WIN METHOD --- 2023 SEASON -- FINAL RUN TO THE PLAYOFFS WHERE ONLY THE BEST TEAMS AND BEST PLAYERS PLAY
Less than half the season to play. So much to be decided. Many teams vying for playoff positions in each league. Three divisions in each league, each division winner makes the playoffs and then the next three teams with the best win/loss records also make the playoffs. Only WINS determines which teams go to the playoffs. WINS are the only statistic which determines the best teams and the best players.
The YANKEES are one of the teams in the chase at this point in the season. The YANKEES, the team with the most player time lost to injuries, by a very large margin, over any other team in MLB. No question, every team has player injuries and loses players for periods of time, but no other team has had as many players injured and missed games as the YANKEES.
What are the YANKEE chances of making the playoffs with about seventy games yet to play? We will find out over the two and a half months. If some of the key injured players can return and contribute, that would make a difference. As with every team, it will be determined only by WINS. I believe if the YANKEES make the playoffs, will have a very good chance at advancing through the playoffs and winning the WORLD SERIES. I bet none of the teams vying for the playoffs are giving up, the players on those teams are not giving up, and the WIN METHOD YANKEE fans are not giving up, because when you give up, you give yourself no chance at all. It has been said many times, by many posters, the YANKEES will play over, under, around and thru any and all obstacles and roadblocks thrown in front of them.
It has been great to see YANKEE STADIUM filled with fans each game during this season, games have always been pretty nor turned out well for YANKEE fans and more so for the team. Don't give up, with enough WINS the YANKEES can still make the playoffs. If they do. watch out for them in the playoffs. Stay positive and say it often LETS GO YANKEES.
I would like to express by sincere thanks for all you fans who read and post here on the WIN METHOD blog. You all have made it the greatest forum, blog, or site for YANKEE fans in the world. In just several days this blog will reach over one billion six hundred million views. Thank you all for being the greatest fans and most knowledgeable fans in the world.
WIN METHOD, thanks. "Never give up" by Jim Valvano. If you are not positive, you are negative. Lets go Yankees.
ReplyDeleteWIN METHOD, good to hear from you. Love ya,
ReplyDeleteIf Judge is not back soon, it will be a tough road ahead.
ReplyDeleteGlen Corbet, you are likely correct, but if Rodon and Cortes produce from here onwards that would help. Then there is always the player acquisition as a possibility.
ReplyDeleteAll any team can do is play with what they have and do the best they can. First step is the 162 game season and getting to the playoffs. Second step is getting to the world series. Third step is winning the world series. Only 12 of 30 teams get to the playoffs and only 2 of the 12 get to the world series. In the end, the best team and players win the world series.
ReplyDeleteYou never know, maybe the Yanks will get some happenings that go their way for the rest of the season.
ReplyDeleteWIN METHOD, is your ability to find 'WIN METHOD' players failing, are you failing? What blame do you take in the Yankee failures for over a decade?
ReplyDeleteDo we have a stat fraud visitor?
ReplyDeleteCody Hoefert, You asked three questions and the answer to each question is no. Finding qualified WIN METHOD players is reasonably easy for me, since I have been doing it several decades. 'Blame' is a nefarious word. While some people look for someone to 'blame', may only be a change in decision, a shift in operational goals or as simple as outlook. With the WIN METHOD system I developed after talking to countless baseball people in every facet of baseball, particularly players, I found a method that evaluates a players desire, character, goals, and aptitude regarding playing baseball.
ReplyDeleteAfter Mr, S passed away (George Steinbrenner), the Yankees underwent a change in baseball philosophy, that, in my opinion hurt the Yankees competitively. The YANKEES remain a top team, one of the best teams, however, as of today they have not shown to be one of the best of the best teams.
WIN METHOD, good post. That is pretty much what I thought, along with the constant wrath of severe injuries.
ReplyDeleteFinally announced. Yankee starters in Colorado for weekend series. Rodon, Schmidt, Cole.
ReplyDeleteHow about this....if Judge, Rodon, and Cortes are all in the lineup in the first week of August, the Yankees will make the playoffs and could win the division.
ReplyDeleteWIN METHOD rules, those who object are fools.
ReplyDeleteI do not accept WIN METHODS reply to my questions. I do not believe him.
ReplyDeleteCody Hoefert, I don't care what you think, believe, or post. You do not have to accept the WIN METHOD. See ya.
ReplyDeleteBack to baseball and the final run to the playoffs. The Yankees need to step up their game. It is not how hard you hit the ball, it is hitting the ball where the defense ain't. A combination of small and long ball when it matters most will carry the day. Three game series in Colorado starts Yankees final run.
ReplyDeleteAnyone who votes for any, radical leftwing, liberal, progressive, or democrat for any office in any election in America is literally a brain dead fool, easily duped, a criminal, is corrupt, hates America.
ReplyDeleteIt would behoove the Yankees to not win each series, but to also sweep several of them.
ReplyDeleteTodays Yankee lineup.

Guy, the old-timers here probably know what it means. Here is a hint for the younger posters and those who don't. The letters are the first letter of each word. The first two words are -- if --you.
ReplyDeleteI cheated and googled it.
