Winnnnnnnnn.
I would like to take a moment to congratulate joek and his WIN METHOD for leading the Yankees to a 13th consecutive playoff berth. Years ago joek proclaimed how great the Yankee minor league system was and how he was concentrating his signing efforts on great youn pitching talent. joek told us all that the fruition of his talent evaluation method was just around the corner and many a great pitching prospect would lie ahead. Again and again joek has been right in his proclamations and his facts. I know you have gone to better baseball forums joek, but again I would like to hail your abilities and give credit where credit is do. All hail joek and the WIN METHOD. The best is yet to come. - johnsondc
You're so loyal!
Man oh man that was so right. The Yankees may be right around the corner from a very solid string of seasons. the young pitching is astounding. WIN METHOD is the best at what he does.
ROFLMAO. My site has had over 24 millions documented visitors from over 200 countries.. I made my point here. You stat frauds can live in peace with your meaningless worthless individual stats. WINS AND WINNING have always, do now, and always will determine the best players in the game. -johnsondc
You're site huh?!? You taking command?
Great pitching again tonight.
We are 0ver 273 million now. Best baseball blog in the world.
Over 200 countries too?!?
You must be awfully bored with life Roy.
I'm at work Deb, so yeah, I am.
Any other snide remarks?
Many WIN METHOD have been out there spreading the word. I called in to the Mike Francesa show in NY. He got perturbed and wasn't able to explain why the best players won.
Some job Roy. Nice to visit blogs on the bosses dime.
Wow, you piece of trash.
I'm one of the hardest working CPAs in my firm, I've been here since 8 AM and am currently finishing a project before leaving for the day. I'm allowed to take a break.
Where do you get off making a comment like that without having any knowledge about what you're talking about.
Roy, your recent post, 8:54, 9:09, 9:18, 9:33, 9:36, 9:42, 9:49. Nice break. Thanks for the compliment. It meant something coming from you.
Roy, you may want to look for another place of employment.
Wow. You guys are sad taking personal attacks at a man's livelihood. On a baseball forum no less.
I didn't realize how low you guys were. You make the world a sad, sad place to live in.
Tanaka goes tomorrow and his effort may determine if he opens the season or not. Which either way is no big deal as far as I am concerned.
You brought up work Roy. So stop sniveling. At least I don't post from work.
And that gives you the right to say anything you want? You're an low-life degenerate who shouldn't be allowed near people and who probably has serious mental issues.
Bye.
Roy has hit the bottom of the barrel. Yankeeforever stated a couple of facts in evidence and Roy goes into a name calling tirade.
Girardi mentioned today that the decision on opening day starter has not been made yet.
The ball is in Tanakas hand to earn the start.
Lets go Yankees.
To use stat fraud speak, Roy is an outlier here.
That was a nice win last night coming from 2-0 behind late in game. Tex with a dinger cutting the lead in half and then Ackley with a 2 out 2 rbi double in the 8th for the win.
I'd take the Yankee pitching staff from top to bottom over anyone else.
Roy, you posted this. It is a post I made on a baseball site in a back and forth discussion. """"ROFLMAO. My site has had over 24 millions documented visitors from over 200 countries.. I made my point here. You stat frauds can live in peace with your meaningless worthless individual stats. WINS AND WINNING have always, do now, and always will determine the best players in the game. -johnsondc
You're site huh?!? You taking command?"""""
The comment you added was taken out of context, which can easily be expected from you. When I used ""my site"" I was referring to the site I was representing and the site I was speaking for.
Rain delay. Looking at radar and I do not think the game will be played.
Game has started in a steady rain.
Yanks lead 4-1 after 1. Tanaka was nothing special in 1st inning. Meanwhile, the Yankees have another game against the Pirates and lead 5-0 after 3. CC is starting this one and has thrown 3 scoreless innings so far.
Tanaka up 4-1 after 2.
CC goes four innings allowing 2 runs and leaves leading 5-2 after 4. Today surely helped his chances at 5 starter.
Tanaka does not look sharp and is getting hit, six hits thru 3 innings. Gets saved a run when third out thrown out at plate.
Tanaka up 4-1 after 3.
Both games in rain delay.
Tanaka one run thru four innings and CC two runs thru four innings. CC looked a little better.
No more Yankee baseball today. Rain.
First rain of the spring affecting Yankee games.
The Pirate game went five innings and was an official game. A 5-4 win. The Philly game went four innings and was called a rain out. A 7-1 lead.
Nova gets his chance tomorrow.
Nova could make Girardis decision very difficult with a big game tomorrow.
I have always believed that Girardi wanted CC in the rotation because he wanted a left hander in the rotation. As long as CC did not totally crash and burn he had the inside track. It is nice to know that Nova and Mitchell are available at a moments notice.
Haven't heard anything from negative Nellie after he made a fool of himself yesterday.
Nova will pitch against the Braves today. Needs a very strong effort.
Rather be a fool than such a hateful mean-spirited person Yankeeforever, keep the conversation on baseball.
Opening day is five days from today.
The truth shall set you free Roy. You started it all.
Five scoreless innings from Nova should do the trick.
Just do it Ivan. Let it loose.
No score after three innings.
0-0 after 4. Nova going great. 4 innings 0 runs 2 hits 1 walk. That is starting rotation stuff.
0-0 after 5. Nova has pitched 5 innings 0 runs 2 hits 1 walk. May be best outing of any Yankee pitcher so far this spring.
0-0 after 6.
Nova has over achieved and has been brilliant. Nova so far 6 innings 0 runs 2 hits 1 walk. I co not expect him to start the 7th.
Miller in to start 7th and first batter hits line drive back to Miller. Miller taken out of game. We don't need this crap.
Betances comes in for Miller and strikes out the side. 0-0 after 7.
Still no score after 7.
Miller was hit on right wrist. At least it wasn't his throwing arm. Lets hope he's OK.
Yanks take 2-0 lead after 8.
Theeeeeeeee Yankeeeeeeeeeeeeees Winnnnnnnnnn.
Final 2-0 win.
Now we have to hope for the best on Miller. Nova was brilliant and has earned the rotation spot in my opinion. But Girardi makes the call. At least he has options and backups.
Millers wrist injury appears to not be catastrophic but is going for xray and scan.
Say a little prayer for Miller and no matter what, we will overcome and move on.
Xray on Miller wrist, negative. Scan hasn't been done yet.
Mitchell also injured today. Sprained toe covering first base. When it rains it pours.
CT scan shows a small fracture in Millers wrist. Consulting a specialist.
Is there a chance of bracing and protecting it while he pitches?
If there is a way to do it safely and not cause further damage, it will be done.
