WIN METHOD moving forward to 2011 season

I first must apologize for the wrong information I posted regarding Cliff Lee and his signing with the YANKEES. I can not go into the nitty gritty of how and why I got to the point where I felt Lee would definitely be a YANKEE, but I erred by misreading Lee.
However, being someone who is always positive and sees the glass as half full, this may be a good opportunity for the YANKEES to step forward in another direction. Look for some deals to be made, youngsters from the farm to be given a bigger role, and some of the veterans to step up and shine a little brighter. As the old saying goes, 'the tough get going when the going gets tough'. The playoffs are not earned by stats of individual players, but by WINS earned by all players on the team. All of the current commotion and ado can be pushed to the side and the team can and will move forward to the playoffs and beyond for yet another year in 2011. The best rise to a challenge, and we are going to be the best again.
Look for Andy Pettitte to come back for one more year, AJ Burnett to have his best year ever, the captain to rebound with a brilliant year, and some new pitchers on the block to step up. We will earn 28 in 11. And we will earn it because of the character and fortitude our team will display. We are WIN METHOD.

  1. No need to apologize WIN METHOD. Your character is second to none. 28 in 11.

    ReplyDelete
  2. Great response WIN METHOD. We will overcome. Love ya.

    ReplyDelete
  3. You may be right WIN METHOD. With CC, and if Andy comes back, AJ pitches the way he can, Hughes and a budding farm pitcher, we could be the very fine.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Lee is from Arkansas, what could you expect.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Lee not coming to NY is disappointing, but as WIN METHOD says, we will go forward and WIN.

    ReplyDelete
  6. If Lee didn't want to be here, we would surely not want to have him here. It was his choice for his own reasons.

    ReplyDelete
  7. I love the challenge 2011 brings. This may be the best thing for the team as a team.

    ReplyDelete
  8. No Lee, but we got Russell Martin which helps solidify the catching corps. One step at a time.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Some stat frauds are already saying that the 2011 should be skipped fast forward to the World Series so the Phillies and bosux can get it over with. Wake up frauds, the bosux and Phillies niether will reach the WS. The game is not played by individual stats. It is played on the field and decided by WINS.

    ReplyDelete
  10. When things look bleak, WIN METHOD lifts us up. Yes, 28 in 11.

    ReplyDelete
  11. WIN METHOD and his sources know exactly what they are doing. Leaking "info" to discourage the Rangers and keeping Lee out of the American League? I wouldn't doubt it!

    ReplyDelete
  12. I think it's more fun to win when you are not expected to win by so many. 28 in 11 will be fun.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Grosner...you never know nowadays. Everyone seems to play some kind of angle.

    ReplyDelete
  14. In my opinion whatever WIN METHOD does is on the up and up. He knows his baseball and what it takes to make a team win.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Nice blog post WIN METHOD. Many great responses from posters. To believe you can achieve is to overcome the first obstacle of achieving.

    ReplyDelete
  16. From what I have been reading via all the media sources regarding Cliff Lee, the Rangers, the Yankees, and the Phillies.....it appears Lee is a two faced, phony, lying, sack of manure.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Sounds about right to me Tom. We are probably far better off without him.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Any player has a choice to be a Yankee or not. Those who don't want to be a Yankee are very ignorant in my opinion.

    ReplyDelete
  19. We may come together better as a team without Lee. Teams win, not any one player. Players playing as a team and win are the best.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Lets just get someone else to pitch in the rotation. Someone with guts, unlike Lee.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I can live with that.

    ReplyDelete
  22. It looks like Andy will be coming back. Pettitte to save the day, again.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Heard that too. I will be good having Pettitte for another season and to earn 28 in 11 in his final season.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Being a WIN METHOD team, I bet the Yankees are getting fired up about being underdogs for next season.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I am looking forward to a banner year from the Yankees in 2011.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Martin deal has been finalized.

    ReplyDelete
  27. We only need one decent pitcher to go with CC, AJ, Andy, and Hughes.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Good thing for the bosux that they added some bats, because I think their rotation will crash and burn big time this season.

    ReplyDelete
  29. What rotation. A couple of has beens and a couple of unproven time tested youngsters?

