WIN METHOD Potpourri

So far so good. The WIN METHOD YANKEE 2010 season is off to a brilliant start. For the first time since 1926 the YANKEES have won the first four series to start a season.
This years team appears to be the best and deepest at all positions and aspects of the game.
A quick update on Adam Warren, the special WIN METHOD draft selection in 2009. Adam went to the Staten Island YANKEE team after being drafted and pitched brilliantly for the Staten Island team. Adam has quickly been promoted to the YANKEE Tampa (high A)team for the 2010 season, and has started off very well in his first two starts. Look for Adam to move up this season to AA and possibly AAA.
Always remember WIN METHOD fans and you newbies coming to this blog for the first few times. Baseball is played for the success of the team, not for the success of any one player. The best players play for playoff teams, pennant winners, and World Series winners. The players who do this most over their careers are the very best players in the game. Not the wannabees win their individual stats, that the stat frauds would lead you to believe. The high individual stat guys are great for fantasy baseball games where winning does not matter. In the real baseball world, it is winning, and only winning that matters.
The YANKEE welcome home dinner was fantastic, opening day was the best ever. The first opening day in the new YANKEE Stadium as World Champions. First home stand resulted in five wins from six games.
Thank you WIN METHOD fans. For being the most knowledgeable YANKEE baseball fans in the world, no, the most knowledgeable baseball fans of anyone in the world. Keep up the great posts and positive attitudes. Keep putting the stat frauds in their place, last place, and keep spreading the WIN METHOD, the gospel of winning and being the best.

It looks like it will be a grand season for the Yankees. 28 in 10

Giambino said...

Vasquez gets another chance tomorrow. If he comes around, look out AL. 28 in 10.

RLA said...

Vasquez falling in line would be fantastic. We need to just keep winning. Tampa Bay is going great guns, but we took the series from them.

Ben Pake said...

Will be on the watch for Warren. Another good pitcher never hurts.

Victor Bruno said...

Steady as she goes. Just keep winning series.

Cindy said...

Lets get off to a solid road start. Win every series.

Dean K said...

Nice win last night. Javy went into the sixth and only gave up runs after having a good size lead. Arod hits a big one. He may be on one of his streaks. Big hits from Po and Swish. Great start to the roadie. Another one tonight. 28 in 10

Giambin0 said...

Vasquez got his chance and he took advantage of it. The pennant race in the AL may be over.

Erica Johnston said...

I stayed up and watched the whole game. Arods HR and Jobas Ks.

Dana M said...

Winning baseball. that is all that counts. 28 in 10.

Hector Lopez said...

Back in first. We just need to play the Rays a few more times to push them down a bit. 28 in 10

Steve said...

for Hughes to pitch well and win tonight and we can take the first 2 games and clinch another series with are number 4 and 5 starters. how sweet it is.

William Mensom said...

You're not kidding. we match up with anybody, anytime. WINS and more WINS, make you the best.

YankeeMike said...

What a game Hughes threw tonight. totally dominating. And he is our 5th starter. 28 in 10.

bigbadwolf said...

Another win with Hughes throwing a one hitter for 7 1/3. Another series. And another chance at a sweep. 28 in 10.

Linda Pardo said...

What a wonderful game. Hughes was super and the Yanks win.

Vincent G said...

Nice win for Hughes and the team against a quality pitcher. Sweep.

Steve said...

Hughes was better than i could have ever expected. What a great game. He was in command form start to finish. The A's only hit one or two balls hard and he had 10 Ks.

Ernie O said...

CC for the sweep . Battle of 2-0 pitchers. Go Yankees. 28 in 10

Benny Pake said...

You called it Steve. Take a series with 4 and 5.

sid greenberg/nyc said...

A big one from CC and we sweep two series in a row. Lets put some distance between us and the also rans in our division.

Jerry Curcio said...

CC loses 4-2. Yankee bats held in check.

Stan the Man said...

Lousy loss in a game we could've should've won, despite turning triple play.

YankeeMike said...

You can't win them all. Start a new run tonight. 28 in 10.

Pat Piper said...

Should be a good game tonight. Burnett vs. Santana. Go Yankees.

bigbadwolf said...

I see that Adam Warren pitched another brilliant game at Tampa A this week. He should be moving up to AA very quickly.

Javier Hernandez said...