ReplyDeleteTime to put the pedal to the metal. Lets go Yankees.
ReplyDeleteAfter Stanton gets Yanks off quickly with a 2 run first inning HR, Rodon gives up 3 runs in second inning putting yanks behind 3-2.
ReplyDeleteYanks down 3-2 after 3.
ReplyDeleteFive ciomplete. Rodon goes five innings and leaves trailing 4-2. 88 pitches. One lousy inning.
ReplyDeleteFinal. Yankees lose 7-2. Yankees score two runs by their first two batters of the game. Torres single and Stanton home run. Twenty-seven out later that is the only runs to put on the board. Rodon goes five innings and allows 4 runs for the loss. King two innings giving up 2 runs and Abreu one inning allowing 1 run. As bad a start to the final run to the playoffs as there could be.
ReplyDeleteSadly disappointing to say the least.
ReplyDeleteAfter one game the Yankees have dug another hole and have to play from behind.
ReplyDeletePlaying from behind is not good. Not hitting and not pitching well is worse.
ReplyDeleteThe Yankees can't just keep losing games. Eventually they will lose themselves out of the playoffs.
ReplyDeleteSchmidt starts tonight. Cole tomorrow. So Cole threw nine pitches on Tuesday night and gets full four days of rest until he starts tomorrow. Sad.
ReplyDeleteTodays Yankee lineup.
ReplyDeleteClarke Schmidt (R)
1. Gleyber Torres (R) 2B
2. Giancarlo Stanton (R) RF
3. Anthony Rizzo (L) 1B
4. Josh Donaldson (R) DH
5. DJ LeMahieu (R) 3B
6. Billy McKinney (L) LF
7. Harrison Bader (R) CF
8. Anthony Volpe (R) SS
9. Kyle Higashioka (R) C
There is nothing I have already said. ☹️
Re tonight's lineup.
ReplyDelete.147 cleanup batter. How embarrassing, especially this late in the season.
The thing is I honestly wonder if Cashman or Hal are embarrassed? Hal doesn't know baseball, and Cashman is delusional. No wonder the WIN METHOD isn't getting any traction.
When a manager adheres to a decision over and over, and the decision fails over and over, there is something not right in Denmark.
ReplyDeleteYankees score first again, Torres triple, Stanton RBI ground out. Then Schmidt HBP first batter, two ground outs move the runner to third base, but Schmidt balks the run in. What is wrong with these guys.
ReplyDeleteYankees with a 5 run second inning, Higgy sac fly, Torres rbi single, Stanton 3 run HR for a 6-1 lead.
ReplyDeleteYanks up 6-1 after 4.
ReplyDeleteFinal. Yankees win 6-3. Schmidt goes six innings and gives up 2 runs. Peralta a scoreless seventh. Kahnle allows 1 run in the eighth, and Holmes a scoreless ninth and earns the save. Yankees scored 1 run in the first and 5 in the second and no more for the rest of the night. Big hit of game Stanton 3 run HR in second inning. Yankees will play for the series win tomorrow with Cole starting.
ReplyDeleteSchmidt looked good tonight. Having a 5 run lead in the 2nd inning has to help somewhat.
ReplyDeleteYankees may have caught a break tonight. Donaldson after his 4th 0-4 at bat hobbled off the field.
ReplyDeleteGood news on Donaldson. Re-injured right calf and headed to the DL. If he ever plays another game in a Yankee uniform that would be a travesty. Let him go, let him go.
ReplyDeletePeraza called up from AAA. The Yankee have just improved their lineup and team and it took an injury to do it, and sadly not an organizational decision that 90+% of Yankee fans already knew. Good-bye forever Josh Donaldson, let it be, let it be.
ReplyDeleteLets go Yankees.
ReplyDeleteTodays Yankee lineup.
ReplyDeleteGerrit Cole (R)
1. Gleyber Torres (R) 2B
2. Giancarlo Stanton (R) DH
3. Anthony Rizzo (L) 1B
4. DJ LeMahieu (R) 3B
5. Harrison Bader (R) CF
6. Isiah Kiner-Falefa (R) LF
7. Anthony Volpe (R) SS
8. Oswaldo Cabrera (S) RF
9. Jose Trevino (R) C
Donaldson not in lineup, placed on DL. Lineup better no matter who replace Donaldson.. Sadly, it took and injury to get him out of the lineup and not an intelligent decision by the manager. Lets go Yankees.
Finally, 3 run 6th inning gives Yankees 3-1 lead mid 6th.
ReplyDeleteKahnle and Holmes blow Yankee 3-1 lead in bottom of eighth as Kahnle loads the bases and Holmes gives up a grand slam and the Yankees are down 5-3.
ReplyDeleteYankees score 2 in the 9th to tie game 5-5.
ReplyDelete5-5 after nine. Little league baseball time.
ReplyDeleteNo score in 10th, on to the 11th.
ReplyDeleteCabrera and Peraza both with rbi singles in 11th for 7-5 lead. Peraza has just done more in one game than Donaldson did for the entire season when it mattered most. Now to hold the lead? and win the game?