    ReplyDelete
  30. Tampa has been decimated lineup wise, but they still have decent pitching. The sux are the odd man out when it comes to the rotation. But they are stockpiling relievers to shorten the game like the Yankees have done.

    ReplyDelete
  31. We took on Pedro Feliciano from the mets. He did well for that sad sack team and could shine for the Yankees.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Feliciano is a very reasonable second lefty for the pen.

    ReplyDelete
  33. We have two or three minor league quality starters who could be a big surprise for no cash layout.

    ReplyDelete
  34. You called Pettitte coming back for one more season right WIN METHOD. What's that now 99.6% right. Love ya.

    ReplyDelete
  35. With Pettitte returning we need just one more starter to fill the rotation and one backup if someone goes down. Nova will probably fill one spot. Then a signing or another farm kid.

    ReplyDelete
  36. We have two or three other minor league possibilities coming along. We will be fine because we are WIN METHOD.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Less than two months for pitchers and catchers.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Don't forget WIN METHODs blog pick of Adam Warren. I think he needs more time in the minors before he's ready though.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Looking at the Yankees defensively for 2011. Way above average at first, second, and shortstop. average at catcher. Above average in left field and center field, and average in right field. Leaving only third at much below average. That just means Jeter has to cover a little more ground. which he can do, that is what makes him the best defensive shortstop in baseball.

    ReplyDelete
  40. You are correct Steve. Our defense is second to no one except at third base, and with Arods contract no one will take him without us paying a major portion of his bloated salary which he attained while cheating when on steroids.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Just to spare any torment out there. Grienke was not WIN METHOD, and in reality is a disgrace as a human being. His winning of a Cy Young award just goes to show how meaningless that individual award is.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I figured that when the Yankees really didn't seem to show much if any interest in the bum.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Isn't it interesting to see so many pitchers jump to the inferior nl to get out of the supewrior AL. Add Greinke to the list.

    ReplyDelete
  44. They can't take the AL heat and competition.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Man are we in good shape and still have a boatload of cash ready to be used.

    ReplyDelete
  46. We are still WIN METHOD, and that makes all the difference, Only once under WIN METHOD did we not make the playoffs. It will be 28 in 11.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Positive thoughts make for positive outcomes. Leave the whining to the losers and stat frauds.

    ReplyDelete
  48. We still have Jeter to lead us and he has done that better than anyone position player in baseball.
Lifetime .300 hundred hitter and best defensive shortstop in baseball with tremendous range and arm.

    ReplyDelete
  49. So many fans in the wasteland of baseball forums, rip the Yankees, rip Jeter, rip Girardi, rip Cashman, rip the Steinbrenner sons, and on and on ad nauseum. But the Yankees always find a way to get the job done.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I just read the Yankee luxury tax this year is the smallest in something like ten years. see what you save when you don't waste money on players like Lee.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I'm hearing the Yanks are going to offer Damon a one year deal to serve as a backup/fill in role in 2011. He's old, but he's WIN METHOD.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Merry Christmas sports fans.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Damon would make a perfect PH and backup. He sure is WIN METHOD with multiple WS rings.
Merry Christmas to all. 28 in 11.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Grosner..YankeeMike...I would like Damon, but he may not be satisfied being a bench player with the Yankees.

    ReplyDelete
  55. I agree guys. Damon would be fine, but will he come under bench player status?

    ReplyDelete
  56. I think Damon won't come to the Yankees for the reasons you guys speak of. BUT, I don't any team but an also ran can give him playing time. Damon may rather be on a winner than a loser. He has the choice to make.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Damon would only get decent playing time if one of the regulars went down for a long period of time. We really don't need him. Don't we still have nick Johnson lying around.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Yeah, I forgot about Johnson. With Posada as DH were is there a spot for him?

    ReplyDelete
  59. Damon really wants to be an everyday player, so I do not think he will come here.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Merry Christmas Yankee fans.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Merry Christmas and a 28 in 11 New Year.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Happy Holidays and Happy New Year.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Merry Christmas WIN METHOD and all Yankee fans. Love ya.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Yes, Merry Christmas.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Merry Christmas and a happy 28 in 11.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Hale Yankee fans. Best wishes for all.