Last night is not the type of game you want to lose. AJ was not sharp, but hung in there and kept us in the game. However, our setup man, Joba, pitches the 8th and gets hammered, losing the game. No bueno.

Curtis Johnson said...

OK now we have to win the next two in Anaheim to take the series. Andy today. 28 in 10

Eddie OConnor said...

We had our chances and couldn't close the deal last night. a tough loss. I rather lose 10-0.

johnsondc said...

You're right Eddie. a game you could have won but didn't is bad. A game you lose 10-0 you would have lost no matter what. They are both losses, and equal in that respect, but not equal in the all important mental aspect of the game.

sidgreenberg/nyc said...

Piniero beat us in NY, we need to return the favor. I wonder if the Angels will throw at Tex. He laid out their catcher last night.

Giambino said...

Baseball is an amazing game. Ten days ago Piniero dominates the Yankee hitters. Today the Yankee hitters pound him into a pulp. 6-0 Yankees in the 5th.

Erica Nuyens said...

Yankees win, rubber game tomorrow. Javy goes and can come up big with the series winner.

RLA said...

Nice dominant win. Andy was magnificent again.

Warren Hammond said...

Keep it going and get the win tomorrow. 28 in 10

Anonymous said...

Keep the streak going and win today to take another series. Keep winning and start pulling away from the pack. 28 in 10

Frank R said...

Javy needs to throw his 'A' game to get with the crowd.

Vinny F said...

Over the past five games. #1 pitcher-loss, #2 pitcher-no decision, #3 pitcher-win, #4 pitcher-win, #5 pitcher-win. Now that is deep and nice to see.

Harry Stavris said...

Vasquez got knocked around again and blows a 3-0 lead. 5-4 Angels in the 7th. Get it done guys.

Sharon/NC said...

Oh well. Vasquez needs to get his act together.

johnsondc said...

So far the biggest disappointment of the season has been Vasquezs poor pitching. Yes, Javy, you are not in the inferior nl anymore,

Anonymous said...

I think you hit the nail on the head, johnsondc. Javy will have to up his game to pitch in the AL.

William Mensom said...

The Yankee team was at the White House today. Then on to Walter Reede Hospital for some charitable work.

Cindy said...

Would love to see Hughes build his confidence and competence with a big effort tonite against the O's.

Sandro Icavor said...

I love this blog. The truth.

Frank Sergi said...

2 of 3 is ok, a sweep is better. lets rock and role.

Stan the Man said...

One game at a time, one series at a time. We will rise to the top. 28 in 10.

Erica Johnston said...

Hughes was fine, but then. Not good with a one run loss. Ugh. Now we need the next two.

Sid Lovitz said...

We are losing some games we should be winning. But the season is long. chasing someone is not always bad.

RLA said...

This is where CC earns his money. Stop the losing streak and lets get moving again. 28 in 10.

Cindy said...

I feel a 9-1 streak coming on. 28 in 10.

Bill Behan said...

CC and the team took care of the birds last night. AJ for todays game and hopefully another series before heading home.

Warren Hammond said...

CC rolls on. AJ tonight for the series and a winning road trip.

Vincent G said...

AJ, keep it going.

Teena/Bronx said...

Oh captain, my captain. simply the best in baseball. All hale Derek Jeter.

Cory said...

What a nice win from the Yankees and Jeter last night. Javy gets another chance today.

Giambino said...

Javy needs to step up and pitch a game he can be proud of. There is no reason for him to be the consistent weak spot in the rotation. Everyone has a bad game so often, but you just can't struggling every start the way he has.

johnny said...

Go Yankees.

Erica Nuyens said...

My moneys down WIN METHOD. And Vasquez is mediocre so far today.

Steve said...

I'm down and Javy is out of the game. Now we can come back.

YankeeMike said...

We are fighting back and just took the lead. Jeter is simply amazing.

RLA said...

A rotten one run loss. Hughes will have to take the series tomorrow.

Andy K said...

We need to keep winning series. Hughes on the mound and ready to roll this afternoon.

Giambino said...

You can see it in Hughes eyes. He is pitching with tremendous confidence.

George W said...

Hughes does it again, simply brilliant. Arod out and the Yankee bats go wild. Another series.

Andrew J said...

What a game from Hughes. The Yankee development and patience with him has and will pay massive dividends.

Teena/Bronx said...

