WIN METHOD SUCCESS

In traveling the country and talking with baseball fans, the questions I get the most are 1.why the WIN METHOD and 2.what makes the WIN METHOD so successful? Most WIN METHOD fans know the answer to these questions already having been followers of the WIN METHOD for many years now. For the skeptics and new fans coming to this blog, I will speak to these questions here. Unfortunately many so many fans of baseball have been dumbed down as to why baseball is played and the desired results sought by most ownership. These dumbed down fans idolize individual statistics. They create and manufacture statistics which tell you little to nothing regarding a players ability to help his team win. In particular, defensive statistics that erroneously measure range of a fielder are totally worthless and are used only by the most ignorant fans of the game. Individual statistics for a hitter tell what a hitter is capable of doing. These stats can tell a hitters propensity for getting a hit, hitting a home run, driving in runs, scoring runs, etc. These individual statistics however, do not tell of the players ability to do what is needed to help his team WIN. A player can be the greatest individually while not being the greatest using the WIN METHOD. Baseball is the ultimate team game. A player scores a run because a team mate may knock him in, a hitter may get an RBI because a team mate got on base to be knocked in. Hitting for a high average is nice, but when you get a hit is usually far more important. Lets talk pitchers for a moment. There are two kinds of statistics for pitchers, those that are strictly individual to the pitcher and those that determine how the team fares. A pitchers job is to WIN or for a bullpen pitcher to hold and or save a game. As the pitchers earn these stats, they are directly related to what their team mates do on the field to allow them to get into the position of earning these individual stats. However, a caveat to a pitchers stat is that a pitchers stat can be directly related to the teams stats. The individual pitchers statistics that only deal with the pitcher himself in the big picture are then relatively meaningless. Wins, holds, and saves are the true measurement of a pitchers ability to help his team succeed. The more wins, holds, and saves the pitching staff earn, the more wins the team earns. And wins is why baseball is played. If you learn anything from the WIN METHOD, learn that wins is why baseball is played. Nothing else matters. Getting back to hitters. A hitter who hits .280 can be more valuable to his team than a .310 hitter on another team. A player with 85 RBIs can be more valuable to his team than a player on another team with 120 RBIs. How can this be? This can be because it is not the individual amassing of personal numbers that matter, it is when these numbers are achieved that matters....For example, a grand slam HR in the eight inning of a game your team is winning 11-2 is meaningless for the team and the end result of the game, but it really adds to the individual players personal stats. While a sacrifice fly in the eight inning to help your team win a one run game can be far more valuable to the team in that it helped the team win the game. I can go on forever, but hopefully you get the gist of the WIN METHOD. The WIN METHOD measures players on their ability to help their team win and solely on their ability to help their tam win. The best of the best players in todays game are the players who help their team to the most playoffs, pennants, and World Series rings.
If anyone has any questions, please post them in the comment section and any of the millions of brilliant WIN METHOD fans will be sure to answer.
Remember WIN METHOD fans, the goal 28 in 11.

  1. What is the problem with defensive stat?

  2. Great post WIN METHOD. It should help baseball fans know the game.

Domenic, defensive stats are ill conceived man created stats. These stats try, very poorly, to how far a player should be able to get to a batted ball over at his area of the field. These useless stats cannot measure how hard a ball is hit (MPH), the height off the ground (inches), whether or not two fielders are positioned in the exact same spot(a few inches difference can mean a player reaching a ball or not), the height of the grass (on ground balls), the hardness of the playing field(one field can be sun baked and another well watered), day or night games (ease of visibility), and I am sure there are others that can not be calculated measurably with any degree of certainty. Thus these defensive stats are frauds, the people who live by them are stat frauds, and they are cited only by the most ignorant fans.

  3. Great blog WIN METHOD. WIN METHOD is right baseball fans, the difference is winning or losing. The best win the most often. In todays era of baseball, no player has any excuse. Love ya WIN METHOD.

  4. I think you covered it all bigbadwolf. And you are right.

    ReplyDelete
  5. The rain is moving fast in Baltimore. Want to get this game in and keep AJ on track.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Let me throw in my two cents. There is nothing wrong with a player attaining high individual stats. The mis-leading concept is that just because he does, it all helps his team. That is patently not true. It may be true for your fantasy league team, but not in the real game of baseball. As is stated in the article, winning is the desired outcome. Teams win because of the contribution of every player on the team, doing what is needed in their role on the team and at the needed opportunity. WINS determine the best, no ifs, ands, or buts.

