WIN METHOD - YANKEE BASEBALL
2025 SEASON - RACE TO THE PLAYOFFS
Perfect timing YANKEE fans. Here we are just a quarter into the 2025 season, just won a three game series from the Mets, and are leading the American League East Division by five games. A nice start to the season, and without our "ace" starter Gerrit Cole, who is out for the season after under going Tommy John surgery.
The good news from the 2024-2025 hot stove season is, no, make it great news, the YANKEES did not sign Juan Soto. 😊. The YANKEES and Brian Cashman had to go with Plan B. The result being, the YANKEES signed Max Fried, who has stepped right into the 'ace' position as starting pitcher. Signed Cory Bellinger, who has settled in as a left handed force in the lineup, as an everyday outfielder with spectacular defense. Signed Paul Goldschmidt who has been a gem offensively and defensively at first base. Allowed Jason 'Martian' Dominguez to be an everyday left fielder, who at 22 years of age, is still learning and developing as a hitter and outfielder and doing it at the Major League Baseball level.
Then there is Aaron Judge, there is nothing I can say that you all can't see for yourself, what Aaron Judge brings to this team and MLB baseball, both on and off the field, his character and his integrity. A true Most Valuable Player.
In other good news, the YANKEES have just had DJ LeMahieu return to the lineup after suffering several odd injuries which have kept DJ on the disabled list (DL), more on than off for over a year. Initial results, albeit just a few games have been positive. The on-going development of Will Warren, a young starting pitcher who has pitched his way onto the rotation and seems to be improving with each start, building confidence and acumen. Luis Gil, who suffered a high-grade lat strain in late February at spring training camp is on the mend, and we may see him join the starting rotation in late June. Jonathan Loaisiga has returned to the bullpen relief staff after a year on the disabled list with major elbow surgery. He has made three appearances so far, and has looked very dominant.
YANKEE youngsters, first baseman/catcher Ben Rice, and catcher Austin Wells are still blooming and growing, getting regular playing time at the MLB level while contributing to YANKEE wins. A sad note, Oswaldo Cabrera who had won the starting third base position, broke his ankle at home plate this past week, scoring a run. He will be out for at least three months, but should be back by September.
Once more, thank you WIN METHOD baseball fans. This blog will break two billion two hundred million views in a couple of weeks. That will happen because of your unwavering belief, viewership, and comments on this blog. You are the most knowledgeable and intelligent baseball fans in the world. You all know how to judge baseball talent using the WIN METHOD philosophy of producing when it counts and matters the most.
Let's all enjoy this season, the run to the playoffs, and beyond. The best is yet to come. LETS GO YANKEES, LETS GO.

1 – 200 of 305 Newer› Newest»By gosh, never know when a new post will pop up. Just wanted to say, I was so happy we took series from Mets. Do it again in June.
I think it will be a fun run to the playoffs.
Welcome back WIN METHOD. Love ya,
Vivas at bat in 8th last night was big. How many two strike foul balls did he hit before he put a ball in play that was the game winning at bat. The at bats after his got an insurance run and and a six run lead. Getting the lead was the key. Fried, another game with a no decision. He could easily have a couple more wins right now.
Aaaah! a peaceful night, back in action tomorrow. Another series to win.
OK guys, no letdowns after Met series. Pedal to the metal, win the Ranger series. Lets go.
It looks like rain may play a part in Wednesday and Thursday games at Stadium.

Glad to see Rice get into a game.
Rice with an upper deck Ballantyne Blast. Yankees lead 1-0 after two innings.
Yanks up 2-0 after 5.
Volpe rbi single for 3-0 lead thru six.
Warren has been amazing. His pitches move in every direction. Ten K's tonight.
Final. Yankees win 5-2. Warren 5 2/3 dominant shutout innings for the win. Leiter 1 1/3 shutout innings for a hold. Williams 1 shutout inning for a hold. Hamilton 2/3 innings allowing 2 run home run for a waste. Weaver 1/3 inning for the save. Rice solo HR and sacfly 2 rbi's. Goldschmidt rbi single, and Judge 2 run add on HR in 8th.
Rain in New York now, on and off, light to moderator, they will try to play tonight.