    ReplyDelete
  67. To one and all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

    ReplyDelete
  68. The best to all.

    ReplyDelete
  69. The very merriest of Christmases to all.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Merry Christmas and to a 28 in 11 New Year.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Merry Christmas guys and gals. 28 in 11.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Hello fans. Merry Christmas everyone.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Hoping everyone is having a great holiday.

    ReplyDelete
  74. A white Christmas for many. 28 in 11 is the prize for the new year.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Me too. Merry Christmas all.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Hope everybody got what they wanted for Christmas. I want a WS title in 2011.

    ReplyDelete
  77. A late Christmas hello fans.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Late for Christmas wishes, but early for a Happy New Year to all.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Sorry I missed everyone for Christmas, but Happy New Year anyway. Lets get 28 in 11.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Looks like all is quiet on the rumor front. Things will pickup after the holidays.

    ReplyDelete
  81. We will celebrate 2011 with our 28th World Series championship.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Great, lets think positive like WIN METHOD believes and good things will happen. 28 in 11.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Missed you johnny. Hope you had a great Christmas. Go Yankees.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Happy New Year to all. Stay healthy.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Spring training is getting closer and a run for our 28th will begin. Best wishes to all for 2011.

    ReplyDelete
  86. The stat frauds have written the Yankees off for 2011 on their paper sheets. The fools need to wake up and discover the games are determined on the field of play by WINS.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Lets get it done in tn 2011. Happy New Year to all.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Stat frauds stat frauds. I am sick an tired of their arrogant ignorance.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Not arrogant, just plain ignorant. Only wins can determine the best.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Best wished for the new year WIN METHOD fans. The smartest fans in the baseball world. Fans that realize winning determines the best of the best not individual stats.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Happy New Year Yankee fans and may the new year bring our 28th.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Best wishes everyone and particularly Yankee and WIN METHOD fans.

    ReplyDelete
  93. And the new year will bring the 28th WS title.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Happy New Year. Lets make it a good one.

    ReplyDelete
  95. To all... HAPPY NEW YEARS.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Looking forward to the new year and another winning WIN METHOD season.

    ReplyDelete
  97. And lets make 2011 a WS ring year for the Yankees and WIN METHOD.

    ReplyDelete
  98. It's 2011, the year of the Yankee. Happy New Year everyone. 28 in 11.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Happy New Year.. Yes I am up and alive.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Happy and healthy new year Yankee fans.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Hoping for a WIN METHOD year for all Yankee fans.

    ReplyDelete
  102. OK people, back to reality, can we win it all with what we have right now?

    ReplyDelete
  103. That's hard to say. We don't know if we have Pettitte. Yes if we do. there still will be some fine tuning in the coming months, and do not be surprised to see one or two minor league up and comers get a real shot. We all may be pleasantly surprised.

    ReplyDelete
  104. We are top of the line competitive with what we have now. Winning it all may depend on another piece of two which we may already have and don't know it yet.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Or we may know it and no body is talking so as not to raise expectations too high.

    ReplyDelete
  106. When the competitive juices start flowing this team will shine.

    ReplyDelete
  107. 28 in 11 is the prize. We will overcome the doomsayers.

    ReplyDelete
  108. If Andy comes back for another year we will be fine.

    ReplyDelete
  109. We have enough very solid minor league starters. It may be good and a benefit to give them solid chances.

    ReplyDelete
  110. WIN METHODs special draft pick Adam Warren got married in WIN METHODs home town over the holidays. Watch for him.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Yes, WIN METHOD did concentrate on pitching over the past few drafts. Soon the kids will take charge.

    ReplyDelete
  112. It appears that Pettittes competitive juices are starting to flow and he is tending to come back for another season like WI"N METHOD has said he would.

    ReplyDelete
  113. It will be great to have Andy back for another year. AJ is going to have is best year ever. And with CC and Hughes we only need one more arm, and there are several ready to come on the big league seen.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Good news hopefully.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Where is everyone?..hibernating.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Just not much going on right now.

    ReplyDelete
  117. Not to much to talk about until something happens. 28 in 11.

    ReplyDelete
  118. Just over a month to the battery reports. Baseball will be alive again, the greatest game.