ReplyDeleteNever mind. Ramirez gives up 2 run HR to first batter. Game tied 7-7. Marinaccio in with 2 outs an no one on and gives up HR to first batter. Yankees lose 8-7. Boone loses another as every pitching move he made failed.
ReplyDeleteWhat a disaster, nightmare, disappointment, failure all in one today's game was.
ReplyDeleteTook time out to cool off. Final. Yankees lose 8-7 in eleven innings. A tragic loss, one of many this season. In my opinion, one heck of a case of managerial dysfuction. I know the game is decided on the field by the performance of the players, but the manager has sole discretion
ReplyDeleteon what players he wants on the field at any point in the game, predominantly pitchers. Boone's pitching decisions confound me. Everything was fine for 7 2/3 innings, but with 2 outs in the 8th inning his decisions, lets be kind, were not based on sense. The result was a loss. Read about it and you decide for yourselves.
Well that sucked. πΏ
ReplyDeletePerhaps or maybe could it be Boone’s uncanny handling of the pitching staff coupled with Cashman’s brutally bad roster.
ReplyDeleteWhy bring in Ramirez when you had Marinaccio? He has been effective all year against both lefty and righty batters. I mean that has to be Boone’s last game. His managing was comical.
ReplyDeleteToday's Yankee game is a game that will live in infamy. Yankee fans will not forget.
ReplyDeleteNot a good way to start the final run. Losing a series to a losing team. Each loss makes the playoffs further away.
ReplyDeleteNext up, three games with the Angels in Anaheim. Louie Louie, German, and Rodon.
ReplyDeleteThis afternoon's game was a downer for me in many ways.
Another first for the Yankees today, and yes, another negative.
ReplyDeleteToday's game was the 1st loss in Yankees history where they had multiple leads of 2+ runs in the 8th inning or later. We were there and we suffered thru it.
Yesterday is history, today starts the future. Move forward. Would a new manager help? Would a new GM help? Would a new owner help?
ReplyDeleteI hope to see Peraza's name in the lineup at least four out of every five games. If Boone was dumb enough to play Donaldson every chance he got, then he should be smarter enough to play Peraza.
ReplyDeleteTodays Yankee lineup.
ReplyDeleteLuis Severino R
Oswald Peraza (R) 3B
Giancarlo Stanton (R) DH
Gleyber Torres (R) 2B
Anthony Rizzo (L) 1B
Harrison Bader (R) CF
Anthony Volpe (R) SS
Isiah Kiner-Falefa (R) LF
Oswaldo Cabrera (S) RF
Jose Trevino (R) C
Peraza is very good, but we lose LeMahieu. Can't complain, Torres has been hot. Could have given Volpe off, Peraza a SS and Lemahie 3B. That should be an option down the road.
Can only hope I never see the Donaldson name in the Yankee lineup ever again.
ReplyDeleteZip zip thru three.
ReplyDeleteCabrera when it matters most, two out bases loaded 2 rbi ground rule double for first runs of game in sixth inning and a 2-0 Yankeed lead.
ReplyDeleteLouie Louie comes out for the sixth inning, and in my opinion he has very little left in the tank after how he had to pitch the fifth inning under extreme pressure. Finishes the inning but does give up a HR. 2-1 Yankees.
ReplyDeleteSeventh inning, Peraza lead off walk, steals second, goes to third on wild pitch, scores on sacfly to give Yankees back a 2 run lead at 3-1. King pitches the bottom on seventh and gives up 2 run home run for a 3-3 tie. Deja vu all over again.
ReplyDeleteExtra innings tied at 3.
ReplyDeleteFinal. Yankees lose 4-3 in ten innings. Repeat of yesterday. Bullpen blows another one. Bright spot, Peraza came to bat five times, walked four times and a single. Reached base five times. I don't believe Donaldson reached base that many times in any series he played in. Ramirez takes the loss. Louie Louie went six innings giving up just one run.
ReplyDeleteIt just keeps getting worse each game.
ReplyDeleteWouldn't it be funny it the Yankees have the last laugh this season and win the World Series!
ReplyDeleteTwo little league extra inning losses in a row. Lose a game on a run scored by a runner placed on base that didn't earn getting on base. In reality MLB has committed blasphemy. The older baseball fans are slowly dying off and the game is now played for young and dumb.
ReplyDeleteAnother day and the joe-bama/commie MALADY administration still exists and continues to destroy America and the American people.
ReplyDeletePlaying another series from a hole again. German tonight to try to even series and give team a chance to win it.
ReplyDeletePeraza did look good last night and appeared to be a bit more polished than Volpe. It was just one game.
ReplyDeleteTodays Yankee lineup.
ReplyDeleteDomingo German R
Oswald Peraza (R) 3B
Gleyber Torres (R) 2B
Giancarlo Stanton (R) RF
Anthony Rizzo (L) DH
DJ LeMahieu (R) 1B
Harrison Bader (R) CF
Isiah Kiner-Falefa (R) LF
Kyle Higashioka (R) C
Anthony Volpe (R) SS
Need a win by hook or crook.
Do what you can do for your team, not what you can do for yourself.
ReplyDeleteYanks down 2-0 after 2.
ReplyDeleteGerman off tonite. Has Yankees down 5-1 thru five innings.