Lets go Yankees --- WIN METHOD baseball.
When it matters most rbi ground out by LeMahieu, 1-0 Yankees after two.
Yanks up 1-0 after 2.
Yarbrough goes five innings allowing one run and leaves game with a no decision. 1-1 after five.
Yankee bullpen falters. Hill and Hamilton each give up a solo HR in 7th. Bellinger answers with solo HR in bottom of 7th. Yankees trail 3-2.
Judge rbi single in 8th for 3-3 tie, going to 9th inning. Pull it out guys.
Dominguez when it matters most of the most walk-off home run for a 4-3 win.
Theeeeeeeeeeeeee Yankeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees Winnnnnnnnnnn 4-3 the Martian walk off game winning HR in bottom of ninth.
Final. Yankees win 4-3. You want to learn and understand the WIN METHOD and when it matters most production. Tonight's Yankee win clearly and without doubt defined the knowledge, integrity, and wisdom of the WIN METHOD philosophy identifying the best players and best teams in baseball.

Looking at NYC radar, should get game in. Playing for series sweep. Lets go Yankees.
Scoreless after two innings. Yanks have failed when it mattered most in both innings.
Vivas first MLB HR in fifth inning is first run of game. 1-0 Yankees.
Final. Yankees win 1-0. Rodon six innings for the win. Leiter 7th inning hold, Williams 8th inning hold, Weaver 9th inning save. Yankee pitchers gave up nothing. Vivas solo HR the game winning hit. Yanks sweep series with Rangers and fly to Denver to play a weekend series with the Rockies.
Theeeeeeeeeee Yankeeeeeeeeeeeeeees Winnnnnnnnnnnn, 1-0. Theeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Yankeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees Winnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn.
It wasn't easy, but it was a win. It was a nail biter, edge of your chair game. A game where every Yankee pitcher. Rodon 6 innings and Leiter, Williams and Weaver 1 inning each produced when it mattered most. 1-0 WIN.
Schmidt, Fried, Warren for Colorado weekend series.
If you think you are playing a team that can't beat you, you will get beat. If you think you can't lose, you will lose. Don't get bitten on the backside, play to hard with every pitch and with every at bat. Give no quarter, destroy the enemy or they will destroy you.
I hate assuming the Yankees have to win three games this weekend. But, how many runs will they score over the three games. 10, 20, 30, 40?

Judge single Goldschmidt triple 1-0 Yanks after one.
After Schmidt gives up the tying run in 4th all by himself, single, wild pitch, single, Judge gets it back in the 5th with a HR. 2-1.
Schmidt in fifth does it again, gives up 2 runs putting the Yankees down 3-2 after five. Pathetic game from Schmidt against the worst team in baseball.
Final. Yankees lose 3-2 to the worst team in baseball. Schmidt take the well deserved loss allowing all 3 runs in 4 2/3 innings of very poor pitching. Judge solo HR and Goldschmidt rbi triple Yankee runs. Yankee lineup was mesmerized by a very bad pitcher.

Two innings Yankees lead off with singles, followed immediately by double play grounders. Have four hits in two innings, but only lead 1-0 because of Judge HR.
1-1 after 4.
I hope everybody is happy now. Yankees with a 10 run fifth inning and an 11-1 lead.
Yankees win 13-1. Series even at one each. Rubber game tomorrow.
Final. Yankees win 13-1. Every starting position player had at least one hit. One big 10 run inning in the fifth for an 11-1 lead. Fried got his seventh win with no losses. Check the box score if you want or need more info.

Right handed lineup against RHP as Grisham get day off, about time. Lineup double digit runs again. Lets go Yankees.
How about some crooked number innings early this afternoon.
At least Boone is not RLRLRLRLR today.
2-2 after 3.
The Yankees just took a 4-2 lead in the top of the fifth, still batting and torrential rains hit, field covered with men on 2nd and 3rd and two outs.
Back in action. Loaisiga in for the fifth, 1,2,3. Yanks lead 4-2 after five.
Win or lose this game and the series, I have to say the Yankees offense had been pathetic this series. The worst team in baseball with the worst pitching staff have in essence stifled them.
Top of 8th Dominguez on second with one out, Volpe feebly strikes out on ball in dirt, then Escarra lines a two rbi single to right field to score a run when it matters most for a 5-3 lead. Still need six outs for the win.
Final. Yankees win 5-4 by the skin of their teeth to the worst team in baseball who gave the Yankees all they could handle.
Final. Yankees win 5-4. Warren goes four innings allowing 2 first inning runs and then dominant the next three innings. Then the storms arrived and shut down everything with the Yankees batting in the fifth and a 4-2 lead. After almost two hours the game resumed. Loaisiga in for the the fifth and went 1 2/3 innings allowing 1 run. Leiter went 1 1/3 scoreless innings for a hold . The Yankees led 4-3 after seven innings. The Yankees added an insurance run in the 8th on an Escarra two out when it matters most rbi single for a 5-3 lead. Williams pitched a scoreless 8th. for a hold. Weaver in for the ninth really struggled, first batter solo HR, score 5-4. A single, an out, another single, another out, and then a comeback roller to end the game, earning the save. The Yankees won the series, which is all that matters, however, aesthetically they looked terrible doing it. Glad to get on a plane to Los Angeles.
It's bad enough playing edge of your seat games against good teams, but when you play them against maybe the worst team in baseball history, that is not good.
Three night games with the Angels starting tomorrow.