    ReplyDelete
  119. I like that Cashman is not panicking and making deals just to make deals. Just stick with WIN METHOD players and all will be fine.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Patience wins out in the end. We are still the best, no matter what the talking heads and stat frauds say.

    ReplyDelete
  121. There really isn't much to talk about. Lets get the season rolling.

    ReplyDelete
  122. One month until pitchers and catchers.

    ReplyDelete
  123. Still no action from the front office. What's up WIN METHOD.

    ReplyDelete
  124. I think our staff will be fine when Pettitte returns. I agree with many here, AJ may have his best year ever.

    ReplyDelete
  125. I think Pettitte will definitely will return for another year. He has to much class to string the Yankees along. that may be why the front office is not chasing their tail for a half-ass starter.

    ReplyDelete
  126. WIN METHOD said Pettitte would be back for one more season.

    ReplyDelete
  127. I like things quiet and lesser expectations. Yes, we will overcome all obstacles real and unreal.

    ReplyDelete
  128. WIN METHOD fans. Always positive. that is what happens when you WIN consistently.

    ReplyDelete
  129. The latest rumor is that Pettitte may not be ready to start the season.

    ReplyDelete
  130. The Yankee bullpen, the best in baseball, just got a little bit stronger with the signing of Rafael Sorinao. The game just got a little bit shorter for the starting staff.

    ReplyDelete
  131. What a great signing and coup for the Yankees.

    ReplyDelete
  132. Solid signing. Baseball can't come back soon enough. Football sucks.

    ReplyDelete
  133. Don't anyone forget WIN METHODs special pick of Adam Warren as a starter somewhere down the road. Also Noesi.

    ReplyDelete
  134. WIN METHOD knows more about winning baseball than anyone I have ever come across. He selected pitchers and they will prove to be winners in the majors.

    ReplyDelete
  135. It would be great to go into spring training with a few of our up and coming star young pitchers fighting for a rotation spot. Makes for a bright season for the team.

    ReplyDelete
  136. I am looking forward to this season more than I have ones in the past. I am glad we didn't get Lee. WIN METHOD always finds a way to get to the finish line.

    ReplyDelete
  137. I giggle when I see those who don't know or don't believe in the WIN METHOD talk about Yankee signings. The Yankees signed Soriano because cashman was told to sign him. WIN METHODs influence with the Steinbrenner ownership continues after the passing of "the boss". Cashman does what he is told and WIN METHOD always keeps us in contention.

    ReplyDelete
  138. If the baseball world with their head buried in the sand only knew of the greatness of the WIN METHOD. We here are blessed.

    ReplyDelete
  139. AMEN, Stan. It just seems that so many people believe losing is good and winning is bad.

    ReplyDelete
  140. People miss the fun of baseball. Not everyone can win and most lose, but the fun is the competition and trying to win. To try to be the best you can be every season. With WIN METHOD players who believe winning as a team is more important than any one players personal achievements.

    ReplyDelete
  141. Now the baseball forum fools want Joba to be a starter. Heaven help them through their ignorance.

    ReplyDelete
  142. They are no dumber than the talking head sports writers and ESPN analysts they follow.

    ReplyDelete
  143. You hit the nail on the head Carl. Losers think individual stats are the goal while winners believe the team winning is the goal.

    ReplyDelete
  144. Isn't baseball played for the team to win? Why in the hell would you rate anyone or anything on other than winning and achieving the goal.

    ReplyDelete
  145. Because they are stat frauds. A fraud uses mis-information to cloud the truth. Frauds hate the fact that WINS and WINNING define the best teams and players in the game.

    ReplyDelete
  146. Winning is everything.

    ReplyDelete
  147. Not to stat frauds Vlad. It's all about the individual to stat frauds.

    ReplyDelete
  148. Spring training is getting closer and the world comes alive again.

    ReplyDelete
  149. Can't come soon enough Linda.

    ReplyDelete
  150. The competition for starter spots will be most interestiong.

    ReplyDelete
  151. Yes it will. Could be two spots open if Andy doesn't start the season or doesn't come back at all.