    ReplyDelete
  7. What I like most about the stat guys is how they blame all the other players on the team when we question why their high stat guy never wins.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Get it done AJ. Concentrate and throw strikes.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Good explanation bigbadwolf fro Domenic. Hope he understands the fraud all to many of these fool stat gurus thy to pull on the fans. And what is worse, all to many of the fans are so stupid they go along with the BS.

    ReplyDelete
  10. We will try to play today. We need to get moving along.

    ReplyDelete
  11. AJ still slated to go tonight looking for win #3.

    ReplyDelete
  12. We are catching a break with the bosux losing, we need to win and open up some ground.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Lets see what the rain out and extra day off does to or for AJ tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Considering some of our bats are not producing yet, we have a lot of upside to look forward to.

    ReplyDelete
  15. True, we haven't started to roll yet. But we just need to win series after series.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Hopefully Hughes will get his act together. He has to be a priority right now. 28 in 11.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Lets give Hughes a couple of more starts to come around. He will.

    ReplyDelete
  18. AJ dominates, the Yankees win and AJ goes to 3-0 and well on his way to 20.

    ReplyDelete
  19. AJ went 7 1/3, giving up 2 2 run HRs in the 7th. Dominated thru out the game and earned the win for himself and the team. Bullpen was flawless over the last 2 2/3.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Great game tonight. Team took control early and cruise controlled to a win. do it again tomorrow. 28 in 11.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Very solid outing from AJ. He was in control and bested a very scrappy O's team. Phil Hughes gets his chance tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  22. After AJ's great game last night, Hughes will need to follow in AJ's footsteps. With the Yankees not skipping Hughes it is very likely they feel comfortable with his ability for now.

    ReplyDelete
  23. For now is the key Gus. How far will the team go if Hughes does not perform? I think he will bounce back and start winning, but just in case.

    ReplyDelete
  24. How nice it will be if Hughes straightens out tonight and earns the win.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I agree Erica. That would be a big boost to the rotation also. 28 in 11 is the goal, you can help Phil.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Will be rooting hard for Hughes. He is so young and can give us many years of quality service.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Just do it Phil. Throw strikes and be positive.

    ReplyDelete
  28. With the rain out this is a two game series and the worst is a split, but lets whisk broom it.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Hughes gets bailed out by his team mates. What a great win. Sweep.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Yankees come back from 5-0 to win in 1o, 6-5. Many players contribute to the win. The biggest is the bullpen with a spotless 5 2/3 innings of shutout pitching.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Truly a WIN METHOD win for the Yankees tonight. Great comeback and never giving up. Mo gets the win.

    ReplyDelete
  32. The team hung tough and came back. Now the Rangers come in for three. Lets take this series and keep moving along. A true team effort.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I loved the comeback last night. these are the games a team uses as stepping stones to a championship. A lot of guys contributed in various ways.

    ReplyDelete
  34. What a nice win. Almost makes up for the 4-0 lead we blew last week. Baseball is about wins and chalk up another one. Hughes still not on track.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Nova slated to go tonight against the Rangers. This gives CC and extra day off. Lets go Nova.

    ReplyDelete
  36. That would mean CC tomorrow on six days and with Thursday next week being an off day, CC would go Friday after another six day off. Brilliant use of his ace by Girardi.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Girardi has been brilliant since he has been here. Would be nice for Nova to come up really big tonight. Texas is a good hitting team.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I see we lost on of our two lefty specialist. Feliciano out for a year with surgery.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Right now Nova is our #3. I don't know where Hughes is right now.

    ReplyDelete
  40. With the way AJ is going, if Nova steps up, we have some time to figure out Hughes' problem.

    ReplyDelete
  41. It would be great if Nova could give us seven innings tonight, oh yeah, and WIN.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Hughes put on shelf (DL) to restore his dead arm. Good news of sorts. He could be as good as new when he gets back.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Lets see now. We only give up four hits, but too many walks and wild pitches, we hit into six double plays and still have a shot in the ninth inning scoring and having the winning run at the plate. However, we lose 5-3.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I would love to see Nova concentrate and bear down more on the first hitter each inning. He seems to let the lead off batter in each inning get on base a lot.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I noticed that too. Getting the first out in any inning is solid baseball because even if you put a runner or two on after the first out, one pitch can get you out of the inning. Texas did that six times last night and won.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Wonder what Garcia will give us today. If he keeps us in the game and we can win that will be great.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Freddie Garcia just complete six innings of two hit ball and gave the Yankees a needed lift. Beautiful, 3-0 Yankees after 6 1/2 with Joba throwing a dominating 7th.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Yankees even series with a 5-2 win. Garcia gets the win, Soriano falters in the eighth allowing two runs, and Rivera closes the game and earns another save.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Nice game from Garcia and a nice win as we go for 28 in 11.