Three innings complete, Yankees bats nine up nine down. Nothing, nada, nil. Trail 1-0. TIME TO WAKE UP AND GET GOING.
Thank you yankeefan2, your yelling woke them up. After nine straight outs the first four batters in the 4th reached base and Yanks scored 4 runs to take the lead.
Final. Yankees win 5-1. A four run fourth inning did the trick after going 3 up 3 down over the first three innings. Yarbrough goes six innings allowing the only Angel run of the game on a leadoff HR in the first inning. Volpe the big hit of the game a bases loaded 3 rbi double. De Los Santos 1 1/3, Leiter 2/3, and Weaver 1 inning shutout ball to close out the game.

Yanks lead 1-0 thru five innings on Rice home run. Rodon has been solid. A crooked number inning for Yankees would help.
Seven strong solid in control innings from Rodon and leaves leading 3-0.
Theeeeeeeeeeeeeee Yankeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees Winnnnnnnnn 3-2.
Final. Yankees win 3-2. Rice and Peraza each with a solo HR, and Volpe rbi single. Rodon with a brilliant seven shutout innings for the win. Loaisiga a 123 8th for the hold. And then there was Williams who did everything he could to blow the game allowing 2 runs in the 9th and was pretty pathetic again, but he got the last out and earned a putrid save (PS). The win clinches this series and Yanks play for a sweep tomorrow.
Yanks with a 3-2 win after leading 3-0 going into the bottom of 9th. Williams almost blew another close out.
Yanks win 3-2 to take first two games of this series and play for a sweep tomorrow.

Schmidt with a top effort should do the trick. A few more runs from the lineup would also help.
Score first, score often, and produce when it matters most. Lets go Yankees.
Yankees lead 1-0 after first two innings, but have left the bases loaded in each inning. Failed production when it would have counted big time. Come on guys.
Yanks up 1-0 after 2.
Schmidt goes six scoreless innings and leaves game with Yankees up 1-0. Need nine outs from the bullpen. Or several runs from the hitters would be nice.
Yanks up 1-0 after 6.
Final. Yankees win 1-0. Volpe sacrifice fly in first inning the only run of the game. Schmidt six innings for the win. Hamilton 1 2/3 innings and a hold, Hill 1/3 inning for the hold, and Leiter the ninth inning for the save. Nothing else happened except for the Volpe sacfly, no one for either team produced when in mattered most for the entire game.
Heck, it wasn't pretty, as an offensive game it was sad. You could say it was a well-pitched game, but that would be subjective. Only thing that matters is the Yankees won 1-0.
Yanks edge Angels 1-0 to sweep series. Off day tomorrow. The the Dodgers in LA over the weekend. Hope the bats come alive with the sound of hard hit base hits.
Both Chisholm and Stanton are due back in June. Would mean roster moves.
Any Judge who tries to over-rule an order from the President of the USA should be defrocked, banned, and then the ultimate sacrificed.

Judge first inning HR. Ohtani first inning HR. 1-1
Judge, Wells, Goldschmidt solo home runs and Grisham two run home run for a 5-2 Yankee lead after three innings.
Yanks up 5-2 after 4.
Fried cracks is sixth, gets battered and bruised allowing four runs. Yankees now down 6-5 after six.
Yankee bullpen crashes in 7th, down 8-5. Dodgers producing when it matters most.
Final. Yankees lose 8-5. Fried got hit hard and takes his first loss of the season. Yankees scored 4 runs in first three innings, all on home runs, 3 solo and 1 with a man on. Nothing for the last six innings, never producing once when in mattered most. Dodgers to 2 runs on solo home runs but scored 6 runs producing singles and doubles when it mattered most for the win.
After the first couple of innings, I had high hopes, but everything turned sour for the Yankees as the World Champion Dodgers showed why they are the best. A disappointing loss to say the least.
It was like I was reliving the final game of the WS tonight. UGH!
It was likely overdue because no one wins every game, but I had a feeling about Fried yesterday and didn't want to post it and being a jinx. I just hope it was only a bad game and not doing poorly because of pressure.