Hughes has been awesome. We have CC tonight, but rain is moving through the area. Hopefully it will be gone by tonight.

Sid Lovitz said...

WIN METHOD fans, remember last year when Arod was out of the lineup to start the season and Tex wasn't hitting. then in May when Arod came back and Tex started hitting, how the ignorant stat frauds and talking heads said Tex started to hit because Arod was in the lineup and now Tex was getting protection. Well, this year Arod is in the lineup and Tex is off to his usual slow start and is actually hitting much worse than last year.
So in essence Arod did not and does not make any difference at all.

sid greenberg/nyc said...

You nailed it Sid. And put yet another nail in the coffin of the stat frauds.

johnsondc said...

Nono Sid, you can't be right, because the stat frauds are never wrong. It has to be an anomaly or an outlier. ROFLMAO

Teena/Bronx said...

The rain is moving out here. Should be baseball tonight. I love the stat fraud analogy guys.

bigbadwolf said...

Lets see now, Baltimore is coming off a three game sweep. Why don't we return the favor and sweep them. CC rules. 28 in 10.

RLA said...

Isn't Sabathia the best pitcher in baseball. 28 in 10.

YankeeForever said...

Yes he is. And the Yankees are the best team in baseball. 28 in 10

Stan the Man said...

AJs turn to match CC. Get it done. Win again.

Erica Johnston said...

It looks like the Yankees are going to skip Vasquez in the rotation this week. With the open day, they can with no one getting discombobulated.

Vinnie F said...

We have the best pitching in baseball. Very talented and very deep. Show them AJ.

Giambino said...

What a game from AJ. That's another series in the bank. Go for the sweep today with Andy.

Ernie O said...

Sure looks like the sweep is in the bag. Pettitte is in control and Yanks are up 6-1. 28 in 10.

Tom Loughlin said...

SSWWEEEEEEEEEEEPPPPP!!!!!! Day off then onto Boston.

Linda P said...

Off day. Boston for the weekend and another series win would be fine. 28 in 10.

Karl said...

Nice slate of pitchers for the Yankees this weekend vs. the bosux. Hughes, CC, AJ.

bigbadwolf said...

If the three continue to pitch the way they have over the past few outings, a series win or a sweep could be in the offering. 28 in 10

Steve said...

The bosux series should be interesting. The bosux are coming home after pounding the Angels the last few games and scoring many many runs. Hughes will be tested tonight.

Anthony K said...

First time here. A Yankee friend told me about it. Nice stuff. I love the winning part. And agree, winning is why you compete. If you don't think so, play for another team.

WIN METHOD said...

Glad to have you here Anthony. This is a very positive Yankee blog, where as you have seen, winning determines the best and is the goal of the team. We call the numbers guys, stat frauds. Keep posting. 28 in 10.

Erica Nuyens said...

Love ya, WIN METHOD.

Tom Hayman said...

Like to hear your thoughts on this statement from Brian Cashman, folks. He believes that at some level, statistics do have value. That's pretty much the accepted professional thinking these days: you need a blend of scouting and stats. Done right, they complement each other.

http://yankees.lhblogs.com/2008/03/30/brian-cashman-answers-your-questions/

(Go to question 2)

Tom Hayman said...

Here's another one from Damon Oppenheimer, who's responsible for Yankee drafts.

"The talent comes first, definitely. We are making progress learning more about some of the number crunching and stats. It might make decisions to help separate a guy or two. We continue to use the statistical part of it. It has definitely made progress over the years."*

Talent includes "makeup" (the quality that WIN METHOD stresses. But it's not the only thing, folks. Anyobe who dismisses stats out of hand has blinders on. It's not one approach or the other that pros today use. It's both.

YankeeMike said...

Poor bosux, poor slush bucket. The Yankees beat the crap out of both. Slush bucket left the game crying.

johnsondc said...

I was just perusing a couple of the baseball talk forums. Are all the posters over there brain dead. Ignorant stat after ignorant stat. then each poster seems to challenge the next, on who can post the dumbest comment. Yankee fans here are the best and most knowledgeable.

Giambino said...

Hughes out pitches and out classes Becket as the Yankee trounce the bosux. Go for two and the series today if the rain stays away.

WIN METHOD said...