    ReplyDelete
  50. If CC can earn us the win tomorrow night we have another series in the bank. Lovely game from Garcia, better than expected.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Strong start from Garcia. All after not starting since spring training. Good win for the team.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Soriano almost blew it. Have two off days next week which should help settle the pitching for a week.

    ReplyDelete
  53. CC should be well rested for tonight.
Take this series and then move on to Toronto for two and Baltimore for three. Just win and go for 28 in 11.

    ReplyDelete
  54. This is a game we sometimes take for granted. The team still must perform and get it done. Lets make it easy for CC tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Missed yesterdays game. I have long been a fan of Garcia. Great job Freddie and keep doing it.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Game on espn tonight. CC will earn his first win of the season.

    ReplyDelete
  57. As WIN METHOD fans know, all we need to do is play one game at a time and win more than anyone else and all will be fine.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Hey johnny, how are you doing? Study in school and play hard to win.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Many fans are complaining about our pitching. Lets see now. We are in first place, CC hasn't won a game yet, A starter is on the DL. things are good in the land of the WIN METHOD.

    ReplyDelete
  60. WIN METHOD plays the hand it is dealt. Sometimes you have to over come road blocks. The path to 28 in 11 is not easy.

    ReplyDelete
  61. 5-4 Yankees after 6. CC has been struggling, but home runs by Cano, Martin, and Granderson account for all 5 Yankee runs. Now up to the bull pen.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Joba gives up run in the 7th. 5-5 after seven. W e have Soriano again for the eight.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Chavez with an rbi for a 6-5 lead after 8. Rivera coming in to try to save another game.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Three up three down for Rivera. Yanks win 6-5.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Theeeeeee Yankeeeeeeeeees Winnnnnn.
another series in the books. On to Toronto after off day.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Nice win for the team. CC still hasn't won a game. Soriano gets the win and Rivera a save. Arods sub gets game winning hit.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Very much a WIN METHOD game last night. So many contributing to the one run win. Great win and the taking of another series.

    ReplyDelete
  68. This team is developing some nice character. Chavez, Martin, and Jones have been superb additions to this team and they add much depth with much team spirit. 28 in 11

    ReplyDelete
  69. The two off days this week will give the team a chance to sort out the starting roatation. Very deep starting staff and the best bull pen in baseball will take us to 28 in 11.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Two weeks into the season and things are looking good considering all that has happened. Feliciano out for season, Hughes on DL. We cope and win.

    ReplyDelete
  71. That is WIN METHOD baseball. The best there is.

    ReplyDelete
  72. And with everything that is happening, I think the bes thing that didn't happen, was not getting Clif Lee. We are more team.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Isn't it nice to see how solid the Yankee lineup is whether Arod is in it or not. A very good win.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Can you believe this team has set the all time HR record to start a season after 14 games.

    ReplyDelete
  75. There are a lot of powerful bats in the lineup and off the bench. Martin may be one of our biggest assets right now. Posada looks like he is settling in as DH.

    ReplyDelete
  76. AJ tonight going for number four.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Only a two game set in Toronto. Would love to take both.

    ReplyDelete
  78. So far AJ has really stepped up, but I would love to see Hughes get straightened out.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Don't forget Nova, he is big and strong. CC has taken him under his wing.

    ReplyDelete
  80. And Nova is young. WIN METHOD has loaded the farm with many very promising young pitchers. The future is ahead.

    ReplyDelete
  81. 9-5 with now wins from Sabathia and Hughes. Gotta like what's happening as far as the team is concerned. Some stat frauds are surely crying.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Lets get Mo a night off and win a game easily.

    ReplyDelete
  83. 2-1 Yanks after 2 complete.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Yankees up 4-3 after six innings..AJ crack in the sixth, but Robertson comes in to K two batters with the bases loaded and one out, to end the inning.

    ReplyDelete
  85. 5-3 after 8. Mo will come in to try for the save and give AJ his 4th win.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Mo doesn't have it tonight. Gets DP with bases loaded and one out to close out 9th after allowing 2 game tying runs.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Rivera blows save in the 9th.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Oh no Mo. AJ doesn't get his fourth win. Extra innings.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Nova in the tenth is used for batting practice and loses game 6-5. One hell of a horrid loss. That's two like that this year already.