Yankees score one in first on Dominquez rbi single, but Wells grounds out with the bags full.
Rice two run home run in third gives Yanks 3-1 lead.
Yanks up 4-1 after 4.
Yanks up 6-1 after 5.
I think Yarbrough is done for tonight. Went six in charge innings allowing one run and leaves with a 6-1 lead.
Loaisiga in for the 7th, need three innings from the bullpen.
Loaisiga works the 7th but gives up 2 home runs. Yankees lead cut to 6-3. Not what you want from the pen.
Williams with a 1,2,3 8th. 6-3 lead after 8.
Williams does his job. Three up three down. One more inning.
LeMahieu with his 4th hit of the night an rbi double for a 9th inning insurance run and a 7-3 lead.
Hill in to try to close it out. Hill does it. 1,2,3. Game over 7-3 win. Yarbrough earns the win with a fantastic pitched game when it mattered most.
Theeeeeeeeeeeeee Yankeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees Winnnnnnnnn 7-3. Big win.
Final. Yankees win 7-3. Yarbrough goes six brilliant innings allowing one run for the win. Loaisiga pitched the 7th and coughed up 2 solo home runs in a poor effort. Williams a shutout 8th 1,2,3 for a hold. Hill a 1,2,3 closes it out. Rice 2 run HR and 2 rbis. LeMahieu 4 hits and 2 rbis with a big game when it mattered. Every Yankee starter had a hit except Judge. Peraza and Dominguez each had an rbi when it mattered most. Yanks fly home happy.
After the first two games and getting hammered by the Dodgers, Yankee fans should be feeling pretty good about the way they played tonight. Yarbrough did everything he needed to do and the batters produced a lot of scoring opportunities and produced when it mattered most enough times to earn the win.
Winning one of three games is better than losing all three. Good win tonight to close out the western trip.

Theeeeeeeeeeeeee Yankeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees Winnnnnnnnn 3-2. Never trailed but to close for comfort.
Final. Yankees win 3-2. Rodon goes seven fine innings for the win. Gave up just one run. Leiter with a shutout eighth for a hold. Williams with a nerve racking ninth, giving up a run, but earns the save. Yankee runs, all when they mattered most for the win. LeMahieu two out rbi single for the first run. Yankee bats anemic for six innings, down 3-0, and have just 3 hits.
Final. Yanks lose 4-0 and never in it. The Yanks were shooting blanks all night.

Nice lineup.
First hit in game for Yankees didn't come until the 4th inning, it was followed by their second hit, a 2 run HR by Bellinger for a 2-0 lead after 4.
Yankees load bases with no one out in fifth and fail to score. Not what you want and just keep the other team in the game.

Final. Yankees win 9-6. Warren goes 5 1/3 allowing 4 runs and earns the win. Four Yankee relievers go 3 2/3 with Williams closing it out easily in ninth for a save. Chisholm 3 run HR, Volpe 2 run HR, Goldschmidt solo HR do the heavy lifting.
Theeeeeeeeeeeeee Yankeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees Winnnnnnnnnnn, 9-6.
Scored early, kept adding runs, a pretty easy 9-6 win.
Yarbrough starts tonight's second game of the series with the sux. A Yankee win takes the series.
Wells with a 3 run Ballantyne blast in second for a 3-1 lead.
Wild game in the Bronx. Yarbrough getting hammered, allowing 8 runs in 4 innings. Yankees fighting back, and down 8-5 after four.

One major change I would make in lineup, Dominguez in Grisham out.
Game time fans, time for a win.
Yankees sleepwalking, 2-2 mid fifth.
Rodon blows up in 4th and 5th, allowing 2 run and 3 run home runs. Leaves with Yankees down 5-3.
Yanks down 7-5 after 6.
Yankees in trouble, bottom of ninth and trail 11-5.
Final. Yankees lose 11-7. Rodon takes the loss as he and the bullpen get humiliated. Judge two 2 run home runs and LeMahieu a 3 run home run for all the Yankee runs.
Yankees lose series to sux and did not play very good baseball.
Off day today. Play the Royals three games in Kansas City, then onto Boston for three games on the weekend with the sux.

Lets go Yankees, start off on the right foot.
Seem like left-handers the Yankees haven't seem give them much trouble scoring runs.
Judge first inning over 500 foot two run home run.
Wells three run HR in 4th for a 5-1 Yankee lead.
Fried goes seven giving up 2 runs and leaves leading 10-2.
Final. Yankees win 10-2. Fried seven innings, 2 runs, in command, earns the win, his ninth of the season. De Los Santos one and two-thirds sloppy innings, Hill in for final out. Yankees runs Judge 2 run HR in first inning, Wells 3 run HR in fourth inning, then a 5 run fifth inning, Wells 2 rbi double, Grisham, Judge, Bellinger each with a rbi single. No tension win.