ReplyDeleteYankees down 5-1 thru seven innings and have just one hit, a solo HR from Torres.
ReplyDeleteYankees embarrassed again. Lose to Angels 5-2. Get just two hits. And lose second series on this three series road trip.
ReplyDeleteFinal. Yankees lose 5-1. German takes the loss going six innings and allowing all five Angel runs. Torres, solo HR for only Yankee run.
ReplyDeleteRodon starts in the finale in Anaheim, in the state of despair.
ReplyDeleteEveryday things seem to get worse. There is still time, but nothing good is happening.
ReplyDeleteTeena/exBronx, I think you are talking about the Yankees, but the exact same thing and maybe worse could be said about our country.
ReplyDeleteTodays Yankee lineup.
ReplyDeleteCarlos Rodon L
Oswald Peraza (R) 3B
Gleyber Torres (R) 2B
Giancarlo Stanton (R) DH
DJ LeMahieu (R) 1B
Anthony Volpe (R) SS
Franchy Cordero (L) RF
Harrison Bader (R) CF
Kyle Higashioka (R) C
Oswaldo Cabrera (S) LF
Hi ho hi ho, Franchy is in lineup. ⬇️π⬇️
You would think Rodon should be rounding into form now making his third MLB start after a couple of starts in the minors.
ReplyDeleteRodon rounding into form? So far two innings, giving up a 2 run HR in each inning. Yanks trail 4-0.π£π£
ReplyDeleteRodon on a roll. Gives up 2 more runs in the third. No HR this time. Down 6-0.
ReplyDeleteI am going bleary eyed watching so many swings and misses by Yankee batters.
ReplyDeleteYankees get swept. Lose 7-3. Never in game. Yankee lineup struck out 16 times. Sad times.
ReplyDeleteFinal. Yankees lose 7-3. Rodon gives up all 7 runs, looked terrible and Yankees struck out 16 times of the 27 outs. Peraza has failed to make contact and put a ball in play 3 times in 14 plate appearances. How low can we go.
ReplyDeleteGood news WIN METHOD fans, you have just taken the WIN METHOD blog over the one billion six hundred million mark for views. The number one Yankee baseball blog, forum, site, message board in the world.
ReplyDeleteBeing positive likely helps with viewers. All the other sites are negative, constantly trash management and players every chance they get. And they do it with venom and disdain. When we knock people here, we try to have fun with it. That does make a difference.
ReplyDeleteNext up a three game weekend series in KC.
ReplyDeleteOff day today for Yankees, it looks like they have had an off day for the past week.
ReplyDeleteWIN METHOD is the best Yankee board in existence.
Not going to lose today. I wonder what everyone on the team is thinking and what they think the team can do about the funk they are in. Throw in the quality of their play also.
ReplyDeleteSchmidt, Cole. Louie Louie starters in KC.
ReplyDeleteTime is running out, need to win series after series.
ReplyDeleteRLA, need to sweep some series also. Wins and only wins determine who will go to the playoffs.
ReplyDeleteI errrrrrrred. This weekends games are at Yankee Stadium, NOT Kansas City.
ReplyDeleteNo rush to judgement here, because they are as guilty beyond any reasonable doubt. Have they executed the Biden family yet?
ReplyDeleteTrevino placed on the DL with a right wrist tear, will have surgery and likely out for season. Rortvedt brought up from AAA. A left handed bat that should have been here all along.
ReplyDeleteTodays Yankee lineup.
ReplyDeleteClarke Schmdt R
Oswald Peraza (R) 2B
Anthony Rizzo (L) 1B
Gleyber Torres (R) DH
Giancarlo Stanton (R) RF
Franchy Cordero (L) LF
DJ LeMahieu (R) 3B
Anthony Volpe (R) SS
Billy McKinney (L) CF
Kyle Higashioka (R) C
We have left handed hitting catcher, but he is not starting against a right handed pitcher -- I wonder why? And I wonder who decided not to play him?
Is this team even capable of playing .700 ball for a month?
ReplyDeleteYanks up 1-0 after 3.
ReplyDeleteSchmidt gives up 3 run HR in top of 4th putting Yankees down 3-1. McKinney hits 3 run HR in bottom of 4th for a 4-3 lead after four innings.
ReplyDelete5-3 Yankees after six.
ReplyDeleteFinal. Yankees win 5-4. It wasn't pretty but it was a win. Schmidt goes 5 2/3 giving up 3 runs for the win. Peralta 2/3 inning for a hold, King 2/3 inning for a hold, Kahnle 1 inning giving up a run but gets a hold. Holmes finishes it up for the save. McKinney, Yankees star of game with 2 great defensive plays in center field and a 3 run HR. Torres and Cordero each a solo HR.
ReplyDeleteYanks got 5 hits, of which 3 were HRs. KC had 9 hits, of which 2 were HRs.
ReplyDeleteCole tomorrow, and Louie Louie Sunday.
ReplyDeleteTodays Yankee lineup.
ReplyDeleteGerritt Cole R
Billy McKinney (L) CF
Gleyber Torres (R) 2B
Anthony Rizzo (L) 1B
Giancarlo Stanton (R) DH
Franchy Cordero (L) RF
DJ LeMahieu (R) 3B
Oswaldo Cabrera (S) LF
Ben Rortvedt (L) C
Anthony Volpe (R) SS
Five left handed bats in lineup. Rortvedt plays. Hope he produces and make it more stupider of Boone not to play him more and more.