    ReplyDelete
  90. What a downer game. That's why you never give up.

    ReplyDelete
  91. I'm going to bed. Probably won't be able to sleep.

    ReplyDelete
  92. We are now 9-6 and because we have given away two games we truly should have won we are not 11-4. A team just can't keep giving away games like this and eventually be the best.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Yeah, a real tough loss. Just have to rebound tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Colon can give the team a big lift if he can repeat his last outing. No reason why he can't.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Nova was pounded last night, everything he threw was hit hard. Not good.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Nova was relieving, which he is not a reliever. The pressures are different, and some guys are just not relievers.

    ReplyDelete
  97. So true. Fans forget what WIN METHOD preaches. Pressure, game situations, the big stage...that is what divides the men from the boys.

    ReplyDelete
  98. The problem is stat frauds think of the players as machines that should always perform to what the stat frauds believe. A player in one situation may not nor ever be able to perform to whatever level he is accustomed to in a new and different enviorment.

    ReplyDelete
  99. And that is why WIN METHOD fans know more about baseball than any other fans.

    ReplyDelete
  100. 6 2/3 solid 2 run innings from Colon. He looks real good and strong. 5-2 Yankees after 7.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Nice win and good for Colon who is probably our #3 right now. Soriano for the save. Day off and the weekend in Baltimore.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Colon is giving us some innings also. What a pleasant find and what great service we are getting from a veteran unflappable star.

    ReplyDelete
  103. So with CC, AJ, Colon, Garcia, and as of now Nova, we have as just a good rotation as anyone. throw in our relief corps and we likely have the best pitching staff in baseball.

    ReplyDelete
  104. 10-6, not bad. day off, cc tomorrow vs the o's

    ReplyDelete
  105. Also first place. Wait until we really start rolling. 28 in 11.

    ReplyDelete
  106. After today off, I think we have something like 30 some game with only one day off. Good thing we have so many quality starters.

    ReplyDelete
  107. It's 33 games in 34 days Vinny. I can live with 20-13 and add our 10-6, that would leave us at 30-19 or just over .600. Hopefully it will be better than that.

    ReplyDelete
  108. I have been posting over at NYY forum and read posters talking about this blog. I see where you guys are coming from and will be posting here to. I agree, wins are the most important aspect of baseball.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Welcome to the light and the real baseball world AAA.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Welcome AAA. I think it's about time CC got his first win. I expect it tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  111. I am taking my family to the O's series tomorrow. All three games. My two boys already know that winning is what counts.

    ReplyDelete
  112. Get us the sweep. 28 in 11.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Set the tone CC. Stop them cold. Lets win in a rout.

    ReplyDelete
  114. We are do for a laugher Deb. How about 12-1. 28 in 11.

    ReplyDelete
  115. We may have to play around the rain drops tonight if we can get the game in at all. Bear dwon CC.

    ReplyDelete
  116. lets go for the sweep, one game at a time. 28 in 11

    ReplyDelete
  117. Rain out, try again tonight. We are going to have several games added to the schedule later in the year that will tax are pitching.

    ReplyDelete
  118. Now down to another two games series, if they play. More rain possibilities.

    ReplyDelete
  119. It looks like there is a good window to get tonights game in. CCto dominate and the Yankee bats to dominate.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Looks like the game will be played as of now. go Yankees. 28 in 11.

    ReplyDelete
  121. Yankees up 6-3 after 7. Lets finish it off.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Gary Long calls for a 12-1 Yankee laugher. How about 15-3.

    ReplyDelete
  123. Good call Gary. Alas, too many wasted runs. Not very WIN METHOD, but it sure makes the stat frauds feel good.

    ReplyDelete
  124. We can't get complacent. A win is a win. You get nothing extra for winning by a run or two or ten or twelve. The goal still is 28 in 11.

    ReplyDelete
  125. Happy Easter everyone. Don't eat to much candy. But lets get another win.

    ReplyDelete
  126. Happy Easter. May God bless the Yankees and Yankee fans. 28 in 11.

    ReplyDelete
  127. Garcia today. Lets see if he duplicate last outing. If we win we are 3 of 4 on the short road trip. a loss and we are left with 2-2.

    ReplyDelete
  128. If the bats stay hot, Garcia won't have much to worry about. Just keep the team alive and earn the win.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Garcia, six innings, 0 runs, 2 hits. Yanks up 3-0.
This could be the best pitching staff in baseball.