John....On the Brian Cashman statment. There is no doubt stats are used, even by myself, to some degree. In the final analysis however, it is always the WIN METHOD who will show who the best player is.
Example::::Player A .340BA 35HR 120RBI. Player B .310BA 20HR 90RBI.
The stat guys will always take Player A. The WIN METHOD could select either. That alone is what makes the WIN METHOD best. The WIN METHOD is never blinded by individual stats, but relies most heavily on a players ability to help his team win, which is why the game is played.

WIN METHOD said...

Tom part two, sorry for my misuse of John in my previous reply. Everyone has input in the YANKEE organization. Draftees are picked for many different reasons by many different people using many different ideas on what each thinks will make the draftee help the YANKEES in the future. I interview thousands of prospects each year. I find who is suited best to help the YANKEES win. I tell Mr.S. I want A<B<C etc. Mr.S. then orders his drafters to draft the players I choose and the rest is history. The most productive organization over the pas 15+ years in baseball. There are other draftees who are not WIN METHOD selected, but the cream WIN METHOD players always rise to the top.

Steve said...

For Tom...Every player has stats, but stats alone do not show if a player can help his team win. The WIN METHOD does that. Helping your team win is more valuable than individual stats. that is exactly why some players with lower individual stats can be better than those with higher stats. Individual stats do not win games, players contributing together wins games. Winning is the WIN METHOD and winning always shows who the best players are. Only the the fully demented stat fraud geeks who ever believe that the losing player is better than the champion. But that's what they believe. That alone shows how meaningless stats are in the selection of players.

Tom Hayman said...

Interesting, thank you. So if I understand (and yes, I did have a good look at previous entries), Brian Cashman does not have the autonomy everyone believes he does as GM? And neither does Damon Oppenheimer? (Though Cashman is always there in the draft room.)

Steve, I think you missed my point. Even WIN METHOD has acknowledged that stats are not meaningless. I'll say it again: judging talent and makeup goes hand-in-hand with using numbers as another yardstick.

Most of those who are crudely branded "stat frauds" recognize this obvious truth. Rare is the "geek" who would try to make the call on numbers alone.

Sharon/NC said...

One strike to go for an official game and the half baked ump stops the game. I guess umpires don't need a high IQ.

Cindy said...

What a trouncing of the sox. We are deep all over. Sweep tomorrow?

William Mensom said...

We go for the sweep of the bosux tonight with AJ. Lets get it done. We are the best. 28 in 10.

WIN METHOD said...

Tom. The YANKEE officials in the draft room do have autonomy. However, when Mr.S. says draft X,Y, or Z, X,Y or Z will be drafted. The same goes for any signing. These guys make the trades and deals, but none are consummated unless Mr. S. says OK, except for the very minor ones.

Eddie OConnor said...

I hate ESPN and their Sunday night games.

johnsondc said...

Just my opinion, but I think Tim McCarver on Fox baseball is a jerk, who is usually wrong about everything. His game comments are inane and those of a fool. He doesn't seem to know what he is talking about most of the time. I just detest him.

Fred S said...

I'm glad I am not the only one disgusted by McCarver.

Steve said...

Tom, you must not have come across some of the stat frauds I have. They live and die by stats alone. That is why the fantasy leagues are packed. I, as most WIN METHOD fans use stats, but only to tell me about basic attributes of a player. His heart and soul, borne out by the WIN METHOD is what make him the best of the best.

sid greenberg/nyc said...

Let me capsulize this. I hate McCarver, ESPN Sunday night baseball, fantasy baseball, stat frauds, and anyone who does not know baseball.

bigbadwolf said...

But Sid loves the WIN METHOD.

Tom Hayman said...

Nope, never did a fantasy league. I'd rather watch the games. I think all approaches have something to offer. I like the stats but want to know what's behind them. In all sports I'm interested in roster construction. Like when you see guys from champion teams come to another club and help them win too. But what I'd like to see is how to get a handle on strong veterans who've never been with a winning club but fit in great with a change of scenery. Exhibit A: Scott Brosius.

Warren Hammond said...

The bosux finally beat us and AJ had a bad game. On to four in Detroit. these four games should be very interesting.

RLA said...

Detroit next, with a tough four game set. Three of four would be magnificent. 28 in 10

Dean K said...

Just imagine....Mitre and Vasquez pitching good games the next two nights.

Vincent G said...

Yes Dean, that would be great. The we follow with Hughes and CC.

Pete H said...

A sub starter, a late inning rally that falls just short, and in the end a one run loss. These losses hurt. Another could've should've.