Looking for win number 2 in a row. Of how many more? 3 - 5 - 8 - 10 - 12 - more?
ReplyDeleteYanks up 1-0 after 2.
ReplyDeleteStanton two run home run in eighth for insurance runs and a 5-2 lead.
ReplyDeleteFinal. Yankees win 5-3. Cole goes 6 1/3 giving up both KC runs and earns a no decision. Peralta 2/3 inning and earns the win. Kahnle scoreless 8th and a hold. Holmes a scoreless 9th and a save. Stanton a rbi single and a 2 run HR. Lemahieu a solo HR, and Torres rbi single for the Yankee runs. Cole was Cole, throwing far to many pitches, 99. Chance for a sweep tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteJOE BIDEN IS A CORUPT OLD FOOL
ReplyDeleteStory by Brandon Weichert July 22, 2023
Joe Biden’s Fingerprints All Over Hunter’s Schemes - Joe Biden epitomizes everything that is wrong with America’s political class.
A low-brow, gladhanding—and creepily neck massaging—politico who spent his entire career climbing the ladder and greasing the skids to ascend to the top of the upside-down kingdom.
He’s got a blistering white smile, bushy hair plugs, he speaks in nonsensical bromides, but he’s as corrupt as one of the villainous mayors of The Batman comic books.
Point in fact, Joe Biden is the kind of politician that prompted the brilliant billionaire, Donald J. Trump, to run for president in the first place—which is exactly what Trump said to Biden during one of their more contentious debates in 2020. Unfortunately, the American people believed the Trump conspiracy lies from the DOJ and FBI, who are Biden's coconspirators.
Yet some people are also corrupt, so they think nothing of voting for corruption. Then there are also the bought and paid for unions that are part and parcel showing the way to destroy American morality and work ethic.
ReplyDeleteCan Louie Louie give us a sweep? Wins, only wins.
ReplyDelete5-2 looks like a nice win, but it was 3-2 until Stanton finally ran into one for the 2 run homer. It was on an 0-2 pitch and the pitcher made a huge blunder. Then the Royals did bring the tying run to bat in the ninth. In other words, the win was tougher and closer than the score would indicate.
ReplyDeleteWe need the sweep today, we need wins. If you believe you can -- then you can. If you believe you can't -- then you won't.
ReplyDeleteGreg Allen and Jake Bauers off the DL and on Yankee roster starting today, Cabrera and Cordero down to AAA.
ReplyDeletePlus plus.

Harrison Bader (R) CF
Billy McKinney (L) LF
Oswald Peraza (R) SS
Kyle Higashioka (R) C
Without a doubt Rortvedt should be catching, but then and again that would be a smart decision.
Yankees put four first inning runs on the scoreboard for a 4-0 early lead.
ReplyDeleteYanks up 5-0 after 3.
ReplyDeleteLouie Louie goes 5 2/3 innings and leaves game with a 5-3 lead. So so effort, but a winning one if Yankee bullpen does not falter.
ReplyDeleteYankees win 8-5. Sweep series.
ReplyDeleteFinal. Yankees win 8-5 sweeping the three game series. Louie Louie goes 5 2/3 innings allowing 3 runs, and earns the win. Hamilton goes 1 1/3 and King 1inning of scoreless ball and each earns a hold. Marinaccio pitches the 9th, bives up 2 home runs, closes the game with no save and earns a higher ERA. Yankees scored 4 first inning runs, 2 on a Torres HR, 1 on a Rizzo double and 1 on a Bader single. Rizzo solo HR in 3rd put the Yankees up 5-0. Yankees scored 3 in 8th inning, 1 on Peraza single, 1 on Higashioka sac fly and 1 on throwing error for insurance runs which made the 9th inning tolerable considering Marinaccio allowed 2 home runs. Off day tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteToday was 3rd win in a row. Looking for number 4.
ReplyDeleteNext up two game series with Mets after tomorrows off day.
ReplyDeleteGerman and Rodon have been named starters for the two game series against the Mets.
ReplyDeleteWilsonsway, that was a great article you posted. Biden has been a sleaze ball all his life. A liar, a cheat, a fake, a fraud. Now he added the ultimate deed to his resume, a traitor who sold out his country. Think about this folks, everything Biden did his entire life met checked all boxes meeting the radical leftwing, liberal democrat qualifications to rise to where he is now. It is a disgrace on the head of every voter who votes for these garbage politicians.
ReplyDeleteWoody, still trying to figure out if Biden is a) a dithering idiot with dementia as has been claimed or b) a criminal mastermind who figured out how to become the president of the United States, embezzle billions, and steal a presidential election so cleanly that no republican has been able to produce any evidence of his crimes. The two don't quite fit together.
ReplyDeleteIn truth he is a lifelong moderate respected by his colleagues and won the presidency largely because his big advantage among independent voters, but feel free to run with your conspiracies if it entertains you
Would like to see German pitch one of his better games tonight and earn the win.