    ReplyDelete
  130. Joba and Mo blow Garcias chance for a win. 3-3 top of the 11th in a rain delay.

    ReplyDelete
  131. Captain and team leader Derek Jeter strokes four hits while Curtis Granderson following Jeter in the lineup delivers three hits, totaling seven of the the Yankee 1ten hits to lead the Yankees to a 6-3 11 inning win. Three of four on the rain shortened road trip.

    ReplyDelete
  132. Nice win that should have been won in regulation.

    ReplyDelete
  133. Four hits for Jeter. He will shut up the whiny cry babies with hits and wins.

    ReplyDelete
  134. People, don't forget Garcia. Six shutout innings with two hits. Just another one of our roster of aces.

    ReplyDelete
  135. The pale hose come to NY for four games, then the Blue Jays for three. A five and two home stand would serve us well.

    ReplyDelete
  136. AJ starts off the four game series tonight. Keep the line moving AJ.

    ReplyDelete
  137. Just keep winning. Jeter keeps getting a few multiple hit games and setting the table and we will roll.

    ReplyDelete
  138. AJ, Nova, Colon, CC are scheduled.

    ReplyDelete
  139. Then there is Garcia who is doing well and Hughes on the DL lying in wait. Plus a slew of up and coming AAA prospects. Solid

    ReplyDelete
  140. Possible showers and or thunderstorms all four games with the Sox. Hopefully we will get all in.

    ReplyDelete
  141. Jeter on track, the pitchers doing great, the team mostly hitting. Just keep doing it.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Dare I say SSSWWWWEEEEEEEEPPPPP.

    ReplyDelete
  143. Yes sweep, one game at a time. Do it AJ.

    ReplyDelete
  144. AJ throw strikes, make them swing at what you want them to, Go to 4-0.

    ReplyDelete
  145. Hopefully Jeter can have another multi-hit game and led the way to another win.

    ReplyDelete
  146. What a weekend. A rain out and then two wins. Great seats and I get to go back on a rain check from Fridays wash out. Go Yankees.

    ReplyDelete
  147. White Sox up 1-0 after six. Humber throwing no-hitter against Yanks.

    ReplyDelete
  148. 1-0 Sox after 8. No hitter gone and Humber gone. One more chance for the Yankees. AJ goes 8 solid innings giving up one run.

    ReplyDelete
  149. There is the WIN METHOD coming to life again. Pay back for wasting runs in a 15-3 win only to lose 2-0 tonight. The difference is WHEN, not how much.

    ReplyDelete
  150. Proof beyond a doubt how right WIN METHOD baseball is. AJ pitches his best game of the year and loses. Individual stats are meaningless unless the team wins.

    ReplyDelete
  151. Humber showed last night what it is to pitch and just not throw. Location, changing speeds, a little movement.....these are the things that can make a pitcher a winner without throwing 95+. Try again today, need three straight to win the series now.

    ReplyDelete
  152. It's a loss, we just have to come back and keep winning. You can't win every game. Even the series tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  153. Nova tonight. He needs to give us a really good game and a win.

    ReplyDelete
  154. Hughes has a set back yesterday. Wonder what the specialist will find.

    ReplyDelete
  155. Whatever it is, we will fix it. We are WIN METHOD, we excel. 28 in 11.

    ReplyDelete
  156. the time off for nova, missing some starts may help him.

    ReplyDelete
  157. Nova needs to step up and pitch the way he is touted. Or he may go south.

    ReplyDelete
  158. Nova goes a solid 6 1/3 allowing one run and leaves leading 2-1 and has the chance to earn the win if the Yanks can hold it.

    ReplyDelete
  159. Soriano blows the lead and the Yankees lose 3-2. Two great catches in right field by the Sox right fielder saves the game for the Sox in the 9th. Rotten loss.

    ReplyDelete
  160. Last night was another illustration of WIN METHOD baseball and just what it takes to help a team win. A defensive replacement who entered the game as a pinch runner is the star of the game without ever swinging a bat.
No way on this Gods Earth can a stat fraud live with this nor explain it, escept for sniveling...'it was an outlier' or 'it was an anomaly'.

    ReplyDelete
  161. You nailed it sid. Now we have to win the next two just to break even. Colon tonight for the stopper win.

    ReplyDelete
  162. Two rough losses, but those things happen over the long season. We will win our share and then some. Colon tonight for the win.