    ReplyDelete
  152. All will be fine. We have tons of talent with a GOLD GLOVE defense at shortstop, second base, and first base. A powerful lineup and the big sleeper in AJ, who has something to prove.

    ReplyDelete
  153. If AJ comes up big that will help us go a very long way.

    ReplyDelete
  154. Hi johnny. You will get to see another great season of Yankee baseball real soon. Concentrate on school first.

    ReplyDelete
  155. I'll take that, and probably so will AJ.

    ReplyDelete
  156. Hopefully AJ can do it.

    ReplyDelete
  157. Plus Hughes is just going to reach the top of his game. He has so many years left and is a top notch starter right now.

    ReplyDelete
  158. I agree about Hughes. He is young, still learning, and gaining confidence. Between CC, AJ, and Hughes we are looking for 15-20 wins from each, at minimum.

    ReplyDelete
  159. Don't we have a big kid Delances at Trenton also.

    ReplyDelete
  160. His name is Delin Betances, Billy. Yes, he will be a star for us soon.

    ReplyDelete
  161. The Yanks bring their kids along slowly. He will be another good one.

    ReplyDelete
  162. I see Cashman said today that he was told to sign Soriano. Thank you WIN METHOD.

    ReplyDelete
  163. So little does the baseball world know of WIN METHOD. That is what you should expect, they have their head buried in the sand.

    ReplyDelete
  164. Also buried in their meaningless stat sheets.

    ReplyDelete
  165. I know it has been mentioned, but I really do like the fact that the Yankees are being summarily overlooked by the talking know little heads.

    ReplyDelete
  166. I agree. No high expectations.

    ReplyDelete
  167. The WIN METHOD will lead us into the light, again.

    ReplyDelete
  168. Only missed the playoffs once since the inception of the WIN METHOD, with more pennants and WS championships than any other team.

    ReplyDelete
  169. It looks like we will have Andruw Jones to replace Marcus Thames.

    ReplyDelete
  170. Jones is a Yankee if he passes the physical.

    ReplyDelete
  171. No big deal. I can't wait for spring training and the rotation spot battle.

    ReplyDelete
  172. Jones may wind up to be a little more dependable hitter and will surely be an upgrade defensively. Will get playing time against some tough lefties.

    ReplyDelete
  173. This is the finest most upbeat blog about baseball I have ever come across. The few contrarians to winning who come here get shot down very quickly and do not get banned. But for sure if one of us went to one the fool baseball forums with winning opinions, we always get banned. The stat frauds have so much to hide and be ashamed of.

    ReplyDelete
  174. I second that Steve. Been here since the biginning. Best there is and WIN METHOD knows baseball and what he is talking about.

    ReplyDelete
  175. WIN METHOD and the WIN METHOD defines the best about baseball and what baseball should be about. Love ya WIN METHOD.

    ReplyDelete
  176. No sports of any value to watch. Baseball season is to short.

    ReplyDelete
  177. We will have spring training games in about five weeks. Then life returns.

    ReplyDelete
  178. Not soon enough. Anymore about Andy?

    ReplyDelete
  179. Being from NY, I will be watching the Jet game tonight, but I would rather be watching the Yankees.

    ReplyDelete
  180. I haven't heard anything new about Andy.

    ReplyDelete
  181. Is he even coming to spring training?

    ReplyDelete
  182. I've heard he may not have been working out over the winter.

    ReplyDelete
  183. I heard the same. I also heard that he wouldn't take much time to be ready.

    ReplyDelete
  184. We will just have to wait to see what happens.

    ReplyDelete
  185. The battery reports in about two weeks. Things will happen fast.

    ReplyDelete
  186. It's going to be a great season.

    ReplyDelete
  187. It's going to be a great season when we win it all.

    ReplyDelete
  188. I think thde Yankees will start the season with maybe two of their young studs in the rotation.

    ReplyDelete
  189. Don't forget Montero may be moved up to the bigs in late May fi he does well at Trenton and is ready.

    ReplyDelete
  190. It will be nice to see some guys earn their stripes. Yankee pinstripes that is.

    ReplyDelete
  191. Earning something is best for a team. Or almost for anything.

    ReplyDelete
  192. I haven't heard anything new about Andy either.

    ReplyDelete