ReplyDeleteGrosner, all of what you are trying to figure out, most people already know, all of it is true.
ReplyDeleteJason Dominguez is hitting .306 .375 .431 in July, so hopefully he is starting to "conquer" AA.
ReplyDeleteHeavy thunderstorms arriving in NYC now and radar is showing they will last for several hours, then clearing. Game could start late, get canceled and play double header tomorrow, or storms let up and less rain allows game to be played.
ReplyDeleteTodays Yankee lineup.

Anthony Volpe (R) SS
Kyle Higashioka (R) C
No Rortvedt again. Bullpen is fully rested. Need production when it counts most.
Grosner, open your eyes. YOUR words of ignorance, and I quote, "In truth he is a lifelong moderate respected by his colleagues and won the presidency largely because his big advantage among independent voters, but feel free to run with your conspiracies if it entertains you." I think it entertains YOU. It is truth only if you are an utter fool.
ReplyDeleteRight now, torrential rain in city, radar says gone around 8PM. Take tarp off and get field ready? Start if they can 845 - 915?
ReplyDeleteUpdated radar now has rain ending around 7PM. Now likely a delayed start to game?
ReplyDeleteIf Grosner made a valid logical common sense point(s), he wouldn't be so bad. He may just be trying to pull peoples chain.
ReplyDeleteYanks down 4-0 after 5.
ReplyDeleteAfter trailing 7-0 Yankees score 2 in 7th and 1 in 8th but couldn't come up with the big hit when it mattered most.
ReplyDeleteFinal. Yankees lose 9-3. German takes the loss, giving up 6 runs in six innings, Yankees scored late in the game and were shut down completely as Mets built their lead. Rodon starts tomorrow for Yankees who need the win to split this series. Rodon will be trying for his first win with the Yankees.
ReplyDeleteVerlander will go down in history as one of the best pitchers in MLB, if he isn't already considered as such now.
ReplyDeleteRodon on the Yankee fans hot seat tonight. He needs to win over the fans, pitch and 'ace' game and hopefully the Yanks will win. This is what the pressure of playing in nyc is about. Some can hack it, some can't.
ReplyDeleteI get new from many sources, and decide what makes the most sense. I can easily detect baloney and statements made my talking heads. Being a registered democrat . I don't vote for someone just because they have a 'D' next to their name. I can't vote for Biden because he and his family are in deep scandal according to actual evidence.
ReplyDeleteBiden also shows major signs of cognitive disability. I also do not like the preferential treatment he and Hunter are receiving from the DOJ, FBI, and IRS.
Biden's cognitive ability is a concern. Thus, the importance of his VP is critical. Biden's VP is most inarticulate, unqualified, race-baiting, leftwing liberal politician in history. She had the nerve make her 9/11 speech a racial lecture. She has only one card in her deck, the race card. Her recent trip to Florida to complain about one line out of hundreds of pages of a report written by highly educated and supported by other highly black men who supported the entire writing is laughable. She, since being named the Border Czar, has done nothing to help the border issue, and in fact made it worse. She and Biden condemned border patrolmen for whipping illegal immigrants, when it never occurred. Just another extension of their 'defund the police' policies. They have flamed disrespect and hatred for the police, as is evidenced by the increase of all crime across our country. Unfortunately, respect for police may never be able to be restored.
Without law and order, everything else crumbles. The summer of 2020 riots, which were not condemned by democrat leaders and the leftwing media, but heralded by them as peaceful protests. Innocent people were murdered, businesses and home burned to the ground, Police were not allowed to protect the citizens, and that should be disturbing to every human being.
I do not Trump the person, but in all truthfulness most of the attacks against him were overexaggerated and near hysteria. Such as he is worse than Hitler. Hitler references are an insult to all the Jewish people, especially those who actually experienced the horror of a truly evil man in Hitler.
Some of my fellow democrats complain of 'grab the p---y' issue. I am a guy, and I know that such silly chatter is what every guy has participated in when talking with fellow men in conversation about things that they claim they have done that they may never have or ever would. How would any of you feel if your personal conversations were recorded and played in public? How would any of us feel? Anyone who complains Trump's non-public language have known people in their life have known people just like that. The difference being, that it wasn't recorded and played publicly. Most men report they have spoken that way at one time or another.
The VP also called Biden a racist during one of the nomination debates, which she conveniently forgot about after being named VP by a man she considered a racist. Too many politicians suck.
The Russia collusion and China virus fiasco turned out to be a complete fabricated hoax, and it hampered Trump's entire presidency unfairly. The economy was purring along until the pandemic. To deny that is to reveal yourself as a delusional, obsessive Trump hater who won't give Trump an ounce of credit for anything because you despise him so much.
So maybe Trump deserves another chance. Will I vote for him? If I were on an airplane or undergoing surgery, I'd prefer my pilot or surgeon be the most skilled, not the most woke. If I were required to vote in the next election, I'd rather have Trump over Biden and his current VP.
Being woke is not always the sole factor nor the most important factor, especially when your life, or your country's life depends on it. If China or Russia ever take over America because of our growing incompetence and dominance of non-intellectual education courses (CRT and 1619), a person's wokeness is going to matter as little as your Trump hatred.