    ReplyDelete
  163. Considering Hughes is down, the questions about AJ, the signings of Garcia, Colon, etal, being 12-8 and in first place, we are doing fine on the road to 28 in 11.

    ReplyDelete
  164. Just keep plugging away. The cream rises to the top and we are the cream.

    ReplyDelete
  165. Still five games to go in short home stand. Can still take the stand.

    ReplyDelete
  166. Lets get a streak started.

    ReplyDelete
  167. Colon simply brilliant for 8 innings with Mo closing it out for a 3-1 Yankee win. Five straight brilliant games from five different Yankee starters.

    ReplyDelete
  168. That starts a one game streak. CC can make it two and earn a series split tomorrow. Colon has been super.

    ReplyDelete
  169. I love the positive attitudes here. It sure beats the negativity on the baseball forums.

    ReplyDelete
  170. Colon and Garcia are even better than expected right now. Hoping for a 4 and 5 starter and wind up with two prospective aces for many teams. CC to even series tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  171. Don't really want CC to miss his turn or lose another game to a rain out.

    ReplyDelete
  172. There will be baseball at the Stadium with Sabathia on the mound for the Yankees.

    ReplyDelete
  173. Yankees no hitted after four innings, but lead 2-0.

    ReplyDelete
  174. Yanks about to even series scoring six runs in the 5th for an 8-0 commanding lead.

  175. Yankees rout the Sox 12-3. Split series and now the Blue Jays come to town for three games. A sweep would be very nice.

  176. We should've won three games against Chicago, but what can you do. Just keep winning.

  177. Nunez gave Jeter a night off yesterday and the first ball hit to him he booted for an error. No one can replace Jeter defensively.

  178. johnsondc has the stat frauds tied up in knots and chasing their tales at a talk forum.

  179. I used to post over there alot. Those guys know little about baseball and snipe left and right. this is a positive blog with positive posts from people who know baseball and the way it should be played.

  180. Garcia goes tonight. will he keep his run going. Just earn the win. Lets take the series and move on.

    ReplyDelete
  181. Jeter back tonight after a game off. After Nunez' error to start the game and CC having to pitch out of a situation that could have led to a different outcome of the game, it will surely be nice to have the best defensive shortstop back at the position he owns. Go Yankees.

  182. Get this series started on the right foot. WIN tonight. 28 in 11.

  183. So far without Hughes, we have had guys step up. That is what WIN METHOD players do.

  184. 2-1 Jays after three. Garcia not sharp and surrenders 2 run homer to Bautista.

    ReplyDelete
  185. 3-2 Jays after five as Arod the DP machine grounds into another DP with the bases loaded and one out. Robertson in for the 6th. Garcia 100 pitches as he held tough through five.

    ReplyDelete
  186. 5-2 Jays after 7 as Arod strikes out again leaving two more runners on base. Arod is killing the team.

    ReplyDelete
  187. Cano hits his 2nd HR of the night closing the Jay lead to 5-3 after 8 innings. Jeter and Swisher close out the eight with both leaving the bases loaded.

  188. We just can't a hit when it counts and it just may cost us another game.

    ReplyDelete
  189. Blue Jays win 5-3. Too many wasted chances. Couldn't buy a hit when we needed one. Another series opener lost. Now need to win the next two to take series.

    ReplyDelete
  190. Another loss we could easily have won. What a downer.

    ReplyDelete
  191. AJ tomorrow to try to even the series. Not enough clutch hitting. Wasted runs in some games and then can't score a run or two when it can mean the game.

    ReplyDelete
  192. Great game time today people. get your chores done, watch the game, and then go Saturday night party. Just have to win to make the day complete.

    ReplyDelete
  193. Another talk forum bites the dust. Low life stat frauds who when challenged, cry, whine, and snivel. Can't provide any answers or responses so they run and hide. Let the losers go play their fantasy games.

    ReplyDelete
  194. Need to take the next two to have a winning home stand.

    ReplyDelete
  195. Just one hit at the right time WHEN it would have mattered most would have won last nights game. But I am sure some ignorant stat fool is celebrating Cano and is in his glory for having Cano on his fantasy team. Problem is, Cano and his team lost. right, that doesn't matter in the fantasy world were winners are losers and losers are winners.

  196. Garcia didn't have it last night. But he hung tough and kept us in the game. Robertson made a dumb mistake and that is what likely cost us the game. add in the not being able to get a hit when a hit would have mattered the most, by several different players, and it meant a loss. AJ to rebound us today.