Victor Bruno said...

Lets see what Vasquez brings to the table tonight. Can he prevent a three game skid.

Dennis G said...

Tough loss last night. Missed the big hit a couple of times and squandered opportunities. Not good.

Dana M said...

Rained out. Two today in Detroit. Lets take them both. 28 in 10.

Hector Lopez said...

Javy needs to step up.

YankeeMike said...

Come on Javy. We are rooting for you. You will have to prove yourself.

Giambino said...

Vasquez did a great job today. If he pitches like that from the 5 spot we will roll to the playoffs. 28 in 10.

johnsondc said...

Loss/win or win/win. We split yesterdays double header, but we got a very good performance from Vasquez and a great performance from Hughes. CC for the series split today.

Sandro Icavor said...

Hughes has been out of this world. If Vasquez can do what he did yesterday relatively consistently everything will be fine. 28 in 10.

Pat Piper said...

CC was bad today. Worse is, we are not hitting a lick. UGH

Benny Pake said...

We need to bounce back on this home stand. Twins, sux, Rays. 28 in 10.

bigbadwolf said...

Very nice win last night. Marte cost AJ a win, but the team winning is what counts. Arod delivered to win the game. It would be nice to see him start rolling finally. Andy is back this afternoon. 28 in 10.

Javier Hernandez said...

Keep the line moving Andy. It's all about the win. 28 in 10.

Lou Lis said...

The Yankees and Pettitte up 2-0 after five. Keep it up Andy.

Jerry Curcio said...

Just what the doctor ordered. Andy does it again. Another series in the bank and a chance for a sweep tomorrow.

Jerry Curcio said...

Nice two games after the fiasco in Detroit. You can't win them all.

Erica Nuyens said...

Sergio Mitre will surely be tested by the Twins today. Mauer and Morneau will certainly be a challenge for Mitre. A good game for Mitre will surely be a feather in his cap.

sid greenberg/nyc said...

This is a game that could help determine just how deep our pitching staff is. If Mitre can throw 5 or 6 innings and give up 2 runs or less, we could carry the day. 28 in 10.

YankeeMike said...

One heck of a rotten loss today.

RLA said...

You almost called it Sid. Just that our setup man and closer came up smelling like spoiled milk. UGH!

Steve said...

We have the starters lined up for the next four games. Can we win them all?

Pat Piper said...

Will Hughes do it again. He has been magnificent. 28 in 10.

Giambino said...

Score early and often, put the bosux down right away. 28 in 10.

johnsondc said...

Never give up. First pie of the season goes to Marcus Thames. Thank God for papelbum.

Stan the Man said...

Great win. we needed that kind of win.

Vinnie F said...

What Mo losses one day, Papelbon returns the next. 28 in 10.

Teena/Bronx said...

Big win last night, but I don't know yet about tonights game. We are getting a lot of rain.

Bill Behan said...

What's nice about last nights win. Javy Vasquez earned the win. Sweep tonight.

Teena/Bronx said...

I think the Yankees will get the game in tonight. It should start clearing out just before or around game time. Go CC. 28 in 10.

Sandro Icavor said...

Whoa nellie, what a sad game again. No bueno.

Cory said...

AJ is struggling, things are looking bad.

William Mensom said...

We didn't put up too much of a game last night. AJ had nothing, the Rays hit and we cripple d with injury after injury.

Harry Stavris said...

Can Andy bail us out again. He has been the best left handed pitcher in baseball over the past 15 years.
28 in 10

Giambino said...

Rough game for Andy. The Rays have been doing that to everyone. Regroup, get healthy, and then take back the season. 28 in 10.

bigbadwolf said...

Just need to stay close, get healthy, then tear them all a new one. We will overcome.

John Harris said...

Now we have the mutts for three games. Will it be a welcome respite or more embarrassment?

Bill Behan said...

Can Javy get us off on the right foot tonight. We need to start taking several series in a row again. Injured or not.

johnsondc said...

Yankees brought up Russo to play outfield for tonights game.

Victor Gandozi said...

Vasquez was great again. If he continues that should solidify the starting rotation. Mo falters again but gets the save.

RLA said...

Nice job from out minor leaguers helping to stem the tide while the regulars recover. Nice to see just how deep we are. Hughes tonight.

Erica Johnston said...