Who will I vote for? Only time will tell.
Ziggy Mann, hear hear. One heck of a fine post.
ReplyDeleteTodays Yankee lineup.
ReplyDeleteCarlos Rodon L
Isiah Kiner-Falefa (R) LF
Gleyber Torres (R) DH
Giancarlo Stanton (R) RF
Anthony Rizzo (L) 1B
DJ LeMahieu (R) 3B
Harrison Bader (R) CF
Anthony Volpe (R) SS
Kyle Higashioka (R) C
Oswald Peraza (R) 2B
Rodon was brought here to give the Yankees a "pair of aces". So far, no close. Tonight Rodon has a chance to step up and make a case for himself. Time to produce when it matters most. Can he take the NY pressure? We will see. Eight right handed Yankee bats but for Rizzo. Need to score and put up a few crooked numbers on the scoreboard.
will-i-am, loved you comment re Rodon. Some great reading on here today.
ReplyDeleteA day of good news on many fronts.
ReplyDelete1.Judge back on roster Friday.
2.Hunter 'crackhead' Biden plea deal overturned. Prison on his horizon?
3.Brilliant eye-opening comments on this blog.
Just need a win tonight to add to the list.
Lets go Yankees.
ReplyDeleteA note to the Yankee right handed hitters for tonight. Go with the pitch and hit the outside pitches to right and right center. MALE CONTACT -- strikeouts are useless, just like the stat frauds.
ReplyDeleteSteve(winstheonlystat), it's MAKE contact. πππππ Male contact is something else. πππππ
ReplyDeleteYankees score 2 in 2nd for a 2-0 lead.
ReplyDeleteYanks up 3-1 after 4.
ReplyDeleteRodon goes 5 2/3 innings and leaves leading 3-1.
ReplyDeleteYanks up 3-1 after 7.
ReplyDeleteYankees even series with 3-1 win. Rodon did his job.
ReplyDeleteFinal. Yankees win 3-1. Rodon went 5 2/3 innings allowing 1 run and earned the win. Yankee bullpen was no drama tonight as retiring the Mets 10 times with no hits or walks. In order King last out in 6th and a hold. Peralta a scoreless 7th and a hold, Kahnle a scoreless 8th and a hold and Homes a scoreless 9th and a save,
ReplyDeleteYankee scored 2 runs in 2nd on a Peraza rbi fielders choice grounder and a Kiner-Falefa sac fly. Final run scored in 4th on Volpe rbi single to right field. Rodom worked hard and did what he had to for the win.
Off day for Yanks tomorrow and then a three game series with the Orioles in Baltimore over the weekend.
ReplyDeleteCole, Schmidt, and Louie Louie starters for O's series. Game one win would be big.
ReplyDeleteZiggy Mann, I agree.
ReplyDeleteFloridaYankee, you added to the list, the Yankees won.
Jessica Hart, that was funny.
YankeeMike, yes Rodon did what the team needed, especially since the offense only scored 3 runs.
Win every series. Gain ground every week. Make the playoffs. Win the World Series. Yes we can.
ReplyDeleteYankees have DFA'd Calhoun. That move opens a spot on the 40 man roster for ??someone??
ReplyDeleteTodays Yankee lineup.
ReplyDeleteGerrit Cole R
Gleyber Torres (R) 2B
Aaron Judge (R) DH
Anthony Rizzo (L) 1B
Giancarlo Stanton (R) RF
DJ LeMahieu (R) 3B
Billy McKinney (L) LF
Harrison Bader (R) CF
Anthony Volpe (R) SS
Ben Rortvedt (L) C
Judge is back. Life into the lineup. Rortvedt finally in again. Lets go Yankees. Take this series,
Baltimore has been playing good steady under the radar baseball pretty much all season. They will not be easy,
ReplyDeleteRain delay in Baltimore.
ReplyDelete0-0 after 2.
ReplyDeleteFive innings done. Scoreboard is same for both teams, 0 runs 2 hits 0 errors. 0-0 after five.
ReplyDelete0-0 after 6.
ReplyDeleteCole goes seven scoreless innings, leaves with the score tied 0-0, and gets a no decision as the Yankee bats can't score a run for him.
ReplyDeleteFinal. Yankees lose 1-0. Kahnle gives uo a walk off HR with one out in the bottom of the ninth. A terrible loss, but you never win when you don't score any runs. Judge cane back, but the Orioles nullified him by walking him three times.
ReplyDeleteI could see it coming. Boone was changing pitchers like he was putting nickels into a slot machine. Nothing worse than losing by one run with the final score 1-0. Stanton needs to be Hicks'ed. Outta here whiff machine.
ReplyDeleteLast night the Yankees and Orioles demonstrated exactly what production when it matters most is, and exactly what it means as to which team wins or loses. During the game only one batter produced when it mattered most. The batter hit a walk-off home run in the ninth inning for one run, the only run of the game. As always production when it mattered most determined who won the game. At the end of the season, the playoffs, and the World Series, the players and the team that have produced when it mattered most are the best players and team in baseball for that season.