8 or 9 of the next 10 would be fine.

sid greenberg/nyc said...

I look for Hughes to bounce back with areal big effort tonight.

YankeeForever said...

Hughes was OK, but we are not hitting WHEN it counts, and thus losing. Will may have to break out the choo choo soon. 28 in 10.

Dennis G said...

We need to take care of business tonight and win this series. Enough is enough.

Terry James said...

Jeter's range has been clearly deficient tonight.

Teena/Bronx said...

Things are not going well right now. Losing a series to the Mets is the pits.

johnsondc said...

We need today off. We need to regroup and come together as a team, WIN METHOD style. Wake up guys.

William Mensom said...

Steady as she goes people. We will overcome.

WIN METHOD said...

Take it easy YANKEE fans. The WIN METHOD will overcome. We will make the playoffs and carry the season.

Erica Nuyens said...

I'm with ya WIN METHOD, love ya.

Pete H said...

Win tonight and break the slide.

Giambino said...

The rotation needs to throw the way they are capable of and being paid.

RLA said...

AJ needs to step it up. throw strikes and make them swing.

sid greenberg/nyc said...

0-0 after 5, rain suspended game, will finish before start of tomorrows game. AJ was on.

Bill Behan said...

It would be great if we can take two today. The bosux are back and have taken two from Tampa.

bigbadwolf said...

Considering we are not hitting as a team, yesterdays two one run very much WIN METHOD type games was great. Can Javy keep it going.

Bill Sheehan said...

A very nice Twin killing yesterday.
We have the series, go for the sweep tonight.

Steve said...

Nice play on words bill. 'Twin killing" LOL

YankeeForever said...

If you lose, might as well lose big. Another series won even though the useless stats should the losing team scored more runs than the winning team. That is the brilliance of the WIN METHOD and the fallacy of fantasy games.

Cory said...

One game at a time, one series at a time. Took Minnesota, now it's Clevelands time to go down. Hughes tonight.

Giambino said...

Very nice win. Arod, who hadn't produced a run out of the 4hole for over a week gets benched. Cano in 4hole hits grand slam, Yanks win 8-2.
Lets see how Arod responds.

Dean K said...

What a rotten loss yesterday. What's up with Joba?

johnsondc said...

Right on Dean, a truly rotten loss. We need to win the next two with a vengence.

sid greenberg/nyc said...

Nice win for AJ. Today is the big one. A split of the four games or three of four. Lets get the W.

Phil Jenkins said...

Andys been sharp so far. Keep it going.

2o f3 from the Twins. 3 of 4 from the Indians. That's 2 series. Let the O's make it 3.

Vincent G said...

Now to take on and win a series From Baltimore. Just keep it going. Javy tonight.

Victor Gandozzi said...

Slowly but surely, just keep winning. Winning is all that matters. Ban stat frauds. LOL

Sandro Icavor said...

Lets go Javy.

Ted Lowe said...

That's the way. One win at a time. Nice win for Vazquez. The rotation five is showing to be the best in baseball.

Keep it going Phil. A win and it means we have another series. WIN

Sam G said...

Jorge is back in the lineup. Go Yankees. SSWWWWEEEEEPPPPP.

Linda Pardo said...

Oh yeah, are guys are back. we won't win every game, but we will win most of then. Hughes is on again. Looks like 7-1.

Carl M said...

Super win last night with the team back together form injuries. Go for the sweep with CC today.

Phil Jenkins said...

The sweep is ours. Nice win. On to Toronto.

Stan the Man said...

AJ tonight. Our rotation is never ending with quality. With the lineup back in tact we could go on a nice steady WIN run.

Anonymous said...

I love the Yankees.

Teena/Bronx said...

I'm so excited are guys are getting healthy and team is almost whole again.

Steve said...

We got beat last night, rebound with Andy today. Lets see how much of Andys junk they can hit out of the park.

Giambino said...

Jeter hammers one for a 2-1 lead. Pettitte hanging tough.

Steve said...

Eleven innings down and score tied 2-2. It's been Andy and Jeter.

Giambino said...

A horrid 3-2 14 inning loss.

George W said...

I hate losing games like todays. Tex struck out five times.

Eddie OConnor said...

There is one conciliation, the Rays have lost both game in Texas. But we could have closed ground. It appears things are catching up to the Rays.

This is a big game for Javy, coming after two straight team losses. Stopper material?