ReplyDeleteProducing when it matters most, the most, creates wins. Wins and winning are the determining factors as to which teams and players go to the playoffs, advance through the playoffs, and eventually win the World Series. NOTHING ELSE MATTERS
Sell Sell Sell...even give away this team. rebuild. shed salary.
ReplyDeleteCody Hoefert, your opinion is that of an idiot. The owner of one of the most valuable and richest franchise in sports is not going to what you posted. Dumb de dumb dumb.
ReplyDeleteCan the Yankees win the next two games? Only if they score more runs than the O's.
ReplyDeleteSteve(winstheonlystat), bingo. The stat frauds kneel at the altar of individual and fake stats. Individual and fake stats lead to the path of some of the biggest losers in MLB, and more likely than not to bad a bad investment.
ReplyDeleteCody Hoefert, you are a loser in life's lottery.
Schmidt tonite. Can he stop the O's. Cole did last night and Yanks still lost.
ReplyDeleteTodays Yankee lineup.
ReplyDeleteClarke Schmidt R
Gleyber Torres (R) 2B
Aaron Judge (R) RF
Giancarlo Stanton (R) DH
Anthony Rizzo (L) 1B
DJ LeMahieu (R) 3B
Isiah Kiner-Falefa (R) LF
Harrison Bader (R) CF
Anthony Volpe (R) SS
Kyle Higashioka (R) C
Can't figure out Boone's lineups. No common sense, no logical rationale. I know nothing, he knows baseball and what he is doing, π¬π±ππππ²☹️πππ§π©π±πͺπ
Guy Padikian, don't bother trying to figure it out. No one can. I'll bet you can ask any fan about it and you will get many different answers. Mine, how in God's name can Stanton be batting in a prime spot in the order. In my opinion, he shouldn't be on the team anymore. How long does it take for the 'career' baseball people need to see he is washed up, and useless as a player. He can't hit, he can't field, he can't run. He doesn't care, he has a multimillion-dollar contract and a no trade clause. He must get a big laugh every time he looks at his bank account.
ReplyDeleteYanks up 4-2 after 4.
ReplyDeleteYankee score 4 in top of sixth to take an 8-3 lead. Higashioka solo home run and the big when it matters most hit, a three RBI double by Kiner-Falefa. Bullpen time for the Yankees.
ReplyDeleteYankees with a big game from Judge and IKF for five rbis. Schmidt struggled but got the run support for the win.
ReplyDeleteFinal. Yankees win 8-3. Even series with rubber game tomorrow. Clarke goes five innings giving up 3 runs and earns the win. Hamilton and Ramirez close out game with two perfect innings each. Yankee scoring Kiner-Falefa with the big hit a base loaded 3 rbi double, Judge a 2 run home run, Higashioka and Stanton with solo home runs, and Torres with a sac fly. Rubber game tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteSeverino starts rubber game tomorrow. Come up big? or crash and burn? Lineup with another big game?
ReplyDeleteSweet win. Judge does make a difference. Only losers give up.
ReplyDeleteAverage making up one game per week for the rest of the season, surely make the playoffs, and maybe win the division.
ReplyDeleteLast night was an awakening? Another win tonight could get the ball rolling. Cortes and Loaisiga back real soon will be another shot in the arm.
ReplyDeleteLoaisiga scheduled to throw an inning for Tampa Tarpoons this afternoon.
ReplyDeleteHow about this -- Loaisiga goes two full innings in Tampa a little while ago -- six up six down -- 18 pitches 15 strikes -- 2 strikeouts. He will take a lot of pressure off of King, Marinaccio, and others. Great news, and more to come.
ReplyDeleteFloridaYankee, thank you, thank you, thank you, that is great news. Cortes went four innings a few days ago and was spot on. The team just needs to put everything together and start a drive to the finish line.
ReplyDeleteI hope the Yankees don't do any deals, we will have all we need to make the final run with two months of wins.
ReplyDeleteAll I can say is LETS GO YANKEES.
ReplyDeleteTodays Yankee lineup.
ReplyDeleteLuis Severino R
Jake Bauers (L) RF
Gleyber Torres (R) 2B
Giancarlo Stanton (R) DH
Anthony Rizzo (L) 1B
Isiah Kiner-Falefa (R) 3B
Harrison Bader (R) CF
Greg Allen (S) LF
Anthony Volpe (R) SS
Kyle Higashioka (R) C
No Judge, not even as DH, 98% of the time he can be sitting on the bench. Again, no Rortvedt, why did they get him? Louie Louie hopefully gives us a chance and hopefully the bats produce when it matters most, Bullpen at fool strength but for last night's heroes, Hamilton and Ramirez.
Guy Padikian, maybe Judge asked off. Or possibly the toe doctors/orthopedics/manager decided to take things slow and ease Judge along so they all could manage the injury. I was somewhat surprised Judge is even able to play. But medicine has come a long way in helping athletes.
ReplyDelete1. If it was planned to rest Judge, we should have taken him out of last night's game when up 8-3 after 6 innings. Let him rest the last three innings of a game with a five-run lead.
ReplyDelete2. Greg Allen shouldn't start over McKinney. His role should be strictly a pinch runner and defensive replacement.
3. LeMahieu has done well against Kremer. Hate that he is not in lineup tonight.
4. I do not like how we utilize the players we have.
